1 A nd he maketh for himself houses in the city of David, and prepareth a place for the ark of God, and stretcheth out for it a tent.

وَبَنَى داوُدُ بِناياتٍ لِنَفْسِهِ فِي مَدِينَةِ داوُدَ، ثُمَّ أعَدَّ مَكاناً لِصُنْدُوقِ اللهِ، وَنَصَبَ خَيمَةً لَهُ.

2 T hen said David, `None to carry the ark of God, except the Levites, for on them hath Jehovah fixed to carry the ark of God, and to serve Him -- unto the age.'

ثُمَّ قالَ داوُدُ: «لا يَنْبَغِي أنْ يَحْمِلَ صُنْدُوقَ عَهْدِ اللهِ غَيرُ اللّاوِيِّينَ، لِأنَّ اللهَ اختارَهُمْ لِكَي يَحمِلُوا صُنْدُوقَ اللهِ وَيَخدِمُوهُ لِلأبَدِ.»

3 A nd David assembleth all Israel unto Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of Jehovah unto its place that he had prepared for it.

فَجَمَعَ داوُدُ كُلَّ إسْرائِيلَ فِي القُدْسِ لِكَي يُصْعِدُوا صُنْدُوقَ اللهِ إلَى مَكانِهِ الَّذِي أعَدَّهُ لَهُ.

4 A nd David gathereth the sons of Aaron, and the Levites.

وَجَمَعَ داوُدُ بَنِي هارُونَ وَالَّلاوِيِّينَ:

5 O f sons of Kohath: Uriel the chief, and his brethren, a hundred and twenty.

مِنْ بَنِي قَهاتَ: أُورِيئِيلَ الرَّئِيسَ وَمِئَةً وَعِشْرِينَ مِنْ أقارِبِهِ.

6 O f sons of Merari: Asaiah the chief, and his brethren, two hundred and twenty.

مِنْ بَنِي مَرارِي: عَسايا الرَّئِيسَ وَمِئَتَينِ وَعِشْرِينَ مِنْ أقارِبِهِ.

7 O f sons of Gershom: Joel the chief, and his brethren, a hundred and thirty.

مِنْ بَنِي جَرْشُومَ: يُوئِيلَ الرَّئِيسَ وَمِئَةً وَثَلاثِينَ مِنْ أقارِبِهِ.

8 O f sons of Elizaphan: Shemaiah the chief, and his brethren, two hundred.

مِنْ بَنِي ألِيصافانَ: شَمَعْيا الرَّئِيسَ وَمِئَتَينِ مِنْ أقارِبِهِ.

9 O f sons of Hebron: Eliel the chief, and his brethren, eighty.

مِنْ بَنِي حَبْرُونَ: إيلِيئِيلَ الرَّئِيسَ وَثَمانِينَ مِنْ أقارِبِهِ.

10 O f sons of Uzziel: Amminadab the chief, and his brethren, a hundred and twelve.

مِنْ بَنِي عُزِّيئِيلَ: عَمِّينادابَ الرَّئِيسَ وَمِئَةً وَاثْنَي عَشَرَ مِنْ أقارِبِهِ. داوُدُ يُخاطِبُ الكَهَنَةَ وَاللّاوِيّين

11 A nd David calleth to Zadok and to Abiathar the priests, and to the Levites, to Uriel, Asaiah, and Joel, Shemaiah, and Eliel, and Amminadab,

ثُمَّ اسْتَدْعَى داوُدُ صادُوقَ وَأبِياثارَ الكاهِنَيْنِ، وَأُورِيئِيلَ وَعَسايا وَيُوئِيلَ وَشَمَعْيا وَإيلِيئِيلَ وَعَمِّينادابَ اللّاوِيِّينَ.

12 a nd saith to them, `Ye heads of the fathers of the Levites; sanctify yourselves, ye and your brethren, and ye have brought up the ark of Jehovah, God of Israel, unto I have prepared for it;

وَقالَ لَهُمْ: «أنتُمْ رُؤَساءُ عائِلاتِ الَّلاوِيِّينَ. فَعَلَيكُمْ أنتُمْ وَأقْرِباؤُكُمْ أنْ تَتَطَهَّرُوا، لِكَي تُصْعِدُوا صُنْدُوقَ اللهِ ، إلَهِ إسْرائِيلَ، إلَى المَكانِ الَّذِي أعْدَدْتُهُ لَهُ.

