1 I n many parts, and many ways, God of old having spoken to the fathers in the prophets,

¶ Dios, habiendo hablado muchas veces y de muchas maneras en otro tiempo a los padres por los profetas,

2 i n these last days did speak to us in a Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He did make the ages;

en estos postreros tiempos nos ha hablado por el Hijo, al cual constituyó por heredero de todo, por el cual asimismo hizo los siglos;

3 w ho being the brightness of the glory, and the impress of His subsistence, bearing up also the all things by the saying of his might -- through himself having made a cleansing of our sins, sat down at the right hand of the greatness in the highest,

el cual siendo el resplandor de su gloria, y la misma imagen de su sustancia, y sustentando todas las cosas con la palabra de su potencia, habiendo hecho la purgación de nuestros pecados por sí mismo, se sentó a la diestra de la majestad en las alturas,

4 h aving become so much better than the messengers, as he did inherit a more excellent name than they.

¶ hecho tanto más excelente que los ángeles, por cuanto alcanzó por herencia más excelente nombre que ellos.

5 F or to which of the messengers said He ever, `My Son thou art -- I to-day have begotten thee?' and again, `I will be to him for a father, and he shall be to Me for a son?'

Porque ¿A cuál de los ángeles dijo Dios jamás: Mi Hijo eres tú, hoy yo te he engendrado, Y otra vez: Yo seré a él Padre, y él me será a mí Hijo?

6 a nd when again He may bring in the first-born to the world, He saith, `And let them bow before him -- all messengers of God;'

Y otra vez, cuando introduce al Primogénito en la redondez de la tierra, dice: Y adórenlo todos los Angeles de Dios.

7 a nd unto the messengers, indeed, He saith, `Who is making His messengers spirits, and His ministers a flame of fire;'

Y ciertamente de los ángeles dice: El que hace a sus ángeles espíritus, y a sus ministros llama de fuego.

8 a nd unto the Son: `Thy throne, O God, to the age of the age; a scepter of righteousness the scepter of thy reign;

Mas al Hijo: Tu trono, oh DIOS; por el siglo del siglo; vara de equidad la vara de tu Reino;

9 t hou didst love righteousness, and didst hate lawlessness; because of this did He anoint thee -- God, thy God -- with oil of gladness above thy partners;'

amaste la justicia, y aborreciste la maldad; por lo cual te ungió Dios, el Dios tuyo, con óleo de alegría más que a tus compañeros.

10 a nd, `Thou, at the beginning, Lord, the earth didst found, and a work of thy hands are the heavens;

Y: Tú, oh Señor, en el principio fundaste la tierra; y los cielos son obras de tus manos;

11 t hese shall perish, and Thou dost remain, and all, as a garment, shall become old,

ellos perecerán, mas tú eres permanente; y todos ellos se envejecerán como una vestidura;

12 a nd as a mantle Thou shall roll them together, and they shall be changed, and Thou art the same, and Thy years shall not fail.'

y como un vestido los envolverás, y serán mudados; pero tú eres el mismo, y tus años nunca se acabarán.

13 A nd unto which of the messengers said He ever, `Sit at My right hand, till I may make thine enemies thy footstool?'

Pues, ¿A cuál de los ángeles dijo jamás: Siéntate a mi diestra, hasta que ponga a tus enemigos por estrado de tus pies?

14 a re they not all spirits of service -- for ministration being sent forth because of those about to inherit salvation?

¿No son todos espíritus servidores, enviados en servicio por amor de los que son los herederos de la salud?
