1 A son of twelve years Manasseh in his reigning, and fifty and five years he hath reigned in Jerusalem, and the name of his mother Hephzi-Bah;

Манасія був віку дванадцяти літ, коли він зацарював, і царював в Єрусалимі п'ятдесят і п'ять літ. А ім'я його матері Хевці-Ваг.

2 a nd he doth the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah, according to the abominations of the nations that Jehovah dispossessed from the presence of the sons of Israel,

І робив він зло в Господніх очах, за гидотою тих народів, яких Господь повиганяв з-перед обличчя Ізраїлевих синів.

3 a nd he turneth and buildeth the high places that Hezekiah his father destroyed, and raiseth altars for Baal, and maketh a shrine, as did Ahab king of Israel, and boweth himself to all the host of the heavens, and serveth them.

І він знову побудував пагірки, що їх винищив був його батько Єзекія, і понаставляв жертівників Ваалові, і зробив Астарту, як зробив був Ахав, Ізраїлів цар, і вклонявся всім небесним світилам та служив їм.

4 A nd he hath built altars in the house of Jehovah, of which Jehovah said, `In Jerusalem I put My name.'

І побудував він жертівники в Господньому домі, про якого сказав був Господь: В Єрусалимі покладу Я Ім'я Своє!

5 A nd he buildeth altars to all the host of the heavens in the two courts of the house of Jehovah;

І побудував він жертівники для всіх небесних світил на обох подвір'ях Господнього дому.

6 a nd he hath caused his son to pass through fire, and observed clouds, and used enchantment, and dealt with a familiar spirit and wizards; he hath multiplied to do the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah -- to provoke to anger.

І він перепровадив свого сина через огонь, і гадав, і ворожив, і настановив викликувачів духів померлих та духів віщих, і багато робив зла в очах Господа, щоб гнівити Його.

7 A nd he setteth the graven image of the shrine that he made in the house of which Jehovah said unto David and unto Solomon his son, `In this house, and in Jerusalem, that I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, I put My name -- to the age;

І поставив він боввана Астарти, якого зробив, у домі, про якого Господь сказав був до Давида та до сина його Соломона: У цьому домі та в Єрусалимі, що його Я вибрав зо всіх Ізраїлевих племен, покладу Я Ім'я Своє навіки!

8 a nd I do not add to cause the foot of Israel to move from the ground that I gave to their fathers, only, if they observe to do according to all that I commanded them, and to all the law that My servant Moses commanded them.'

І більше не мандруватиме Ізраїлева нога з тієї землі, яку Я дав їхнім батькам, якщо тільки вони будуть пильнувати робити все так, як наказав Я їм, та ввесь Закон, що наказав їм Мій раб Мойсей.

9 A nd they have not hearkened, and Manasseh causeth them to err, to do the evil thing above the nations that Jehovah destroyed from the presence of the sons of Israel.

Та не послухалися вони. І Манасія звів їх до того, щоб робити гірше від тих народів, яких Господь вигубив з-перед обличчя Ізраїлевих синів.

10 A nd Jehovah speaketh by the hand of his servants the prophets, saying,

І говорив Господь через Своїх рабів пророків, кажучи:

11 ` Because that Manasseh king of Judah hath done these abominations -- he hath done evil above all that the Amorites have done who before him, and causeth also Judah to sin by his idols;

За те, що Манасія, цар Юдин, зробив ці гидоти, учинив гірше від усього, що робили були амореяни, що були перед ним, і ввів у гріх також Юду божками своїми,

12 t herefore thus said Jehovah, God of Israel, Lo, I am bringing in evil on Jerusalem and Judah, that whoever heareth of it, tingle do his two ears.

тому так сказав Господь, Бог Ізраїлів: Ось Я наводжу таке зло на Єрусалим та на Юду, що в кожного, хто почує про це, задзвенить в обох вухах!...

13 A nd I have stretched out over Jerusalem the line of Samaria, and the plummet of the house of Ahab, and wiped Jerusalem as one wipeth the dish -- he hath wiped, and hath turned on its face.

І протягну Я на Єрусалим мірку Самарії, та вагу Ахавого дому, і витру Єрусалим, як витирають миску: витер і перевернув її догори дном!

14 ` And I have left the remnant of Mine inheritance, and given them into the hand of their enemies, and they have been for a prey and for a spoil to all their enemies,

І Я покину останок наділу Мого, і дам їх у руку їхнім ворогам, і вони будуть на грабіж та на здобич для всіх їхніх ворогів,

15 b ecause that they have done the evil thing in Mine eyes, and are provoking Me to anger from the day that their fathers came out of Egypt, even unto this day.'

тому, що вони робили зло в Моїх очах, і все гнівили Мене від дня, коли вийшли їхні батьки з Єгипту, й аж до дня цього...

16 A nd also, innocent blood hath Manasseh shed very much, till that he hath filled Jerusalem -- mouth to mouth; apart from his sin that he hath caused Judah to sin, to do the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah.

А також Манасія пролив дуже багато невинної крови, аж наповнив нею Єрусалим від входу до входу, окрім свого гріха, що ввів у гріх Юду, щоб чинити зле в Господніх очах.

17 A nd the rest of the matters of Manasseh, and all that he did, and his sin that he sinned, are they not written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Judah?

А решта діл Манасії, та все, що він зробив, і гріх його, яким він грішив, ото вони написані в Книзі Хроніки Юдиних царів.

18 A nd Manasseh lieth with his fathers, and is buried in the garden of his house, in the garden of Uzza, and reign doth Amon his son in his stead.

І спочив Манасія з батьками своїми, і був похований в садку свого дому, в Уззиному садку, а замість нього зацарював син його Амон.

19 A son of twenty and two years Amon in his reigning, and two years he hath reigned in Jerusalem, and the name of his mother Meshullemeth daughter of Haruz of Jotbah,

Амон був віку двадцяти й двох років, коли він зацарював, і царював він в Єрусалимі два роки. А ім'я його матері Мешуллемет, дочка Харуца з Йотви.

20 a nd he doth the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah, as did Manasseh his father,

І робив він зло в Господніх очах, як робив його батько Манасія.

21 a nd walketh in all the way that his father walked in, and serveth the idols that his father served, and boweth himself to them,

І ходив він усією тією дорогою, якою ходив його батько, і служив тим бовванам, яким служив батько його, і вклонявся їм.

22 a nd forsaketh Jehovah, God of his fathers, and hath not walked in the way of Jehovah.

І покинув він Господа, Бога батьків своїх, і не ходив Господньою дорогою.

23 A nd the servants of Amon conspire against him, and put the king to death in his own house,

І вчинили змову слуги Амона на нього, і вбили царя в його домі.

24 a nd the people of the land smite all those conspiring against king Amon, and the people of the land cause Josiah his son to reign in his stead.

Та народ Краю перебив усіх змовників на царя Амона. І народ настановив царем Краю замість нього сина його Йосію.

25 A nd the rest of the matters of Amon that he did, are they not written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Judah?

А решта діл Амона, усе, що робив він, ото вони написані в Книзі Хроніки Юдиних царів.

26 a nd burieth him in his burying-place in the garden of Uzza, and reign doth Josiah his son in his stead.

І поховали його в його гробі в Уззиному садку, а замість нього зацарював син його Йосія.
