1 A nd David the king saith to all the assembly, `Solomon my son -- the one on whom God hath fixed -- young and tender, and the work great, for not for man is the palace, but for Jehovah God;

І сказав цар Давид до всього збору: Син мій Соломон, що його одного Бог вибрав, ще молодий та тендітний, а ця праця велика, бо не для людини ця будова, а для Господа Бога.

2 a nd with all my power I have prepared for the house of my God, the gold for gold, and the silver for silver, and the brass for brass, the iron for iron, and the wood for wood, shoham stones, and settings, and stones of painting and of diverse colours, and all precious stone, and stones of white marble, in abundance.

А Я всією своєю силою приготовив для храму свого Бога золото на золоті речі, і срібло на срібні, і мідь на мідяні, і залізо на залізні, і дерево на дерев'яні, каміння шогамське та до оправ, каміння нофехське та кольорове, і всякий дорогий камінь та безліч мармурового каміння.

3 ` And again, because of my delighting in the house of my God, the substance I have -- a peculiar treasure of gold and silver -- I have given for the house of my God, even over and above all I have prepared for the house of the sanctuary:

І ще, через моє замилування до дому Бога мого, є в мене скарб власного золота та срібла, і його я віддав для дому свого Бога, понад усе, що я заготовив для святого храму:

4 t hree thousand talents of gold, of the gold of Ophir, and seven thousand talents of refined silver, to overlay the walls of the houses,

три тисячі талантів золота, офірського золота, і сім тисяч очищеного срібла на покриття стін тих домів;

5 e ven gold for gold, and silver for silver, and for all the work by the hand of artificers; and who he that is offering willingly to consecrate his hand to-day to Jehovah?'

на кожну золоту річ та на кожну срібну, і на всяку працю рукою майстрів. І хто ще жертвує, щоб сьогодні наповнити свою руку пожертвою для Господа?

6 A nd the heads of the fathers, and the heads of the tribes of Israel, and the heads of the thousands, and of the hundreds, even to the heads of the work of the king, offer willingly.

І стали жертвувати начальники батьківських родів та начальники Ізраїлевих племен, і тисячники та сотники, і начальники праці для царя.

7 A nd they give for the service of the house of God, of gold -- talents five thousand, and drams a myriad; and of silver -- talents ten thousand, and of brass -- a myriad and eight thousand talents; and of iron -- a hundred thousand talents;

І дали вони на роботу Божого дому золота п'ять тисяч талантів та десять тисяч дарейків, і срібла десять тисяч талантів, і міді десять тисяч і вісім тисяч талантів, а заліза сто тисяч талантів.

8 a nd he with whom stones are found hath given to the treasury of the house of Jehovah, by the hand of Jehiel the Gershonite.

А в кого знайшлося при ньому дорогоцінне каміння, ті дали його до скарбниці Господнього дому, до руки Ґершонівця Єхіїла.

9 A nd the people rejoice because of their offering willingly, for with a perfect heart they have offered willingly to Jehovah; and also David the king hath rejoiced -- great joy.

І радів народ за їхню жертву, бо вони жертвували Господеві з цілого серця, а також цар Давид радів великою радістю.

10 A nd David blesseth Jehovah before the eyes of all the assembly, and David saith, `Blessed Thou, Jehovah, God of Israel our father, from age even unto age.

І поблагословив Давид Господа на очах усього збору. І сказав Давид: Благословенний Ти, Господи, Боже Ізраїля, нашого батька, від віку й аж до віку!

11 T o Thee, O Jehovah, the greatness, and the might, and the beauty, and the victory, and the honour, because of all in the heavens and in the earth; to Thee, O Jehovah, the kingdom, and he who is lifting up himself over all for head;

Твоя, Господи, могутність і сила, і велич, і вічність, і слава, і все на небесах та на землі! Твої, Господи, царства, і Ти піднесений над усім за Голову!

12 a nd the riches, and the honour from before Thee, and Thou art ruling over all, and in Thy hand power and might, and in Thy hand, to make great, and to give strength to all.

І багатство та слава від Тебе, і Ти пануєш над усім, і в руці Твоїй сила та хоробрість, і в руці Твоїй побільшити та зміцнити все.

13 ` And now, our God, we are giving thanks to Thee, and giving praise to Thy beauteous name;

А тепер, Боже наш, ми дякуємо Тобі, і славимо Ім'я Твоєї величі.

14 y ea, because, who I, and who my people, that we retain power to offer thus willingly? but of Thee the whole, and out of Thy hand we have given to Thee;

І хто бо я, і хто народ мій, що маємо силу так жертвувати, як це? Бо все це від Тебе, і з Твоєї руки дали ми Тобі.

15 f or sojourners we before Thee, and settlers, like all our fathers; as a shadow our days on the land, and there is none abiding.

