1 H ear ye this, O house of Jacob, Who are called by the name of Israel, And from the waters of Judah came out, Who are swearing by the name of Jehovah, And of the God of Israel make mention, Not in truth nor in righteousness.

«اسْمَعُوا هَذا يا بَيتَ يَعقُوبَ، المَدعُوِّينَ بِاسْمِ إسْرائِيلَ، المُنحَدِرِينَ مِنْ نَسلِ يَهُوذا، الحالِفِينَ بِاسْمِ يهوه ، السَّاعِينَ إلَى إلَهَ إسْرائِيلَ، وَلَكِنْ لَيسَ بِصِدقٍ أوْ إخلاصٍ.

2 F or from the Holy City they have been called, And on the God of Israel been supported, Jehovah of Hosts His name.

«لأنَّكُمْ تَدعُونَ أنفُسَكُمْ: ‹أبناءَ المَدِينَةِ المُقَدِّسَةِ،› وَتَتَّكِلُونَ عَلَى إلَهِ إسْرائِيلَ الَّذِي اسْمُهُ ‹يهوه القَدِيرُ.›

3 T he former things from that time I declared, And from my mouth they have gone forth, And I proclaim them, Suddenly I have done, and it cometh.

«قَدْ أعلَنْتُ ما سَيَحدُثُ قَبلَ حُدُوثِهِ، قُلْتُ هَذِهِ الأُمُورَ وَجَعَلْتُها مَعرُوفَةً. وَفَجأةً صَنَعْتُها فَحَدَثَتْ.

4 F rom my knowing that thou art obstinate, And a sinew of iron thy neck, And thy forehead brass,

لأنِّي عَرَفتُ أنَّكَ عَنِيدٌ، وَأنَّ عَضَلاتِ رَقَبَتِكَ كَالحَدِيدِ، وَجَبهَتَكَ كَالبُرونْزِ.

5 A nd I declare to thee from that time, Before it cometh I have caused thee to hear, Lest thou say, `Mine idol hath done them, And my graven image, And my molten image did command them.

أعلَنتُ لَكَ هَذِهِ الأُمُورَ مُنذُ فَترَةٍ طَوِيلَةٍ، وَقَبلَ حُدُوثِها أخبَرتُكَ بِها، حَتَّى لا تَقُولَ: ‹صَنَمِي عَمِلَها، وَثَنِي وَتِمثالِيَ المَعدَنِيُّ أمَرَ بِها.› عِقابُ اللهِ لإسْرائِيل

6 T hou hast heard, see the whole of it, And ye, do ye not declare? I have caused thee to hear new things from this time, And things reserved that ye knew not.

«سَمِعْتَ بِهَذِهِ الأُمُورِ، فَانظُرْ إلَيها كُلَّها. أفَلَنْ تُخبِرُوا بِهَذِهِ الأُمُورِ؟ مِنَ الآنَ فَصاعِداً، سَاُخبِرُكُمْ بِأُمُورٍ جَدِيدَةٍ، أُمُورٍ لا تَعرِفُونَها.

7 N ow they have been produced and not from that time, Yea, before the day, and thou hast not heard them, Lest thou say, `Lo, I have known them.'

خُلِقَتْ هَذِهِ الأُمُورُ الآنَ، وَلَيسَ قَبلَ فَترَةٍ، وَقَبلَ اليَومِ لَمْ تَسمَعْ بِها، وَلِذَلِكَ لا تَستَطِيعَ أنْ تَقُولَ: «كُنتُ أعرِفُها.»

8 Y ea, thou hast not heard, Yea, thou hast not known, Yea, from that time not opened hath thine ear, For I have known thou dealest treacherously, And `Transgressor from the belly,' One is crying to thee.

فَأنتَ لَمْ تَسمَعْ وَلَمْ تعرِفْ، وَأُذُنُكَ مُغلَقَةٌ. لأنِّي عَرَفتُ أنَّكَ غادِرٌ، وَقَدْ دُعِيتَ عاصِياً مُنذُ وِلادَتِكَ.

9 F or My name's sake I defer Mine anger, And My praise I restrain for thee, So as not to cut thee off.

«سَأكُونُ صَبُوراً مَعكَ لأجلِ نَفسِي، وَلأجلِ تَسبِيحِي سَأَتَأَنَّى حَتَّى لا أقضِيَ عَلَيكَ.

10 L o, I have refined thee, and not with silver, I have chosen thee in a furnace of affliction.

«نَقَّيتُكَ وَلَكِنْ لَيسَ بِالنّارِ كَتَنقِيَةِ الفِضَّةِ، امتَحَنتُكَ فِي فُرنِ المُعاناةِ.

11 F or My sake, for Mine own sake, I do, For how is it polluted? And Mine honour to another I give not.

لأجلِ نَفسِي، لأجلِ نَفسِي أعمَلُ هَذا، حَتَّى لا يَتَنَجَّسُ اسْمِي، وَمَجدِي لَنْ أُعطِيَهُ لآخَرَ.

