1 A nd it cometh to pass, in the four hundred and eightieth year of the going out of the sons of Israel from the land of Egypt, in the fourth year -- in the month of Zif, it the second month -- of the reigning of Solomon over Israel, that he buildeth the house for Jehovah.

فَبَدَأ سُلَيْمانُ بِبِناءِ بَيتِ اللهِ. وَذَلِكَ بَعدَ أربَعِ مِئَةٍ وَثَمانِينَ سَنَةٍ مِنْ خُرُوجِ بَنِي إسْرائِيلَ مِنْ مِصْرَ، فِي الشَّهْرِ الثّانِي – شَهرِ زِيُو – مِنَ السَّنَةِ الرّابِعَةِ مِنْ حُكمِ سُلَيْمانَ لإسْرائِيلَ.

2 A s to the house that king Solomon hath built for Jehovah, sixty cubits its length, and twenty its breadth, and thirty cubits its height.

وَكانَ طُولُ بَيتِ اللهِ الَّذِي بَناهُ سُلَيْمانُ سِتِّينَ ذِراعاً، وَعَرضُهُ عِشْرِينَ ذِراعاً، وَارتِفاعُهُ ثَلاثِينَ ذِراعاً.

3 A s to the porch on the front of the temple of the house, twenty cubits its length on the front of the breadth of the house; ten by the cubit its breadth on the front of the house;

وَبَلَغَ طُولُ دِهلِيزِ الهَيكَلِ عِشْرِينَ ذِراعاً، وَعَرضُهُ عَشَرَ أذرُعٍ. امتَدَّ الدِّهلِيزُ عَلَى طُولِ وَاجِهَةِ الهَيكَلِ نَفسِهِ، فَكانَ طُولُهُ مُساوِياً لِعَرْضِ الهَيكَلِ.

4 a nd he maketh for the house windows of narrow lights.

وَكانَ لِلهَيكَلِ نَوافِذُ مُشَبَّكَةٌ.

5 A nd he buildeth against the wall of the house a couch round about, the walls of the house round about, of the temple and of the oracle, and maketh sides round about.

وَبَنَى سُلَيْمانُ صَفّاً مِنَ الحُجُراتِ حَولَ المَبْنَى الرَّئِيسِيِّ لِلْهَيْكَلِ مُؤَلَّفاً مِنْ طَوابِقَ ثَلاثَةٍ. فَكانَتِ الحُجُراتُ مَبنِيَّةً بَعضُها فَوقَ بَعضٍ.

6 T he lowest couch, five by the cubit its breadth; and the middle, six by the cubit its breadth; and the third, seven by the cubit its breadth, for withdrawings he hath put to the house round about, without -- not to lay hold on the walls of the house.

وَكانَتِ الحُجُراتُ تَتَكِئُ عَلَى حائِطَ الهَيكَلِ. لَكِنَّ جُسُورَها لَمْ تَكُنْ مَبنِيَّةً داخِلَ الحائِطِ. فَكانَ سُمْكُ حائِطِ الهَيكَلِ فِي أعلاهُ أقَلَّ مِنْ سُمكِهِ فِي أسْفَلِهِ. وَهَكَذا كانَ عَرْضُ الحُجُراتِ فِي الطّابِقِ السُّفلِيِّ خَمسَ أذْرُعٍ، وَعَرْضُها فِي الطّابِقِ الأوسَطِ سِتَّ أذْرُعٍ، وَعَرْضُها فِي الطّابِقِ العُلوِيِّ سَبْعَ أذْرُعٍ.

7 A nd the house, in its being built, of perfect stone brought hath been built, and hammer, and the axe -- any instrument of iron -- was not heard in the house, in its being built.

وَقَطَعَ العُمّالُ الحِجارَةَ فِي المَحاجِرِ. فَلَمْ يَكُنْ فِي الهَيكَلِ صَوتُ مَطارِقَ أوْ أزامِيلَ أوْ أيَّةِ أدَواتٍ حَدِيدِيَّةٍ.

8 T he opening of the middle side at the right shoulder of the house, and with windings they go up on the middle one, and from the middle one unto the third.

وَكانَ مَدخَلُ الحُجُراتِ السُّفلِيَّةِ إلَى الجانِبِ الشَّرقِيِّ مِنَ الهَيكَلِ. وَفِي الدّاخِلِ كانَ هُناكَ دَرَجٌ يَصْعَدُ إلَى الطّابِقِ الثّانِي مِنَ الحُجُراتِ، وَمِنْ هُناكَ إلَى الطّابِقِ الثّالِثِ مِنَ الحُجُراتِ.

