1 ` Thou dost not see the ox of thy brother or his sheep driven away, and hast hidden thyself from them, thou dost certainly turn them back to thy brother;

Si ves extraviado el buey de tu hermano, o su cordero, no te desentenderás de ellos; lo volverás a tu hermano.

2 a nd if thy brother not near unto thee, and thou hast not known him, then thou hast removed it unto the midst of thy house, and it hath been with thee till thy brother seek it, and thou hast given it back to him;

Y si tu hermano no es vecino tuyo, o no lo conoces, lo recogerás en tu casa, y estará contigo hasta que tu hermano lo busque, y se lo devolverás.

3 a nd so thou dost to his ass, and so thou dost to his garment, and so thou dost to any lost thing of thy brother's, which is lost by him, and thou hast found it; thou art not able to hide thyself.

Así harás con su asno, con su manto, y con toda cosa de tu hermano que se le pierda y tú la halles; no podrás desentenderte de ello.

4 ` Thou dost not see the ass of thy brother, or his ox, falling in the way, and hast hid thyself from them; thou dost certainly raise up with him.

Si ves el asno de tu hermano, o su buey, caído en el camino, no te apartarás de él; le ayudarás a levantarlo.

5 ` The habiliments of a man are not on a woman, nor doth a man put on the garment of a woman, for the abomination of Jehovah thy God any one doing these.

No vestirá la mujer traje de hombre, ni el hombre vestirá traje de mujer; porque abominación es a Jehová tu Dios cualquiera que esto hace.

6 ` When a bird's nest cometh before thee in the way, in any tree, or on the earth, brood or eggs, and the mother sitting on the brood or on the eggs, thou dost not take the mother with the young ones;

Cuando encuentres por el camino algún nido de ave en cualquier árbol, o sobre la tierra, con pollos o huevos, y la madre echada sobre los pollos o sobre los huevos, no tomarás la madre con los hijos.

7 t hou dost certainly send away the mother, and the young ones dost take to thyself, so that it is well with thee, and thou hast prolonged days.

Dejarás ir a la madre, y tomarás los pollos para ti, para que te vaya bien, y prolongues tus días.

8 ` When thou buildest a new house, then thou hast made a parapet to thy roof, and thou dost not put blood on thy house when one falleth from it.

Cuando edifiques casa nueva, harás pretil a tu terrado, para que no eches culpa de sangre sobre tu casa, si de él se cae alguno.

9 ` Thou dost not sow thy vineyard divers things, lest the fulness of the seed which thou dost sow, and the increase of the vineyard, be separated.

No sembrarás tu viña con semillas mezcladas, no sea que se pierda todo, tanto la semilla que sembraste como el fruto de la viña.

10 ` Thou dost not plow with an ox and with an ass together.

No ararás con buey y con asno juntamente.

11 ` Thou dost not put on a mixed cloth, wool and linen together.

No vestirás ropa de lana y lino juntamente.

12 ` Fringes thou dost make to thee on the four skirts of thy covering with which thou dost cover.

Te harás flecos en las cuatro puntas de tu manto con que te cubras. Leyes sobre la castidad

13 ` When a man taketh a wife, and hath gone in unto her, and hated her,

Cuando alguno tome mujer, y después de haberse llegado a ella le cobre aversión,

14 a nd laid against her actions of words, and brought out against her an evil name, and said, This woman I have taken, and I draw near unto her, and I have not found in her tokens of virginity:

y le atribuya faltas que den que hablar, y diga: A esta mujer tomé, y me llegué a ella, y no la hallé virgen;

15 ` Then hath the father of the damsel -- and her mother -- taken and brought out the tokens of virginity of the damsel unto the elders of the city in the gate,

entonces el padre de la joven y su madre tomarán y sacarán las señales de la virginidad de la doncella a los ancianos de la ciudad, en la puerta;

16 a nd the father of the damsel hath said unto the elders, My daughter I have given to this man for a wife, and he doth hate her;

y dirá el padre de la joven a los ancianos: Yo di mi hija a este hombre por mujer, y él la aborrece;

17 a nd lo, he hath laid actions of words, saying, I have not found to thy daughter tokens of virginity -- and these the tokens of the virginity of my daughter! and they have spread out the garment before the elders of the city.

y he aquí, él le atribuye faltas que dan que hablar, diciendo: No he hallado virgen a tu hija; pero ved aquí las señales de la virginidad de mi hija. Y extenderán la vestidura delante de los ancianos de la ciudad.

