1 T hey joy from the wilderness and dry place, And rejoice doth the desert, and flourish as the rose,

Se alegrarán el desierto y la soledad; el yermo se gozará, y florecerá como lirio.

2 F lourishing it doth flourish, and rejoice, Yea, joy and singing, The honour of Lebanon hath been given to it, The beauty of Carmel and Sharon, They -- they see the honour of Jehovah, The majesty of our God.

Florecerá profusamente, y también alabará y cantará con júbilo; la honra del Líbano le será dada, la hermosura del Carmelo y de Sarón. Ellos verán la gloria del SEÑOR, la hermosura del Dios nuestro.

3 S trengthen ye the feeble hands, Yea, the stumbling knees strengthen.

Confortad las manos cansadas, esforzad las rodillas que titubean.

4 S ay to the hastened of heart, `Be strong, Fear not, lo, your God; vengeance cometh, The recompence of God, He Himself doth come and save you.'

Decid a los medrosos de corazón: Confortaos, no temáis; he aquí que vuestro Dios viene con venganza, con pago, el mismo Dios vendrá, y os salvará.

5 T hen opened are eyes of the blind, And ears of the deaf are unstopped,

Entonces los ojos de los ciegos serán abiertos; y los oídos de los sordos se abrirán.

6 T hen leap as a hart doth the lame, And sing doth the tongue of the dumb, For broken up in a wilderness have been waters, And streams in a desert.

Entonces el cojo saltará como un ciervo; y alabará la lengua del mudo; porque aguas serán cavadas en el desierto, y arroyos en la soledad.

7 A nd the mirage hath become a pond, And the thirsty land fountains of waters, In the habitation of dragons, Its place of couching down, a court for reed and rush.

El lugar seco será tornado en estanque, y el sequedal en manaderos de aguas; en la habitación de dragones, en su cama, será lugar de cañas y de juncos.

8 A nd a highway hath been there, and a way, And the `way of holiness' is called to it, Not pass over it doth the unclean, And He Himself by them, Whoso is going in the way -- even fools err not.

Y habrá allí camino y calzada, y se llamará Camino de Santidad; no pasará por él hombre inmundo; y habrá para ellos en él quien los acompañe, de tal manera que los insensatos no yerren.

9 N o lion is there, yea, a destructive beast Ascendeth it not, it is not found there, And walked have the redeemed,

No habrá allí león, ni bestia fiera subirá por él, ni allí se hallará; para que puedan caminar los redimidos.

10 A nd the ransomed of Jehovah return, And have entered Zion with singing. And joy age-during on their head, Joy and gladness they attain, And fled away have sorrow and sighing!

Y los rescatados del SEÑOR volverán, y vendrán a Sion con cánticos; y gozo perpetuo será sobre sus cabezas; y retendrán el gozo, y la alegría, y huirán la tristeza y el gemido.
