1 A nd Israel journeyeth, and all that he hath, and cometh in to Beer-Sheba, and sacrificeth sacrifices to the God of his father Isaac;

فَشَرَعَ إسْرائِيلُ فِي رِحلَتِهِ آخِذاً مَعَهُ كُلَّ ما لَهُ. وَوَصَلَ إلَى بِئْرِ السَّبْعِ. وَهُناكَ قَدَّمَ ذَبائِحَ لإلَهِ أبِيهِ إسْحاقَ.

2 a nd God speaketh to Israel in visions of the night, and saith, `Jacob, Jacob;' and he saith, `Here I.'

وَفِي تِلْكَ اللَّيلَةِ كَلَّمَ اللهُ إسْرائِيلَ فِي حُلْمٍ فَقالَ لَهُ: «يَعقُوبُ، يَعْقُوبُ.» فَقالَ يَعقُوبُ: «سَمْعاً وَطاعَةً.»

3 A nd He saith, `I God, God of thy father, be not afraid of going down to Egypt, for for a great nation I set thee there;

فَقالَ: «أنا اللهُ، إلَهُ أبِيكَ. لا تَخْشَ النُّزُولَ إلَى مِصْرَ، فَأنا سَأجعَلُكَ أُمَّةً عَظِيمَةً هُناكَ.

4 I -- I go down with thee to Egypt, and I -- I also certainly bring thee up, and Joseph doth put his hand on thine eyes.'

سَأنزِلُ إلَى مِصْرَ مَعَكَ. وَسَأُعِيدُكَ مِنْ هُناكَ. وَسَيُغلِقُ ابْنُكَ يُوسُفُ عَينَيكَ حَينَ تَمُوتُ.» إسْرائيلُ يَذهبُ إلى مِصر

5 A nd Jacob riseth from Beer-Sheba, and the sons of Israel bear away Jacob their father, And their infants, and their wives, in the waggons which Pharaoh hath sent to bear him,

فَغادَرَ يَعقُوبُ بِئْرَ السَّبْعِ. وَحَمَلَ أولادُ إسْرائِيلَ أباهُمْ يَعقُوبَ وَأبْناءَهُمْ وَزَوْجاتِهِمْ عَلَى العَرَباتِ الَّتِي كانَ فِرعَوْنُ قَدْ أرسَلَها لِتَحمِلَهُم.

6 a nd they take their cattle, and their goods which they have acquired in the land of Canaan, and come into Egypt -- Jacob, and all his seed with him,

فَأخَذُوا مَواشِيَهُمْ وَكُلَّ مُقْتَنَياتِهِمِ الَّتِي اقتَنُوها فِي أرْضِ كَنْعانَ. وَذَهَبَ يَعْقُوبُ وَكُلُّ نَسلِهِ مَعَهُ إلَى مِصْرَ.

7 h is sons, and his sons' sons with him, his daughters, and his sons' daughters, yea, all his seed he brought with him into Egypt.

أخَذَ يَعقُوبُ مَعَهُ إلَى مِصْرَ أولادَهُ وَأحفادَهُ، وَبَناتِهِ وَحَفِيداتِهِ، وَكُلَّ نَسلِهِ. عائلةُ إسْرائيل

8 A nd these the names of the sons of Israel who are coming into Egypt: Jacob and his sons, Jacob's first-born, Reuben.

هَذِهِ هِيَ أسْماءُ أبناءِ إسْرائِيلَ الَّذِينَ دَخَلُوا مِصْرَ، يَعقُوبُ وَبَنُوهُ: رَأُوبَيْنُ، وَكانَ بِكْرَ يَعقُوبَ.

9 A nd sons of Reuben: Hanoch, and Phallu, and Hezron, and Carmi.

أمّا أبْناءُ رَأُوبَيْنَ فَهُمْ حَنُوكُ وَفَلُّو وَحَصْرُونُ وَكَرْمِي.

10 A nd sons of Simeon: Jemuel, and Jamin, and Ohad, and Jachin, and Zohar, and Shaul son of the Canaanitess.

وَأبْناءُ شِمْعُونَ هُمْ يَمُوئِيلُ وَيامِينُ وَأُوهَدُ وَياكِينُ وَصُوحَرُ وَشَاوُلُ ابْنُ الكَنعانِيَّةِ.

11 A nd sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.

وَأبْناءُ لاوِي هُمْ جَرْشُونُ وَقَهاتُ وَمَرارِي.

12 A nd sons of Judah: Er, and Onan, and Shelah, and Pharez, and Zarah, (and Er and Onan die in the land of Canaan.) And sons of Pharez are Hezron and Hamul.

