1 A nd unto Moses He said, `Come up unto Jehovah, thou, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel, and ye have bowed yourselves afar off;'

А до Мойсея сказав Він: Вийди до Господа ти й Аарон, Надав та Авігу, та сімдесят із Ізраїлевих старших, і вклоніться здалека.

2 a nd Moses hath drawn nigh by himself unto Jehovah; and they draw not nigh, and the people go not up with him.

А Мойсей нехай підійде до Господа сам, а вони не підійдуть. А народ з ним не вийде.

3 A nd Moses cometh in, and recounteth to the people all the words of Jehovah, and all the judgments, and all the people answer -- one voice, and say, `All the words which Jehovah hath spoken we do.'

І прибув Мойсей, та й оповів народові всі Господні слова та всі закони. І ввесь народ відповів одноголосно, та й сказали: Усе, про що говорив Господь, зробимо!

4 A nd Moses writeth all the words of Jehovah, and riseth early in the morning, and buildeth an altar under the hill, and twelve standing pillars for the twelve tribes of Israel;

І написав Мойсей всі Господні слова. І встав він рано вранці, та й збудував жертівника під горою, та дванадцять кам'яних стовпів для дванадцяти Ізраїлевих племен.

5 a nd he sendeth the youths of the sons of Israel, and they cause burnt-offerings to ascend, and sacrifice sacrifices of peace-offerings to Jehovah -- calves.

І послав він юнаків, синів Ізраїлевих, і вони зложили цілопалення, і принесли жертви, мирні жертви для Господа, бички.

6 A nd Moses taketh half of the blood, and putteth in basins, and half of the blood hath he sprinkled on the altar;

І взяв Мойсей половину крови, і вилив до мідниць, а другу половину тієї крови вилив на жертівника.

7 a nd he taketh the Book of the Covenant, and proclaimeth in the ears of the people, and they say, `All that which Jehovah hath spoken we do, and obey.'

І взяв він книгу заповіту, та й відчитав вголос народові. А вони сказали: Усе, що говорив Господь, зробимо й послухаємо!

8 A nd Moses taketh the blood, and sprinkleth on the people, and saith, `Lo, the blood of the covenant which Jehovah hath made with you, concerning all these things.'

І взяв Мойсей тієї крови, і покропив на народ, та й сказав: Оце кров заповіту, що Господь уклав із вами про всі оці речі!

9 A nd Moses goeth up, Aaron also, Nadab and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel,

І вийшов Мойсей й Аарон, Надав та Авігу, та сімдесят Ізраїлевих старших,

10 a nd they see the God of Israel, and under His feet as the white work of the sapphire, and as the substance of the heavens for purity;

і вони споглядали на Ізраїлевого Бога, а під ногами Його ніби зроблене з сапфірової плити, і немов саме небо, щодо ясности.

11 a nd unto those of the sons of Israel who are near He hath not put forth His hand, and they see God, and eat and drink.

І він не простяг Своєї руки на достойних із синів Ізраїля. І вони споглядали на Бога, і їли й пили.

12 A nd Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Come up unto Me to the mount, and be there, and I give to thee the tables of stone, and the law, and the command, which I have written to direct them.'

І промовив Господь до Мойсея: Вийди до Мене на гору, і будь там. І дам тобі кам'яні таблиці, і закона та заповідь, що Я написав для навчання їх.

13 A nd Moses riseth -- Joshua his minister also -- and Moses goeth up unto the mount of God;

І встав Мойсей та Ісус, слуга його, і вийшов Мойсей на Божу гору.

14 a nd unto the elders he hath said, `Abide ye for us in this, until that we turn back unto you, and lo, Aaron and Hur with you -- he who hath matters doth come nigh unto them.'

А до старших сказав він: Сидіть нам на цім місці, аж поки ми вернемось до вас! А ось Аарон та Хур будуть із вами. Хто матиме справу, нехай прийде до них.

15 A nd Moses goeth up unto the mount, and the cloud covereth the mount;

І вийшов Мойсей на гору, а хмара закрила гору.

16 a nd the honour of Jehovah doth tabernacle on mount Sinai, and the cloud covereth it six days, and He calleth unto Moses on the seventh day from the midst of the cloud.

І слава Господня спочивала на горі Сінай, а хмара закривала її шість день. А сьомого дня Він кликнув до Мойсея з середини хмари.

17 A nd the appearance of the honour of Jehovah as a consuming fire on the top of the mount, before the eyes of the sons of Israel;

А вид Господньої слави як огонь, що пожирає на верхів'ї гори, на очах Ізраїлевих синів.

18 a nd Moses goeth into the midst of the cloud, and goeth up unto the mount, and Moses is on the mount forty days and forty nights.

І ввійшов Мойсей у середину хмари, і вийшов на гору. І Мойсей пробував на горі сорок день та сорок ночей.
