1 ` And we turn, and go up the way to Bashan, and Og king of Bashan cometh out to meet us, he and all his people, to battle, Edrei.

І обернулися ми, та й пішли дорогою до Башану. І вийшов навперейми нас Оґ, цар башанський, він та ввесь його народ, на війну до Едреї.

2 ` And Jehovah saith unto me, Fear him not, for into thy hand I have given him, and all his people, and his land, and thou hast done to him as thou hast done to Sihon king of the Amorite who is dwelling in Heshbon.

І сказав Господь до мене: Не бійся його, бо в твою руку Я дав його, і ввесь народ його та край його, і зробиш йому, як зробив ти Сигонові, цареві амореян, що сидів у Хешбоні.

3 ` And Jehovah our God giveth into our hands also Og king of Bashan, and all his people, and we smite him till there hath not been left to him a remnant;

І дав Господь, Бог наш, у нашу руку також Оґа, царя башанського, та ввесь його народ, і побили ми його, так що нікого не позосталося в нього.

4 a nd we capture all his cities at that time, there hath not been a city which we have not taken from them, sixty cities, all the region of Argob, the kingdom of Og in Bashan.

І здобули ми всі міста його, і того часу не було міста, що не взяли б ми від них, шістдесят міст, усю арґовську околицю, царство Оґа в Башані.

5 A ll these cities fenced with high walls, two-leaved doors and bar, apart from cities of villages very many;

Усі ці міста укріплені, мур високий, ворота й засув, окрім дуже багатьох відкритих міст.

6 a nd we devote them, as we have done to Sihon king of Heshbon, devoting every city, men, the women, and the infants;

І вчинили ми їх закляттям, як зробили були Сигонові, цареві хешбонському, учинили закляттям усе місто, чоловіків, жінок та дітей.

7 a nd all the cattle, and the spoil of the cities, we have spoiled for ourselves.

А всю худобу й захоплене з міст забрали ми собі на здобич.

8 ` And we take, at that time, the land out of the hand of the two kings of the Amorite, which is beyond the Jordan, from the brook Arnon unto mount Hermon;

І взяли ми того часу той край з руки обох царів амореянина, що по другому боці Йордану, від Арнонського потоку аж до гори Гермон,

9 ( Sidonians call Hermon, Sirion; and the Amorites call it Senir,)

сидоняни кличуть на Гермон Сірйон, а амореяни кличуть на нього Сенір,

10 a ll the cities of the plain, and all Gilead, and all Bashan, unto Salchah and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan,

усі міста на рівнині, і ввесь Ґілеад, і ввесь Башан аж до Салхи й Едреї, міст царства Оґа в Башані.

11 f or only Og king of Bashan had been left of the remnant of the Rephaim; lo, his bedstead a bedstead of iron; is it not in Rabbath of the sons of Ammon? nine cubits its length, and four cubits its breadth, by the cubit of a man.

Бо тільки Оґ, цар башанський, позостав із решти рефаїв. Оце його ложе, ложе залізне; чи ж не воно в Раббі Аммонових синів, дев'ять ліктів довжина його, і чотири лікті ширина його, на міру ліктем чоловіка.

12 ` And this land we have possessed, at that time; from Aroer, which by the brook Arnon, and the half of mount Gilead, and its cities, I have given to the Reubenite, and to the Gadite;

А Край той того часу посіли ми. Від Ароеру, що над Арнонським потоком, і половину гори Ґілеад, і міста його я дав Рувимовим та Ґадовим.

13 a nd the rest of Gilead and all Bashan, the kingdom of Og, I have given to the half tribe of Manasseh; all the region of Argob, to all that Bashan, called the land of Rephaim.

А решту Ґілеаду та ввесь Башан, царство Оґа, віддав я половині племени Манасіїного, усю околицю арґовську, на ввесь той Башан кличеться: Край рефаїв.

14 ` Jair son of Manasseh hath taken all the region of Argob, unto the border of Geshuri, and Maachathi, and calleth them by his own name, Bashan-Havoth-Jair, unto this day.

Яір, син Манасіїн, узяв всю Арґову околицю аж до границі ґешурів та маахатів, і він назвав їх своїм іменем: Башан, села Яіра, і так їх кличуть аж до цього дня.

