1 I n many parts, and many ways, God of old having spoken to the fathers in the prophets,

Dios, habiendo hablado muchas veces y de muchas maneras en otro tiempo a los padres por los profetas,

2 i n these last days did speak to us in a Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He did make the ages;

en estos últimos días nos ha hablado en el Hijo, a quien designó heredero de todo, por medio del cual hizo también el universo;

3 w ho being the brightness of the glory, and the impress of His subsistence, bearing up also the all things by the saying of his might -- through himself having made a cleansing of our sins, sat down at the right hand of the greatness in the highest,

el cual, siendo el resplandor de su gloria, y la fiel representación de su ser real, y el que sostiene todas las cosas con la palabra de su poder, habiendo efectuado la purificación de nuestros pecados por medio de sí mismo, se sentó a la diestra de la Majestad en las alturas,

4 h aving become so much better than the messengers, as he did inherit a more excellent name than they.

hecho tanto superior a los ángeles, cuanto heredó más excelente nombre que ellos. El Hijo, superior a los ángeles

5 F or to which of the messengers said He ever, `My Son thou art -- I to-day have begotten thee?' and again, `I will be to him for a father, and he shall be to Me for a son?'

Porque ¿a cuál de los ángeles dijo Dios jamás: Mi Hijo eres tú, Yo te he engendrado hoy, y otra vez: Yo seré a él Padre, Y él me será a mí hijo?

6 a nd when again He may bring in the first-born to the world, He saith, `And let them bow before him -- all messengers of God;'

Y otra vez, cuando introduce al Primogénito en el mundo, dice: Adórenle todos los ángeles de Dios.

7 a nd unto the messengers, indeed, He saith, `Who is making His messengers spirits, and His ministers a flame of fire;'

Ciertamente de los ángeles dice: El que hace a sus ángeles espíritus, Y a sus ministros llama de fuego.

8 a nd unto the Son: `Thy throne, O God, to the age of the age; a scepter of righteousness the scepter of thy reign;

Mas del Hijo dice: Tu trono, oh Dios, por el siglo del siglo; Cetro de equidad es el cetro de tu reino.

9 t hou didst love righteousness, and didst hate lawlessness; because of this did He anoint thee -- God, thy God -- with oil of gladness above thy partners;'

Has amado la justicia, y aborrecido la maldad, Por lo cual te ungió Dios, el Dios tuyo, Con óleo de alegría más que a tus compañeros.

10 a nd, `Thou, at the beginning, Lord, the earth didst found, and a work of thy hands are the heavens;

Y: Tú, oh Señor, en el principio pusiste los fundamentos de la tierra, Y los cielos son obra de tus manos.

11 t hese shall perish, and Thou dost remain, and all, as a garment, shall become old,

Ellos perecerán, mas tú permaneces; Y todos ellos se envejecerán como una vestidura,

12 a nd as a mantle Thou shall roll them together, and they shall be changed, and Thou art the same, and Thy years shall not fail.'

Y como un manto los enrollarás, y serán cambiados; Pero tú eres el mismo, Y tus años no se acabarán.

13 A nd unto which of the messengers said He ever, `Sit at My right hand, till I may make thine enemies thy footstool?'

Y, ¿a cuál de los ángeles dijo Dios jamás: Siéntate a mi diestra, Hasta que ponga a tus enemigos por estrado de tus pies?

14 a re they not all spirits of service -- for ministration being sent forth because of those about to inherit salvation?

¿No son todos espíritus ministradores, enviados para servicio a favor de los que van a heredar la salvación?