18 ` And the elders of that city have taken the man, and chastise him,

Entonces los ancianos de la ciudad tomarán al hombre y lo castigarán;

19 a nd fined him a hundred silverlings, and given to the father of the damsel, because he hath brought out an evil name on a virgin of Israel, and she is to him for a wife, he is not able to send her away all his days.

y le multarán en cien piezas de plata, las cuales darán al padre de la joven, por cuanto esparció mala fama sobre una virgen de Israel; y la tendrá por mujer, y no podrá despedirla en todos sus días.

20 ` And if this thing hath been truth -- tokens of virginity have not been found for the damsel --

Mas si resultare ser verdad que no se halló virginidad en la joven,

21 t hen they have brought out the damsel unto the opening of her father's house, and stoned her have the men of her city with stones, and she hath died, for she hath done folly in Israel, to go a-whoring her father's house; and thou hast put away the evil thing out of thy midst.

entonces la sacarán a la puerta de la casa de su padre, y la apedrearán los hombres de su ciudad, y morirá, por cuanto hizo vileza en Israel fornicando en casa de su padre; así quitarás el mal de en medio de ti. Adulterio o fornicación

22 ` When a man is found lying with a woman, married to a husband, then they have died even both of them, the man who is lying with the woman, also the woman; and thou hast put away the evil thing out of Israel.

Si se sorprende a un hombre acostado con una mujer casada, ambos morirán, el hombre que se acostó con la mujer, y la mujer también; así quitarás el mal de Israel.

23 ` When there is a damsel, a virgin, betrothed to a man, and a man hath found her in a city, and lain with her;

Si una muchacha virgen está prometida a un hombre, y otro la halla en la ciudad, y se acuesta con ella;

24 t hen ye have brought them both out unto the gate of that city, and stoned them with stones, and they have died: -- the damsel, because that she hath not cried, in a city; and the man, because that he hath humbled his neighbour's wife; and thou hast put away the evil thing out of thy midst.

entonces los sacaréis a ambos a la puerta de la ciudad, y los apedrearéis, y morirán; la joven porque no dio voces en la ciudad, y el hombre porque humilló a la mujer de su prójimo; así quitarás el mal de en medio de ti.

25 ` And if in a field the man find the damsel who is betrothed, and the man hath laid hold on her, and lain with her, then hath the man who hath lain with her died alone;

Mas si un hombre halló en el campo a la joven desposada, y la forzó, acostándose con ella, morirá solamente el hombre que se acostó con ella;

26 a nd to the damsel thou dost not do anything, the damsel hath no deadly sin; for as a man riseth against his neighbour and hath murdered him -- the life, so this thing;

mas a la joven no le harás nada; no hay en ella culpa de muerte; pues como cuando alguno se levanta contra su prójimo y le quita la vida, así es en este caso.

27 f or in a field he found her, she hath cried -- the damsel who is betrothed -- and she hath no saviour.

Porque él la halló en el campo; dio voces la joven desposada, y no hubo quien la librase.

28 ` When a man findeth a damsel, a virgin who is not betrothed, and hath caught her, and lain with her, and they have been found,

Cuando algún hombre halle a una joven virgen que no esté prometida, y la tome y se acueste con ella, y fueren descubiertos;

29 t hen hath the man who is lying with her given to the father of the damsel fifty silverlings, and to him she is for a wife; because that he hath humbled her, he is not able to send her away all his days.

entonces el hombre que se acostó con ella dará al padre de la joven cincuenta piezas de plata, y ella será su mujer, por cuanto la humilló; no la podrá despedir en todos sus días.

30 ` A man doth not take his father's wife, nor uncover his father's skirt.

Ninguno tomará la mujer de su padre, ni profanará el lecho de su padre.
