1 T he burden of a word of Jehovah on Israel. An affirmation of Jehovah, Stretching out heaven, and founding earth, And forming the spirit of man in his midst.

وَحيٌ مِنَ اللهِ بِشَأْنِ إسْرائِيلَ. يَقُولُ اللهُ الَّذِي صَنَعَ السَّماواتِ وَأسَّسَ الأرْضَ وَجَبَلَ رُوحَ الإنسانِ فِي داخِلِهِ:

2 L o, I am making Jerusalem a cup of reeling To all the peoples round about, And also against Judah it is, In the siege against Jerusalem.

«ها إنِّي سَأُحَوِّلُ القُدْسَ إلَى كَأْسٍ تَتَرَنَّحُ الشُّعُوبُ المُجاوِرَةُ بِهِ. سَتُحاصَرُ يَهُوذا كُلُّها حِينَ تُحاصَرُ القُدْسِ.

3 A nd it hath come to pass, in that day, I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone to all the peoples, All loading it are completely pressed down, And gathered against it have been all nations of the earth.

فِي ذَلِكَ الوَقتِ، سَأُحَوِّلُ مَدينَةَ القُدْسِ إلَى صَخْرَةٍ ثَقِيلَةٍ لِكُلِّ الشُّعُوبِ. وَكُلُّ الَّذِينَ سَيُحاوِلُونَ حَملَها سَيَتَأذَّوْنَ جِدّاً. وَسَتَجتَمِعُ كُلُّ أُمَمُ الأرْضِ ضِدَّها.»

4 I n that day -- an affirmation of Jehovah, I do smite every horse with astonishment, And its rider with madness, And on the house of Judah I open My eyes, And every horse of the peoples I smite with blindness.

يَقُولُ اللهُ: «فِي ذَلِكَ الوَقتِ، سَأجلِبُ الاضْطِرابَ عَلَى كُلِّ حِصانٍ، وَسَأُسَبِّبُ الجُنُونَ لِكُلِّ فارِسٍ. سَأفْتَحُ عُيُونَ بَنِي يَهُوذا، لَكِنِّي سَأعمِي أحْصِنةَ الشُّعُوبِ.

5 A nd leaders of Judah have said in their heart, `Strength to me the inhabitants of Jerusalem, In Jehovah of Hosts their God.'

وَسَيَقُولُ القادَةُ المَحَلِّيُّونَ فِي يَهُوذا في أنْفُسِهِمْ: ‹سُكّانُ مَدينَةِ القُدْسِ أقوِياءُ بِسَبَبِ إلَهِهِمُ القديرِ.›

6 I n that day I make the leaders of Judah As a hearth of fire among trees, And as a torch of fire in a sheaf, And they have consumed -- on the right and on the left -- all the peoples round about, And Jerusalem hath inhabited again her place in Jerusalem.

فِي ذَلِكَ الوَقتِ، سَأجعَلُ قادَةَ يَهُوذا كَمَوقِدٍ وَسَطَ كَوْمَةٍ مِنَ الخَشَبِ، وَكَمِشْعَلٍ فِي حُزْمَةٍ مِنَ القَمْحٍ. سَيَأْكُلُونَ كُلَّ الشُّعُوبِ السّاكِنَةِ حَولَهُمْ، فِي الجَنُوبِ وَالشَّمالِ. وَسَيَعُودُ سُكّانُ القُدْسِ إلَى السَّكَنِ فِيها.»

7 A nd saved hath Jehovah the tents of Judah first, So that become not great against Judah Doth the beauty of the house of David, And the beauty of the inhabitant of Jerusalem.

سَيُنقِذُ اللهُ خِيامَ يَهُوذا فِي البِدايَةِ، لِئَلّا يَزيدَ مَجْدُ عائِلَةِ داوُدَ وَسُكّانَ مَدينَةِ القُدْسِ عَنْ مَجْدِ قَبِيلَةِ يَهُوذا.

8 I n that day cover over doth Jehovah the inhabitant of Jerusalem, And the stumbling among them hath been in that day as David, And the house of David as God -- As a messenger of Jehovah -- before them.

فِي ذَلِكَ الوَقتِ، سَيَكُونُ اللهُ تُرْساً لِسُكّانِ القُدْسِ. فَمَنْ كانَ ضَعِيفاً فِي ذَلِكَ الوَقتِ سَيَصِيرُ قَوِيّاً كَداوُدَ. وَعائِلَةُ داوُدَ سَتَصِيرُ كَاللهِ، كَمَلاكِ اللهِ أمامَهُمْ.

9 A nd it hath come to pass, in that day, I seek to destroy all the nations Who are coming in against Jerusalem,

يَقُولُ اللهُ: «فِي ذَلِكَ الوَقتِ، سَأعمَلُ علَى تَدمِيرِ كُلِّ الأُمَمِ الآتِيَةِ ضِدَّ مَدينَةِ القُدْسِ.

10 A nd I have poured on the house of David, And on the inhabitant of Jerusalem, A spirit of grace and supplications, And they have looked unto Me whom they pierced, And they have mourned over it, Like a mourning over the only one, And they have been in bitterness for it, Like a bitterness over the first-born.

سَأسكُبُ عَلَى عائِلَةِ داوُدَ وَسُكّانِ مَدينَةِ القُدْسِ رُوحَ إحْسانٍ وَرَحْمَةٍ. وَسَيَنظُرُ النّاسُ إلَى ذاكَ الَّذِي طَعَنُوهُ، وَسَيَنُوحُونَ عَلَيهِ كَما لَوْ أنَّهُمْ يَنُوحُونَ عَلَى مَوْتِ ابْنٍ وَحِيدٍ، وَسَتَكُونُ أرواحُهُمْ مُرَّةً كَمَنْ فَقَدُوا ابنَهُمُ البِكرَ.

11 I n that day, great is the mourning of Jerusalem, As the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon,

«فِي ذَلِكَ الوَقتِ، سَيَكُونُ نُواحُ مَدينَةِ القُدْسِ عَظِيماً، كَالنُّواحِ الَّذِي حَدَثَ لِهَدَدْ رَمُّونَ فِي وادِي مَجِدُّو.

12 A nd mourned hath the land -- every family apart, The family of the house of David apart, And their women apart; The family of the house of Nathan apart, And their women apart;

سَتَنُوحُ أرْضُ يَهُوذا كُلُّ عائِلَةٍ وَحدَها: رِجالُ عائِلَةِ داوُدَ سَيَنُوحَونَ وَحدَهُمْ، وَنِساؤُهُمْ وَحدَهُنَّ. رِجالُ عائِلَةِ ناثانَ سَيَنُوحَونَ وَحدَهُمْ، وَنِساؤُهُمْ وَحدَهُنَّ.

13 T he family of the house of Levi apart, And their women apart; The family of Shimei apart, And their women apart,

رِجالُ عائِلَةِ لاوِي وَحدَهُمْ، وَنِساؤُهُمْ وَحدَهُنَّ، وَرِجالُ عائِلَةِ شَمْعَى وَحدَهُمْ، وَنِساؤُهُمْ وَحدَهُنَّ.

14 A ll the families that are left, Every family apart, and their women apart!

وَكَذَلِكَ فِي كُلِّ العائِلاتِ الباقِيَةِ، سَيَنُوحُ الرِّجالُ وَحدِهُمْ، وَنِساؤُهُمْ وَحدَهُنَّ.»
