1 ` Thou dost not see the ox of thy brother or his sheep driven away, and hast hidden thyself from them, thou dost certainly turn them back to thy brother;

No verás extraviado el buey de tu hermano, o su oveja, sin que te ocupes de ellos; sin falta los llevarás a tu hermano.

2 a nd if thy brother not near unto thee, and thou hast not known him, then thou hast removed it unto the midst of thy house, and it hath been with thee till thy brother seek it, and thou hast given it back to him;

Y si tu hermano no vive cerca de ti, o si no lo conoces, entonces lo traerás a tu casa, y estará contigo hasta que tu hermano lo busque; entonces se lo devolverás.

3 a nd so thou dost to his ass, and so thou dost to his garment, and so thou dost to any lost thing of thy brother's, which is lost by him, and thou hast found it; thou art not able to hide thyself.

Así harás con su asno, y asimismo harás con su vestido; lo mismo harás con cualquier cosa perdida que tu hermano haya perdido y que tú halles. No te es permitido ignorarlos.

4 ` Thou dost not see the ass of thy brother, or his ox, falling in the way, and hast hid thyself from them; thou dost certainly raise up with him.

No verás el asno de tu hermano, o su buey, caído en el camino sin ocuparte de ellos; sin falta le ayudarás a levantar los.

5 ` The habiliments of a man are not on a woman, nor doth a man put on the garment of a woman, for the abomination of Jehovah thy God any one doing these.

La mujer no vestirá ropa de hombre, ni el hombre se pondrá ropa de mujer; porque cualquiera que hace esto es abominación al Señor tu Dios.

6 ` When a bird's nest cometh before thee in the way, in any tree, or on the earth, brood or eggs, and the mother sitting on the brood or on the eggs, thou dost not take the mother with the young ones;

Si encuentras un nido de pájaros por el camino, en un árbol o en la tierra, con polluelos o con huevos, y la madre echada sobre los polluelos o sobre los huevos, no tomarás la madre con los hijos;

7 t hou dost certainly send away the mother, and the young ones dost take to thyself, so that it is well with thee, and thou hast prolonged days.

sin falta dejarás ir a la madre, mas a los hijos los puedes tomar para ti, para que te vaya bien y prolongues tus días.

8 ` When thou buildest a new house, then thou hast made a parapet to thy roof, and thou dost not put blood on thy house when one falleth from it.

Cuando edifiques casa nueva, le harás un muro a tu azotea, para que no traigas culpa de sangre sobre tu casa si alguno se cayera de ella.

9 ` Thou dost not sow thy vineyard divers things, lest the fulness of the seed which thou dost sow, and the increase of the vineyard, be separated.

No sembrarás tu viña con dos clases de semilla, no sea que todo el fruto de la semilla que hayas sembrado y el producto de la viña queden inservibles.

10 ` Thou dost not plow with an ox and with an ass together.

No ararás con buey y asno juntos.

11 ` Thou dost not put on a mixed cloth, wool and linen together.

No vestirás ropa de material mezclado de lana y lino.

12 ` Fringes thou dost make to thee on the four skirts of thy covering with which thou dost cover.

Te harás borlas en las cuatro puntas del manto con que te cubras. Leyes sobre la moralidad

13 ` When a man taketh a wife, and hath gone in unto her, and hated her,

Si un hombre toma a una mujer y se llega a ella, y después la aborrece,

14 a nd laid against her actions of words, and brought out against her an evil name, and said, This woman I have taken, and I draw near unto her, and I have not found in her tokens of virginity:

y la acusa de actos vergonzosos y la difama públicamente, diciendo: “Tomé a esta mujer, pero al llegarme a ella no la encontré virgen”,

15 ` Then hath the father of the damsel -- and her mother -- taken and brought out the tokens of virginity of the damsel unto the elders of the city in the gate,

entonces el padre y la madre de la joven tomarán las pruebas de la virginidad de la joven y las llevarán a los ancianos de la ciudad, a la puerta.

