1 A nd it cometh to pass afterwards that David smiteth the Philistines, and humbleth them, and David taketh the bridle of the metropolis out of the hand of the Philistines.

¶ Después de esto aconteció, que David hirió a los filisteos, y los humilló; y tomó David a Meteg-ama de mano de los filisteos.

2 A nd he smiteth Moab, and measureth them with a line, causing them to lie down on the earth, and he measureth two lines to put to death, and the fulness of the line to keep alive, and the Moabites are to David for servants, bearers of a present.

Hirió también a los de Moab, y los midió con cordel, haciéndolos echar por tierra; y los midió en dos cordeles, el uno para muerte, y otro cordel entero para vida; y fueron los moabitas siervos llevando presente.

3 A nd David smiteth Hadadezer son of Rehob, king of Zobah, in his going to bring back his power by the River

Asimismo hirió David a Hadad-ezer hijo de Rehob, rey de Soba, yendo él a extender su término hasta el río Eufrates.

4 a nd David captureth from him a thousand and seven hundred horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen, and David destroyeth utterly the whole of the charioteers, only he leaveth of them a hundred charioteers.

Y tomó David de ellos mil setecientos de a caballo, y veinte mil hombres de a pie; y desjarretó David los caballos de todos los carros, excepto cien carros de ellos que reservó.

5 A nd Aram of Damascus cometh to give help to Hadadezer king of Zobah, and David smiteth of Aram twenty and two thousand men;

Y vinieron los sirios de Damasco a dar ayuda a Hadad-ezer rey de Soba; y David hirió de los Sirios veintidós mil hombres.

6 a nd David putteth garrisons in Aram of Damascus, and Aram is to David for a servant, bearing a present; and Jehovah saveth David whithersoever he hath gone;

Puso luego David guarnición en Siria, la de Damasco, y fueron los Sirios siervos de David llevando presente. Y el SEÑOR salvó a David por dondequiera que fue.

7 a nd David taketh the shields of gold which were on the servants of Hadadezer, and bringeth them to Jerusalem;

Y tomó David los escudos de oro que traían los siervos de Hadad-ezer, y los llevó a Jerusalén.

8 a nd from Betah, and from Berothai, cities of Hadadezer, hath king David taken very much brass.

Asimismo de Beta y de Beerot, ciudades de Hadad-ezer, tomó el rey David gran cantidad de bronce.

9 A nd Toi king of Hamath heareth that David hath smitten all the force of Hadadezer,

¶ Entonces oyendo Toi, rey de Hamat, que David había derrotado todo el ejército de Hadad-ezer,

10 a nd Toi sendeth Joram his son unto king David to ask of him of welfare, and to bless him, (because that he hath fought against Hadadezer, and smiteth him, for a man of wars Toi had Hadadezer been), and in his hand have been vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and vessels of brass,

envió Toi a Joram su hijo al rey David, a saludarle pacíficamente y a bendecirle, porque había peleado con Hadad-ezer y lo había vencido; porque Toi era enemigo de Hadad-ezer. Y Joram llevaba en su mano vasos de plata, y vasos de oro, y de bronce;

11 a lso them did king David sanctify to Jehovah, with the silver and the gold which he sanctified of all the nations which he subdued:

los cuales el rey David dedicó al SEÑOR, con el oro y la plata que tenía dedicado de todos los gentiles que había sometido;

12 o f Aram, and of Moab, and of the Bene-Ammon, and of the Philistines, and of Amalek, and of the spoil of Hadadezer son of Rehob king of Zobah.

de los sirios, de los moabitas, de los amonitas, de los filisteos, de los amalecitas, y del despojo de Hadad-ezer hijo de Rehob, rey de Soba.

13 A nd David maketh a name in his turning back from his smiting Aram in the valley of Salt -- eighteen thousand;

Y ganó David fama cuando, volviendo de la derrota de los Sirios, hirió dieciocho mil hombres en el valle de la sal.

14 a nd he putteth in Edom garrisons -- in all Edom he hath put garrisons, and all Edom are servants to David; and Jehovah saveth David whithersoever he hath gone.

Asimismo puso David guarnición en Edom, por toda Edom puso guarnición; y todos los idumeos fueron siervos de David. Y el SEÑOR salvó a David por dondequiera que fue.

15 A nd David reigneth over all Israel, and David is doing judgment and righteousness to all his people,

¶ Y reinó David sobre todo Israel; y hacía David derecho y justicia a todo su pueblo.

16 a nd Joab son of Zeruiah over the host, and Jehoshaphat son of Ahilud remembrancer,

Y Joab hijo de Sarvia era general de su ejército; y Josafat hijo de Ahilud, escritor de crónicas;

17 a nd Zadok son of Ahitub, and Ahimelech son of Abiathar, priests, and Seraiah scribe,

y Sadoc hijo de Ahitob, y Ahimelec hijo de Abiatar, eran sacerdotes; y Seraías era escriba;

18 a nd Benaiah son of Jehoiada both the Cherethite and the Pelethite, and the sons of David have been ministers.

y Benaía hijo de Joiada, estaba a cargo de los cereteos y peleteos; y los hijos de David eran sacerdotes.
