1 F or, indeed, concerning the ministration that for the saints, it is superfluous for me to write to you,

Porque acerca de este servicio a los santos, es superfluo que yo os escriba;

2 f or I have known your readiness of mind, which in your behalf I boast of to Macedonians, that Achaia hath been prepared a year ago, and the zeal of you did stir up the more part,

pues conozco vuestra buena voluntad, de la cual yo me glorío entre los de Macedonia, que Acaya está preparada desde el año pasado; y vuestro celo ha estimulado a la mayoría.

3 a nd I sent the brethren, that our boasting on your behalf may not be made vain in this respect; that, according as I said, ye may be ready,

Pero he enviado a los hermanos, para que nuestra jactancia acerca de vosotros no se desvanezca en este particular; para que como decía, estéis preparados;

4 l est if Macedonians may come with me, and find you unprepared, we -- we may be put to shame (that we say not -- ye) in this same confidence of boasting.

no sea que si vienen conmigo algunos macedonios, y os hallan desprevenidos, nos avergoncemos nosotros, por no decir vosotros, de esta nuestra firme confianza.

5 N ecessary, therefore, I thought to exhort the brethren, that they may go before to you, and may make up before your formerly announced blessing, that this be ready, as a blessing, and not as covetousness.

Por tanto, tuve por necesario exhortar a los hermanos que fuesen primero a vosotros y preparasen primero vuestra generosidad antes prometida, para que esté lista como ofrenda generosa, y no como tacañería.

6 A nd this: He who is sowing sparingly, sparingly also shall reap; and he who is sowing in blessings, in blessings also shall reap;

Pero esto digo: El que siembra escasamente, también segará escasamente, y el que siembra generosamente, también segará generosamente.

7 e ach one, according as he doth purpose in heart, not out of sorrow or out of necessity, for a cheerful giver doth God love,

Cada uno dé como propuso en su corazón: no con tristeza, ni por necesidad, porque Dios ama al dador alegre.

8 a nd God able all grace to cause to abound to you, that in every thing always all sufficiency having, ye may abound to every good work,

Y poderoso es Dios para hacer que abunde en vosotros toda gracia, a fin de que, teniendo siempre en todas las cosas todo lo suficiente, abundéis para toda buena obra;

9 ( according as it hath been written, `He dispersed abroad, he gave to the poor, his righteousness doth remain to the age,')

como está escrito: Esparció, dio a los pobres; Su justicia permanece para siempre.

10 a nd may He who is supplying seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness,

Y el que suministra semilla al que siembra, y pan al que come, proveerá y multiplicará vuestra sementera, y aumentará los frutos de vuestra justicia,

11 i n every thing being enriched to all liberality, which doth work through us thanksgiving to God,

para que estéis enriquecidos en todo para toda liberalidad, la cual produce por medio de nosotros acción de gracias a Dios.

12 b ecause the ministration of this service not only is supplying the wants of the saints, but is also abounding through many thanksgivings to God,

Porque la ministración de este servicio no solamente suple lo que falta a los santos, sino que también sobreabunda a través de muchas acciones de gracias a Dios;

13 t hrough the proof of this ministration glorifying God for the subjection of your confession to the good news of the Christ, and the liberality of the fellowship to them and to all,

pues por la prueba dada con esta ministración, glorifican a Dios por la sumisión que profesáis al evangelio de Cristo, y por la sinceridad de vuestra comunión con ellos y con todos;

14 a nd by their supplication in your behalf, longing after you because of the exceeding grace of God upon you;

asimismo con la oración de ellos por vosotros, mostrando su anhelo por vosotros a causa de la sobreabundante gracia de Dios en vosotros.

15 t hanks also to God for His unspeakable gift!

¡Gracias a Dios por su don inefable!
