1 A nd having risen thence, he doth come to the coasts of Judea, through the other side of the Jordan, and again do multitudes come together unto him, and, as he had been accustomed, again he was teaching them.

ثُمَّ غادَرَ يَسُوعُ ذَلِكَ المَكانَ، وَجاءَ إلَى إقليمِ اليَهُودِيَّةِ، وَمَناطِقِ ما وَراءَ نَهْرِ الأُردُنِّ. وَاجتَمَعَ النّاسُ حَولَهُ مِنْ جَديدٍ، فَأخَذَ يُعَلِّمُهُمْ كَعادَتِهِ.

2 A nd the Pharisees, having come near, questioned him, if it is lawful for a husband to put away a wife, tempting him,

وَجاءَ إلَيهِ بَعضُ الفِرِّيسِيِّينَ وَسَألُوهُ: «أيَجوزُ أنْ يُطَلِّقَ الرَّجُلُ زَوجَتَهُ؟» سَألُوهُ هَذا لِكَي يَصْطادُوهُ فِي أيِّ خَطَأ.

3 a nd he answering said to them, `What did Moses command you?'

فَأجابَهُمْ يَسُوعُ: «ما الَّذِي أمَرَكُمْ بِهِ مُوسَى؟»

4 a nd they said, `Moses suffered to write a bill of divorce, and to put away.'

فَقالوا: «مُوسَى سَمَحَ لَلرَّجُلِ بِأنْ يُطَلِّقَ زَوجَتَهُ بَعْدَ أنْ يُعطِيَها وَثيقَةَ طَلاقٍ.

5 A nd Jesus answering said to them, `For the stiffness of your heart he wrote you this command,

فَقالَ لَهُمْ يَسُوعُ: «كَتَبَ مُوسَىْ هَذَهِ الوَصِيَّةَ بِسَبَبِ قُلُوبِكُمُ القاسِيَةِ!

6 b ut from the beginning of the creation, a male and a female God did make them;

وَلَكِنَّ اللهَ مُنذُ بِدايَةِ الخَليقَةِ ‹خَلَقَ النّاسَ ذَكَراً وَأُنثَى؟› ثُمَّ قالَ:

7 o n this account shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall cleave unto his wife,

‹لِهَذا يَترُكُ الرَّجُلُ أباهُ وَأُمَّهُ، وَيَتَّحِدُّ بِزَوجَتِهِ،

8 a nd they shall be -- the two -- for one flesh; so that they are no more two, but one flesh;

فَيَصِيرَ الاثنانِ جَسَداً واحِداً.› وَبِهَذا لا يَكُونانِ فِيما بَعْدُ اثْنَينِ، بَلْ واحِداً.

9 w hat therefore God did join together, let not man put asunder.'

فَلا يَنبَغِي أنْ يَفصِلَ أحَدٌ بَينَ مَنْ جَمَعَهُما اللهُ.»

10 A nd in the house again his disciples of the same thing questioned him,

وَعِندَما كانُوا فِي البَيتِ، سَألَهُ تَلامِيذُهُ عَنْ هَذا الأمْرِ مُجَدَّداً.

11 a nd he saith to them, `Whoever may put away his wife, and may marry another, doth commit adultery against her;

فَأجابَهُمْ يَسُوعُ: «كُلُّ مَنْ يُطَلِّقُ زَوجَتَهُ وَيَتَزَوَّجُ بِأُخرَى، يَرتَكِبُ الزِّنَى ضِدَّ زَوجَتِهِ.

12 a nd if a woman may put away her husband, and is married to another, she committeth adultery.'

وَإنْ طَلَّقَتْ هِيَ رَجُلَها، وَتَزَوَّجَتْ بِآخَرَ، فَإنَّها تَزْنيْ.» يَسُوعُ يَقبَلُ الأطفال

13 A nd they were bringing to him children, that he might touch them, and the disciples were rebuking those bringing them,

وَكانَ النّاسُ يُحضِرُونَ إلَيهِ الأطْفالَ لِيَلْمَسَهُمْ، وَأمّا التَّلامِيذُ فَكانُوا يُوَبِّخُونَهُمْ.

