1 I t had, indeed, then (even the first tabernacle) ordinances of service, also a worldly sanctuary,

Ahora bien, aun el primer pacto tenía ordenanzas de culto y su santuario terrenal.

2 f or a tabernacle was prepared, the first, in which was both the lamp-stand, and the table, and the bread of the presence -- which is called `Holy;'

Porque fue preparada la parte anterior del tabernáculo, en la que estaban el candelabro, la mesa y los panes de la proposición; ésta se llama el Lugar Santo.

3 a nd after the second vail a tabernacle that is called `Holy of holies,'

Tras el segundo velo, estaba la parte del tabernáculo llamada el Lugar Santísimo,

4 h aving a golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid all round about with gold, in which the golden pot having the manna, and the rod of Aaron that budded, and the tables of the covenant,

el cual tenía un incensario de oro y el arca del pacto cubierta de oro por todas partes, en la que estaba una urna de oro que contenía el maná, la vara de Aarón que retoñó, y las tablas del pacto;

5 a nd over it cherubim of the glory, overshadowing the mercy-seat, concerning which we are not now to speak particularly.

y sobre ella los querubines de gloria que cubrían el propiciatorio; de las cuales cosas no es ahora el momento de hablar en detalle.

6 A nd these things having been thus prepared, into the first tabernacle, indeed, at all times the priests do go in, performing the services,

Y así preparadas estas cosas, en la primera parte del tabernáculo entran los sacerdotes continuamente para cumplir los oficios del culto;

7 a nd into the second, once in the year, only the chief priest, not apart from blood, which he doth offer for himself and the errors of the people,

pero en la segunda parte, sólo el sumo sacerdote una vez al año, no sin sangre, la cual ofrece por sí mismo y por los pecados de ignorancia del pueblo;

8 t he Holy Spirit this evidencing that not yet hath been manifested the way of the holy, the first tabernacle having yet a standing;

dando el Espíritu Santo a entender con esto que aún no se había manifestado el camino al santuario, mientras el primer tabernáculo estuviese en pie.

9 w hich a simile in regard to the present time, in which both gifts and sacrifices are offered, which are not able, in regard to conscience, to make perfect him who is serving,

Lo cual es un símbolo para el tiempo presente, según el cual se presentan ofrendas y sacrificios que no pueden hacer perfecto, en cuanto a la conciencia, al que practica ese culto,

10 o nly in victuals, and drinks, and different baptisms, and fleshly ordinances -- till the time of reformation imposed upon.

ya que consiste sólo en comidas y bebidas, en diversas abluciones, y en prescripciones carnales, impuestas hasta el tiempo de reformar las cosas.

11 A nd Christ being come, chief priest of the coming good things, through the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands -- that is, not of this creation --

Pero estando ya presente Cristo, como sumo sacerdote de los bienes venideros, entró por otro más amplio y más perfecto tabernáculo, no hecho de manos, es decir, no de esta creación,

12 n either through blood of goats and calves, but through his own blood, did enter in once into the holy places, age-during redemption having obtained;

y no por medio de la sangre de machos cabríos ni de becerros, sino por medio de su propia sangre, entró una vez para siempre en el santuario, habiendo obtenido eterna redención.

13 f or if the blood of bulls, and goats, and ashes of an heifer, sprinkling those defiled, doth sanctify to the purifying of the flesh,

Porque si la sangre de los toros y de los machos cabríos, y las cenizas de la becerra rociadas a los contaminados, santifican para la purificación de la carne,

14 h ow much more shall the blood of the Christ (who through the age-during Spirit did offer himself unblemished to God) purify your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

¿cuánto más la sangre de Cristo, el cual mediante el Espíritu eterno se ofreció a sí mismo sin mancha a Dios, purificará vuestras conciencias de obras muertas para que sirváis al Dios vivo?

15 A nd because of this, of a new covenant he is mediator, that, death having come, for redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, those called may receive the promise of the age-during inheritance,

Y por eso es mediador de un nuevo pacto, para que interviniendo muerte para redención de las transgresiones que había durante el primer pacto, los llamados reciban la promesa de la herencia eterna.

16 f or where a covenant, the death of the covenant-victim to come in is necessary,

Porque donde hay testamento, es necesario que ocurra la muerte del testador.

17 f or a covenant over dead victims stedfast, since it is no force at all when the covenant-victim liveth,

Porque un testamento es firme en caso de muerte; pues no tiene vigencia entretanto que el testador vive.

18 w hence not even the first apart from blood hath been initiated,

De donde ni aun el primer pacto fue inaugurado sin sangre.

19 f or every command having been spoken, according to law, by Moses, to all the people, having taken the blood of the calves and goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, he both the book itself and all the people did sprinkle,

Porque habiendo anunciado Moisés todos los mandamientos de la ley a todo el pueblo, tomó la sangre de los becerros y de los machos cabríos, con agua, lana escarlata e hisopo, y roció el libro mismo y también a todo el pueblo,

20 s aying, `This the blood of the covenant that God enjoined unto you,'

diciendo: Ésta es la sangre del pacto que Dios ha ordenado para vosotros.

21 a nd both the tabernacle and all the vessels of the service with blood in like manner he did sprinkle,

Y de la misma manera roció con la sangre tanto el tabernáculo como todos los vasos del ministerio.

22 a nd with blood almost all things are purified according to the law, and apart from blood-shedding forgiveness doth not come.

Y casi todo es purificado, según la ley, con sangre; y sin derramamiento de sangre, no hay perdón de pecados. El sacrificio de Cristo quita el pecado

23 n ecessary, therefore, the pattern indeed of the things in the heavens to be purified with these, and the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these;

Fue, pues, necesario que las figuras de las cosas celestiales fuesen purificadas así; pero las cosas celestiales mismas, con mejores sacrificios que éstos.

24 f or not into holy places made with hands did the Christ enter -- figures of the true -- but into the heaven itself, now to be manifested in the presence of God for us;

Porque no entró Cristo en un santuario hecho de mano, figura del verdadero, sino en el cielo mismo para presentarse ahora por nosotros en la presencia de Dios;

25 n or that he may many times offer himself, even as the chief priest doth enter into the holy places every year with blood of others;

ni tampoco para ofrecerse muchas veces, como entra el sumo sacerdote en el santuario cada año con sangre ajena;

26 s ince it had behoved him many times to suffer from the foundation of the world, but now once, at the full end of the ages, for putting away of sin through his sacrifice, he hath been manifested;

de otra manera le hubiera sido necesario padecer muchas veces desde la fundación del mundo; pero ahora, en la consumación de los siglos, ha sido manifestado una vez para siempre por el sacrificio de sí mismo para quitar de en medio el pecado.

27 a nd as it is laid up to men once to die, and after this -- judgment,

Y de la misma manera que está reservado a los hombres el morir una sola vez, y después de esto el juicio,

28 s o also the Christ, once having been offered to bear the sins of many, a second time, apart from a sin-offering, shall appear, to those waiting for him -- to salvation!

así también Cristo fue ofrecido una sola vez para llevar los pecados de muchos; y aparecerá por segunda vez, sin relación con el pecado, a los que le esperan ansiosamente para salvación.
