1 A nd Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Go in unto Pharaoh, and thou hast spoken unto him, Thus said Jehovah, God of the Hebrews, Send My people away, and they serve me,

Depois o Senhor disse a Moisés: Vai a Faraó e dize-lhe: Assim diz o Senhor, o Deus dos hebreus: Deixa ir o meu povo, para que me sirva.

2 f or, if thou art refusing to send away, and art still keeping hold upon them,

Porque, se recusares deixá-los ir, e ainda os retiveres,

3 l o, the hand of Jehovah is on thy cattle which in the field, on horses, on asses, on camels, on herd, and on flock -- a pestilence very grievous.

eis que a mão do Senhor será sobre teu gado, que está no campo: sobre os cavalos, sobre os jumentos, sobre os camelos, sobre os bois e sobre as ovelhas; haverá uma pestilência muito grave.

4 ` And Jehovah hath separated between the cattle of Israel and the cattle of Egypt, and there doth not die a thing of all the sons of Israel's;

Mas o Senhor fará distinção entre o gado de Israel e o gado do Egito; e não morrerá nada de tudo o que pertence aos filhos de Israel.

5 a nd Jehovah setteth an appointed time, saying, To-morrow doth Jehovah do this thing in the land.'

E o Senhor assinalou certo tempo, dizendo: Amanhã fará o Senhor isto na terra.

6 A nd Jehovah doth this thing on the morrow, and all the cattle of Egypt die, and of the cattle of the sons of Israel not one hath died;

Fez, pois, o Senhor isso no dia seguinte; e todo gado dos egípcios morreu; porém do gado dos filhos de Israel não morreu nenhum.

7 a nd Pharaoh sendeth, and lo, not even one of the cattle of Israel hath died, and the heart of Pharaoh is hard, and he hath not sent the people away.

E Faraó mandou ver, e eis que do gado dos israelitas não morrera sequer um. Mas o coração de Faraó se obstinou, e não deixou ir o povo.

8 A nd Jehovah saith unto Moses and unto Aaron, `Take to you the fulness of your hands soot of a furnace, and Moses hath sprinkled it towards the heavens, before the eyes of Pharaoh,

Então disse o Senhor a Moisés e a Arão: Tomai mancheias de cinza do forno, e Moisés a espalhe para o céu diante dos olhos de Faraó;

9 a nd it hath become small dust over all the land of Egypt, and it hath become on man and on cattle a boil breaking forth blains, in all the land of Egypt.'

e ela se tornará em pó fino sobre toda a terra do Egito, e haverá tumores que arrebentarão em úlceras nos homens e no gado, por toda a terra do Egito.

10 A nd they take the soot of the furnace, and stand before Pharaoh, and Moses sprinkleth it towards the heavens, and it is a boil blains, breaking forth, on man and on beast;

E eles tomaram cinza do forno, e apresentaram-se diante de Faraó; e Moisés a espalhou para o céu, e ela se tomou em tumores que arrebentavam em úlceras nos homens e no gado.

11 a nd the scribes have not been able to stand before Moses, because of the boil, for the boil hath been on the scribes, and on all the Egyptians.

Os magos não podiam manter-se diante de Moisés, por causa dos tumores; porque havia tumores nos magos, e em todos os egípcios.

12 A nd Jehovah strengtheneth the heart of Pharaoh, and he hath not hearkened unto them, as Jehovah hath spoken unto Moses.

Mas o Senhor endureceu o coração de Faraó, e este não os ouviu, como o Senhor tinha dito a Moisés.

13 A nd Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Rise early in the morning, and station thyself before Pharaoh, and thou hast said unto him, Thus said Jehovah, God of the Hebrews, Send My people away, and they serve Me,

Então disse o Senhor a Moisés: Levanta-te pela manhã cedo, põe-te diante de Faraó, e dize-lhe: Assim diz o Senhor, o Deus dos hebreus: Deixa ir o meu povo, para que me sirva;

14 f or, at this time I am sending all My plagues unto thy heart, and on thy servants, and on thy people, so that thou knowest that there is none like Me in all the earth,

porque desta vez enviarei todas as a minhas pragas sobre o teu coração, e sobre os teus servos, e sobre o teu povo, para que saibas que não há outro como eu em toda a terra.

15 f or now I have put forth My hand, and I smite thee, and thy people, with pestilence, and thou art hidden from the earth.

Agora, por pouco, teria eu estendido a mão e ferido a ti e ao teu povo com pestilência, e tu terias sido destruído da terra;

16 ` And yet for this I have caused thee to stand, so as to show thee My power, and for the sake of declaring My Name in all the earth;

mas, na verdade, para isso te hei mantido com vida, para te mostrar o meu poder, e para que o meu nome seja anunciado em toda a terra.

17 s till thou art exalting thyself against My people -- so as not to send them away;

Tu ainda te exaltas contra o meu povo, não o deixando ir?

18 l o, I am raining about time to-morrow hail very grievous, such as hath not been in Egypt, even from the day of its being founded, even until now.

