1 A nd Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Go in unto Pharaoh, and thou hast spoken unto him, Thus said Jehovah, God of the Hebrews, Send My people away, and they serve me,

І сказав Господь до Мойсея: Увійди до фараона, і говори до нього: Так сказав Господь, Бог євреїв: Відпусти Мій народ, і нехай вони служать Мені!

2 f or, if thou art refusing to send away, and art still keeping hold upon them,

Бо коли ти відмовишся відпустити, і будеш держати їх ще,

3 l o, the hand of Jehovah is on thy cattle which in the field, on horses, on asses, on camels, on herd, and on flock -- a pestilence very grievous.

то ось Господня рука буде на худобі твоїй, що на полі, на конях, на ослах, на верблюдах, на худобі великій і дрібній, моровиця дуже тяжка.

4 ` And Jehovah hath separated between the cattle of Israel and the cattle of Egypt, and there doth not die a thing of all the sons of Israel's;

І відділить Господь між худобою Ізраїля й між худобою Єгипту, і не загине нічого зо всього, що належить Ізраїлевим синам.

5 a nd Jehovah setteth an appointed time, saying, To-morrow doth Jehovah do this thing in the land.'

І призначив Господь усталений час, кажучи: Узавтра Господь зробить цю річ у цім краї.

6 A nd Jehovah doth this thing on the morrow, and all the cattle of Egypt die, and of the cattle of the sons of Israel not one hath died;

І зробив Господь ту річ назавтра, і вигинула вся єгипетська худоба, а з худоби Ізраїлевих синів не згинуло ані одне.

7 a nd Pharaoh sendeth, and lo, not even one of the cattle of Israel hath died, and the heart of Pharaoh is hard, and he hath not sent the people away.

І послав фараон довідатись, а ось не згинуло з худоби Ізраїлевої ані одне! І стало фараонове серце запеклим, і не відпустив він народу того!

8 A nd Jehovah saith unto Moses and unto Aaron, `Take to you the fulness of your hands soot of a furnace, and Moses hath sprinkled it towards the heavens, before the eyes of Pharaoh,

І сказав Господь до Мойсея й до Аарона: Візьміть собі повні ваші жмені сажі з печі, і нехай Мойсей кине її до неба на очах фараонових.

9 a nd it hath become small dust over all the land of Egypt, and it hath become on man and on cattle a boil breaking forth blains, in all the land of Egypt.'

І стане вона курявою над усією єгипетською землею, а на людині й скотині стане гнояками, що кинуться прищами в усьому єгипетському краї.

10 A nd they take the soot of the furnace, and stand before Pharaoh, and Moses sprinkleth it towards the heavens, and it is a boil blains, breaking forth, on man and on beast;

І набрали вони сажі з печі, та й стали перед фараоновим лицем. І кинув її Мойсей до неба, і стали прищуваті гнояки, що кинулися на людині й на скотині.

11 a nd the scribes have not been able to stand before Moses, because of the boil, for the boil hath been on the scribes, and on all the Egyptians.

А чарівники не могли стати перед Мойсеєм через гнояки, бо гнояк той був на чарівниках і на всіх єгиптянах.

12 A nd Jehovah strengtheneth the heart of Pharaoh, and he hath not hearkened unto them, as Jehovah hath spoken unto Moses.

І вчинив запеклим Господь фараонове серце, і він не послухався їх, як говорив був Господь до Мойсея.

13 A nd Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Rise early in the morning, and station thyself before Pharaoh, and thou hast said unto him, Thus said Jehovah, God of the Hebrews, Send My people away, and they serve Me,

І сказав Господь до Мойсея: Устань рано вранці, і стань перед лицем фараоновим та й скажи йому: Отак сказав Господь, Бог євреїв: Відпусти Мій народ, і нехай вони служать Мені!

14 f or, at this time I am sending all My plagues unto thy heart, and on thy servants, and on thy people, so that thou knowest that there is none like Me in all the earth,

Бо цим разом Я пошлю всі урази Мої на серце твоє, і на рабів твоїх, і на народ твій, щоб ти знав, що немає на всій землі Такого, як Я!

15 f or now I have put forth My hand, and I smite thee, and thy people, with pestilence, and thou art hidden from the earth.

Бо тепер, коли б Я простягнув Свою руку, то побив би тебе та народ твій мором, і ти був би вигублений із землі.

16 ` And yet for this I have caused thee to stand, so as to show thee My power, and for the sake of declaring My Name in all the earth;

Але Я для того залишив тебе, щоб показати тобі Мою силу, і щоб оповідали про Ймення Моє по всій землі.

17 s till thou art exalting thyself against My people -- so as not to send them away;

Ти ще опираєшся проти народу Мого, щоб їх не відпустити.