13 b ecause at the first not ye, Jehovah our God made a breach upon us, because we sought Him not according to the ordinance.'

لِأنَّكُمْ لَمْ تَكُونُوا مَعْنا فِي المَرَّةِ الأُولَى، وَقَعَ غَضَبُ إلَهِنا عَلَينا، لِأنَّنا لَمْ نَطلُبْ مِنْهُ أنْ يعلِّمَنا الطريقةَ السَّلِيمةَ لنقلِ الصُّنْدُوقِ.»

14 A nd the priests and the Levites sanctify themselves, to bring up the ark of Jehovah, God of Israel;

فَطَهَّرَ الكَهَنَةُ وَالَّلاوِيُّونَ أنفُسَهُمْ، لِكَي يُصْعِدُوا صُنْدُوقَ اللهِ ، إلَهِ إسْرائِيلَ.

15 a nd sons of the Levites bear the ark of God, as Moses commanded, according to the word of Jehovah, on their shoulder, with staves, above them.

فَحَمَلَ الَّلاوِيُّونَ صُنْدُوقَ عَهْدِ اللهِ عَلَى اكتافِهِمْ مُسْتَخدِمِينَ العِصِيَّ كَما سَبَقَ أنْ أمَرَ مُوسَى، حَسَبَ تَعلِيماتِ اللهِ. المُرَنِّمُون

16 A nd David saith to the heads of the Levites to appoint their brethren the singers, with instruments of song, psalteries, and harps, and cymbals, sounding, to lift up with the voice for joy.

وَطَلَبَ داوُدُ أيضاً إلَى رُؤَساءِ الَّلاوِيِّينَ أنْ يُقِيمُوا أقارِبَهُمُ المُرَنِّمِينَ، لِيَرْفَعُوا أصْواتَهُمُ ابْتِهاجاً بِمُصاحَبَةِ آلاتٍ مُوسِيقِيَّةٍ: رَبابٍ وَقَياثِيرَ وَصُنُوجٍ.

17 A nd the Levites appoint Heman son of Joel, and of his brethren, Asaph son of Berechiah, and of the sons of Merari their brethren, Ethan son of Kushaiah;

فَعَيَّنَ الَّلاوِيُّونَ هَيْمانَ بْنَ يُوئِيلَ، وَمِنْ أقارِبِهِ آسافَ بْنَ بَرَخْيا، وَمِنْ أقارِبِهِمِ المَرارِيِّينَ إيثانَ بْنَ قُوشِيّا.

18 a nd with them their brethren, the seconds, Zechariah, Ben, and Jaaziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, Eliab, and Benaiah, and Maaseiah, and Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneiah; and Obed-Edom and Jeiel the gatekeepers;

وَيُساعِدُهُمْ أقارِبُهُمْ مِنَ الفِرقَةِ الثّانِيَةِ زَكَرِيّا وَيَعْزِيئِيلُ وَشَمِيرامُوثُ وَيَحِيئِيلُ وَعُنِّي وَألِيآبُ وَبَنايا وَمَعَسْيا وَمَتَّثْيا وَألِيفَلْيا وَمَقَنْيا وَالبَوّابانِ عُوبِيدُ أدُومُ وَيَعِيئِيلُ.

19 a nd the singers, Heman, Asaph, and Ethan, with cymbals of brass to sound,

فَكانَتْ مَهَمَّةُ المُوسِيقِيِّينَ هَيمانَ وَآسافَ وَإيثانَ أنْ يَقْرَعُوا الصُّنُوجَ.

20 a nd Zechariah, and Aziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jeheil, and Unni, and Eliab, and Maaseiah, and Benaiah, with psalteries besides virgins,

وَمَهَمَّةُ زَكَرِيّا وَعُزِّيئِيلَ وَشَمِيرامُوثَ وَيَحِيئِيلَ وَعُنِّي وَألِيآبَ وَمَعَسْيا وَبَنايا أنْ يَرُدُّوا بِالقَياثِيرَ وَفْقَ لَحنِ عَلامُوثَ.

21 a nd Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneiah, and Obed-Edom, and Jeiel, and Azaziah, with harps, on the octave, to oversee.