12 H earken to me, O Jacob, and Israel, My called one, I He, I first, and I last;

«اسْتَمِعُوا إلَيَّ يا بَيتَ يَعقُوبَ، وَيا بَني إسْرائِيلَ الَّذِينَ أدعُوهُمْ. أنا هُوَ، أنا الأوَّلُ، وَأنا الآخِرُ.

13 A lso, My hand hath founded earth, And My right hand stretched out the heavens, I am calling unto them, they stand together.

يَدِي وَضَعَتْ أساسَ الأرْضِ، وَيُمنايَ نَشَرَتِ السَّماواتِ. أدعُوها، فَتأتِيَ أمامِي مَعاً.

14 B e gathered all of you, and hear, Who among them did declare these things? Jehovah hath loved him, He doth His pleasure on Babylon, And His arm the Chaldeans.

«اجتَمِعُوا مَعاً كُلُّكُمْ وَاستَمَعُوا. مَنْ مِنكُمْ أخبَرَ بِهَذِهِ الأُمُورِ؟ اللهُ أحَبَّ كُورَشَ، وَسَيَعمَلُ ما يُرِيدُهُ إلَهُهُ بِبابِلَ وَبِالكِلدانِيِّينَ.

15 I -- I have spoken, yea, I have called him, I have brought him in, And he hath made prosperous his way.

«أنا نَفسِي تَكَلَّمْتُ وَدَعَوتُهُ. أنا أتَيتُ بِهِ، وَخُطَّتُهُ سَتَنجَحُ.

16 C ome ye near unto me, hear this, Not from the beginning in secret spake I, From the time of its being, there I, And now the Lord Jehovah hath sent me, and His Spirit.

اقتَرِبُوا إلَيَّ وَاستَمِعُوا إلَى هَذا. مِنَ البِدايَةِ لَمْ أكُنْ أتَكَلَّمُ بِالسِّرِّ، وَمِنْ وَقتِ بِناءِ بابِلَ كُنتُ هُناكَ.» وَالآنَ الرَّبُّ الإلَهُ أرسَلَنِي مَعَ رُوحِهِ.

17 T hus said Jehovah, thy redeemer, The Holy One of Israel, `I Jehovah thy God, teaching thee to profit, Causing thee to tread in the way thou goest.

فَهَذا هُوَ ما يَقُولُهُ اللهُ ، فادِيكَ وَقُدُّوسُ إسْرائِيلَ: «أنا إلَهُكَ ، الَّذِي يُعَلِّمُكَ لأجلِ مَنفَعَتِكَ، الَّذِي يَقُودُكَ فِي الطَّرِيقِ الَّذِي عَلَيكَ السَّيرُ فِيهِ.

18 O that thou hadst attended to My commands, Then as a river is thy peace, And thy righteousness as billows of the sea,

لَوْ أنَّكَ انتَبَهْتَ لِوَصايايَ، لَكانَ سَلامُكَ كَالنَّهرِ، وَخَيرُكَ كَأمواجِ البَحرِ،

19 A nd as sand is thy seed, And the offspring of thy bowels as its gravel, Not cut off nor destroyed his name before Me.

لَكانَ نَسلُكَ كَالتُّرابِ، وَأولادُكِ كَحَبَّاتِ الرَّملِ. فَلا يَزُولُ اسْمُهُمْ، وَلا يَتَلاشَوْنَ مِنْ أمامِي.»

20 G o out from Babylon, flee from the Chaldeans, With a voice of singing declare, Cause ye this to be heard, Bring it forth unto the end of the earth, Say, Redeemed hath Jehovah His servant Jacob.

اخرُجُوا مِنْ بابِلَ، وَاهرُبُوا مِنْ بَينِ الكِلدانِيِّينَ. أعلِنُوا هَذا بِهُتافِ الفَرَحِ. أخبِرُوا بِهِ. أرسِلُوا بِهِ إلَى أقاصِي الأرْضِ. قُولُوا: «فَدَى اللهُ خادِمَهُ يَعقُوبَ.»

21 A nd they have not thirsted in waste places, He hath caused them to go on, Waters from a rock he hath caused to flow to them, Yea, he cleaveth a rock, and flow do waters.

لَمْ يَعطَشُوا عِندَما قادَهُمْ فِي البَرارِي. جَعَلَ الماءَ يَتَدَفَّقُ مِنَ الصَّخرَةِ لأجلِهِمْ. شَقَّ الصَّخرَةَ فَفاضَ الماءُ.

22 T here is no peace, said Jehovah, to the wicked!

وَلَكِنَّ اللهَ يَقُولُ: «لا يُوجَدُ سَلامُ لِلأشرارِ.»
