1 T hen singeth Moses and the sons of Israel this song to Jehovah, and they speak, saying: -- `I sing to Jehovah, For triumphing He hath triumphed; The horse and its rider He hath thrown into the sea.

Тоді заспівав Мойсей та Ізраїлеві сини оцю пісню Господеві, та й проказали, говорячи: Я буду співать Господеві, бо дійсно звеличився Він, коня й верхівця його кинув до моря!

2 M y strength and song is Jah, And He is become my salvation: This my God, and I glorify Him; God of my father, and I exalt Him.

Моя сила та пісня Господь, і Він став на спасіння мені! Це мій Бог, і прославлю Його, Він Бог батька мого, і звеличу Його!

3 J ehovah a man of battle; Jehovah His name.

Господь Муж війни, Єгова Йому Ймення!

4 C hariots of Pharaoh and his force He hath cast into the sea; And the choice of his captains Have sunk in the Red Sea!

Колесниці фараонові й військо його вкинув у море, а вибір його трійкових у Червоному морі затоплений.

5 T he depths do cover them; They went down into the depths as a stone.

Безодні їх позакривали, зійшли до глибин, як той камінь!

6 T hy right hand, O Jehovah, Is become honourable in power; Thy right hand, O Jehovah, Doth crush an enemy.

Права рука Твоя, Господи, вславлена силою, правиця Твоя трощить ворога, Господи!

7 A nd in the abundance of Thine excellency Thou throwest down Thy withstanders, Thou sendest forth Thy wrath -- It consumeth them as stubble.

А Своєю безмірною величчю Ти розбиваєш Своїх заколотників, посилаєш палючий Свій гнів, він їх поїдає, немов ту солому!

8 A nd by the spirit of Thine anger Have waters been heaped together; Stood as a heap have flowings; Congealed have been depths In the heart of a sea.

А подувом ніздер Твоїх вода скупчилась, вир спинився, немов та стіна, потоки загусли були в серці моря!

9 T he enemy said, I pursue, I overtake; I apportion spoil; Filled is my soul with them; I draw out my sword; My hand destroyeth them: --

Нахвалявся був ворог: Поженусь дожену! Попаюю здобичу, душа моя сповниться ними! Меча свого вихоплю я, і понищить рука моя їх!

10 T hou hast blown with Thy wind The sea hath covered them; They sank as lead in mighty waters.

Та дмухнув Ти був духом Своїм і закрило їх море: вони потопились в бурхливій воді, немов оливо!

11 W ho like Thee among the gods, O Jehovah? Who like Thee -- honourable in holiness -- Fearful in praises -- doing wonders?

Хто подібний Тобі серед богів, о Господи? Хто подібний Тобі, Препрославлений святістю? Ти в славі грізний, Чудотворче!

12 T hou hast stretched out Thy right hand -- Earth swalloweth them!

Простягнув Ти правицю Свою і земля їх поглинула!

13 T hou hast led forth in Thy kindness The people whom Thou hast redeemed. Thou hast led on in Thy strength Unto Thy holy habitation.

Милосердям Своїм вів народ, якого Ти визволив, Своєю Ти силою ввів у мешкання Своєї святині!

14 P eoples have heard, they are troubled; Pain hath seized inhabitants of Philistia.

Почули народи і тремтіли, обгорнула тривога мешканців землі филистимської!

15 T hen have chiefs of Edom been troubled: Mighty ones of Moab -- Trembling doth seize them! Melted have all inhabitants of Canaan!

Старшини едомські тоді побентежились, моавських вельмож обгорнуло тремтіння, розпливлися усі ханаанці!

16 F all on them doth terror and dread; By the greatness of Thine arm They are still as a stone, Till Thy people pass over, O Jehovah; Till the people pass over Whom Thou hast purchased.

Напали на них страх та жах, через велич рамена Твойого замовкли, як камінь, аж поки перейде народ Твій, о Господи, аж поки перейде народ, що його Ти набув!

17 T hou dost bring them in, And dost plant them In a mountain of Thine inheritance, A fixed place for Thy dwelling Thou hast made, O Jehovah; A sanctuary, O Lord, Thy hands have established;

Ти їх уведеш, і їх посадиш на гору спадку Твого, на місці, яке вчинив, Господи, житлом Своїм, до Святині Господньої, що поставили руки Твої,

18 J ehovah reigneth -- to the age, and for ever!'

і Господь зацарює навіки віків!

19 F or the horse of Pharaoh hath gone in with his chariots and with his horsemen into the sea, and Jehovah turneth back on them the waters of the sea, and the sons of Israel have gone on dry land in the midst of the sea.

Бо коли ввійшов був до моря кінь фараона з колесницею його та з його комонниками, то Господь повернув на них води морські, а Ізраїлеві сини пішли суходолом у середині моря.

20 A nd Miriam the inspired one, sister of Aaron, taketh the timbrel in her hand, and all the women go out after her, with timbrels and with choruses;

І взяла бубна пророчиця Маріям, сестра Ааронова, а за нею повиходили всі жінки з бубнами та з танцями.

21 a nd Miriam answereth to them: -- `Sing ye to Jehovah, For Triumphing He hath triumphed; The horse and its rider He hath thrown into the sea!'

І відповіла їм Маріям: Співайте для Господа, бо дійсно звеличився Він, коня й верхівця його кинув до моря!

22 A nd Moses causeth Israel to journey from the Red Sea, and they go out unto the wilderness of Shur, and they go three days in the wilderness, and have not found water,

І повів Мойсей Ізраїля від Червоного моря, і вийшли вони до пустині Шур. І йшли вони три дні в пустині, і не знаходили води.

23 a nd they come in to Marah, and have not been able to drink the waters of Marah, for they bitter; therefore hath called its name Marah.

І прийшли вони до Мари, і не могли пити води з Мари, бо гірка вона. Тому названо ймення їй: Мара.

24 A nd the people murmur against Moses, saying, `What do we drink?'

І став народ ремствувати на Мойсея, говорячи: Що ми будемо пити?

25 a nd he crieth unto Jehovah, and Jehovah sheweth him a tree, and he casteth unto the waters, and the waters become sweet. There He hath made for them a statute, and an ordinance, and there He hath tried them,

І він кликав до Господа! І показав йому Господь дерево, і він кинув його до води, і стала вода та солодка! Там Він дав йому постанову та право, і там його випробував.

26 a nd He saith, `If thou dost really hearken to the voice of Jehovah thy God, and dost that which is right in His eyes, and hast hearkened to His commands, and kept all His statutes: none of the sickness which I laid on the Egyptians do I lay on thee, for I, Jehovah, am healing thee.

І сказав Він: Коли дійсно будеш ти слухати голосу Господа, Бога твого, і будеш робити слушне в очах Його, і будеш слухатися заповідей Його, і будеш виконувати всі постанови Його, то всю хворобу, що Я поклав був на Єгипет, не покладу на тебе, бо Я Господь, Лікар твій!

27 A nd they come to Elim, and there twelve fountains of water, and seventy palm trees; and they encamp there by the waters.

І прийшли вони до Єліму, а там дванадцять водних джерел та сімдесят пальм. І вони отаборилися там над водою.
