1 A nd afterwards have Moses and Aaron entered, and they say unto Pharaoh, `Thus said Jehovah, God of Israel, Send My people away, and they keep a feast to Me in the wilderness;'

¶ Después de esto Moisés y Aarón entraron a la presencia del Faraón, y le dijeron: El SEÑOR Dios de Israel, dice así: Deja ir a mi pueblo a celebrarme fiesta en el desierto.

2 a nd Pharaoh saith, `Who Jehovah, that I hearken to His voice, to send Israel away? I have not known Jehovah, and Israel also I do not send away.'

Y el Faraón respondió: ¿Quién es el SEÑOR, para que yo oiga su voz y deje ir a Israel? Yo no conozco al SEÑOR, ni tampoco dejaré ir a Israel.

3 A nd they say, `The God of the Hebrews hath met with us, let us go, we pray thee, a journey of three days into the wilderness, and we sacrifice to Jehovah our God, lest He meet us with pestilence or with sword.'

¶ Y ellos dijeron: El Dios de los hebreos nos ha encontrado; por tanto nosotros iremos ahora camino de tres días por el desierto, y sacrificaremos al SEÑOR nuestro Dios; para que no nos encuentre con pestilencia o con espada.

4 A nd the king of Egypt saith unto them, `Why, Moses and Aaron, do ye free the people from its works? go to your burdens.'

Entonces el rey de Egipto les dijo: Moisés y Aarón, ¿por qué hacéis cesar al pueblo de su obra? Idos a vuestras tareas.

5 P haraoh also saith, `Lo, numerous now the people of the land, and ye have caused them to cease from their burdens!'

Dijo también el Faraón: He aquí el pueblo de la tierra es ahora mucho, y vosotros les hacéis cesar de sus tareas.

6 A nd Pharaoh commandeth, on that day, the exactors among the people and its authorities, saying,

Y mandó el Faraón aquel mismo día a los cuadrilleros del pueblo que estaban encargados del pueblo, y a los gobernadores, diciendo:

7 ` Ye do not add to give straw to the people for the making of the bricks, as heretofore -- they go and have gathered straw for themselves;

De aquí en adelante no daréis hornija al pueblo para hacer ladrillo, como ayer y antes de ayer; vayan ellos y recojan hornija por sí mismos.

8 a nd the proper quantity of the bricks which they are making heretofore ye do put on them, ye do not diminish from it, for they are remiss, therefore they are crying, saying, Let us go, let us sacrifice to our God;

Y habéis de ponerles la tarea del ladrillo que hacían antes, y no les disminuiréis nada; porque están ociosos, y por eso levantan la voz diciendo: Vamos y sacrificaremos a nuestro Dios.

9 l et the service be heavy on the men, and let them work at it, and not be dazzled by lying words.'

Agrávese la servidumbre sobre ellos, para que se ocupen en ella, y no atiendan a palabras de mentira.

10 A nd the exactors of the people, and its authorities, go out, and speak unto the people, saying, `Thus said Pharaoh, I do not give you straw,

¶ Y saliendo los cuadrilleros del pueblo y sus gobernadores, hablaron al pueblo, diciendo: Así ha dicho el Faraón: Yo no os doy hornija.

11 y e -- go ye, take for yourselves straw where ye find, for there is nothing of your service diminished.'

Id vosotros, y recoged hornija donde la hallareis; que nada se disminuirá de vuestra tarea.

12 A nd the people is scattered over all the land of Egypt, to gather stubble for straw,

Entonces el pueblo se esparció por toda la tierra de Egipto para recoger rastrojo para hornija.

13 a nd the exactors are making haste, saying, `Complete your works, the matter of a day in its day, as when there is straw.'

Y los cuadrilleros los apremiaban, diciendo: Acabad vuestra obra, la tarea del día en su día, como cuando se os daba hornija.

14 A nd the authorities of the sons of Israel, whom the exactors of Pharaoh have placed over them, are beaten, saying, `Wherefore have ye not completed your portion in making brick as heretofore, both yesterday and to-day?'

Y azotaban a los gobernadores de los hijos de Israel, que los cuadrilleros del Faraón habían puesto sobre ellos, diciendo: ¿Por qué no habéis cumplido vuestra tarea de ladrillo ni ayer ni hoy, como antes?

15 A nd the authorities of the sons of Israel come in and cry unto Pharaoh, saying, `Why dost thou thus to thy servants?

¶ Y los gobernadores de los hijos de Israel vinieron y se quejaron al Faraón, diciendo: ¿Por qué lo haces así con tus siervos?

16 S traw is not given to thy servants, and they are saying to us, Make bricks, and lo, thy servants are smitten -- and thy people hath sinned.'

No se da hornija a tus siervos, y con todo eso nos dicen: Haced el ladrillo. Y he aquí tus siervos son azotados, y tu pueblo peca.

17 A nd he saith, `Remiss -- ye are remiss, therefore ye are saying, Let us go, let us sacrifice to Jehovah;

Y él respondió: Estáis ociosos, sí, ociosos, y por eso decís: Vamos y sacrifiquemos al SEÑOR.

18 a nd now, go, serve; and straw is not given to you, and the measure of bricks ye do give.'

Id pues ahora, y trabajad. No se os dará hornija, y habéis de dar la tarea del ladrillo.

19 A nd the authorities of the sons of Israel see them in affliction, saying, `Ye do not diminish from your bricks; the matter of a day in its day.'

Entonces los gobernadores de los hijos de Israel se vieron en aflicción, habiéndoseles dicho: No se disminuirá nada de vuestro ladrillo, de la tarea de cada día.

20 A nd they meet Moses and Aaron standing to meet them, in their coming out from Pharaoh,

Y encontrando a Moisés y a Aarón, que estaban delante de ellos cuando salían del Faraón,

21 a nd say unto them, `Jehovah look upon you, and judge, because ye have caused our fragrance to stink in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of his servants -- to give a sword into their hand to slay us.'

les dijeron: Mire el SEÑOR sobre vosotros, y juzgue; pues habéis hecho heder nuestro olor delante del Faraón y de sus siervos, dándoles la espada en las manos para que nos maten.

22 A nd Moses turneth back unto Jehovah, and saith, `Lord, why hast Thou done evil to this people? why this? -- Thou hast sent me!

Entonces Moisés se volvió al SEÑOR, y dijo: Señor, ¿por qué afliges a este pueblo? ¿Para qué me enviaste?

23 a nd since I have come unto Pharaoh, to speak in Thy name, he hath done evil to this people, and Thou hast not at all delivered Thy people.'

Porque desde que yo vine al Faraón para hablarle en tu Nombre, ha afligido a este pueblo; y tú tampoco has librado a tu pueblo.