9 A nd he buildeth the house, and completeth it, and covereth the house beams and rows of cedars.

فَأنهَى سُلَيْمانُ بِناءَ المَبْنَى الرَّئِيسِيِّ لِلْهَيْكَلِ، وَغَطّاهُ بِألواحِ خَشَبِ الأرزِ.

10 A nd he buildeth the couch against all the house, five cubits its height, and it taketh hold of the house by cedar-wood.

وَأنهَى بنِاءَ الحُجُراتِ حَولَ الهَيكَلِ. وَبَلَغَ ارتِفاعُ كُلِّ طابِقٍ خَمْسَ أذرُعٍ. وَكانَتْ جُسُورُ خَشَبِ الأرْزِ مُثَبَّتَةً بِجِدارِ الهَيكَلِ.

11 A nd the word of Jehovah is unto Solomon, saying,

وَجاءَتْ كَلِمُةُ اللهِ إلَى سُلَيْمانَ:

12 ` This house that thou art building -- if thou dost walk in My statutes, and My judgments dost do, yea, hast done all My commands, to walk in them, then I have established My word with thee, which I spake unto David thy father,

«إنْ سَلَكْتَ بِحَسَبِ أحكامِي، وَأطَعتَ شَرائِعِي وَحَفِظتَ جَمِيعَ وَصايايَ وَعَمِلْتَ بِها، فَإنِّي سَأُحَقِّقُ لَكَ ما وَعَدتُ بِهِ داوُدَ أباكَ بِخُصُوصِ هَذا البَيتِ الَّذِي تَبنِيهِ.

13 a nd have tabernacled in the midst of the sons of Israel, and do not forsake My people Israel.'

وَسَأسكُنُ وَسَطَ بَنِي إسْرائِيلَ، وَلَنْ أتَخَلَّى عَنهُمْ.» تَفاصِيلُ تَتَعَلَّقُ بِالهَيكَل

14 A nd Solomon buildeth the house and completeth it;

وَهَكَذا انتَهَى سُلَيْمانُ مِنْ بِناءِ حِجارَةِ الهَيكَلِ.

15 a nd he buildeth the walls of the house within with beams of cedar, from the floor of the house unto the walls of the ceiling; he hath overlaid with wood the inside, and covereth the floor of the house with ribs of fir.

وَبَعدَ ذَلِكَ غُطِّيَتْ جُدرانُ الهَيكَلِ الحَجَرِيَّةُ بِألواحِ شَجَرِ الأرْزِ، مِنَ الأرْضِيَّةِ إلَى السَّقفِ. وَغُطِّيَتِ الأرْضِيَّةُ الحَجَرِيَّةُ بِألواحِ شَجَرِ السَّروِ.

16 A nd he buildeth the twenty cubits on the sides of the house with ribs of cedar, from the floor unto the walls; and he buildeth for it within, for the oracle, for the holy of holies.

وَبَنُوا حُجرَةً داخِلِيَّةً طُولُها عِشرُونَ ذِراعاً فِي الجَزءِ الخَلفِيِّ مِنَ الهَيكَلِ. وَغَطُّوا جُدرانَ هَذِهِ الحُجرَةِ بِألواحِ الأرْزِ، مِنَ الأرْضِيَّةِ إلَى السَّقفِ. وَسُمِّيَتْ هَذِهِ الحُجرَةُ قُدسَ الأقداسِ.

17 A nd forty by the cubit was the house, it the temple before.

وَكانَ القِسْمُ الرَّئِيسِيُّ مِنَ الهَيكَلِ أمامَ قُدْسِ الأُقداسِ الَّذي كانَ طُولُهُ أربَعِينَ ذِراعاً.

18 A nd the cedar for the house within carvings of knobs and openings of flowers; the whole cedar, there is not a stone seen.

وَغَطُّوا جُدرانَ الحُجرَةِ كُلِّها بِألواحِ الأرْزِ المُزَخرَفَةِ بِصُوَرِ بَراعِمِ زُهُورٍ وَقَرْعٍ، فَلَمْ يَظهَرْ أيٌّ مِنْ حِجارَةِ الجُدرانِ.