وَمَهَمَّةُ مَتَّثْيا وَألِيفَلْيا وَمَقَنْيا وَعُوبِيدَ أدُومَ وَيَعِيئِيلَ وَعَزَرْيا أنْ يَعزِفُوا وَفْقَ لَحنِ الشِّمِينِثِ.

22 A nd Chenaniah, head of the Levites, over the burden; he instructeth about the burden, for he intelligent.

وَمَهَمَّةُ كَنَنْيا، قائِدِ الَّلاوِيِّينَ فِي المُوسِيقَى، أنْ يُوَجِّهَ المُوسِيقَى، لِأنَّهُ كانَ خَبيراً بِها.

23 A nd Berechiah and Elkanah gatekeepers for the ark.

وَكانَ بَرَخْيا وَألقانَةُ بَوّابَيْنَ لِلصُنْدُوقِ.

24 A nd Shebaniah, and Joshaphat, and Nethaneel, and Amasai, and Zechariah, and Benaiah, and Eliezer the priests, are blowing with trumpets before the ark of God; and Obed-Edom and Jehiah gatekeepers for the ark.

وَكَذَلِكَ عُوبِيدُ أدُومُ وَيَحِيَّى كانا بَوّابَينِ أيضاً لِلصُنْدُوقِ. أمّا مَهَمَّةُ الكَهَنَةِ شَبَنْيا وَيَهُوشافاطَ وَنَثْنَئِيلُ وَعَماسايَ وَزَكَرِيّا وَبَنايا وَألِيعَزَرَ فَهِيَ أنْ يَنفُخُوا بِالأبْواقِ أمامَ صُنْدُوقِ عَهْدِ اللهِ.

25 A nd it is David, and the elders of Israel, and the heads of the thousands, who are going to bring up the ark of the covenant of Jehovah from the house of Obed-Edom with joy;

وَكانَ داوُدُ وَشُيُوخُ إسْرائِيلَ، وَقادَةُ الأُلُوفِ فِي طَرِيقِهِمْ لإصْعادِ صُنْدُوقِ عَهْدِ اللهِ مِنْ بَيتِ عُوبِيدَ أدُومَ بابْتِهاجٍ.

26 a nd it cometh to pass, in God's helping the Levites bearing the ark of the covenant of Jehovah, that they sacrifice seven bullocks and seven rams.

وَأعانَ اللهُ الَّلاوِيِّينَ الَّذِينَ كانُوا يَحمِلُونَ صُنْدُوقَ عَهْدِ اللهِ. وَذَبَحُوا للهِ سَبْعَةَ ثِيرانٍ وَسَبْعَةَ كِباشٍ.

27 A nd David is wrapped in an upper robe of fine linen, and all the Levites who are bearing the ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah head of the burden of the singers; and on David an Ephod of linen.

وَكانَ داوُدُ وَكُلُّ الَّلاوِيِّينَ الحامِلِينَ الصُّنْدُوقَ، وَالمُوسِيقِيُّونَ، وَكَنَنْيا قائِدُ المُوسِيقَى يَلْبِسُونَ أردِيَةً كِتّانِيَّةً. وَلَبِسَ داوُدُ رِداءً كِتّانِيّاً.

28 A nd all Israel are bringing up the ark of the covenant of Jehovah with shouting, and with the sound of a cornet, and with trumpets, and with cymbals, sounding with psalteries and harps,

فَأصْعَدَتْ كُلُّ إسْرائِيلَ صُنْدُوقَ عَهْدِ اللهِ بِصَيحاتِ فَرَحٍ، مَعَ صَوْتِ الأصْوارِ وَالأبْواقِ، وَمَعَ الصُّنُوجِ وَالرَبابِ وَالقَياثِيرِ.

29 a nd it cometh to pass, the ark of the covenant of Jehovah is entering in unto the city of David, and Michal daughter of Saul is looking through the window, and seeth king David dancing and playing, and despiseth him in her heart.

وَمَعَ دُخُولِ صُنْدُوقِ عَهدِ اللهِ إلَى مَدِينَةِ داوُدَ، أطَلَّتْ مِيكالُ بِنتُ شاوُلَ مِنَ النّافِذَةِ، فَرَأتْ داوُدَ يَقْفِزُ وَيَرْقُصُ، فَاحْتَقَرَتْهُ فِي قَلْبِها.
