3 P raise ye Jah! for Jehovah good, Sing praise to His name, for pleasant.

Хваліть Господа, бо добрий Господь, співайте іменню Його, бо приємне воно,

4 F or Jacob hath Jah chosen for Himself, Israel for His peculiar treasure.

бо вибрав Господь собі Якова, ізраїля на власність Свою!

5 F or I have known that great Jehovah, Yea, our Lord above all gods.

Знаю бо я, що Господь і Владика наш більший від богів усіх!

6 A ll that Jehovah pleased He hath done, In the heavens and in earth, In the seas and all deep places,

Все, що хоче Господь, те Він чинить на небі та на землі, на морях та по всяких глибинах!

7 C ausing vapours to ascend from the end of the earth, Lightnings for the rain He hath made, Bringing forth wind from His treasures.

Підіймає Він хмари від краю землі, блискавиці вчинив для дощу, випроваджує вітер з запасів Своїх.

8 W ho smote the first-born of Egypt, From man unto beast.

Він позабивав перворідних Єгипту, від людини аж до скотини.

9 H e sent tokens and wonders into thy midst, O Egypt, On Pharaoh and on all his servants.

Він послав між Єгипет ознаки та чуда, на фараона і на рабів всіх його.

10 W ho smote many nations, and slew strong kings,

Він уразив багато народів, і потужних царів повбивав:

11 E ven Sihon king of the Amorite, And Og king of Bashan, And all kingdoms of Canaan.

Сигона, царя амореян, і Оґа, Башану царя, та всіх ханаанських царів.

12 A nd He gave their land an inheritance, An inheritance to Israel His people,

і Він дав їхню землю спадщиною, на спадок ізраїлеві, Своєму народові.

13 O Jehovah, Thy name to the age, O Jehovah, Thy memorial to all generations.

Господи, Ймення Твоє віковічне, Господи, пам'ять Твоя з роду в рід!

14 F or Jehovah doth judge His people, And for His servants comforteth Himself.

Бо буде судити Господь Свій народ, та змилосердиться Він над Своїми рабами.

15 T he idols of the nations silver and gold, Work of the hands of man.

Божки людів то срібло та золото, діло рук людських:

16 A mouth they have, and they speak not, Eyes they have, and they see not,

вони мають уста й не говорять, очі мають вони і не бачать,

17 E ars they have, and they give not ear, Nose -- there is no breath in their mouth!

мають уші й не чують, в їхніх устах нема віддиху!

18 L ike them are their makers, Every one who is trusting in them.

Нехай стануть такі, як вони, ті, хто їх виробляє, усі, хто надію на них покладає!

19 O house of Israel, bless ye Jehovah, O house of Aaron, bless ye Jehovah,

Доме ізраїлів, благословіть Господа! Аароновий доме, благословіть Господа!

20 O house of Levi, bless ye Jehovah, Those fearing Jehovah, bless ye Jehovah.

Доме Левіїв, благословіть Господа! Хто боїться Господа, благословіть Господа!

21 B lessed Jehovah from Zion, Inhabiting Jerusalem -- praise ye Jah!

Благословенний Господь від Сіону, що мешкає в Єрусалимі! Алілуя!