19 A nd the oracle in the midst of the house within he hath prepared, to put there the ark of the covenant of Jehovah.

وَأعَدَّ سُلَيْمانُ الحُجرَةَ الدّاخِلِيَّةَ فِي الجُزءِ الخَلفِيِّ مِنَ الهَيكَلِ، وَوَضَعَ فِيها صُنْدُوقَ عَهدِ اللهِ.

20 A nd before the oracle twenty cubits in length, and twenty cubits in breadth, and twenty cubits its height; and he overlayeth it with gold refined, and overlayeth the altar with cedar.

كانَ طُولُ الحُجرَةِ عِشرِينَ ذِراعاً، وَعَرضُها عِشرِينَ ذِراعاً، وَارْتِفاعُها عِشرِينَ ذِراعاً. وَغَشَّى سُلَيْمانُ جُدرانَ الحُجرَةِ بِذَهَبٍ نَقِيٍّ. كَما وَضَعَ فِيها المَذْبَحَ المَصنُوعُ مِنَ خَشَبِ الأرْزِ، وَقَدْ غَشّاهُ بِالذَهَبِ.

21 A nd Solomon overlayeth the house within with gold refined, and causeth to pass over in chains of gold before the oracle, and overlayeth it with gold.

وَغَشَّى سُلَيْمانُ جُدرانَ الهَيكَلِ الدّاخِلِيَّةَ بِذَهَبٍ نَقِيٍّ، ثُمَّ عَلَّقَ سَلاسِلَ مُغَشّاةً بِالذَّهَبِ أمامَ المَقدِسِ الدّاخِلِيِّ.

22 A nd the whole of the house he hath overlaid with gold, till the completion of all the house; and the whole of the altar that the oracle hath, he hath overlaid with gold.

فَقَد غَشَّي بِالذَّهَبِ الهَيكَلَ كُلَّهُ حَتَّى اكتَمَلَ، وَكَذَلِكَ غَشَّي المَذبَحَ القائِمَ أمامَ المَقدِسِ الدّاخِلِيِّ.

23 A nd he maketh within the oracle two cherubs, of the oil-tree, ten cubits their height;

وَصَنَعَ تِمثالَينِ لِمَلاكَينِ كَرُوبَينِ مِنْ خَشَبِ الزَّيتُونِ ارتِفاعُ كُلٌّ مِنْهُما عَشَرُ أذرُعٍ.

24 a nd five cubits the one wing of the cherub, and five cubits the second wing of the cherub, ten cubits from the ends of its wings even unto the ends of its wings;

كانَ طُولُ كُلِّ جَناحٍ مِنْ أجنِحَةِ الكَرُوبِ خَمْسَ أذْرُعٍ، فَالمَسافَةُ بَينَ طَرَفَي الجَناحَينِ المُتَقابِلَينِ عَشْرُ أذْرُعٍ.

25 a nd ten by the cubit the second cherub, one measure and one form to the two cherubs,

وَكَذَلِكَ كانَ الكَرُوُبُ الثّانِي. فَالمَسافَةُ بَينَ طَرَفَي الجَناحَينِ المُتَقابِلَينِ لِلكَرُوبِ الثّانِي عَشَرُ أذْرُعٍ أيضاً. فَقَدْ كانَ لِلتِّمثالَينِ أبعادٌ واحِدَةٌ وَشَكلٌ واحِدٌ.

26 t he height of the one cherub ten by the cubit, and so the second cherub;

فَارتِفاعُ الأوَّلِ عَشْرُ أذرُعٍ، وَارتِفاعُ الثّانِي عَشَرُ أذرُعٍ.

27 a nd he setteth the cherubs in the midst of the inner house, and they spread out the wings of the cherubs, and a wing of the one cometh against the wall, and a wing of the second cherub is coming against the second wall, and their wings unto the midst of the house, coming wing against wing;

وُضِعَ هَذانِ الكَرُوبانِ فِي قُدسِ الأقداسِ جَنباً إلَى جَنبٍ، بِحَيْثُ يَتَلامَسُ جَناحاهُما فِي وَسَطِ الحُجرَةِ، بَينَما يُلامِسُ الجَناحانِ الآخَرانِ جِدارَي الحُجرَةِ.

28 a nd he overlayeth the cherubs with gold,

وَقَدْ غُشِّيَ المَلاكانِ الكَرُوبانِ بِالذَّهَبِ.