14 a nd Jesus having seen, was much displeased, and he said to them, `Suffer the children to come unto me, and forbid them not, for of such is the reign of God;

وَعِندَما رَأى يَسُوعُ ذَلِكَ، غَضِبَ، وَقالَ لَهُمْ: «دَعُوا الأطفالَ يَأتُونَ إلَيَّ، وَلا تَمنَعُوهُمْ عَنِّي، لِأنَّ لِمِثلِ هَؤُلاءِ مَلَكُوتَ اللهِ.

15 v erily I say to you, whoever may not receive the reign of God, as a child -- he may not enter into it;'

أقُولُ لَكُمُ الحَقَّ، إنَّ مَنْ لا يَقبَلُ مَلَكُوتَ اللهِ كَطِفلٍ، لَنْ يَدخُلَهُ.»

16 a nd having taken them in his arms, having put hands upon them, he was blessing them.

وَدَعا يَسُوعُ الأطفالَ وَضَمَّهُمْ إلَيهِ، وَوَضَعَ يَدَيهِ عَلَيهِمْ، وَبارَكَهُمْ. عائِقُ الغِنَى

17 A nd as he is going forth into the way, one having run and having kneeled to him, was questioning him, `Good teacher, what may I do, that life age-during I may inherit?'

وَبَينَما كانَ يَسُوعُ فِي إحدَى جَولاتِهِ، أسرَعَ إلَيهِ رَجُلٌ وَسَجَدَ أمامَهُ وَسَألَهُ: «أيُّها المُعَلِّمُ الصّالِحُ، ماذا يَنبَغي أنْ أفعَلَ لِكَي أنالَ الحَياةَ الأبَدِيَّةَ؟»

18 A nd Jesus said to him, `Why me dost thou call good? no one good except One -- God;

فَقالَ لَهُ يَسُوعُ: «لِماذا تَدعُونِي صالِحاً؟ أتَعرِفُ أنَّهُ لا صالِحَ إلّا اللهُ؟

19 t he commands thou hast known: Thou mayest not commit adultery, Thou mayest do no murder, Thou mayest not steal, Thou mayest not bear false witness, Thou mayest not defraud, Honour thy father and mother.'

أنتَ تَعرِفُ الوَصايا: ‹لا تَقتُلْ، لا تَزْنِ، لا تَسرِقْ، لا تَشْهَدْ زوراً، لا تَحتَلْ عَلَى أحَدٍ، أكْرِمْ أباكَ وَأُمَّكَ.›»

20 A nd he answering said to him, `Teacher, all these did I keep from my youth.'

فَقالَ لَهُ الرَّجُلُ: «يا مُعَلِّمُ، أنا أُطِيعُ كُلَّ هَذِهِ مُنذُ صِبايَ.»

21 A nd Jesus having looked upon him, did love him, and said to him, `One thing thou dost lack; go away, whatever thou hast -- sell, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven, and come, be following me, having taken up the cross.'

أمّا يَسُوعُ فَنَظَرَ إلَيهِ بِحُبٍّ وَقالَ: «يَنقُصُكَ شَيءٌ واحِدٌ فَقَطْ: اذْهَبْ وَبِعْ كُلِّ ما تَملِكُ وَأعطِ الفُقَراءَ. بِهَذا تَملِكُ كَنزاً فِي السَّماءِ، ثُمَّ تَعالَ اتبَعْنِي.»

22 A nd he -- gloomy at the word -- went away sorrowing, for he was having many possessions.

فَبَدَتْ خَيبَةُ الأمَلِ عَلَى الرَّجُلِ بَعْدَ أنْ سَمِعَ هَذا، وَذَهَبَ حَزِيناً لِأنَّهُ كانَ غَنِيّاً جِدّاً.

23 A nd Jesus having looked round, saith to his disciples, `How hardly shall they who have riches enter into the reign of God!'

فَنَظَرَ يَسُوعُ إلَى تَلامِيذِهِ وَقالَ لَهُمْ: «ما أصعَبَ أنْ يَدخُلَ أصحابُ الأموالِ مَلَكُوتَ اللهِ!»