وَأبْناءُ يَهُوذا هُمْ: عِيرُ وَأُونانُ وَشِيلَةُ وَفارَصُ وَزارِحُ. وَماتَ عِيرُ وَأُونانُ فِي أرْضِ كِنْعانَ. وَأبْناءُ فارَصَ هُمْ حَصْرُونُ وَحامُولُ.

13 A nd sons of Issachar: Tola, and Phuvah, and Job, and Shimron.

وَأبْناءُ يَسّاكَرَ هُمْ تُولاعُ وَفَوَّةُ وَيُوبُ وَشِمْرُونُ.

14 A nd sons of Zebulun: Sered, and Elon, and Jahleel.

وَأبْناءُ زَبُولُونَ هُمْ سادَرُ وَإيلُونُ وَياحَلْئِيلُ.

15 T hese sons of Leah whom she bare to Jacob in Padan-Aram, and Dinah his daughter; all the persons of his sons and his daughters thirty and three.

هَؤُلاءِ هُمْ أبْناءُ لَيئَةَ الَّذِينَ أنجَبَتْهُمْ لِيَعقُوبَ فِي فَدَّانَ أرامَ. بِالإضافَةِ إلَى دِينَةَ، ابْنَةِ يَعقُوبَ. وَكانَ عَدَدُ هَذا الجُزْءِ مِنَ العائِلَةِ ثَلاثَةً وَثَلاثِينَ فَرداً.

16 A nd sons of Gad: Ziphion, and Haggi, Shuni, and Ezbon, Eri, and Arodi, and Areli.

وَأبْناءُ جادَ فَهُمْ صِفْيُونُ وَحَجِّي وَشُونِي وَأصْبُونُ وَعِيرِي وَأرُودِي وَأرْئِيلِي.

17 A nd sons of Asher: Jimnah, and Ishuah, and Isui, and Beriah, and Serah their sister. And sons of Beriah: Heber and Malchiel.

وَأبْناءُ أشِيرَ هُمْ يَمْنَةُ وَيَشْوَةُ وَيِشْوِي وَبَرِيعَةُ، وَأُختُهُمْ سارَحُ. وَابْنا بَرِيعَةَ هُما حابِرُ وَمَلْكِيئِيلُ.

18 T hese sons of Zilpah, whom Laban gave to Leah his daughter, and she beareth these to Jacob -- sixteen persons.

هَؤُلاءِ هُمْ أولادُ زِلْفَةَ. وَكانَ لابانُ قَدْ أعطاها لِلَيئَةَ. فَأنجَبَتْ زِلْفَةُ هَؤُلاءِ الأبْناءَ لِيَعقُوبَ. وَكانَ مَجمُوعُ هَذا الجُزْءِ مِنَ العائِلَةِ سِتَّةَ عَشَرَ فَرداً.

19 S ons of Rachel, Jacob's wife: Joseph and Benjamin.

وَأمّا ابْنا راحِيلَ فَهُما يُوسُفُ وَبَنْيامِيْنُ.

20 A nd born to Joseph in the land of Egypt (whom Asenath daughter of Poti-Pherah, priest of On, hath borne to him) Manasseh and Ephraim.

وَوُلِدَ مَنَسَّى وَأفْرايِمُ لِيُوسُفَ فِي أرْضِ مِصْرَ مِنْ زَوجَتِهِ أسْناتَ بِنتِ فِوْطِي فارَعَ كاهِنِ مَدِينَةِ أُونَ.

21 A nd sons of Benjamin: Belah, and Becher, and Ashbel, Gera, and Naaman, Ehi, and Rosh, Muppim, and Huppim, and Ard.

وَأبناءُ بَنْيامِيْنَ هُمْ بالَعُ وَباكَرُ وَأشْبِيلُ وَجِيرا وَنُعمانُ وَإيحِي وَرُوشُ وَمُفِّيمُ وَحُفِّيمُ وَأرْدٌ.

22 T hese sons of Rachel, who were born to Jacob; all the persons fourteen.

هَؤُلاءِ هُمْ أولادُ راحِيلَ الَّذِينَ أنجَبَتْهُمْ لِيَعقُوبَ. وَكانَ عَدَدُ هَذا الجُزْءِ مِنَ العائِلَةِ أرْبَعَةَ عَشَرَ فَرداً.

23 A nd sons of Dan: Hushim.

وَابْنُ دانَ هُوَ حُوشِيمُ.

24 A nd sons of Naphtali: Jahzeel, and Guni, and Jezer, and Shillem.

وَأمّا أبْناءُ نَفْتالِي هُمْ ياحَصْئِيلُ وَجُونِي وَبِصْرُ وَشِلِّيمُ.

25 T hese sons of Bilhah, whom Laban gave to Rachel his daughter; and she beareth these to Jacob -- all the persons seven.