18 l o, I am raining about time to-morrow hail very grievous, such as hath not been in Egypt, even from the day of its being founded, even until now.

Ось Я взавтра, цього саме часу, зішлю дощем тяженний град, що такого, як він, не бувало в Єгипті від дня його заложення аж до сьогодні.

19 ` And, now, send, strengthen thy cattle and all that thou hast in the field; every man and beast which is found in the field, and is not gathered into the house -- come down on them hath the hail, and they have died.'

А тепер пошли, позаганяй худобу свою та все, що твоє в полі. Кожна людина й худоба, що буде застукана в полі, і не буде забрана додому, то зійде на них град, і вони повмирають!

20 H e who is fearing the word of Jehovah among the servants of Pharaoh hath caused his servants and his cattle to flee unto the houses;

Хто з фараонових рабів боявся Господнього слова, той зігнав своїх рабів та свою худобу до домів.

21 a nd he who hath not set his heart unto the word of Jehovah leaveth his servants and his cattle in the field.

А хто не звернув свого серця до слова Господнього, той позалишав рабів своїх та худобу свою на полі.

22 A nd Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Stretch forth thy hand towards the heavens, and there is hail in all the land of Egypt, on man, and on beast, and on every herb of the field in the land of Egypt.'

І сказав Господь до Мойсея: Простягни свою руку до неба, і нехай буде град у всьому єгипетському краї на людину, і на худобу, і на всю польову траву в єгипетській землі!

23 A nd Moses stretcheth out his rod towards the heavens, and Jehovah hath given voices and hail, and fire goeth towards the earth, and Jehovah raineth hail on the land of Egypt,

І простяг Мойсей палицю свою до неба, і Господь дав громи та град. І зійшов на землю огонь, і Господь дощив градом на єгипетську землю.

24 a nd there is hail, and fire catching itself in the midst of the hail, very grievous, such as hath not been in all the land of Egypt since it hath become a nation.

І був град, і огонь горів посеред тяженного граду, що не бувало такого, як він, у всім єгипетськім краї, відколи він став був народом.

25 A nd the hail smiteth in all the land of Egypt all that in the field, from man even unto beast, and every herb of the field hath the hail smitten, and every tree of the field it hath broken;

І повибивав той град у всім єгипетськім краї все, що на полі, від людини аж до худоби! І всю польову рослинність побив той град, а кожне польове дерево поламав!

26 o nly in the land of Goshen, where the sons of Israel, there hath been no hail.

Тільки в землі Ґошен, де жили Ізраїлеві сини, не було граду.

27 A nd Pharaoh sendeth, and calleth for Moses and for Aaron, and saith unto them, `I have sinned this time, Jehovah the Righteous, and I and my people the Wicked,

І послав фараон, і покликав Мойсея та Аарона, та й сказав до них: Згрішив я тим разом! Господь справедливий, а я та народ мій несправедливі!

28 m ake ye supplication unto Jehovah, and plead that there be no voices of God and hail, and I send you away, and ye add not to remain.'

Благайте Господа, і досить бути Божим громам та градові! А я відпущу вас, і ви більше не залишитеся...

29 A nd Moses saith unto him, `At my going out of the city, I spread my palms unto Jehovah -- the voices cease, and the hail is not any more, so that thou knowest that the earth Jehovah's;

І сказав до нього Мойсей: Як вийду я з міста, то простягну руки свої до Господа, громи перестануть, а граду вже не буде, щоб ти знав, що Господня ця земля!

30 b ut thou and thy servants -- I have known that ye are not yet afraid of the face of Jehovah God.'

А ти й раби твої, знаю я, що ви ще не боїтеся перед лицем Господа Бога!

31 A nd the flax and the barley have been smitten, for the barley budding, and the flax forming flowers,

А льон та ячмінь був побитий, бо ячмінь дозрівав, а льон цвів.

32 a nd the wheat and the rye have not been smitten, for they are late.

А пшениця та жито не були вибиті, бо пізні вони.

33 A nd Moses goeth out from Pharaoh, the city, and spreadeth his hands unto Jehovah, and the voices and the hail cease, and rain hath not been poured out to the earth;

І вийшов Мойсей від фараона з міста, і простяг руки свої до Господа, і перестали громи та град, а дощ не лив на землю.

34 a nd Pharaoh seeth that the rain hath ceased, and the hail and the voices, and he continueth to sin, and hardeneth his heart, he and his servants;

І побачив фараон, що перестав дощ, і град та громи, та й далі грішив. І чинив він запеклим своє серце, він та раби його.

35 a nd the heart of Pharaoh is strong, and he hath not sent the sons of Israel away, as Jehovah hath spoken by the hand of Moses.

І стало запеклим фараонове серце, і він не відпустив Ізраїлевих синів, як говорив був Господь через Мойсея.
