1 A nd it cometh to pass, in the four hundred and eightieth year of the going out of the sons of Israel from the land of Egypt, in the fourth year -- in the month of Zif, it the second month -- of the reigning of Solomon over Israel, that he buildeth the house for Jehovah.

Sucedeu, pois, que no ano quatrocentos e oitenta depois de saírem os filhos de Israel da terra do Egito, no quarto ano do reinado de Salomão sobre Israel, no mês de zive, que é o segundo mês, começou-se a edificar a casa do Senhor.

2 A s to the house that king Solomon hath built for Jehovah, sixty cubits its length, and twenty its breadth, and thirty cubits its height.

Ora, a casa que e rei Salomão edificou ao Senhor era de sessenta côvados de comprimento, vinte côvados de largura, e trinta côvados de altura.

3 A s to the porch on the front of the temple of the house, twenty cubits its length on the front of the breadth of the house; ten by the cubit its breadth on the front of the house;

E o pórtico diante do templo da casa era de vinte côvados de comprimento, segundo a largura da casa, e de dez côvados de largura.

4 a nd he maketh for the house windows of narrow lights.

E fez para a casa janelas de gelósias fixas.

5 A nd he buildeth against the wall of the house a couch round about, the walls of the house round about, of the temple and of the oracle, and maketh sides round about.

Edificou andares em torno da casa, contra a parede, tanto do templo como do oráculo, fazendo assim câmaras laterais ao seu redor.

6 T he lowest couch, five by the cubit its breadth; and the middle, six by the cubit its breadth; and the third, seven by the cubit its breadth, for withdrawings he hath put to the house round about, without -- not to lay hold on the walls of the house.

A câmara de baixo era de cinco côvados, a do meio de seis côvados, e a terceira de sete côvados de largura. E do lado de fora, ao redor da casa, fez pilastras de reforço, para que as vigas não se apoiassem nas paredes da casa.

7 A nd the house, in its being built, of perfect stone brought hath been built, and hammer, and the axe -- any instrument of iron -- was not heard in the house, in its being built.

E edificava-se a casa com pedras lavradas na pedreira; de maneira que nem martelo, nem machado, nem qualquer outro instrumento de ferro se ouviu na casa enquanto estava sendo edificada.

8 T he opening of the middle side at the right shoulder of the house, and with windings they go up on the middle one, and from the middle one unto the third.

A porta para as câmaras laterais do meio estava ã banda direita da casa; e por escadas espirais subia-se ao andar do meio, e deste ao terceiro.

9 A nd he buildeth the house, and completeth it, and covereth the house beams and rows of cedars.

Assim, pois, edificou a casa, e a acabou, cobrindo-a com traves e pranchas de cedro.

10 A nd he buildeth the couch against all the house, five cubits its height, and it taketh hold of the house by cedar-wood.

Também edificou os andares, contra toda a casa, de cinco côvados de altura, e os ligou ã casa com madeira de cedro.

11 A nd the word of Jehovah is unto Solomon, saying,

Então veio a palavra do Senhor a Salomão, dizendo:

12 ` This house that thou art building -- if thou dost walk in My statutes, and My judgments dost do, yea, hast done all My commands, to walk in them, then I have established My word with thee, which I spake unto David thy father,

Quanto a esta casa que tu estás edificando, se andares nos meus estatutos, e executares os meus preceitos, e guardares todos os meus mandamentos, andando neles, confirmarei para contigo a minha palavra, que falei a Davi, teu pai;

13 a nd have tabernacled in the midst of the sons of Israel, and do not forsake My people Israel.'

e habitarei no meio dos filhos de Israel, e não desampararei o meu povo de Israel.

14 A nd Solomon buildeth the house and completeth it;

Salomão, pois, edificou aquela casa, e a acabou.

15 a nd he buildeth the walls of the house within with beams of cedar, from the floor of the house unto the walls of the ceiling; he hath overlaid with wood the inside, and covereth the floor of the house with ribs of fir.

Também cobriu as paredes da casa por dentro com tábuas de cedro; desde o soalho da casa até e teto, tudo cobriu com madeira por dentro; e cobriu o soalho da casa com tábuas de cipreste.

16 A nd he buildeth the twenty cubits on the sides of the house with ribs of cedar, from the floor unto the walls; and he buildeth for it within, for the oracle, for the holy of holies.

A vinte côvados do fundo da casa fez de tábuas de cedro uma divisão, de altura igual ã do teto; e por dentro a preparou para o oráculo, isto é, para a lugar santíssimo.

17 A nd forty by the cubit was the house, it the temple before.

E era a casa, isto é, o templo fronteiro ao oráculo, de quarenta côvados de comprido.

18 A nd the cedar for the house within carvings of knobs and openings of flowers; the whole cedar, there is not a stone seen.

O cedro da casa por dentro era lavrado de botões e flores abertas; tudo era cedro; pedra nenhuma se via.