هَؤُلاءِ هُمْ أولادُ بِلْهَةَ. وَكانَ لابانُ قَدْ أعطَى بِلْهَةَ لابْنَتِهِ راحِيلَ. فَوَلَدَتْ بِلْهَةُ هَؤُلاءِ الأبْناءَ لِيَعْقُوبَ. فَمَجمُوعُ هَذا الجُزْءِ مِنَ العائِلَةِ سَبْعَةَ أفْرادٍ.

26 A ll the persons who are coming to Jacob to Egypt, coming out of his thigh, apart from the wives of Jacob's sons, all the persons sixty and six.

فَكانَ مَجمُوعُ الَّذِينَ ذَهَبُوا إلَى مِصْرَ مَعَ يَعْقُوبَ مِنْ نَسلِهِ سِتَّةً وَسِتِّينَ فَرداً. وَلا يَشْمُلُ هَذا العَدَدُ زَوْجاتِ أولادِ يَعْقُوبَ.

27 A nd the sons of Joseph who have been born to him in Egypt two persons. All the persons of the house of Jacob who are coming into Egypt seventy.

وَهُناكَ أيضاً ابْنا يُوسُفَ اللَّذانِ أنجَبَهُما فِي مِصْرَ. فَكانَ مَجمُوعُ الأفْرادِ فِي بَيتِ يَعقُوبَ الَّذِينَ ذَهَبُوا إلَى مِصْرَ سَبْعِينَ فَرداً. وصولُ إسْرائيلَ إلى مِصْر

28 A nd Judah he hath sent before him unto Joseph, to direct before him to Goshen, and they come into the land of Goshen;

وَأرْسَلَ يَعقُوبُ يَهُوذا قَبلَهُ إلَى يُوسُفَ لِكَي يَدُلَّهُ عَلَى الطَّرِيقِ إلَى جاسانَ. فَوَصَلُوا إلَى أرْضِ جاسانَ.

29 a nd Joseph harnesseth his chariot, and goeth up to meet Israel his father, to Goshen, and appeareth unto him, and falleth on his neck, and weepeth on his neck again;

فَجَهَّزَ يُوسُفُ عَرَبَتَهُ وَصَعِدَ إلَى جاسانَ لِمُلاقاةِ أبِيهِ إسْرائِيلَ. وَعانَقَهُ وَبَكَى عَلَى كَتِفِهِ مُدَّةً طَوِيلَةً.

30 a nd Israel saith unto Joseph, `Let me die this time, after my seeing thy face, for thou yet alive.'

ثُمَّ قالَ يَعقُوبُ لِيُوسُفَ: «أنا الآنَ مُسْتَعِدٌّ أنْ أمُوتَ، حَيثُ إنِّي رَأيتُكَ بِنَفسِي وَتَأكَّدْتُ مِنْ أنَّكَ ما زِلْتَ حَيّاً.»

31 A nd Joseph saith unto his brethren, and unto the house of his father, `I go up, and declare to Pharaoh, and say unto him, My brethren, and the house of my father who in the land of Canaan have come in unto me;

فَقالَ يُوسُفُ لإخْوَتِهِ وَلِكُلِّ بَيتِ أبِيهِ: «سَأصْعَدُ لِأُكَلِّمَ فِرعَوْنَ. وَسَأقُولُ لَهُ: ‹لَقَدْ جاءَ إلَيَّ إخْوَتِي وَبَيتُ أبِي مِنْ أرْضِ كَنْعانَ.

32 a nd the men feeders of a flock, for they have been men of cattle; and their flock, and their herd, and all that they have, they have brought.'

وَرِجالُهُمْ رُعاةٌ، فَهُمْ يُرَبُّونَ مَواشِيَ. وَقَدْ جَلَبُوا مَعَهُمْ قُطعانَ غَنَمِهِمْ وَبَقَرِهِمْ وَكُلِّ ما يَملِكُونَ.›

33 ` And it hath come to pass when Pharaoh calleth for you, and hath said, What your works?

فَحِينَ يَسْتَدْعِيكُمْ فِرعَوْنُ وَيَسْألُكُمْ: ‹ما هُوَ عَمَلُكُمْ؟›

34 t hat ye have said, Thy servants have been men of cattle from our youth, even until now, both we and our fathers, -- in order that ye may dwell in the land of Goshen, for the abomination of the Egyptians is every one feeding a flock.'

قُولُوا لَهُ: ‹كُنّا، نَحْنُ خُدّامَكَ، نُرَبِّي المَواشِيَ مُنذُ صِغَرِنا إلَى الآنَ، أباً عَنْ جَدٍّ.› قُولُوا هَذا لِكَي تَسْكُنُوا فِي أرْضِ جاسانَ. فَكُلُّ راعٍ مَكرُوهٌ فِي مِصْرَ.»