Eis que amanhã, por este tempo, s farei chover saraiva tão grave qual nunca houve no Egito, desde o dia em que foi fundado até agora.

19 ` And, now, send, strengthen thy cattle and all that thou hast in the field; every man and beast which is found in the field, and is not gathered into the house -- come down on them hath the hail, and they have died.'

Agora, pois, manda recolher o teu gado e tudo o que tens no campo; porque sobre todo homem e animal que se acharem no campo, e não se recolherem ã casa, cairá a saraiva, e morrerão.

20 H e who is fearing the word of Jehovah among the servants of Pharaoh hath caused his servants and his cattle to flee unto the houses;

Quem dos servos de Faraó temia a o palavra do Senhor, fez Fugir os seus servos e o seu gado para as casas;

21 a nd he who hath not set his heart unto the word of Jehovah leaveth his servants and his cattle in the field.

mas aquele que não se importava com a palavra do Senhor, deixou os seus servos e o seu gado no campo.

22 A nd Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Stretch forth thy hand towards the heavens, and there is hail in all the land of Egypt, on man, and on beast, and on every herb of the field in the land of Egypt.'

Então disse o Senhor a Moisés: Estende a tua mão para o céu, para que caia saraiva em toda a terra do Egito, sobre os homens e sobre os animais, e sobre toda a erva do campo na terra do Egito.

23 A nd Moses stretcheth out his rod towards the heavens, and Jehovah hath given voices and hail, and fire goeth towards the earth, and Jehovah raineth hail on the land of Egypt,

E Moisés estendeu a sua vara para o céu, e o Senhor enviou trovões e saraiva, e fogo desceu ã terra; e o Senhor fez chover saraiva sobre a terra do Egito.

24 a nd there is hail, and fire catching itself in the midst of the hail, very grievous, such as hath not been in all the land of Egypt since it hath become a nation.

Havia, pois, saraiva misturada com fogo, saraiva tão grave qual nunca houvera em toda a terra do Egito, desde que veio a ser uma nação.

25 A nd the hail smiteth in all the land of Egypt all that in the field, from man even unto beast, and every herb of the field hath the hail smitten, and every tree of the field it hath broken;

E a saraiva feriu, em toda a terra do Egito, tudo quanto havia no campo, tanto homens como animais; feriu também toda erva do campo, e quebrou todas as árvores do campo.

26 o nly in the land of Goshen, where the sons of Israel, there hath been no hail.

Somente na terra de Gósem onde se achavam os filhos de Israel, não houve saraiva.

27 A nd Pharaoh sendeth, and calleth for Moses and for Aaron, and saith unto them, `I have sinned this time, Jehovah the Righteous, and I and my people the Wicked,

Então Faraó mandou chamar Moisés e e Arão, e disse-lhes: Esta vez pequei; o Senhor é justo, mas eu e o meu povo somos a ímpios.

28 m ake ye supplication unto Jehovah, and plead that there be no voices of God and hail, and I send you away, and ye add not to remain.'

Orai ao Senhor; pois já bastam estes trovões da parte de Deus e esta saraiva; eu vos deixarei ir, e não permanecereis mais, aqui.

29 A nd Moses saith unto him, `At my going out of the city, I spread my palms unto Jehovah -- the voices cease, and the hail is not any more, so that thou knowest that the earth Jehovah's;

Respondeu-lhe Moisés: Logo que eu tiver saído da cidade estenderei minhas mãos ao Senhor; os trovões cessarão, e não haverá, mais saraiva, para que saibas que a terra é do Senhor.

30 b ut thou and thy servants -- I have known that ye are not yet afraid of the face of Jehovah God.'

Todavia, quanto a ti e aos teus servos, eu sei que ainda não temereis diante do Senhor Deus.

31 A nd the flax and the barley have been smitten, for the barley budding, and the flax forming flowers,

Ora, o linho e a cevada foram danificados, porque a cevada já estava na espiga, e o linho em flor;

32 a nd the wheat and the rye have not been smitten, for they are late.

mas não foram danificados o trigo e a espelta, porque não estavam crescidos.

33 A nd Moses goeth out from Pharaoh, the city, and spreadeth his hands unto Jehovah, and the voices and the hail cease, and rain hath not been poured out to the earth;

Saiu, pois, Moisés da cidade, da presença de Faraó, e estendeu as mãos ao Senhor; e cessaram os trovões e a saraiva, e a chuva não caiu mais sobre a terra.

34 a nd Pharaoh seeth that the rain hath ceased, and the hail and the voices, and he continueth to sin, and hardeneth his heart, he and his servants;

Vendo Faraó que a chuva, a saraiva e os trovões tinham cessado, continuou a pecar, e endureceu o seu coração, ele e os seus servos.

35 a nd the heart of Pharaoh is strong, and he hath not sent the sons of Israel away, as Jehovah hath spoken by the hand of Moses.

Assim, o coração de Faraó se endureceu, e não deixou ir os filhos de Israel, como o Senhor tinha dito por Moisés.