24 A nd the disciples were astonished at his words, and Jesus again answering saith to them, `Children, how hard is it to those trusting on the riches to enter into the reign of God!

فَاندَهَشَ التَّلامِيذُ مِنْ كَلامِهِ. لَكِنَّهُ تابَعَ وَقالَ: «يا أبنائِي، ما أصَعْبَ دُخُولُ مَلَكوتِ اللهِ!

25 I t is easier for a camel through the eye of the needle to enter, than for a rich man to enter into the reign of God.'

أنْ يَمُرَّ جَمَلٌ مِنْ ثُقبِ إبرَةٍ، أيسَرُ مِنْ أنْ يَدخُلَ غَنِيٌّ مَلَكُوتَ اللهِ.»

26 A nd they were astonished beyond measure, saying unto themselves, `And who is able to be saved?'

فَازْدادَ التَّلامِيذُ دَهْشَةً وَكانُوا يَقُولُونَ: «فَمَنْ يُمكِنُ أنْ يَخلُصَ إذاً؟»

27 A nd Jesus, having looked upon them, saith, `With men it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God.'

فَنَظَرَ يَسُوعُ إلَيْهِمْ وَقالَ: «هَذا مُستَحِيلٌ عِنْدَ النّاسِ، لِكَنْ لَيسَ عِنْدَ اللهِ، لأنَّ كُلُّ الأشياءِ مُمكِنَةٌ عِنْدَ اللهِ.»

28 A nd Peter began to say to him, `Lo, we left all, and we followed thee.'

فَأخَذَ بُطرُسُ يَقُولُ: «ها نَحنُ قَدْ تَرَكنا كُلَّ شَيءٍ لِكَيْ نَتبَعَكَ!»

29 A nd Jesus answering said, `Verily I say to you, there is no one who left house, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or fields, for my sake, and for the good news',

فَقالَ يَسُوعُ: «أقُولُ لَكُمُ الحَقَّ، مَنْ تَرَكَ بَيتاً أوْ إخْوَةً أوْ أخَواتٍ أوْ أُمّاً أوْ أباً أوْ أبناءً مِنْ أجليْ وَمِنْ أَجلِ إعلانِ البِشارَةِ،

30 w ho may not receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brothers, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and fields, with persecutions, and in the age that is coming, life age-during;

سَيَنالُ مِئَةَ ضِعفٍ فِي هَذا الزَّمانِ: بُيُوتاً وَإخوَةً وَأخَواتٍ وَأُمَّهاتٍ وَأبناءً وَحُقُولاً، حَتَّى فِي وَسَطِ الاضْطِّهادِ. وَسَيَحيا فِي الحَياةِ الآتِيَةِ مَعَ اللهِ إلَى الأبَدِ.

31 a nd many first shall be last, and the last first.'

فكَثيرونَ هُمْ أوَّلُ النّاسِ الَّذينَ سَيَصيرونَ آخِرَ النّاسِ، وَكَثيرونَ هُمْ آخِرُ النّاسِ الَّذينَ سَيَصيرونَ أوَّلَ النّاسِ.» يَسُوعُ يُنبئُ بِمَوتِهِ وَقِيامَتِه

32 A nd they were in the way going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus was going before them, and they were amazed, and following they were afraid. And having again taken the twelve, he began to tell them the things about to happen to him,

وَكانُوا مُنطَلِقينَ فِي طَرِيقِهِمْ إلَى القُدسِ، وَيَسُوعُ يَقُودُهُمْ. وَكانَ الَّذينَ يَتبَعُونَهُ خائِفينَ، أمّا الاثْنا عَشَرَ فَكانُوا مُندَهِشينَ جِدّاً. فَأخَذَ يَسُوعُ تَلامِيذَهُ جانِباً وَابتَدَأ يُخبِرُهُمْ مُجَدَّداً عَنْ ما سَيَحدُثُ لَهُ، فَقالَ:

33 - - `Lo, we go up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man shall be delivered to the chief priests, and to the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death, and shall deliver him to the nations,

«ها نَحنُ ذاهِبُونَ إلَى مَدينَةِ القُدْسِ حَيثُ سَيُسَلَّمُ ابْنُ الإنسانِ إلَى كِبارِ الكَهَنَةِ وَمُعَلِّمِي الشَّرِيعَةِ فَيَحكُمُونَ عَلَيهِ بِالمَوْتِ، وَيُسَلِّمُونَهُ إلَى غَيرِ المُؤمِنينَ،

34 a nd they shall mock him, and scourge him, and spit on him, and kill him, and the third day he shall rise again.'

