1 A nd all the company of the sons of Israel are assembled Shiloh, and they cause the tent of meeting to tabernacle there, and the land hath been subdued before them.

وَاجتَمَعَ كُلُّ بَنِي إسْرائِيلَ فِي شِيلُوهَ وَنَصَبُوا خَيمَةَ الاجْتِماعِ هُناكَ. وَكانَتِ الأرْضُ تَحتَ سَيطَرَتِهِمْ.

2 A nd there are left among the sons of Israel who have not shared their inheritance, seven tribes,

وَبَقِيَتْ سَبعُ قَبائِلَ مِنَ بَنِي إسْرائِيلَ لَمْ تَنَلْ نَصِيبَها.

3 a nd Joshua saith unto the sons of Israel, `Till when are ye remiss to go in to possess the land which He hath given to you, Jehovah, God of your fathers?

فَقالَ يَشُوعُ لِبَنِي إسْرائِيلَ: «إلَى مَتَى تَتَكاسَلُونَ عَنِ الدُّخُولِ لامتِلاكِ الأرْضِ الَّتِي أعطاها لَكُمُ اللهُ إلَهُ آبائِكُمْ؟

4 G ive for you three men for a tribe, and I send them, and they rise and go up and down through the land, and describe it according to their inheritance, and come in unto me,

عَيِّنُوا ثَلاثَةَ رِجالٍ مِنْ كُلِّ عَشِيرَةٍ، فَأُرسِلُهُمْ لِيَجُولُوا الأرْضَ كُلَّها، وَيَكتُبُوا وَصفاً لَها بِحَسَبِ مِيراثِهِمْ، ثُمَّ يَعُودُونَ إلِيَّ.

5 a nd they have divided it into seven portions -- Judah doth stay by its border on the south, and the house of Joseph do stay by their border on the north --

وَليُقَسِّمُوا الأرْضَ الباقِيَةَ إلَى سَبْعَةِ أقسامٍ. سَيَبقَى يَهُوذا فِي أرْضِهِ فِي الجَنُوبِ، وَسَيَبقَى شَعبُ يُوسُفَ فِي أرْضِهِ فِي الشِّمالِ.

6 a nd ye describe the land seven portions, and have brought in unto me hither, and I have cast for you a lot here before Jehovah our God;

وَسَتَكتُبُونَ وَصْفاً لِلحِصَصِ السَّبعِ مِنَ الأرْضِ ثُمَّ تَأتُونَ بِهِ إلَيَّ. وَأنا سَأُلقِي قُرْعَةً لَكُمْ هُنا فِي حَضْرَةِ إلَهِنا ، لِتَقرِيرِ حِصَّةِ كُلِّ عَشِيرَةٍ.

7 f or there is no portion to the Levites in your midst, for the priesthood of Jehovah their inheritance, and Gad, and Reuben, and the half of the tribe of Manasseh received their inheritance beyond the Jordan eastward, which Moses servant of Jehovah gave to them.'

لَكِنْ لَنْ يَكُونَ لِلّاوِيِّينَ حِصَّةٌ فِي الأرْضِ بَينَكُمْ لِأنَّ كَهَنُوتَ اللهِ هُوَ مِيراثُهُمْ. وَأمّا جادُ وَرَأُوبَيْنَ وَنِصْفُ قَبِيلَةِ مَنَسَّى فَقَدْ أخَذُوا مِيراثَهُمْ فِي الجِهَةِ الشَّرقِيَّةِ مِنَ نَهْرِ الأُردُنِّ الَّذِي أعطاهُ مُوسَى خادِمُ اللهِ لَهُمْ.»

8 A nd the men rise and go; and Joshua commandeth those who are going to describe the land, saying, `Go, and walk up and down through the land, and describe it, and turn back unto me, and here I cast for you a lot before Jehovah in Shiloh.'

فانطَلَقَ الرِّجالُ فِي رِحلَتِهِمْ. وَأعطَى يَشُوعُ هَذا الأمرَ لِلَّذِينَ ذَهَبُوا لِيَكتُبُوا وَصْفاً لِلأرْضِ: «اذْهَبُوا وَسَيرُوا فِي كُلِّ الأرْضِ، وَاكتُبُوا وَصفاً لَها، ثُمَّ عُودُوا إلَيَّ. حِينَئِذٍ، سَأُلقِي قُرَعَةً لَكُمْ هُنا فِي شِيلُوهُ فِي حَضْرَةِ اللهِ.»