Бо ми приходьки перед лицем Твоїм та чужинці, як усі наші батьки! Наші дні на землі мов та тінь, і немає тривалого!

16 ` O Jehovah our God, all this store that we have prepared to build to Thee a house, for Thy holy name, out of Thy hand, and of Thee the whole.

Господи, Боже наш, уся ця безліч, яку ми наготовили на збудування Тобі храму для Ймення Твоєї святости, із Твоєї руки вона, і все це Твоє!

17 ` And I have known, my God, that Thou art trying the heart, and uprightness dost desire; I, in the uprightness of my heart, have willingly offered all these: and now, Thy people who are found here I have seen with joy to offer willingly to Thee.

І я знаю, Боже мій, що Ти вивідуєш серце й любиш щирість. У щирості серця свого я пожертвував це все, а тепер бачу я з радістю народ Твій, який знаходиться тут, що жертвує себе Тобі.

18 ` O Jehovah, God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, our fathers, keep this to the age for the imagination of the thoughts of the heart of Thy people, and prepare their heart unto Thee;

Господи, Боже Авраама, Ісака та Якова, наших батьків, збережи ж навіки цей напрямок думок серця народу Твого, і міцно скеруй їхнє серце до Себе!

19 a nd to Solomon my son give a perfect heart, to keep Thy commands, Thy testimonies, and Thy statutes, and to do the whole, even to build the palace which I have prepared.'

А моєму синові Соломонові дай серце ціле, щоб виконувати заповіді Твої, свідоцтва Твої та устави Твої, і щоб чинити все, і щоб збудувати цю твердиню, яку я приготовив!

20 A nd David saith to all the assembly, `Bless, I pray you, Jehovah your God;' and all the assembly bless Jehovah, God of their fathers, and bow and do obeisance to Jehovah, and to the king.

І сказав Давид до всього збору: Поблагословіть же Господа, вашого Бога! І ввесь збір поблагословив Господа, Бога своїх батьків, і нахилилися, і вклонилися всі до землі Господеві й цареві!

21 A nd they sacrifice to Jehovah sacrifices, and cause to ascend burnt-offerings to Jehovah on the morrow of that day, bullocks a thousand, rams a thousand, lambs a thousand, and their oblations, even sacrifices in abundance, for all Israel.

І принесли вони для Господа жертви, і спалили цілопалення для Господа другого дня від того дня, тисячу бичків, тисячу баранів, тисячу овечок, і ливні їхні жертви, і безліч жертов за всього Ізраїля.

22 A nd they eat and drink before Jehovah on that day with great joy, and cause Solomon son of David to reign a second time, and anoint before Jehovah for leader, and Zadok for priest.

І вони їли й пили перед Господом того дня з великою радістю, і вдруге настановили Соломона, Давидового сина, і помазали його Господеві на володаря, а Садока на священика.

23 A nd Solomon sitteth on the throne of Jehovah for king instead of David his father, and prospereth, and all Israel hearken unto him,

І сів Соломон на Господньому троні за царя на місці свого батька Давида, і щастило йому, і його слухався ввесь Ізраїль.

24 a nd all the heads, and the mighty men, and also all the sons of king David have given a hand under Solomon the king;

І всі князі та лицарі, а також усі сини царя Давида піддалися під Соломона.

25 a nd Jehovah maketh Solomon exceedingly great before the eyes of all Israel, and putteth upon him the honour of the kingdom that hath not been on any king over Israel before him.

І Господь високо звеличив Соломона на очах усього Ізраїля, і дав на нього величність царства, якої не було перед ним ані на жодному цареві над Ізраїлем.

26 A nd David son of Jesse hath reigned over all Israel,

І Давид, син Єссеїв, царював над усім Ізраїлем.

27 a nd the days that he hath reigned over Israel forty years; in Hebron he reigned seven years, and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty and three;

А дні, що він царював над Ізраїлем, були сорок літ: у Хевроні царював він сім років, а в Єрусалимі царював тридцять і три.

28 a nd he dieth in a good old age, satisfied with days, riches, and honour, and reign doth Solomon his son in his stead.

І помер він у добрій сивині, ситий днями, багатством та славою, а замість нього зацарював син його Соломон.

29 A nd the matters of David the king, the first and the last, lo, they are written beside the matters of Samuel the seer, and beside the matters of Nathan the prophet, and beside the matters of Gad the seer,

А діла царя Давида, перші й останні, ось вони описані в історії провидця Самуїла, і в історії пророка Натана, і в історії прозорливця Ґада,

30 w ith all his reign, and his might, and the times that went over him, and over Israel, and over all kingdoms of the lands.

разом з усім царством його, і лицарськістю його та часами, що перейшли над ним і над Ізраїлем, та над усіма царствами тих країв.