29 a nd all the walls of the house round about he hath carved with openings of carvings, cherubs, and palm trees, and openings of flowers, within and without.

وَنُقِشَتِ الجُدرانُ حَولَ الحُجرَةِ الرَّئِيسِيَّةِ وَالحُجرَةِ الدّاخِلِيَّةِ عَلَى شَكلِ مَلائِكَةِ الكَرُوبِيمَ، وَأشجارِ النَّخِيلِ، وَبَراعِمِ الزُّهُورِ.

30 A nd the floor of the house he hath overlaid with gold, within and without;

وَغُشِّيَتْ أرْضِيَّةُ كِلْتا الحُجرَتَينِ بِالذَّهَبِ.

31 a s to the opening of the oracle, he made doors of the oil-tree; the lintel, side-posts, a fifth.

وَصَنَعَ العُمّالُ مِصراعَينِ مِنْ خَشَبِ الزَّيتُونِ. وَوَضَعُوهُما فِي مَدخَلِ قُدْسِ الأقداسِ. وَكانَتِ القَوائِمُ حَولَ المصراعَينِ خُماسِيَّةِ الشَّكلِ وَالوُجُوهِ.

32 A nd the two doors of the oil-tree, and he hath carved upon them carvings of cherubs, and palm-trees, and openings of flowers, and overlaid with gold, and he causeth the gold to go down on the cherubs and on the palm-trees.

وَعَمِلُوا المِصراعينِ مِنْ خَشَبِ الزَّيتُونِ وَنَقَشُوا عَلَيها صُوَرَ مَلائِكَةِ الكَرُوبِيمَ، وَأشجارِ النَّخِيلِ وَبَراعِمِ الزُّهُورِ. ثُمَّ غَشُّوهُما بِالذَّهَبِ.

33 A nd so he hath made for the opening of the temple, side-posts of the oil-tree, from the fourth.

وَعَمِلُوا أيضاً بابَينِ لِمَدخَلِ الحُجرَةِ الرَّئِيسِيّةِ. وَاستَخدَمُوا خَشَبَ الزَّيتُونِ فِي صُنْعِ قَوائِمَ مُرَبَّعَةٍ لِلبابَينِ.

34 A nd the two doors of fir-tree, the two sides of the one door are revolving, and the two hangings of the second door are revolving.

ثُمَّ استَخدَمُوا خَشَبَ السَّروِ لِصُنْعِ قُضْبانٍ لِلبابَينِ، وَتَألَّفَ كُلُّ بابٍ مِنْ دَفَّتَينِ قَابِلَتَينِ لِلطَّيِّ.

35 A nd he hath carved cherubs, and palms, and openings of flowers, and overlaid with straightened gold the graved work.

وَنَقَشُوا صُوَرَ مَلائِكَةِ الكَرُوبِيمَ وَأشجارِ النَّخِيلِ وَبَراعِمِ الزُّهُورِ عَلَى البابَينِ. ثُمَّ غَشُّوهُما بِالذَّهَبِ.

36 A nd he buildeth the inner court, three rows of hewn work, and a row of beams of cedar.

ثُمَّ بَنَوْا جُدرانَ السّاحَةِ الدّاخِلِيَّةِ مِنْ ثَلاثَةِ صُفُوفٍ مِنَ الحِجارَةِ المَنحُوتَةِ وَصَفٍّ مِنْ أخشابِ الأرْزِ.

37 I n the fourth year hath the house of Jehovah been founded, in the month Zif,

وَقَدْ بَدَأَ العَمَلُ فِي وَضعِ أساسِ بَيتِ اللهِ فِي الشَّهْرِ الثّانِي – شَهرِ زِيُو – مِنَ السَّنَةِ الرّابِعَةِ مِنْ حُكمِ سُلَيْمانَ.

38 a nd in the eleventh year, in the month Bul -- the eighth month -- hath the house been finished in all its matters, and in all its ordinances, and he buildeth it seven years.

وَانتَهَى العَمَلُ فِي بِناءِ الهَيكَلِ وَجَميعِ أجزائِهِ وَتَفاصِيلِهِ فِي الشَّهْرِ الثّامِنِ – شَهرِ بُولَ – مِنَ السَّنَةِ الحادِيَةَ عَشْرَةَ مِنْ حُكمِ سُلَيْمانَ لإسْرائِيلَ. فَاسْتَغرَقَ بِناؤهُ سبعَ سَنَواتٍ.
