Por estes foram repartidas as ilhas das nações nas suas terras, cada qual segundo a sua língua, segundo as suas famílias, entre as suas nações.

6 A nd sons of Ham Cush, and Mitzraim, and Phut, and Canaan.

Os filhos de Cão: Cuche, Mizraim, Pute e Canaã.

7 A nd sons of Cush Seba, and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabtechah; and sons of Raamah Sheba and Dedan.

Os filhos de Cuche: Seba, Havilá, Sabtá, Raamá e Sabtecá; e os filhos de Raamá são Sebá e Dedã.

8 A nd Cush hath begotten Nimrod;

Cuche também gerou a Ninrode, o qual foi o primeiro a ser poderoso na terra.

Desta mesma terra saiu ele para a Assíria e edificou Nínive, Reobote-Ir, Calá,

12 a nd Resen, between Nineveh and Calah; it the great city.

13 A nd Mitzraim hath begotten the Ludim, and the Anamim, and the Lehabim, and the Naphtuhim,

Mizraim gerou a Ludim, Anamim, Leabim, Naftuim,

14 a nd the Pathrusim, and the Casluhim, (whence have come out Philistim,) and the Caphtorim.

15 A nd Canaan hath begotten Sidon his first-born, and Heth,

16 a nd the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite,

17 a nd the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,

18 a nd the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite; and afterwards have the families of the Canaanite been scattered.

19 A nd the border of the Canaanite is from Sidon, thy coming towards Gerar, unto Gaza; thy coming towards Sodom, and Gomorrah, and Admah, and Zeboim, unto Lasha.

Foi o termo dos cananeus desde Sidom, em direção a Gerar, até Gaza; e daí em direção a Sodoma, Gomorra, Admá e Zeboim, até Lasa.

20 T hese sons of Ham, by their families, by their tongues, in their lands, in their nations.

São esses os filhos de Cão segundo as suas famílias, segundo as suas línguas, em suas terras, em suas nações.

21 A s to Shem, father of all sons of Eber, brother of Japheth the elder, he hath also begotten:

A Sem, que foi o pai de todos os filhos de Eber e irmão mais velho de Jafé, a ele também nasceram filhos.

22 S ons of Shem Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram.

26 A nd Joktan hath begotten Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,

28 a nd Obal, and Abimael, and Sheba,
