1 A nd it cometh to pass, in the four hundred and eightieth year of the going out of the sons of Israel from the land of Egypt, in the fourth year -- in the month of Zif, it the second month -- of the reigning of Solomon over Israel, that he buildeth the house for Jehovah.

Y fue en el año cuatrocientos ochenta después que los hijos de Israel salieron de Egipto, en el cuarto año del principio del reino de Salomón sobre Israel, en el mes de Zif, que es el mes segundo, que él comenzó a edificar la Casa del SEÑOR.

2 A s to the house that king Solomon hath built for Jehovah, sixty cubits its length, and twenty its breadth, and thirty cubits its height.

La Casa que el rey Salomón edificó al SEÑOR, tuvo sesenta codos de largo y veinte de ancho, y treinta codos de alto.

3 A s to the porch on the front of the temple of the house, twenty cubits its length on the front of the breadth of the house; ten by the cubit its breadth on the front of the house;

Y el portal delante del templo de la Casa, de veinte codos de largo, según la anchura de la Casa, y su ancho era de diez codos delante de la Casa.

4 a nd he maketh for the house windows of narrow lights.

E hizo a la Casa ventanas anchas por dentro, y estrechas por fuera.

5 A nd he buildeth against the wall of the house a couch round about, the walls of the house round about, of the temple and of the oracle, and maketh sides round about.

Edificó también junto al muro de la Casa un colgadizo alrededor, pegado a las paredes de la Casa en derredor del templo y del oráculo; e hizo cámaras alrededor.

6 T he lowest couch, five by the cubit its breadth; and the middle, six by the cubit its breadth; and the third, seven by the cubit its breadth, for withdrawings he hath put to the house round about, without -- not to lay hold on the walls of the house.

El colgadizo de abajo era de cinco codos de ancho, y el de en medio de seis codos de ancho, y el tercero de siete codos de ancho; porque por fuera había hecho disminuciones a la casa en derredor, para no trabar las vigas de las paredes de la Casa.

7 A nd the house, in its being built, of perfect stone brought hath been built, and hammer, and the axe -- any instrument of iron -- was not heard in the house, in its being built.

Y la Casa cuando se edificó, la fabricaron de piedras perfectas que traían ya acabadas de labrar; de tal manera que cuando la edificaban, ni martillos ni hachas se oyeron en la Casa, ni ningún otro instrumento de hierro.

8 T he opening of the middle side at the right shoulder of the house, and with windings they go up on the middle one, and from the middle one unto the third.

La puerta del colgadizo de en medio estaba al lado derecho de la Casa; y se subía por una escalera de caracol al del medio, y del medio al tercero.

9 A nd he buildeth the house, and completeth it, and covereth the house beams and rows of cedars.

Labró pues la Casa, y la acabó; y cubrió la Casa de labrados y de maderas de cedro puestas por orden.

10 A nd he buildeth the couch against all the house, five cubits its height, and it taketh hold of the house by cedar-wood.

Y edificó asimismo el colgadizo en derredor de toda la Casa, de altura de cinco codos, el cual se apoyaba en la casa con vigas de cedro.

11 A nd the word of Jehovah is unto Solomon, saying,

Y vino palabra del SEÑOR a Salomón, diciendo:

12 ` This house that thou art building -- if thou dost walk in My statutes, and My judgments dost do, yea, hast done all My commands, to walk in them, then I have established My word with thee, which I spake unto David thy father,

Esta Casa que tú edificas, si anduvieres en mis estatutos, e hicieres mis derechos, y guardares todos mis mandamientos andando en ellos, yo tendré firme contigo mi palabra que hablé a David tu padre;

13 a nd have tabernacled in the midst of the sons of Israel, and do not forsake My people Israel.'

y habitaré en medio de los hijos de Israel, y no dejaré a mi pueblo Israel.

14 A nd Solomon buildeth the house and completeth it;

Así que, Salomón labró la Casa, y la acabó.

15 a nd he buildeth the walls of the house within with beams of cedar, from the floor of the house unto the walls of the ceiling; he hath overlaid with wood the inside, and covereth the floor of the house with ribs of fir.

Y edificó las paredes de la Casa por dentro con tablas de cedro, vistiéndola de madera por dentro, desde el solado de la casa hasta las paredes de la techumbre; y el solado lo recubrió de dentro con madera de haya.

16 A nd he buildeth the twenty cubits on the sides of the house with ribs of cedar, from the floor unto the walls; and he buildeth for it within, for the oracle, for the holy of holies.

Edificó también al cabo de la Casa veinte codos de tablas de cedro, desde el solado hasta las paredes, y se labró en la Casa un oráculo, que es el lugar santísimo.

17 A nd forty by the cubit was the house, it the temple before.

Y la Casa, a saber, el templo adentro, tenía cuarenta codos.

18 A nd the cedar for the house within carvings of knobs and openings of flowers; the whole cedar, there is not a stone seen.

Y la Casa estaba cubierta de cedro por dentro, y tenía entalladuras de calabazas silvestres y de flores abiertas. Todo era cedro; ninguna piedra se veía.

