1 A nd Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

І Господь промовляв до Мойсея, говорячи:

2 ` Speak unto Aaron, and thou hast said unto him, In thy causing the lights to go up, over-against the face of the candlestick do the seven lights give light.'

Промовляй до Аарона та й скажи йому: Коли ти світитимеш лямпадки, то з переду свічника будуть світити сім лямпадок.

3 A nd Aaron doth so; over-against the face of the candlestick he hath caused its lights to go up, as Jehovah hath commanded Moses.

І Аарон зробив так, з переду свічника засвітив його лямпадки, як Господь наказав був Мойсеєві.

4 A nd this the work of the candlestick: beaten work of gold; unto its thigh, unto its flower it beaten work; as the appearance which Jehovah shewed Moses, so he hath made the candlestick.

А оце робота свічника: він куття золоте аж до підстави його, аж до квіток його куття він. За взірцем, що Господь показав був Мойсеєві, так він зробив свічника.

5 A nd Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

І Господь промовляв до Мойсея, говорячи:

6 ` Take the Levites from the midst of the sons of Israel, and thou hast cleansed them.

Візьми Левитів з-посеред Ізраїлевих синів, та й очисть їх.

7 ` And thus thou dost to them to cleanse them: sprinkle upon them waters of atonement, and they have caused a razor to pass over all their flesh, and have washed their garments, and cleansed themselves,

І так зробиш їм, щоб очистити їх: покропи на них водою жертви за гріх, і нехай обголять бритвою все тіло своє, і нехай виперуть одежу свою, і стануть чисті.

8 a nd have taken a bullock, a son of the herd, and its present, flour mixed with oil, -- and a second bullock a son of the herd thou dost take for a sin-offering,

І вони візьмуть теля, а його хлібна жертва пшенична мука, мішана в оливі, і друге теля візьмеш на жертву за гріх.

9 a nd thou hast brought near the Levites before the tent of meeting, and thou hast assembled the whole company of the sons of Israel,

І приведеш Левитів до скинії заповіту, і збереш усю громаду Ізраїлевих синів.

10 a nd thou hast brought near the Levites before Jehovah, and the sons of Israel have laid their hands on the Levites,

І приведеш Левитів перед Господнє лице, а Ізраїлеві сини покладуть свої руки на Левитів.

11 a nd Aaron hath waved the Levites -- a wave-offering before Jehovah, from the sons of Israel, and they have been -- for doing the service of Jehovah.

І буде Аарон посвячувати Левитів, як посвячення перед Господнім лицем від Ізраїлевих синів, і будуть вони на роботу Господньої служби.

12 ` And the Levites lay their hands on the head of the bullocks, and make thou the one a sin-offering, and the one a burnt-offering to Jehovah, to atone for the Levites,

А Левити покладуть свої руки на голову телят, і зроби одного жертвою за гріх, а одного цілопаленням для Господа, щоб очистити Левитів.

13 a nd thou hast caused the Levites to stand before Aaron, and before his sons, and hast waved them -- a wave-offering to Jehovah;

І поставиш Левитів перед Аароном та перед синами його, і будеш посвячувати їх, як посвячення для Господа.

14 a nd thou hast separated the Levites from the midst of the sons of Israel, and the Levites have become Mine;

І відділиш Левитів з-поміж Ізраїлевих синів, і будуть Левити Мої.

15 a nd afterwards do the Levites come in to serve the tent of meeting, and thou hast cleansed them, and hast waved them -- a wave-offering.

А по цьому Левити ввійдуть, щоб служити в скинії заповіту, і ти їх очистиш, і віддаси їх, як жертву посвячення,

16 ` For they are certainly given to Me out of the midst of the sons of Israel, instead of him who openeth any womb -- the first-born of all -- from the sons of Israel I have taken them to Myself;

бо вони дані, Мені вони дані з-поміж Ізраїлевих синів; замість перворідного кожного з Ізраїлевих синів, що розкриває кожну утробу, узяв Я їх Собі,

17 f or Mine every first-born among the sons of Israel, among man and among beast; in the day of my smiting every first-born in the land of Egypt I sanctified them for Myself;

бо Мій кожен перворідний серед Ізраїлевих синів, серед людини й серед худоби; того дня, коли Я побивав кожного перворідного в єгипетськім краї, Я посвятив їх Собі.

18 a nd I take the Levites instead of every first-born among the sons of Israel:

І взяв Я Левитів замість кожного перворідного серед Ізраїлевих синів.

19 ` And I give the Levites gifts to Aaron and to his sons, from the midst of the sons of Israel, to do the service of the sons of Israel in the tent of meeting, and to make atonement for the sons of Israel, and there is no plague among the sons of Israel in the sons of Israel's drawing nigh unto the sanctuary.'

І дав Я Левитів, як дар Ааронові та синам його з-поміж Ізраїлевих синів, щоб вони чинили службу Ізраїлевих синів в скинії заповіту, щоб очищали Ізраїлевих синів, щоб не було поразки серед Ізраїлевих синів, щоб Ізраїлеві сини підходили до святині.

20 A nd Moses doth -- Aaron also, and all the company of the sons of Israel -- to the Levites according to all that Jehovah hath commanded Moses concerning the Levites; so have the sons of Israel done to them.

І зробив Мойсей й Аарон та вся громада Ізраїлевих синів для Левитів усе, як Господь наказав був Мойсеєві про Левитів, так зробили їм Ізраїлеві сини.

21 A nd the Levites cleanse themselves, and wash their garments, and Aaron waveth them a wave-offering before Jehovah, and Aaron maketh atonement for them to cleanse them,

І очистилися Левити, і випрали одяг свій, а Аарон посвятив їх перед Господнім лицем, і очистив їх Аарон, щоб стали чистими.

22 a nd afterwards have the Levites gone in to do their service in the tent of meeting, before Aaron and before his sons; as Jehovah hath commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so they have done to them.

А по тому ввійшли Левити, щоб виконувати свою службу в скинії заповіту перед Аароном та перед синами його. Як Господь наказав був Мойсеєві про Левитів, так їм зробили вони.

23 A nd Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

І Господь промовляв до Мойсея, говорячи:

24 ` This that which the Levites': from a son of five and twenty years and upward he doth go in to serve the host in the service of the tent of meeting,

Оце щодо Левитів: від віку двадцяти й п'яти літ і вище ввійдуть вони до праці на службу скинії заповіту.

25 a nd from a son of fifty years he doth return from the host of the service, and doth not serve any more,

А від віку п'ятидесяти літ відійдуть від служби, і не будуть уже служити.

26 a nd he hath ministered with his brethren in the tent of meeting, to keep the charge, and doth not do service; thus thou dost to the Levites concerning their charge.'

І будуть вони обслуговувати братів своїх у скинії заповіту, щоб виконувати сторожу, а служби не будуть робити. Так зробиш Левитам у їхній службі.
