1 A nd lift me up doth a spirit, and it bringeth me in unto the east gate of the house of Jehovah, that is facing the east, and lo, at the opening of the gate twenty and five men, and I see in their midst Jaazaniah son of Azzur, and Pelatiah son of Benaiah, heads of the people.

Y el Espíritu me levantó, y me metió por la puerta oriental de la Casa del SEÑOR, la cual mira hacia el oriente; y he aquí a la entrada de la puerta veinticinco varones, entre los cuales vi a Jaazanías hijo de Azur, y a Pelatías hijo de Benaía, príncipes del pueblo.

2 A nd He saith unto me, `Son of man, these the men who are devising iniquity, and who are giving evil counsel in this city;

Y me dijo: Hijo de hombre, estos son los hombres que maquinan perversidad, y dan en esta ciudad mal consejo;

3 w ho are saying, It not near -- to build houses, it the pot, and we the flesh.

los cuales dicen: No será tan pronto; edifiquemos casas; ésta será la caldera, y nosotros la carne.

4 T herefore prophesy concerning them, prophesy, son of man.'

Por tanto profetiza contra ellos, profetiza, hijo de hombre.

5 A nd fall upon me doth the Spirit of Jehovah, and He saith unto me, `Say: Thus said Jehovah: Rightly ye have said, O house of Israel, And the steps of your spirit I have known.

Y cayó sobre mí el Espíritu del SEÑOR, y me dijo: Di: Así dijo el SEÑOR: Así habéis hablado, oh Casa de Israel, y las cosas que suben a vuestro espíritu, yo las he entendido.

6 Y e multiplied your wounded in this city, And filled its out-places with the wounded.

Habéis multiplicado vuestros muertos en esta ciudad, y habéis llenado de muertos sus calles.

7 T herefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Your wounded whom ye placed in its midst, They the flesh, and it the pot, And you he hath brought out from its midst.

Por tanto, así ha dicho el Señor DIOS: Vuestros muertos que habéis puesto en medio de ella, ellos son la carne, y ella es la caldera; mas yo os sacaré a vosotros de en medio de ella.

8 A sword ye have feared, And a sword I bring in against you, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.

Espada habéis temido, y espada traeré sobre vosotros, dijo el Señor DIOS.

9 A nd I have brought you out of its midst, And given you into the hand of strangers, And I have done among you judgments.

Y os sacaré de en medio de ella, y os entregaré en manos de extraños, y yo haré juicios en vosotros.

10 B y the sword ye do fall, On the border of Israel I do judge you, And ye have known that I Jehovah.

A espada caeréis; en el término de Israel os juzgaré, y sabréis que yo soy el SEÑOR.

11 I t is not to you for a pot, Nor are ye in its midst for flesh, At the border of Israel I do judge you.

Esta no os será por caldera, ni vosotros seréis en medio de ella la carne; en el término de Israel os tengo que juzgar.

12 A nd ye have known that I Jehovah, For in My statutes ye have not walked, And My Judgments ye have not done, And according to the judgments of the nations Who are round about you -- ye have done!'

Y sabréis que yo soy el SEÑOR, porque no habéis andado en mis ordenanzas, ni habéis hecho según mis juicios, sino según los juicios de los gentiles que están en vuestros alrededores.

13 A nd it cometh to pass, at my prophesying, that Pelatiah son of Benaiah is dying, and I fall on my face, and cry -- a loud voice -- and say, `Ah, Lord Jehovah, an end Thou art making of the remnant of Israel.'

Y aconteció que, estando yo profetizando, Pelatías hijo de Benaía murió. Entonces caí sobre mi rostro, y clamé con gran voz, y dije: ¡Ah, Señor DIOS! ¿harás tú consumación del remanente de Israel?

14 A nd there is a word of Jehovah unto me, saying,

Y vino Palabra del SEÑOR a mí, diciendo:

15 ` Son of man, thy brethren, thy brethren, men of thy kindred, and all the house of Israel -- all of it, they to whom inhabitants of Jerusalem have said, Keep far off from Jehovah;

Hijo de hombre, tus hermanos, tus hermanos, los hombres de tu parentesco y toda la Casa de Israel, toda ella son aquellos a quienes dijeron los moradores de Jerusalén: Alejaos del SEÑOR; a nosotros es dada la tierra en posesión.

16 i t ours, the land hath been given for an inheritance; therefore say: Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Because I put them afar off among nations, And because I scattered them through lands, I also am to them for a little sanctuary, In lands whither they have gone in.

Por tanto di: Así dijo el Señor DIOS: Aunque los he echado lejos entre los gentiles, y los he esparcido por las tierras, con todo eso les seré por un pequeño santuario en las tierras adonde llegaren.

17 T herefore say: Thus said the Lord Jehovah: And I have assembled you from the peoples, And I have gathered you from the lands, Into which ye have been scattered, And I have given to you the ground of Israel.

Di, por tanto: Así dijo el Señor DIOS: Yo os recogeré de los pueblos, y os congregaré de las tierras en las cuales estáis esparcidos, y os daré la tierra de Israel.

18 A nd they have gone in thither. And turned aside all its detestable things, And all its abominations -- out of it.

Y vendrán allá, y quitarán de ella todas sus contaminaciones, y todas sus abominaciones.

19 A nd I have given to them one heart, And a new spirit I do give in your midst, And I have turned the heart of stone out of their flesh, And I have given to them a heart of flesh.

Y les daré un corazón, y espíritu nuevo daré en sus entrañas; y quitaré el corazón de piedra de su carne, y les daré corazón de carne;

20 S o that in My statutes they walk, And My judgments they keep, and have done them, And they have been to me for a people, And I am to them for God.

para que anden en mis ordenanzas, y guarden mis juicios y los cumplan, y me sean por pueblo, y yo sea a ellos por Dios.

21 A s to those whose heart is going unto the heart Of their detestable and their abominable things, Their way on their head I have put, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.'

Mas a aquellos cuyo corazón anda tras el deseo de sus contaminaciones y de sus abominaciones, yo tornaré su camino sobre sus cabezas, dijo el Señor DIOS.

22 A nd the cherubs lift up their wings, and the wheels over-against them, and the honour of the God of Israel over them above.

Después alzaron los querubines sus alas, y las ruedas en pos de ellos; y la gloria del Dios de Israel estaba sobre ellos encima.

23 A nd the honour of Jehovah goeth up from off the midst of the city, and standeth on the mountain, that on the east of the city.

Y la gloria del SEÑOR se fue de en medio de la ciudad, y paró sobre el monte que está al oriente de la ciudad.

24 A nd a spirit hath lifted me up, and bringeth me in to Chaldea, unto the Removed, in a vision, by the Spirit of God, and go up from off me doth the vision that I have seen;

Luego me levantó el Espíritu, y me volvió a llevar en visión del Espíritu de Dios a la tierra de los caldeos, a los cautivos. Y se fue de mí la visión que había visto.

25 a nd I speak unto the Removed all the matters of Jehovah that He hath shewed me.

Y hablé a los cautivos todas las palabras del SEÑOR que él me había mostrado.