19 A nd the oracle in the midst of the house within he hath prepared, to put there the ark of the covenant of Jehovah.

Y adornó el oráculo por dentro en medio de la Casa, para poner allí el arca del pacto del SEÑOR.

20 A nd before the oracle twenty cubits in length, and twenty cubits in breadth, and twenty cubits its height; and he overlayeth it with gold refined, and overlayeth the altar with cedar.

Y el oráculo estaba en la parte de adentro, el cual tenía veinte codos de largo, y otros veinte de ancho, y otros veinte de altura; y lo vistió de oro purísimo; asimismo cubrió el altar de cedro.

21 A nd Solomon overlayeth the house within with gold refined, and causeth to pass over in chains of gold before the oracle, and overlayeth it with gold.

Así que vistió Salomón de oro puro la Casa por dentro, y cerró la puerta del oráculo con cadenas de oro, y lo vistió de oro.

22 A nd the whole of the house he hath overlaid with gold, till the completion of all the house; and the whole of the altar that the oracle hath, he hath overlaid with gold.

Vistió pues de oro toda la Casa hasta el cabo; y asimismo vistió de oro todo el altar que estaba delante del oráculo.

23 A nd he maketh within the oracle two cherubs, of the oil-tree, ten cubits their height;

Hizo también en el oráculo dos querubines de madera de oliva, cada uno de altura de diez codos.

24 a nd five cubits the one wing of the cherub, and five cubits the second wing of the cherub, ten cubits from the ends of its wings even unto the ends of its wings;

Un ala del querubín tenía cinco codos, y la otra ala del mismo querubín otros cinco codos; así que había diez codos desde la punta de un ala hasta la punta de la otra.

25 a nd ten by the cubit the second cherub, one measure and one form to the two cherubs,

Asimismo el otro querubín tenía diez codos; porque ambos querubines eran de un tamaño y de una hechura.

26 t he height of the one cherub ten by the cubit, and so the second cherub;

La altura del uno era de diez codos, y asimismo el otro.

27 a nd he setteth the cherubs in the midst of the inner house, and they spread out the wings of the cherubs, and a wing of the one cometh against the wall, and a wing of the second cherub is coming against the second wall, and their wings unto the midst of the house, coming wing against wing;

Y puso estos querubines en la casa de adentro; los querubines extendían sus alas, de modo que el ala del uno tocaba a la pared, y el ala del otro querubín tocaba a la otra pared, y las otras dos alas se tocaban la una a la otra en la mitad de la Casa.

28 a nd he overlayeth the cherubs with gold,

Y recubrió de oro los querubines.

29 a nd all the walls of the house round about he hath carved with openings of carvings, cherubs, and palm trees, and openings of flowers, within and without.

Y esculpió todas las paredes de la Casa alrededor de diversas figuras, de querubines, de palmas, y de flores abiertas, por dentro y por fuera.

30 A nd the floor of the house he hath overlaid with gold, within and without;

Y recubrió de oro el solado de la casa, por dentro y por fuera.

31 a s to the opening of the oracle, he made doors of the oil-tree; the lintel, side-posts, a fifth.

Y a la entrada del oráculo hizo puertas de madera de oliva; y el umbral y los postes eran de cinco esquinas.

32 A nd the two doors of the oil-tree, and he hath carved upon them carvings of cherubs, and palm-trees, and openings of flowers, and overlaid with gold, and he causeth the gold to go down on the cherubs and on the palm-trees.

Las dos puertas eran de madera de oliva; y entalló en ellas figuras de querubines y de palmas y de flores abiertas, y las recubrió de oro; recubrió también de oro los querubines y las palmas.

33 A nd so he hath made for the opening of the temple, side-posts of the oil-tree, from the fourth.

De la misma forma hizo a la puerta del templo postes de madera de oliva cuadrados.

34 A nd the two doors of fir-tree, the two sides of the one door are revolving, and the two hangings of the second door are revolving.

Las dos puertas eran de madera de haya; y los dos lados de una puerta eran redondos, y los otros dos lados de la otra puerta también redondos.

35 A nd he hath carved cherubs, and palms, and openings of flowers, and overlaid with straightened gold the graved work.

Y entalló en ellas querubines, palmas y flores abiertas, y las recubrió de oro ajustado a las entalladuras.

36 A nd he buildeth the inner court, three rows of hewn work, and a row of beams of cedar.

Y labró el atrio interior de tres órdenes de piedras labradas, y de un órden de vigas de cedro.

37 I n the fourth year hath the house of Jehovah been founded, in the month Zif,

En el cuarto año, en el mes de Zif, se pusieron los cimientos de la Casa del SEÑOR.

38 a nd in the eleventh year, in the month Bul -- the eighth month -- hath the house been finished in all its matters, and in all its ordinances, and he buildeth it seven years.

Y en el undécimo año, en el mes de Bul, que es el mes octavo, fue acabada la Casa con todas sus pertenencias, y con todo lo necesario. La edificó pues, en siete años.