19 A nd the oracle in the midst of the house within he hath prepared, to put there the ark of the covenant of Jehovah.

No meio da casa, na parte mais interior, preparou o oráculo, para pôr ali a arca do pacto do Senhor.

20 A nd before the oracle twenty cubits in length, and twenty cubits in breadth, and twenty cubits its height; and he overlayeth it with gold refined, and overlayeth the altar with cedar.

E o oráculo era, por dentro, de vinte côvados de comprimento, vinte de largura e vinte de altura; e o cobriu de ouro puro. Também cobriu de cedro o altar.

21 A nd Solomon overlayeth the house within with gold refined, and causeth to pass over in chains of gold before the oracle, and overlayeth it with gold.

Salomão, pois, cobriu a casa por dentro de ouro puro; e estendeu cadeias de ouro diante do oráculo, que cobriu também de ouro.

22 A nd the whole of the house he hath overlaid with gold, till the completion of all the house; and the whole of the altar that the oracle hath, he hath overlaid with gold.

Assim cobriu inteiramente de ouro a casa toda; também cobriu de ouro todo oe altar doe oráculo.

23 A nd he maketh within the oracle two cherubs, of the oil-tree, ten cubits their height;

No oráculo fez dois querubins de madeira de oliveira, cada um com dez côvados de altura.

24 a nd five cubits the one wing of the cherub, and five cubits the second wing of the cherub, ten cubits from the ends of its wings even unto the ends of its wings;

Uma asa de um querubim era de cinco côvados, e a outra de cinco côvados; dez côvados havia desde a extremidade de uma das suas asas até a extremidade da outra.

25 a nd ten by the cubit the second cherub, one measure and one form to the two cherubs,

Assim era também o outro querubim; ambos os querubins eram da mesma medida e do mesmo talho.

26 t he height of the one cherub ten by the cubit, and so the second cherub;

Um querubim tinha dez côvados de altura, e assim também o outro.

27 a nd he setteth the cherubs in the midst of the inner house, and they spread out the wings of the cherubs, and a wing of the one cometh against the wall, and a wing of the second cherub is coming against the second wall, and their wings unto the midst of the house, coming wing against wing;

E pôs os querubins na parte mais interior da casa. As asas dos querubins se estendiam de maneira que a asa de um tocava numa parede, e a do outro na outra parede, e as suas asas no meio da casa tocavam uma na outra.

28 a nd he overlayeth the cherubs with gold,

Também cobriu de ouro os querubins.

29 a nd all the walls of the house round about he hath carved with openings of carvings, cherubs, and palm trees, and openings of flowers, within and without.

Quanto a todas as paredes da casa em redor, entalhou-as de querubins, de palmas e de palmas abertas, tanto na parte mais interior como na mais exterior.

30 A nd the floor of the house he hath overlaid with gold, within and without;

Também cobriu de ouro o soalho da casa, de uma e de outra parte.

31 a s to the opening of the oracle, he made doors of the oil-tree; the lintel, side-posts, a fifth.

E para a entrada do oráculo fez portas de madeira de oliveira; a verga com os umbrais faziam a quinta parte da parede.

32 A nd the two doors of the oil-tree, and he hath carved upon them carvings of cherubs, and palm-trees, and openings of flowers, and overlaid with gold, and he causeth the gold to go down on the cherubs and on the palm-trees.

Assim fez as duas portas de madeira de oliveira; e entalhou-as de querubins, de palmas e de flores abertas, que cobriu de ouro também estendeu ouro sobre os querubins e sobre as palmas.

33 A nd so he hath made for the opening of the temple, side-posts of the oil-tree, from the fourth.

Assim também fez para a porta do templo umbrais de madeira de oliveira, que constituíam a quarta parte da parede;

34 A nd the two doors of fir-tree, the two sides of the one door are revolving, and the two hangings of the second door are revolving.

E eram as duas partes de madeira de cipreste; e as duas folhas duma porta eram dobradiças, como também as duas folhas da outra porta.

35 A nd he hath carved cherubs, and palms, and openings of flowers, and overlaid with straightened gold the graved work.

E as lavrou de querubins, de palmas e de flores abertas; e as cobriu de ouro acomodado ao lavor.

36 A nd he buildeth the inner court, three rows of hewn work, and a row of beams of cedar.

Também edificou o átrio interior de três ordens de pedras lavradas e de uma ordem de vigas de cedro.

37 I n the fourth year hath the house of Jehovah been founded, in the month Zif,

No quarto ano se pôs o fundamento da casa do Senhor, no mês de zive.

38 a nd in the eleventh year, in the month Bul -- the eighth month -- hath the house been finished in all its matters, and in all its ordinances, and he buildeth it seven years.

E no undécimo ano, no mês de bul, que é o oitavo mês, se acabou esta casa com todas as suas dependências, e com tudo o que lhe convinha. Assim levou sete anos para edificá-la.
