1 A nd concerning the spiritual things, brethren, I do not wish you to be ignorant;

¶ Y acerca de las cosas espirituales, no quiero, hermanos, que las ignoréis.

2 y e have known that ye were nations, unto the dumb idols -- as ye were led -- being carried away;

Sabéis que cuando erais gentiles, ibais, como erais llevados, a los ídolos mudos.

3 w herefore, I give you to understand that no one, in the Spirit of God speaking, saith Jesus anathema, and no one is able to say Jesus Lord, except in the Holy Spirit.

Por tanto os hago saber, que nadie que hable por el Espíritu de Dios, llama anatema a Jesús; y nadie puede llamar a Jesús Señor, sino por el Espíritu Santo.

4 A nd there are diversities of gifts, and the same Spirit;

Pero hay repartimiento de dones; mas el mismo Espíritu es.

5 a nd there are diversities of ministrations, and the same Lord;

Y hay repartimiento de ministerios; mas el mismo Señor es.

6 a nd there are diversities of workings, and it is the same God -- who is working the all in all.

Y hay repartimiento de operaciones; mas el mismo Dios es, quien obra todas las cosas en todos.

7 A nd to each hath been given the manifestation of the Spirit for profit;

Pero a cada uno le es dada la manifestación del Espíritu para provecho.

8 f or to one through the Spirit hath been given a word of wisdom, and to another a word of knowledge, according to the same Spirit;

Porque a la verdad, a éste es dada por el Espíritu palabra de sabiduría; a otro, palabra de ciencia según el mismo Espíritu;

9 a nd to another faith in the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healings in the same Spirit;

a otro, fe por el mismo Espíritu, y a otro, dones de sanidades por el mismo Espíritu;

10 a nd to another in-workings of mighty deeds; and to another prophecy; and to another discernings of spirits; and to another kinds of tongues; and to another interpretation of tongues:

a otro, operaciones de milagros, y a otro, profecía; y a otro, discernimiento de espíritus; y a otro, géneros de lenguas; y a otro, interpretación de lenguas.

11 a nd all these doth work the one and the same Spirit, dividing to each severally as he intendeth.

Mas todas estas cosas opera uno y el mismo Espíritu, repartiendo particularmente a cada uno como quiere.

12 F or, even as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of the one body, being many, are one body, so also the Christ,

¶ Porque de la manera que es un cuerpo, y tiene muchos miembros, empero todos los miembros de este cuerpo, siendo muchos, son un cuerpo, así también el Cristo.

13 f or also in one Spirit we all to one body were baptized, whether Jews or Greeks, whether servants or freemen, and all into one Spirit were made to drink,

Porque por un Espíritu somos todos bautizados en un cuerpo, judíos o griegos, siervos o libres; y todos bebemos (de una bebida) de un mismo Espíritu.

14 f or also the body is not one member, but many;

Porque el cuerpo no es un miembro, sino muchos.

15 i f the foot may say, `Because I am not a hand, I am not of the body;' it is not, because of this, not of the body;

Si dijere el pie: Porque no soy mano, no soy del cuerpo, ¿por eso no será del cuerpo?

16 a nd if the ear may say, `Because I am not an eye, I am not of the body;' it is not, because of this, not of the body?

Y si dijere la oreja: Porque no soy ojo, no soy del cuerpo, ¿por eso no será del cuerpo?

17 I f the whole body an eye, where the hearing? if the whole hearing, where the smelling?

Si todo el cuerpo fuera ojo, ¿dónde estaría el oído? Si todo fuera oído, ¿dónde estaría el olfato?

18 a nd now, God did set the members each one of them in the body, according as He willed,

Mas ahora Dios ha colocado los miembros cada uno de ellos por sí en el cuerpo, como quiso.

19 a nd if all were one member, where the body?

Que si todos fueran un miembro, ¿dónde estuviera el cuerpo?

20 a nd now, indeed, many members, and one body;

Mas ahora muchos miembros son a la verdad, empero un cuerpo.

21 a nd an eye is not able to say to the hand, `I have no need of thee;' nor again the head to the feet, `I have no need of you.'

Ni el ojo puede decir a la mano: No te necesito; ni asimismo la cabeza a los pies: No tengo necesidad de vosotros.

22 B ut much more the members of the body which seem to be more infirm are necessary,

Antes, los miembros del cuerpo que parecen más flacos, son mucho más necesarios;

23 a nd those that we think to be less honourable of the body, around these we put more abundant honour, and our unseemly things have seemliness more abundant,

y los miembros del cuerpo que estimamos ser más viles, a éstos vestimos más honrosamente; y los que en nosotros son indecentes, tienen más honestidad.

24 a nd our seemly things have no need; but God did temper the body together, to the lacking part having given more abundant honour,

Porque los que en nosotros son más honestos, no tienen necesidad de nada; mas Dios ordenó el cuerpo (todo), dando más abundante honor al que le faltaba;

25 t hat there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same anxiety for one another,

para que no haya desavenencia en el cuerpo, sino que los miembros todos se interesen los unos por los otros.

26 a nd whether one member doth suffer, suffer with do all the members, or one member is glorified, rejoice with do all the members;

De tal manera que si un miembro padece, todos los miembros a una se duelan; y si un miembro es honrado, todos los miembros a una se gozan.

27 a nd ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.

¶ Y vosotros sois el cuerpo de Cristo, y miembros cada uno en particular.

28 A nd some, indeed, did God set in the assembly, first apostles, secondly prophets, thirdly teachers, afterwards powers, afterwards gifts of healings, helpings, governings, divers kinds of tongues;

Y a unos puso Dios en la Iglesia, primeramente apóstoles, luego profetas, lo tercero maestros; luego facultades; luego dones de sanidades; ayudas, gobernaciones, géneros de lenguas.

29 a ll apostles? all prophets? all teachers? all powers?

¿Son todos apóstoles? ¿Son todos profetas? ¿Todos maestros? ¿Todos facultades?

30 h ave all gifts of healings? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?

¿Tienen todos dones de sanidad? ¿Hablan todos lenguas? ¿Interpretan todos?

31 a nd desire earnestly the better gifts; and yet a far excelling way do I shew to you:

Procurad pues, los mejores dones; mas aun yo os enseño el camino más excelente.
