1 T he masters! that which is righteous and equal to the servants give ye, having known that ye also have a Master in the heavens.

أيُّها السّادَةُ، عامِلُوا عَبِيدَكُمْ بِالعَدلِ وَالإنصافِ. وَتَذَكَّرُوا أنَّ لَكُمْ أنتُمْ أيضاً سَيِّداً فِي السَّماءِ. تَوجِيهاتٌ

2 I n the prayer continue ye, watching in it in thanksgiving;

وَاظِبُوا عَلَى الصَّلاةِ بِيَقَظَةٍ وَشُكْرٍ.

3 p raying at the same time also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word, to speak the secret of the Christ, because of which also I have been bound,

وَصَلُّوا مِنْ أجلِنا نَحنُ أيضاً كَيْ يَفتَحَ اللهُ لَنا باباً لِلكَلامِ، لِكَيْ نُعلِنَ سِرَّ المَسِيحِ الَّذِي أنا سَجِينٌ بِسَبَبِ المُناداةِ بِهِ.

4 t hat I may manifest it, as it behoveth me to speak;

فَصَلُّوا أنْ أتَمَكَّنَ مِنْ إعلانِ هَذا السِّرِّ بِوضوحٍ كَما يَنْبَغِي.

5 i n wisdom walk ye toward those without, the time forestalling;

اسلُكوا بِحِكمَةٍ مَعَ غَيرِ المُؤمِنِينَ، مُستَغِلِّيْنَ الوَقتَ.

6 y our word always in grace -- with salt being seasoned -- to know how it behoveth you to answer each one.

كُونُوا لَبِقِينَ فِي حَدِيثِكُمْ، حَتَّىْ يَجِدَهُ الآخَرونَ مُستَساغاً. فَبِهَذا تَعرِفُونَ كَيفَ تُجاوِبُونَ كُلَّ شَخصٍ. رِفاقِ بُولُس

7 A ll the things concerning me make known to you shall Tychicus -- the beloved brother, and faithful ministrant, and fellow-servant in the Lord --

سَيَحكِي لَكُمْ تِيخِيكُسُ كُلَّ أخبارِي. إنَّهُ أخٌ مَحبُوبٌ، وَخادِمٌ أمينٌ، وَعَبدٌ مَعِي فِي خِدمَةِ الرَّبِّ.

8 w hom I did send unto you for this very thing, that he might know the things concerning you, and might comfort your hearts,

وَها أنا أُرسِلُهُ إلَيكُمْ لِهَذا الغَرَضِ: أنْ تَعرِفُوا آخِرَ أخبارِي، وَأنْ يُشَجِّعَ قُلُوبَكُمْ.

9 w ith Onesimus the faithful and beloved brother, who is of you; all things to you shall they make known that here.

وَسَأُرسِلُ مَعَهُ أُنسِيْمُسَ، أخانا الأمينُ المَحبُوبُ، الَّذِي هُوَ واحِدٌ مِنكُمْ، وَسَيُخبِرانِكُمْ بِما يَجرِي هُنا.

10 S alute you doth Aristarchus, my fellow-captive, and Marcus, the nephew of Barnabas, (concerning whom ye did receive commands -- if he may come unto you receive him,)

يُهدِيكُمُ التَّحِيَّةَ رَفِيقِي فِي السِّجنِ، أرَسْتَرْخُسُ، وَأيضاً مَرقُسُ ابنُ أُختِ بَرنابا. وَقَدْ سَبَقَ أنْ أعطَيتُكُمْ تَعلِيماتٍ فِي ما يَتَعَلَّقُ بِهِ. فَإذا وَصَلَ إلَيكُمْ، رَحِّبُوا بِهِ جَيِّداً.

11 a nd Jesus who is called Justus, who are of the circumcision: these only fellow-workers for the reign of God who did become a comfort to me.

يُسَلِّمُ عَلَيكُمْ يَشُوعُ الَّذِي يُدعَى أيضاً يُسْطُسَ، فَهَؤُلاءِ هُمُ الوَحِيدُونَ الَّذِينَ يَعمَلُونَ مَعِي فِي نَشرِ مَلَكُوتِ اللهِ مِنْ بَينِ المُؤمِنِينَ بِالمَسِيحِ مِنْ أصلٍ يَهُودِيٍّ. فَكانُوا مَصدَرَ عَزاءٍ عَظِيمٍ لِي.

12 S alute you doth Epaphras, who of you, a servant of Christ, always striving for you in the prayers, that ye may stand perfect and made full in all the will of God,

كَما يُسَلِّمُ عَلَيكُمْ أبَفراسُ الَّذي هُوَ واحِدٌ مِنكُمْ وَخادِمٌ لِلمَسِيحِ يَسُوعَ. وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي عَلَى الدَّوامِ بِحَرارَةٍ مِنْ أجلِكُمْ لِكَيْ يُنَمِّيكُمُ اللهُ وَيُؤَكِّدَ لَكُمْ مَشِيئَتَهُ.

13 f or I do testify to him, that he hath much zeal for you, and those in Laodicea, and those in Hierapolis.

وَأنا أشهَدُ أنَّهُ يَتعَبُ عَلَى الدَّوامِ مِنْ أجلِكُمْ، وَمِنْ أجلِ الَّذِينَ فِي لاوُدكِيَّةَ، وَالَّذِينَ فِي هِيرابُولِيسَ.

14 S alute you doth Lukas, the beloved physician, and Demas;

كَما يُسَلِّمُ عَلَيكُمْ لُوقا الطَّبِيبُ الحَبِيْبُ، وَدِيماسُ. خاتمة

15 s alute ye those in Laodicea -- brethren, and Nymphas, and the assembly in his house;

حَيُّوا الإخوَةَ السّاكِنِينَ فِي لاوُدكِيَّةَ، سَلِّمُوا عَلَى نِمفاسَ وَالكَنِيسَةَ الَّتِي تَجتَمِعُ فِي بَيتِه.

16 a nd when the epistle may be read with you, cause that also in the assembly of the Laodiceans it may be read, and the from Laodicea that ye also may read;

وَبَعدَ أنْ تُقرَأ هَذِهِ الرِّسالَةُ عَلَيكُمْ، فَلتُقرَأْ أيضاً عَلَى الكَنِيسَةِ المَوجُودَةِ فِي لاوُدكِيَّةِ. وَاقرَأُوا أنتُمْ أيضاً رِسالَتِي الَّتِي سَتَصِلُكُمْ مِنْ لاوُدكِيَّةَ.

17 a nd say to Archippus, `See to the ministration that thou didst receive in the Lord, that thou mayest fulfil it.'

وَقُولُوا لِأرخِبُّسَ: «احرِصْ عَلَى أنْ تُتَمِّمَ المَهَمَّةَ الَّتِي استَأْمَنَكَ الرَّبُّ عَلَيها.»

18 T he salutation by the hand of me, Paul; remember my bonds; the grace with you. Amen.

وَفِي الخَتامِ، أكتُبُ لَكُمْ أنا بُولُسَ، هَذِهِ التَّحِيَّةَ بِخَطِّ يَدِي: تَذَكَّرُوا أنّنِي مَسجُونٌ. لِتَكُنْ مَعَكُمْ نِعمَةُ اللهِ.
