1 A nd lift me up doth a spirit, and it bringeth me in unto the east gate of the house of Jehovah, that is facing the east, and lo, at the opening of the gate twenty and five men, and I see in their midst Jaazaniah son of Azzur, and Pelatiah son of Benaiah, heads of the people.

ثُمَّ رَفَعَتنِي رُوحٌ وَحَمَلَتنِي إلَى البَوّابَةِ الشَرقِيَّةِ لِبَيتِ اللهِ. وَعِندَ البَوّابَةِ، كانَ هُناكَ خَمسَةٌ وَعِشرُونَ رَجُلاً. وَعَرَفتُ مِنْ هَؤلاءِ الرِّجالِ يازَنْيا بْنَ عَزُورَ وَفَلَطْيا بْنَ بَنايا، وَهُما مِنْ رُؤَساءِ الشَّعبِ.

2 A nd He saith unto me, `Son of man, these the men who are devising iniquity, and who are giving evil counsel in this city;

وَقالَ لِي: «يا إنْسانُ، هَؤُلاءِ هُمُ الرِّجالُ الَّذِينَ يُخَطِّطُونَ للِشَرِّ، وَيُقَدِّمُونَ مَشُورَةً شِرِّيرَةً فِي هَذِهِ المَدِينَةِ.

3 w ho are saying, It not near -- to build houses, it the pot, and we the flesh.

يَقُولُونَ عَنِ القُدْسِ: ‹لَنْ تُبنَى بُيُوتٌ فِي الفَترَةِ القَرِيبَةِ القادِمَةِ. هِيَ القِدرُ وَنَحنُ اللَّحمُ.›

4 T herefore prophesy concerning them, prophesy, son of man.'

لِذَلِكَ تَنَبَّأ عَلَيهِمْ وَضِدَّهُمْ، يا إنْسانُ.»

5 A nd fall upon me doth the Spirit of Jehovah, and He saith unto me, `Say: Thus said Jehovah: Rightly ye have said, O house of Israel, And the steps of your spirit I have known.

حِينَئِذٍ، أتَى رُوحُ اللهِ عَلَيَّ وَقالَ لِي: «قُلْ هَكَذا يَقُولُ اللهُ: يا بَيتَ إسْرائِيلَ، إنِّي عالِمٌ بِأفكارِكُمْ وَخُطَطِكُمْ.

6 Y e multiplied your wounded in this city, And filled its out-places with the wounded.

قَدْ زِدتُمْ فِي نَجاسَتِكُمْ فِي هَذِهِ المَدِينَةِ، وَمَلأتُمُ الشَّوارِعَ بِجُثَثِ قَتلاكُمْ.

7 T herefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Your wounded whom ye placed in its midst, They the flesh, and it the pot, And you he hath brought out from its midst.

لِهَذا يَقُولُ الرّبُّ الإلَهُ: جُثَثُكُمُ الَّتِي وَضَعتُمُوها فِي هَذِهِ المَدِينَةِ هِيَ اللَّحمُ، وَالقُدْسُ هِيَ القِدرُ. وَلَكِنَّ اللهَ سَيُخرِجُكُمْ مِنْ تِلكَ القِدرِ.

8 A sword ye have feared, And a sword I bring in against you, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.

أنتُمْ تَخافُونَ السَّيفَ، فَسَأجلِبُ السَّيفَ ضِدَّكُمْ. يَقُولُ الرّبُّ الإلَهُ.

9 A nd I have brought you out of its midst, And given you into the hand of strangers, And I have done among you judgments.

سَأُخرِجُكُمْ مِنَ المَدِينَةِ، وَأضَعُكُمْ فِي أيدِي غُرَباءَ، وَسَأحكُمُ عَلَيكُمْ وَأُنَفِّذُ حُكمِي.

10 B y the sword ye do fall, On the border of Israel I do judge you, And ye have known that I Jehovah.

سَتُقتَلُونَ بِالسَّيفِ، وَسَأُعاقِبُكُمْ فِي كُلِّ أرْضِ إسْرائِيلَ. حِينَئِذٍ، تَعلَمُونَ أنِّي أنا اللهُ.

11 I t is not to you for a pot, Nor are ye in its midst for flesh, At the border of Israel I do judge you.

لَنْ تَكُونَ مَدينَةُ القُدْسِ قِدراً يَحمِيكُمْ، وَلَنْ تَكُونُوا اللَّحمَ فِيها. سَأحكُمُ عَلَيكُمْ فِي كُلِّ أرْضِ إسْرائِيلَ،

12 A nd ye have known that I Jehovah, For in My statutes ye have not walked, And My Judgments ye have not done, And according to the judgments of the nations Who are round about you -- ye have done!'

حِينَئِذٍ، تَعلَمُونَ أنِّي أنا اللهُ الَّذِي لَمْ تُطِيعُوا شَرائِعَهُ وَلَمْ تَحفَظُوا أحكامَهُ، بَلِ اتَّبَعتُمْ عاداتِ وَشَرائِعَ الأُمَمِ المُحِيطَةِ بِكُمْ.»

13 A nd it cometh to pass, at my prophesying, that Pelatiah son of Benaiah is dying, and I fall on my face, and cry -- a loud voice -- and say, `Ah, Lord Jehovah, an end Thou art making of the remnant of Israel.'