9 A nd the men go, and pass over through the land, and describe it by cities, in seven portions, on a book, and they come in unto Joshua, unto the camp, Shiloh.

فانطَلَقَ الرِّجالُ وَجالُوا فِي الأرْضِ، وَكَتَبُوا فِي كِتابٍ وَصْفاً لَها بَمُدُنِها فِي سَبعَةِ أقسامٍ. ثُمَّ عادُوا إلَى يَشُوعَ فِي المَخَيَّمِ فَي شِيلُوهَ.

10 A nd Joshua casteth for them a lot in Shiloh before Jehovah, and there Joshua apportioneth the land to the sons of Israel, according to their divisions.

وَهُناكَ، ألقَى يَشُوعُ قُرَعَةً بَينَهُمْ فِي حَضْرَةِ اللهِ. وَقَسَّمَ الأرْضَ لِبَنِي إسْرائِيلَ بِحَسَبِ حِصَصِهِمْ. أرْضُ بَنْيامِيْن

11 A nd a lot goeth up the tribe of the sons of Benjamin, for their families; and the border of their lot goeth out between the sons of Judah and the sons of Joseph.

وَكانَتْ قُرْعَةُ قَبِيلَةِ بَنْيامِيْنَ بِحَسَبِ عَشائرِها القُرْعَةَ الأُولى. وَكانَتِ الأرْضُ الَّتِي أُعطِيَتْ لَهُمْ بَينَ قَبِيلَتَي يَهُوذا وَيُوسُفَ.

12 A nd the border is to them at the north side from the Jordan, and the border hath gone up unto the side of Jericho on the north, and gone up through the hill-country westward, and its outgoings have been at the wilderness of Beth-Aven;

وَيَبدَأُ حَدُّهُمُ الشِّمالِيُّ عِندَ نَهْرِ الأُردُنِّ، وَيَصْعَدُ إلَى المُنحَدَرِ الَّذِي شَمالَ أرِيحا، ثُمَّ يَصْعَدُ إلَى المِنطَقَةِ الجَبَلِيَّةِ غَرباً، وَيَنتَهِي عِندَ بَرِّيَّةِ بَيتِ آوِنَ.

13 a nd the border hath gone over thence to Luz, unto the side of Luz (it Beth-El) southward, and the border hath gone down Atroth-Addar, by the hill that on the south of the lower Beth-Horon;

وَمِنْ هُناكَ يَمْتَدُّ الحَدُّ إلَى الجانِبِ الجَنُوبِيِّ مِنْ لُوْزَ، الَّتِي هِيَ بَيْتُ إيلَ. ثُمَّ يَنزِلُ الحَدُّ إلَى عَطارُوتَ إدّارَ الَّتِي فِي المِنطَقَةِ الجَبَلِيَّةِ جَنُوبَ بَيْتِ حَورُونَ السُّفلَى.

14 a nd the border hath been marked out, and hath gone round to the corner of the sea southward, from the hill which at the front of Beth-Horon southward, and its outgoings have been unto Kirjath-Baal (it Kirjath-Jearim), a city of the sons of Judah: this the west quarter.

ثُمَّ يَمْتَدُّ الحَدُّ إلَى الجِهَةِ الغَربِيَّةِ وَيَتَّجِهُ نَحْوَ الجَنُوبِ مِنَ الجَبَلِ الواقِعِ جَنُوبَ بَيتِ حُورُونَ، وَيَنتَهِي فِي قَرْياتِ بَعلٍ، الَّتِي هِيَ قَرياتُ يَعارِيمَ، وَهِيَ مَدِينَةٌ لِعَشِيرَةِ يَهُوذا. هَذا هُوَ الحَدُّ الغَربِيُّ لَهُمْ.

15 A nd the south quarter from the end of Kirjath-Jearim, and the border hath gone out westward, and gone out unto the fountain of the waters of Nephtoah;

وَيَبدأُ الحَدُّ الجَنُوبِيُّ عِنْدَ طَرَفِ قَرْياتِ يَعارِيمَ، ثُمَّ يَعبُرُ الوادِي إلَى نَبْعِ مِياهِ نَفتُوحَ.

16 a nd the border hath come down unto the extremity of the hill which on the front of the valley of the son of Hinnom, which in the valley of the Rephaim northward, and hath gone down the valley of Hinnom unto the side of Jebusi southward, and gone down En-Rogel,

ثُمَّ يَنزِلُ الحَدُّ إلَى أسفَلِ الجَبَلِ المُقابِلِ لابْنِ هِنَّومَ الواقِعِ إلَى الشِّمالِ مِنْ وادِي رِفائِيمَ، وَيَنزِلُ إلَى وادِي هِنُّومَ جَنُوبَ طَرَفِ اليَبُوسِيِّينَ وَيَنزِلُ إلَى عَينِ رُوجَلَ.