فَيَسْخَرُونَ بِهِ، وَيَبصِقُونَ عَلَيهِ، ويجلِدُونَهُ، ثُمَّ يَقتُلُونَهُ. أمّا هُوَ فَسَيَقُومُ مِنَ المَوتِ فِي اليَومِ الثّالِثِ.» مَطلَبُ يَعقُوبُ وَيُوحَنّا

35 A nd there come near to him James and John, the sons of Zebedee, saying, `Teacher, we wish that whatever we may ask for ourselves, thou mayest do for us;'

وَجاءَ إلَيهِ يَعقُوبُ وَيُوحَنّا ابْنا زَبَدِي وَقالا: «يا مُعَلِّمُ، نُرِيدُ مِنْكَ أنْ تُحَقِّقَ لَنا ما سَنَطلُبُهُ مِنْكَ.»

36 a nd he said to them, `What do ye wish me to do for you?'

فَقالَ لَهُما يَسُوعُ: «ماذا تُرِيدانِ مِنِّي أنْ أفعَلَ لَكُما؟»

37 a nd they said to him, `Grant to us that, one on thy right hand and one on thy left, we may sit in thy glory;'

فَقالا لَهُ: «أعطِنا امتِيازَ الجُلُوسِ مَعَكَ فِي مَجدِكَ، واحِداً عَنْ يَمِينِكَ وَالآخَرَ عَنْ يَسارِكَ.»

38 a nd Jesus said to them, `Ye have not known what ye ask; are ye able to drink of the cup that I drink of, and with the baptism that I am baptized with -- to be baptized?'

فَقالَ لَهُما: «أنتُما لا تَعلَمانِ ما الَّذِي تَطلُبانِهِ. هَلْ تَستَطِيعانِ أنْ تَشْرَبا الكَأسَ الَّتِي سَأشرَبُها؟ وَأنْ تَتَعَمَّدا المَعمُودِيَّةَ الَّتِي سَأتَعَمَّدُها؟»

39 A nd they said to him, `We are able;' and Jesus said to them, `Of the cup indeed that I drink of, ye shall drink, and with the baptism that I am baptized with, ye shall be baptized;

فَأجاباهُ: «نَستَطِيعُ.» فَقالَ لَهُما: «سَتَشرَبانِ الكَأسَ الَّذِي سَأشرَبُهُ، وَسَتَتَعَمَّدانِ المَعمُودِيَّةَ الَّتِي سَأتَعَمَّدُها،

40 b ut to sit on my right and on my left, is not mine to give, but -- to those for whom it hath been prepared.'

أمّا الجُلوسُ عَنْ يَمِينِي أوْ عَنْ يَسارِي، فَلا أستَطيعُ أَنْ أُعطِيَهُ إلّا لِمَنْ أُعِدَّ لَهُمْ.»

41 A nd the ten having heard, began to be much displeased at James and John,

فَلَمّا سَمِعَ العَشْرَةُ الباقُونَ هَذا الطَّلَبَ، ابْتَدَأُوا يَغتَظاونَ جِدّاً مِنْ يَعقُوبَ وَيُوحَنّا.

42 b ut Jesus having called them near, saith to them, `Ye have known that they who are considered to rule the nations do exercise lordship over them, and their great ones do exercise authority upon them;

فَدَعاهُمْ يَسُوعُ إلَيهِ وَقالَ لَهُمْ: «تَعرِفُونَ أنَّ مَنْ يُعتَبَرُونَ حُكّاماً عَلَى الأُمَمِ يُمارِسُونَ حُكماً مُطلَقاً عَلَى شُعُوبِهِمْ، وَقادَتُهُمْ يُمارِسُونَ سُلُطاتِهِمْ عَلَيهِمْ.