وَبَينَما كُنتُ أتَنَبَّأُ، ماتَ فَلَطْيا بْنَ بَنايا. فَوَقَعتُ وَوَجهِي عَلَى الأرْضِ وَصَرَختُ: «آهِ! أيُّها الرَّبُّ الإلَهُ! هَلْ سَتُبِيدُ كُلَّ بَقِيَّةِ إسْرائِيلَ؟» نبوّاتٌ ضدَّ الباقينَ في القدس

14 A nd there is a word of Jehovah unto me, saying,

حِينَئِذٍ، أتَتْ إلَيَّ كَلِمَةُ اللهِ:

15 ` Son of man, thy brethren, thy brethren, men of thy kindred, and all the house of Israel -- all of it, they to whom inhabitants of Jerusalem have said, Keep far off from Jehovah;

«يا إنْسانُ، إنَّ الَّذِينَ ما زالُوا يَسكُنُونَ القُدْسَ يَتَكَلَّمُونَ بِشُرُورٍ عَلَى إخْوَتِكَ وَأقرِبائِكَ وَكُلِّ بَيتِ إسْرائِيلَ، فَيَقُولُونَ: ‹قَدِ ابتَعَدُوا كَثِيراً عَنْ مَحضَرِ اللهِ. لِذَلِكَ فَقَدْ أُعطِيَتِ الأرْضُ لَنا.›

16 i t ours, the land hath been given for an inheritance; therefore say: Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Because I put them afar off among nations, And because I scattered them through lands, I also am to them for a little sanctuary, In lands whither they have gone in.

فَقُلْ لِلمَسبِيِّينَ: ‹يَقُولُ الرّبُّ الإلَهُ: صَحِيحٌ أنِّي طَرَدتُكُمْ إلَى الأُمَمِ الأُخرَى، وَشَتَّتُّكُمْ فِي البِلادِ. لَكِنَّنِي سَأكُونُ هَيكَلَهُمْ لِفَترَةٍ قَصِيرَةٍ فِي البِلادِ الَّتِي هُمْ فِيها الآنَ.»

17 T herefore say: Thus said the Lord Jehovah: And I have assembled you from the peoples, And I have gathered you from the lands, Into which ye have been scattered, And I have given to you the ground of Israel.

لِذَلِكَ قُلْ لَهُمْ: يَقُولُ الرّبُّ الإلَهُ: سَأجمَعُكُمْ مِنْ كُلِّ الشُّعُوبِ وَالأراضِي الَّتِي شَتَّتُّكُمْ فِيها. وَسَأُعطِيكُمْ أرْضَ إسْرائِيلَ.

18 A nd they have gone in thither. And turned aside all its detestable things, And all its abominations -- out of it.

وَحِينَ يَعُودُونَ إلَى أرْضِهِمْ: سَيُزِيلُونَ كُلَّ النَّجاساتِ وَالخَطايا المَمقُوتَةِ.

19 A nd I have given to them one heart, And a new spirit I do give in your midst, And I have turned the heart of stone out of their flesh, And I have given to them a heart of flesh.

وَسَأُعطِيهُمْ قَلباً مُوَحَّداً، وَأضَعُ رُوحاً جَدِيدَةً فِيهِمْ! وَسَأنزِعُ القَلبَ الحَجَرِيَّ مِنهُمْ، وَأُعطِيهِمْ قَلباً لَحمِيّاً،

20 S o that in My statutes they walk, And My judgments they keep, and have done them, And they have been to me for a people, And I am to them for God.

لِيَتبَعُوا شَرائِعِي وَيَحفَظُوا فَرائِضِي. حِينَئِذٍ، سَيَكُونُونَ شَعبِي، وَأنا سَأكُونُ لَهُمْ إلَهاً.

21 A s to those whose heart is going unto the heart Of their detestable and their abominable things, Their way on their head I have put, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.'

أمّا الَّذِينَ تَقُودُهُمْ قُلُوبُهُمْ إلَى النَّجاساتِ وَالخَطايا الكَرِيهَةِ، فَسَأُعاقِبُهُمْ عَلَى أعْمالِهِمْ.›» يَقُولُ الرّبُّ الإلَهُ.

22 A nd the cherubs lift up their wings, and the wheels over-against them, and the honour of the God of Israel over them above.

ثُمَّ رَفَعَتْ مَلائِكَةُ الكَرُوبِيمَ. أجنِحَتَها وَارتَفَعَتْ وَدَوالِيبُها بِجانِبِها، وَمَجدُ إلَهِ إسْرائِيلَ عَلَيهِا.

23 A nd the honour of Jehovah goeth up from off the midst of the city, and standeth on the mountain, that on the east of the city.

فَارتَفَعَ مَجدُ اللهِ وَتَرَكَ المَدِينَةَ، وَاستَقَرَّ عَلَى الجَبَلِ الواقِعِ شَرقَ المَدِينَةِ.

24 A nd a spirit hath lifted me up, and bringeth me in to Chaldea, unto the Removed, in a vision, by the Spirit of God, and go up from off me doth the vision that I have seen;

حِينَئِذٍ، وَبَيْنَما كُنْتُ أرَى الرُّؤيا الَّتِي أراها لِيَ رُوحُ اللهِ، رَفَعَتْنِي رُوحٌ وَحَمَلَتْنِي إلَى المَسبِيِّينَ فِي أرْضِ الكَلْدانِيِّينَ. وَعِندَئِذٍ ارتَفَعَتْ عَنِّي الرُّؤيا.

25 a nd I speak unto the Removed all the matters of Jehovah that He hath shewed me.

فَأخبَرتُ المَسبِيِّينَ بِكُلِّ ما أراهُ اللهُ لِي، وَتَكَلَّمَ بِهِ إلَيَّ.
