1 A nd Moses speaketh unto the heads of the tribes of the sons of Israel, saying, `This the thing which Jehovah hath commanded:

Habló Moisés a los príncipes de las tribus de los hijos de Israel, diciendo: Esto es lo que Jehová ha mandado.

2 ` When a man voweth a vow to Jehovah, or hath sworn an oath to bind a bond on his soul, he doth not pollute his word; according to all that is going out from his mouth he doth.

Cuando alguno haga voto a Jehová, o haga juramento ligando su alma con obligación, no quebrantará su palabra; hará conforme a todo lo que salió de su boca.

3 ` And when a woman voweth a vow to Jehovah, and hath bound a bond in the house of her father in her youth,

Mas la mujer, cuando haga voto a Jehová, y se ligue con obligación en casa de su padre, en su juventud;

4 a nd her father hath heard her vow, and her bond which she hath bound on her soul, and her father hath kept silent at her, then have all her vows been established, and every bond which she hath bound on her soul is established.

si su padre oye su voto, y la obligación con que ligó su alma, y su padre calla a ello, todos los votos de ella serán firmes, y toda obligación con que haya ligado su alma, firme será.

5 ` And if her father hath disallowed her in the day of his hearing, none of her vows and her bonds which she hath bound on her soul is established, and Jehovah is propitious to her, for her father hath disallowed her.

Mas si su padre le veda el día que oiga todos sus votos y sus obligaciones con que ella haya ligado su alma, no serán firmes; y Jehová se lo dispensará, por cuanto su padre se lo vedó.

6 ` And if she be at all to a husband, and her vows on her, or a wrongful utterance her lips, which she hath bound on her soul,

Pero si es casada y hace votos, o pronuncia de sus labios cosa con que obligue su alma;

7 a nd her husband hath heard, and in the day of his hearing, he hath kept silent at her, then have her vows been established, and her bonds which she hath bound on her soul are established.

si su marido lo oye, y cuando lo oiga calla a ello, los votos de ella serán firmes, y la obligación con que ligó su alma, firme será.

8 ` And if in the day of her husband's hearing he disalloweth her, then he hath broken her vow which on her, and the wrongful utterance of her lips which she hath bound on her soul, and Jehovah is propitious to her.

Pero si cuando su marido lo oyó, le vedó, entonces el voto que ella hizo, y lo que pronunció de sus labios con que ligó su alma, será nulo; y Jehová no se lo tendrá en cuenta.

9 ` As to the vow of a widow or cast-out woman, all that she hath bound on her soul is established on her.

Pero todo voto de viuda o repudiada, con que ligue su alma, será firme.

10 ` And if the house of her husband she hath vowed, or hath bound a bond on her soul with an oath,

Y si ha hecho voto en casa de su marido, y ha ligado su alma con obligación de juramento,

11 a nd her husband hath heard, and hath kept silent at her -- he hath not disallowed her -- then have all her vows been established, and every bond which she hath bound on her soul is established.

si su marido oyó, y calló a ello y no le vedó, entonces todos sus votos serán firmes, y toda obligación con que haya ligado su alma, firme será.

12 ` And if her husband doth certainly break them in the day of his hearing, none of the outgoing of her lips concerning her vows, or concerning the bond of her soul, is established -- her husband hath broken them -- and Jehovah is propitious to her.

Mas si su marido los anuló el día que los oyó, todo lo que salió de sus labios cuanto a sus votos, y cuanto a la obligación de su alma, será nulo; su marido los anuló, y Jehová la perdonará.

13 ` Every vow and every oath -- a bond to humble a soul -- her husband doth establish it, or her husband doth break it;

Todo voto, y todo juramento obligándose a afligir el alma, su marido lo confirmará, o su marido lo anulará.

14 a nd if her husband certainly keep silent at her, from day unto day, then he hath established all her vows, or all her bonds which upon her; he hath established them, for he hath kept silent at her in the day of his hearing;

Pero si su marido calla a ello de día en día, entonces confirmó todos sus votos, y todas las obligaciones que están sobre ella; los confirmó, por cuanto calló a ello el día que lo oyó.

15 a nd if he doth at all break them after his hearing, then he hath borne her iniquity.'

Mas si los anula más tarde, entonces él cargará con la falta de ella.

16 T hese the statutes which Jehovah hath commanded Moses between a man and his wife, between a father and his daughter, in her youth, the house of her father.

Estas son las ordenanzas que Jehová mandó a Moisés entre el varón y su mujer, y entre el padre y su hija durante su juventud en casa de su padre.
