1 T hus said Jehovah, To His anointed, to Cyrus, Whose right hand I have laid hold on, To subdue nations before him, Yea, loins of kings I loose, To open before him two-leaved doors, Yea, gates are not shut:

Так говорить Господь до Свого помазанця Кіра: Я міцно тримаю тебе за правицю, щоб перед обличчям твоїм повалити народи, і з стегон царів розв'яжу пояси, щоб відчинити двері перед тобою, а брами не будуть замикані.

2 ` I go before thee, and crooked places make straight, Two-leaved doors of brass I shiver, And bars of iron I cut asunder,

Я перед тобою піду й повирівнюю висунене, двері мідні зламаю і порозбиваю залізні засуви.

3 A nd have given to thee treasures of darkness, Even treasures of secret places, So that thou knowest that I, Jehovah, Who am calling on thy name -- the God of Israel.

І дам тобі скарби, що в темряві, та багатства заховані, щоб пізнав ти, що Я то Господь, Який кличе тебе за йменням твоїм, Бог Ізраїлів,

4 F or the sake of my servant Jacob, And of Israel My chosen, I call also thee by thy name, I surname thee, And thou hast not known Me.

ради раба Мого Якова й ради вибранця Мого Ізраїля, і кличу тебе твоїм іменням, тебе називаю, хоч ти не знаєш Мене.

5 I Jehovah, and there is none else, Except Me there is no God, I gird thee, and thou hast not known Me.

Я Господь, і нема вже нікого, нема іншого Бога, крім Мене. Я тебе підперізую, хоч ти не знаєш Мене,

6 S o that they know from the rising of the sun, And from the west, that there is none besides Me, I Jehovah, and there is none else,

щоб дізналися зо сходу сонця й з заходу, що крім Мене немає нічого; Я Господь, і нема вже нікого,

7 F orming light, and preparing darkness, Making peace, and preparing evil, I Jehovah, doing all these things.'

Я, що світло формую та темність творю, чиню мир і недолю творю, Я Господь, Який робить це все!

8 D rop, ye heavens, from above, And clouds do cause righteousness to flow, Earth openeth, and they are fruitful, Salvation and righteousness spring up together, I, Jehovah, have prepared it.

Спустіть росу згори, небеса, а із хмар хай спливе справедливість! Хай земля відкривається, і хай породить спасіння та правду, хай разом ростуть! Я, Господь, це вчинив!

9 W o him who is striving with his Former, (A potsherd with potsherds of the ground!) Doth clay say to its Framer, `What dost thou?' And thy work, `He hath no hands?'

Горе тому, хто з Творцем своїм свариться, черепок із земних черепків! Чи глина повість ганчареві своєму: Що робиш? а діло його: Ти без рук!

10 W o him who is saying to a father, `What dost thou beget?' Or to a wife, `What dost thou bring forth?

Горе тому, хто патякає батькові: Пощо ти плодиш? а жінці: Пощо ти родиш?

11 T hus said Jehovah, The Holy One of Israel, and his Former: Ask Me of the things coming concerning My sons, Yea, concerning the work of My hands, ye command Me.'

Так говорить Господь, Святий Ізраїлів, і Той, Хто його вформував: Питайте Мене про майбутнє, а долю синів Моїх й чин Моїх рук позоставте Мені!

12 I made earth, and man on it prepared, I -- My hands stretched out the heavens, And all their host I have commanded.

Я землю вчинив і створив людину на ній, небеса Я руками Своїми простяг і про їхні зорі звелів.

13 I have stirred him up in righteousness, And all his ways I make straight, He doth build My city, and My captivity doth send out, Not for price, nor for bribe, said Jehovah of Hosts.

Я збудив його в правді, і зрівняю йому всі дороги. Він місто Моє побудує і відпустить вигнанців Моїх не за викуп і не за дарунка, говорить Господь Саваот.

14 T hus said Jehovah, `The labour of Egypt, And the merchandise of Cush, And of the Sebaim -- men of measure, Unto thee pass over, and thine they are, After thee they go, in fetters they pass over, And unto thee they bow themselves, Unto thee they pray: Only in thee God, And there is none else, no God.

Так говорить Господь: Праця Єгипту й торгівля Етіопії та високі севаїтяни перейдуть до тебе та будуть твої. Підуть вони за тобою, у кайданах перейдуть, і будуть вклонятись тобі та благати тебе: Тільки в тебе є Бог, і нема більш, нема іншого Бога!

15 S urely Thou a God hiding Thyself, God of Israel -- Saviour!

Справді Ти Бог таємничий, Бог Ізраїлів, Спаситель!

16 T hey have been ashamed, And they have even blushed -- all of them, Together gone in confusion have those carving images.

Всі вони засоромляться й зніяковіють, майстрі ідолів підуть у соромі разом,

17 I srael hath been saved in Jehovah, A salvation age-during! Ye are not ashamed nor confounded Unto the ages of eternity!

Ізраїль же буде спасений від Господа вічним спасінням: не будете ви засоромлені ані знеславлені аж на вічні віки!

18 F or thus said Jehovah, Creator of heaven, He is God, Former of earth, and its Maker, He established it -- not empty He prepared it, For inhabiting He formed it: `I Jehovah, and there is none else.

Бо так промовляє Господь, Творець неба. Він той Бог, що землю вформував та її вчинив, і міцно поставив її; не як порожнечу її створив, на проживання на ній Він її вформував. Я Господь, і нема більше іншого Бога!

19 N ot in secret have I spoken, in a dark place of the earth, I have not said to the seed of Jacob, In vain seek ye Me, I Jehovah, speaking righteousness, Declaring uprightness.

Я не говорив в укритті, на темному місці землі. Я не говорив до насіння Якова: Шукаєте дармо Мене! Я Господь, говорю справедливість, звіщаю правдиве!

20 B e gathered, and come in, Come nigh together, ye escaped of the nations, They have not known, Who are lifting up the wood of their graven image, And praying unto a god saveth not.

Зберіться й прийдіть, наблизьтеся разом, урятовані всі із поганів! Не знає нічого, хто дерево носить, боввана свого, та що молиться богові, який не поможе.

21 D eclare ye, and bring near, Yea, they take counsel together, Who hath proclaimed this from of old? From that time hath declared it? Is it not I -- Jehovah? And there is no other god besides Me, A God righteous and saving, there is none save Me.

Розкажіть та наблизьте, і хай разом нарадяться: Хто розповів це віддавна, із давніх часів це звістив? Чи ж не Я, ваш Господь? Бож немає вже Бога, крім Мене, окрім Мене нема Бога праведного та Спасителя!

22 T urn to Me, and be saved, all ends of the earth, For I God, and there is none else.

Зверніться до Мене й спасетесь, всі кінці землі, бо Я Бог, і нема більше іншого Бога!

23 B y Myself I have sworn, Gone out from my mouth in righteousness hath a word, And it turneth not back, That to Me, bow doth every knee, every tongue swear.

Я Собою Самим присягав, справедливість із уст Моїх вийшла, те слово, яке не повернеться: усяке коліно вклонятися буде Мені, усякий язик присягне

24 O nly in Jehovah, said hath one, Have I righteousness and strength, Unto Him he cometh in, And ashamed are all those displeased with Him.

й Мені скаже: Тільки в Господі правда та сила! Прийдуть до Нього та засоромляться всі, що на Нього запалюються.

25 I n Jehovah are all the seed of Israel justified, And they boast themselves.'

Через Господа усправедливляться, і буде прославлене всяке насіння Ізраїля!