16 a nd the father of the damsel hath said unto the elders, My daughter I have given to this man for a wife, and he doth hate her;

Y el padre de la joven dirá a los ancianos: “Di mi hija por mujer a este hombre, pero él la aborreció;

17 a nd lo, he hath laid actions of words, saying, I have not found to thy daughter tokens of virginity -- and these the tokens of the virginity of my daughter! and they have spread out the garment before the elders of the city.

y he aquí, él le atribuye actos vergonzosos, diciendo: ‘No encontré virgen a tu hija.’ Pero esta es la prueba de la virginidad de mi hija.” Y extenderán la ropa delante de los ancianos de la ciudad.

18 ` And the elders of that city have taken the man, and chastise him,

Y los ancianos de la ciudad tomarán al hombre y lo castigarán,

19 a nd fined him a hundred silverlings, and given to the father of the damsel, because he hath brought out an evil name on a virgin of Israel, and she is to him for a wife, he is not able to send her away all his days.

y le pondrán una multa de cien siclos de plata, que darán al padre de la joven, porque difamó públicamente a una virgen de Israel. Y ella seguirá siendo su mujer; no podrá despedirla en todos sus días.

20 ` And if this thing hath been truth -- tokens of virginity have not been found for the damsel --

Pero si el asunto es verdad, que la joven no fue hallada virgen,

21 t hen they have brought out the damsel unto the opening of her father's house, and stoned her have the men of her city with stones, and she hath died, for she hath done folly in Israel, to go a-whoring her father's house; and thou hast put away the evil thing out of thy midst.

entonces llevarán a la joven a la puerta de la casa de su padre, y los hombres de su ciudad la apedrearán hasta que muera, porque ella ha cometido una infamia en Israel prostituyéndose en la casa de su padre; así quitarás el mal de en medio de ti.

22 ` When a man is found lying with a woman, married to a husband, then they have died even both of them, the man who is lying with the woman, also the woman; and thou hast put away the evil thing out of Israel.

Si se encuentra a un hombre acostado con una mujer casada, los dos morirán, el hombre que se acostó con la mujer, y la mujer; así quitarás el mal de Israel.

23 ` When there is a damsel, a virgin, betrothed to a man, and a man hath found her in a city, and lain with her;

Si hay una joven virgen que está comprometida a un hombre, y otro hombre la encuentra en la ciudad y se acuesta con ella,

24 t hen ye have brought them both out unto the gate of that city, and stoned them with stones, and they have died: -- the damsel, because that she hath not cried, in a city; and the man, because that he hath humbled his neighbour's wife; and thou hast put away the evil thing out of thy midst.

entonces llevaréis a los dos a la puerta de esa ciudad y los apedrearéis hasta que mueran; la joven, porque no dio voces en la ciudad, y el hombre, porque ha violado a la mujer de su prójimo; así quitarás el mal de en medio de ti.

25 ` And if in a field the man find the damsel who is betrothed, and the man hath laid hold on her, and lain with her, then hath the man who hath lain with her died alone;

Pero si el hombre encuentra en el campo a la joven que está comprometida, y el hombre la fuerza y se acuesta con ella; entonces morirá sólo el que se acuesta con ella,

26 a nd to the damsel thou dost not do anything, the damsel hath no deadly sin; for as a man riseth against his neighbour and hath murdered him -- the life, so this thing;

no harás nada a la joven; no hay en la joven pecado digno de muerte, porque como cuando un hombre se levanta contra su vecino y lo mata, así es este caso;

27 f or in a field he found her, she hath cried -- the damsel who is betrothed -- and she hath no saviour.

cuando él la encontró en el campo, la joven comprometida dio voces, pero no había nadie que la salvara.

28 ` When a man findeth a damsel, a virgin who is not betrothed, and hath caught her, and lain with her, and they have been found,

Si un hombre encuentra a una joven virgen que no está comprometida, y se apodera de ella y se acuesta con ella, y son descubiertos,

29 t hen hath the man who is lying with her given to the father of the damsel fifty silverlings, and to him she is for a wife; because that he hath humbled her, he is not able to send her away all his days.

entonces el hombre que se acostó con ella dará cincuenta siclos de plata al padre de la joven, y ella será su mujer porque la ha violado; no podrá despedirla en todos sus días.

30 ` A man doth not take his father's wife, nor uncover his father's skirt.

Ninguno tomará a la mujer de su padre para que no descubra la vestidura de su padre.