15 A nd to Machir I have given Gilead.

А Махірові дав я Ґілеад.

16 ` And to the Reubenite and to the Gadite I have given from Gilead even unto the brook Arnon, the middle of the valley and the border, even unto Jabbok the brook, the border of the sons of Ammon,

А Рувимовим та Ґадовим дав я від Ґілеаду й аж до Арнонського потоку, середину потоку та границю, і аж до потоку Яббоку, границі Аммонових синів,

17 a nd the plain, and the Jordan, and the border, from Chinnereth even unto the sea of the plain, the salt sea, under the springs of Pisgah, at the -rising.

і степ, і Йордан, і границю його від Кіннерету аж до моря степу, моря Солоного, у узбіччя Пісґі на схід.

18 ` And I command you, at that time, saying, Jehovah your God hath given to you this land to possess it; armed ye pass over before your brethren the sons of Israel, all the sons of might.

І часу того наказав я вам, говорячи: Господь, Бог ваш, дав вам цей Край, щоб ви посіли його; узброєні перейдете перед вашими братами, Ізраїлевими синами, усі військові.

19 O nly, your wives, and your infants, and your cattle -- I have known that ye have much cattle -- do dwell in your cities which I have given to you,

Тільки ваші жінки, і ваші діти та ваша худоба, я знаю, що худоба ваша велика! будуть сидіти по ваших містах, що я дав вам,

20 t ill that Jehovah give rest to your brethren like yourselves, and they also have possessed the land which Jehovah your God is giving to them beyond the Jordan, then ye have turned back each to his possession, which I have given to you.

аж Господь дасть спочинок братам вашим, як вам, і посядуть також вони той Край, що Господь, Бог ваш, дає вам по той бік Йордану, і вернетесь кожен до спадку свого, що я дав вам.

21 ` And Jehoshua I have commanded at that time, saying, Thine eyes are seeing all that which Jehovah your God hath done to these two kings -- so doth Jehovah to all the kingdoms whither thou are passing over;

А Ісусові наказав я того часу, говорячи: Ото твої очі бачили все, що зробив був Господь, Бог ваш, обом тим царям, так зробить Господь усім царствам, куди ти переходиш.

22 f ear them not, for Jehovah your God, He is fighting for you.

Не будеш боятися їх, бо Господь, Бог ваш, Він Той, що воює для вас.

23 ` And I entreat for grace unto Jehovah, at that time, saying,

І благав я того часу Господа, говорячи:

24 L ord Jehovah, Thou -- Thou hast begun to shew Thy servant Thy greatness, and Thy strong hand; for who a God in the heavens or in earth who doth according to Thy works, and according to Thy might?

Владико Господи, Ти зачав показувати рабові Своєму велич Свою та міцну Свою руку! Бо хто інший Бог на небі та на землі, що зробить, як чини Твої, як великі діла Твої?

25 L et me pass over, I pray Thee, and see the good land which beyond the Jordan, this good hill-country, and Lebanon.

Нехай перейду ж я та побачу той хороший Край, що по тім боці Йордану, ту гарну гірську землю та Ливан!

26 ` And Jehovah sheweth himself wroth with me, for your sake, and hath not hearkened unto me, and Jehovah saith unto me, Enough for thee; add not to speak unto Me any more about this thing:

Та Господь розгнівався на мене через вас, і не послухав мене. І сказав Господь до мене: Досить тобі, не говори більше до Мене в цій справі!

27 g o up the top of Pisgah, and lift up thine eyes westward, and northward, and southward, and eastward, and see with thine eyes -- for thou dost not pass over this Jordan;

Вийди на верхів'я Пісґі, і зведи свої очі на захід, і на північ, і на південь, і на схід, і побач своїми очима, бо ти не перейдеш цього Йордану!

28 a nd charge Jehoshua, and strengthen him, and harden him, for he doth pass over before this people, and he doth cause them to inherit the land which thou seest.

І напоуми Ісуса, і зміцни його, й укріпи його, бо він перейде перед цим народом, і він зробить, що вони посядуть той Край, який ти побачиш.

29 ` And we dwell in a valley over-against Beth-Peor.

І осіли ми в долині навпроти Бет-Пеору.
