1 A nd David gathered again every chosen one in Israel, thirty thousand,

David volvió a reunir a todos los escogidos de Israel, treinta mil.

2 a nd David riseth and goeth, and all the people who with him, from Baale-Judah, to bring up thence the ark of God, whose name hath been called -- the name of Jehovah of Hosts, inhabiting the cherubs -- upon it.

Y acompañado de todo el pueblo que iba tras él, se puso en marcha desde Baalá de Judá, para subir desde allí el arca de Dios, sobre la cual era invocado el nombre de Jehová de los ejércitos, que mora entre los querubines.

3 A nd they cause the ark of God to ride on a new cart, and lift it up from the house of Abinadab, which in the height, and Uzzah and Ahio sons of Abinadab are leading the new cart;

Pusieron el arca de Dios sobre un carro nuevo, y la llevaron de la casa de Abinadab, que está en la colina; y Uzá y Ayó, hijos de Abinadab, guiaban el carro nuevo.

4 a nd they lift it up from the house of Abinadab, which in the height, with the ark of God, and Ahio is going before the ark,

Y cuando lo llevaban de la casa de Abinadab, que estaba en la colina, con el arca de Dios, Ayó iba delante del arca.

5 a nd David and all the house of Israel are playing before Jehovah, with all kinds of of fir-wood, even with harps, and with psalteries, and with timbrels, and with cornets, and with cymbals.

Y David y toda la casa de Israel danzaban delante de Jehová con toda clase de instrumentos de madera de haya; con arpas, salterios, panderos, flautas y címbalos.

6 A nd they come unto the threshing-floor of Nachon, and Uzzah putteth forth unto the ark of God, and layeth hold on it, for they released the oxen;

Cuando llegaron a la era de Nacón, Uzá extendió su mano al arca de Dios, y la sostuvo; porque los bueyes tropezaban.

7 a nd the anger of Jehovah burneth against Uzzah, and God smiteth him there for the error, and he dieth there by the ark of God.

Y el furor de Jehová se encendió contra Uzá, y lo hirió allí Dios por aquella temeridad, y cayó allí muerto junto al arca de Dios.

8 A nd it is displeasing to David, because that Jehovah hath broken forth a breach upon Uzzah, and calleth that place Perez-Uzzah, unto this day;

Y se entristeció David por haber herido Jehová a Uzá, y fue llamado aquel lugar Pérez-uzá, hasta hoy.

9 a nd David feareth Jehovah on that day, and saith, `How doth the ark of Jehovah come in unto me?'

Y temiendo David a Jehová aquel día, dijo: ¿Cómo ha de venir a mí el arca de Jehová?

10 A nd David hath not been willing to turn aside unto himself the ark of Jehovah, to the city of David, and David turneth it aside to the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite,

De modo que David no quiso traer para sí el arca de Jehová a la ciudad de David; y la hizo llevar David a casa de Obed-edom geteo.

11 a nd the ark of Jehovah doth inhabit the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite three months, and Jehovah blesseth Obed-Edom and all his house.

Y estuvo el arca de Jehová en casa de Obed-edom geteo tres meses; y bendijo Jehová a Obed-edom y a toda su casa. David trae el arca a Jerusalén

12 A nd it is declared to king David, saying, `Jehovah hath blessed the house of Obed-Edom, and all that he hath, because of the ark of God;' and David goeth and bringeth up the ark of God from the house of Obed-Edom to the city of David with joy.

Fue dado aviso al rey David, diciendo: Jehová ha bendecido la casa de Obed-edom y todo lo que tiene, a causa del arca de Dios. Entonces David fue, y llevó con alegría el arca de Dios de casa de Obed-edom a la ciudad de David.

13 A nd it cometh to pass, when those bearing the ark of Jehovah have stepped six steps, that he sacrificeth an ox and a fatling.

Y cuando los que llevaban el arca de Dios habían andado seis pasos, él sacrificaba un buey y un carnero cebado.

14 A nd David is dancing with all strength before Jehovah, and David is girded with a linen ephod,

Y David danzaba con toda su fuerza delante de Jehová vestido sólo con un efod de lino.

15 a nd David and all the house of Israel are bringing up the ark of Jehovah with shouting, and with the voice of a trumpet,

Así David y toda la casa de Israel subieron el arca de Jehová con júbilo y sonido de trompeta.

16 a nd it hath come to pass, the ark of Jehovah hath come in to the city of David, and Michal daughter of Saul, hath looked through the window, and seeth king David moving and dancing before Jehovah, and despiseth him in her heart.

Cuando el arca de Jehová llegó a la ciudad de David, aconteció que Mical hija de Saúl miró desde una ventana, y vio al rey David que saltaba y danzaba delante de Jehová; y le menospreció en su corazón.

17 A nd they bring in the ark of Jehovah, and set it up in its place, in the midst of the tent which David hath spread out for it, and David causeth to ascend burnt-offerings before Jehovah, and peace-offerings.

Metieron, pues, el arca de Jehová, y la pusieron en su lugar en medio de una tienda que David le había levantado; y sacrificó David holocaustos y ofrendas de paz delante de Jehová.

18 A nd David finisheth from causing to ascend the burnt-offering, and the peace-offerings, and blesseth the people in the name of Jehovah of Hosts,

Y cuando David acabó de ofrecer los holocaustos y ofrendas de paz, bendijo al pueblo en el nombre de Jehová de los ejércitos.

19 a nd he apportioneth to all the people, to all the multitude of Israel, from man even unto woman, to each, one cake of bread, and one eshpar, and one ashisha, and all the people go, each to his house.

Y repartió a todo el pueblo, y a toda la multitud de Israel, así a hombres como a mujeres, a cada uno un pan, y un pedazo de carne y una torta de pasas. Y se fue todo el pueblo, cada uno a su casa.

20 A nd David turneth back to bless his house, and Michal daughter of Saul goeth out to meet David, and saith, `How honourable to-day was the king of Israel, who was uncovered to-day before the eyes of the handmaids of his servants, as one of the vain ones is openly uncovered!'

Cuando volvió David para bendecir su casa, salió Mical a recibir a David y le dijo: ¡Cuán honrado ha quedado hoy el rey de Israel, descubriéndose hoy delante de las criadas de sus siervos, como se descubre sin decoro un cualquiera!

21 A nd David saith unto Michal, `-- Before Jehovah, who fixed on me above thy father, and above all his house, to appoint me leader over the people of Jehovah, and over Israel, -- yea, I played before Jehovah;

Entonces David respondió a Mical: Fue delante de Jehová, quien me eligió prefiriéndome a tu padre y a toda tu casa, para constituirme por príncipe sobre el pueblo de Jehová, sobre Israel. Por tanto, danzaré delante de Jehová.

22 a nd I have been more vile than this, and have been low in mine eyes, and with the handmaids whom thou hast spoken of, with them I am honoured.'

Y aun me haré más vil que esta vez, y seré bajo a tus ojos; pero seré honrado delante de las criadas de quienes has hablado.

23 A s to Michal daughter of Saul, she had no child till the day of her death.

Y Mical hija de Saúl no tuvo ya hijos hasta el día de su muerte.