17 a nd hath been marked out on the north, and gone out to En-Shemesh, and gone out unto Geliloth, which over-against the ascent of Adummim, and gone down the stone of Bohan son of Reuben,

ثُمَّ يَمْتَدُّ إلَى الشِّمالِ وَيَعبُرُ الوادِي إلَى عَينِ شَمْسٍ، ثُمَّ يَعبُرُ الوادِي إلَى جَلِيلُوتَ الواقِعَةِ مُقابِلَ مَمَرِّ أدُومِّيمَ، وَيَنزِلُ إلَى حَجَرِ بُوهَنَ بْنِ رَأُوبَيْنَ.

18 a nd passed over unto the side over-against Arabah northward, and gone down to Arabah;

ثُمَّ يَمْتَدُّ إلَى الشِّمالِ، إلَى المُنحَدَرِ المُقابِلِ لِوادِي الأُردُنِّ، وَيَنزِلُ إلَى وادِي الأُردُنِّ.

19 a nd the border hath passed over unto the side of Beth-Hoglah northward, and the outgoings of the border have been unto the north bay of the salt sea, unto the south extremity of the Jordan; this the south border;

ثُمَّ يَدُورُ الحَدُّ إلَى الحافَّةِ الشِّمالِيَّةِ لِبَيتِ حُجلَةَ، وَيَنتَهِي عِنْدَ الخَلِيجِ الشِّمالِيِّ لِبَحْرِ المِلحِ عِندَ الطَّرَفِ الجَنُوبِيِّ لِنَهْرِ الأردُنِّ. هَذا هُوَ الحَدُّ الجَنُوبِيُّ.

20 a nd the Jordan doth border it at the east quarter; this the inheritance of the sons of Benjamin, by its borders round about, for their families.

وَنَهرُ الأُردُنِّ هُوَ الحَدُّ الشَّرقِيُّ لِأرْضِهِمْ. هَذا هُوَ مِيراثُ عَشائِرِ بَنْيامِيْنَ بِحَسَبِ حُدُودِهِ مِنْ جَمِيعِ جِهاتِهِ.

21 A nd the cities for the tribe of the sons of Benjamin, for their families, have been Jericho, and Beth-Hoglah, and the valley of Keziz,

وَأمّا المُدُنُ الَّتِي كانَتْ لِقَبِيلَةِ بَنْيامِيْنَ وَعَشائِرِهِا فَكانَتْ: أرِيحا وَبَيتَ حُجلَةَ وَعِمِقَ قَصِيصَ،

22 a nd Beth-Arabah, Zemaraim, and Beth-El,

وَبَيتَ العَرَبَةِ وَصَمارِيمَ وَبَيتَ إيلَ،

23 a nd Avim, and Parah, and Ophrah,

وَالعَوِّيمَ وَالفارَةَ وَعَفْرَةَ،

24 a nd Chephar-Haammonai, and Ophni, and Gaba; twelve cities and their villages.

وَكَفْرَ العَمُّونِيِّ وَالعُفْنِيِّ وَجَبَعَ. وَمَجمُوعُها اثنَتا عَشْرَةَ مَدِينَةً مَعَ قُراها.

25 G ibeon, and Ramah, and Beeroth,

وَجِبْعُونَ وَالرّامَةَ وَبَئِيرُوتَ،

26 a nd Mizpeh, and Chephirah, and Mozah,

وَالمِصْفاةَ وَالكَفِيرَةَ وَالمُوصَةَ

27 a nd Rekem, and Irpeel, and Taralah,

وَراقه وَيَرْفِئِيلَ وَتَرالَةَ

28 a nd Zelah, Eleph, and Jebusi (it Jerusalem), Gibeath, Kirjath: fourteen cities and their villages. This the inheritance of the sons of Benjamin, for their families.

وَصَيلَعَ وَآلَفَ وَمَدِينَةَ اليَبُوسِيِّينَ، أي مَدينَةِ القُدْسِ، وَجِبْعَةَ وَقَرْياتَ. وَمَجْمُوعُها أربَعَ عَشْرَةَ مَدِينَةً مَعَ قُراها. هَذا هُوَ مِيراثُ قَبِيلَةِ بَنْيامِيْنَ بِحَسَبِ عَشائِرِها.