43 b ut not so shall it be among you; but whoever may will to become great among you, he shall be your minister,

لَكِنَّ هَذا لا يَنْبَغِي أنْ يَكُونَ بَينَكُمْ، بَلْ مَنْ أرادَ أنْ يَكُونَ عَظِيماً بَينَكُمْ، فَعَلَيهِ أنْ يَكُونَ خادِمَكُمْ.

44 a nd whoever of you may will to become first, he shall be servant of all;

وَمَنْ أرادَ أنْ يَكُونَ الأوَّلَ بَينَكُمْ، فَعَلَيهِ أنْ يَكُونَ عَبْداً لِلجَمِيعِ.

45 f or even the Son of Man came not to be ministered to, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.'

لأنَّ ابْنَ الإنسانِ أيضاً لَمْ يَأتِ لِيُخدَمَ، بَلْ لِيَخدِمَ، وَلِيُقَدِّمَ حَياتَهُ فِديَةً لِتَحرِيرِ كَثِيرِينَ.» يَسُوعُ يَشفِي رَجُلاً أعمَى

46 A nd they come to Jericho, and as he is going forth from Jericho, with his disciples and a great multitude, a son of Timaeus -- Bartimaeus the blind -- was sitting beside the way begging,

ثُمَّ جاءُوا إلَى أرِيحا، وَبَينَما هُوَ خارِجٌ مِنْ أرِيحا مَعَ تَلامِيذِهِ وَمَعَ جَمْعٍ كَبِيرٍ مِنَ النّاسِ، كانَ ابْنُ تِيماوُسَ: بارتِيماوُسُ الأعمَى، جالِساً عَلَى جانِبِ الطَّرِيقِ يَتَسَوَّلُ.

47 a nd having heard that it is Jesus the Nazarene, he began to cry out, and to say, `The Son of David -- Jesus! deal kindly with me;'

فَلَمّا سَمِعَ أنَّ المارَّ مِنْ هُناكَ هُوَ يَسُوعُ النّاصِرِيَّ، ابتَدَأ يَصرُخُ وَيَقُولُ: «يا يَسُوعُ، يا ابْنَ داوُدَ، ارحَمْنِي.»

48 a nd many were rebuking him, that he might keep silent, but the more abundantly he cried out, `Son of David, deal kindly with me.'

فَوَبَّخَهُ كَثيرونَ وَأمَرُوهُ بِأنْ يَسكُتَ، لَكِنَّهُ رَفَعَ صَوتَهُ أكثَرَ: «يا ابْنَ داوُدَ، ارحَمنِي!»

49 A nd Jesus having stood, he commanded him to be called, and they call the blind man, saying to him, `Take courage, rise, he doth call thee;'

فَتَوَقَّفَ يَسُوعُ وَقالَ: «ادعُوهُ إلَى هُنا.» فَفَعَلُوا، وَكانُوا يَقُولُونَ لَهُ: «تَشَجَّعْ، انهَضْ، ها إنَّ يَسُوعَ يَدعُوكَ.»

50 a nd he, having cast away his garment, having risen, did come unto Jesus.

فَقَفَزَ وَطَرَحَ رِداءَهُ وَتَوَجَّهَ إلَى يَسُوعَ.

51 A nd answering, Jesus saith to him, `What wilt thou I may do to thee?' and the blind man said to him, `Rabboni, that I may see again;'

فَسَألَهُ يَسُوعُ: «ماذا تُرِيدُ مِنِّي أنْ أفعَلَ مِنْ أجلِكَ؟» فَأجابَهُ: «يا مُعَلِّمِي العَظِيمَ، أُرِيدُ أنْ أرَىْ.»

52 a nd Jesus said to him, `Go, thy faith hath saved thee:' and immediately he saw again, and was following Jesus in the way.

فَقالَ لَهُ يَسُوعُ: «لَقَدْ شَفاكَ إيمانُكَ.» فَاسْتَعادَ الرَّجُلُ بَصَرَهُ فَوراً، وَتَبِعَ يَسُوعَ فِي الطَّرِيقِ.
