1 A nd the sons of Israel add to do the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah when Ehud is dead,

Cuando murió Aod, los hijos de Israel volvieron a hacer lo malo ante los ojos del Señor.

2 a nd Jehovah selleth them into the hand of Jabin king of Canaan, who hath reigned in Hazor, and the head of his host Sisera, and he is dwelling in Harosheth of the Goyim;

Y el Señor los vendió en mano de Jabín, rey de Canaán, que reinaba en Hazor. El comandante de su ejército era Sísara, que vivía en Haroset-goim.

3 a nd the sons of Israel cry unto Jehovah, for he hath nine hundred chariots of iron, and he hath oppressed the sons of Israel mightily twenty years.

Y los hijos de Israel clamaron al Señor, porque aquél tenía novecientos carros de hierro y había oprimido duramente a los hijos de Israel por veinte años.

4 A nd Deborah, a woman inspired, wife of Lapidoth, she is judging Israel at that time,

Débora, profetisa, mujer de Lapidot, juzgaba a Israel en aquel tiempo;

5 a nd she is dwelling under the palm-tree of Deborah, between Ramah and Beth-El, in the hill-country of Ephraim, and the sons of Israel go up unto her for judgment.

y se sentaba debajo de la palmera de Débora entre Ramá y Betel, en la región montañosa de Efraín; y los hijos de Israel subían a ella a pedir juicio.

6 A nd she sendeth and calleth for Barak son of Abinoam, out of Kedesh-Naphtali, and saith unto him, `Hath not Jehovah, God of Israel, commanded? go, and thou hast drawn towards mount Tabor, and hast taken with thee ten thousand men, out of the sons of Naphtali, and out of the sons of Zebulun,

Y ella mandó llamar a Barac, hijo de Abinoam, de Cedes de Neftalí, y le dijo: Esto ha ordenado el Señor, Dios de Israel: “Ve, marcha al monte Tabor y lleva contigo a diez mil hombres de los hijos de Neftalí y de los hijos de Zabulón.

7 a nd I have drawn unto thee, unto the brook Kishon, Sisera, head of the host of Jabin, and his chariot, and his multitude, and have given him into thy hand.'

“Y yo atraeré hacia ti a Sísara, comandante del ejército de Jabín, con sus carros y sus muchas tropas al torrente Cisón, y lo entregaré en tus manos.”

8 A nd Barak saith unto her, `If thou dost go with me, then I have gone; and if thou dost not go with me, I do not go;'

Le respondió Barac: Si tú vas conmigo, yo iré; pero si no vas conmigo, no iré.

9 a nd she saith, `I do certainly go with thee; only, surely thy glory is not on the way which thou art going, for into the hand of a woman doth Jehovah sell Sisera;' and Deborah riseth and goeth with Barak to Kedesh.

Y ella dijo: Ciertamente iré contigo; sin embargo, el honor no será tuyo en la jornada que vas a emprender, porque el Señor venderá a Sísara en manos de una mujer. Entonces Débora se levantó y fue con Barac a Cedes.

10 A nd Barak calleth Zebulun and Naphtali to Kedesh, and he goeth up -- at his feet ten thousand men -- and Deborah goeth up with him.

Y Barac convocó a Zabulón y a Neftalí en Cedes, y subieron con él diez mil hombres; Débora también subió con él.

11 A nd Heber the Kenite hath been separated from the Kenite, from the sons of Hobab father-in-law of Moses, and he stretcheth out his tent unto the oak in Zaanaim, which by Kedesh.

Y Heber ceneo, se había separado de los ceneos, de los hijos de Hobab, suegro de Moisés, y había plantado su tienda cerca de la encina en Zaanaim, que está junto a Cedes. Derrota y muerte de Sísara

12 A nd they declare to Sisera that Barak son of Abinoam hath gone up to mount Tabor,

Avisaron a Sísara que Barac, hijo de Abinoam, había subido al monte Tabor.

13 a nd Sisera calleth all his chariots, nine hundred chariots of iron, and all the people who with him, from Harosheth of the Goyim, unto the brook Kishon.

Y juntó Sísara todos sus carros, novecientos carros de hierro, y a todo el pueblo que estaba con él, desde Haroset-goim hasta el torrente Cisón.

14 A nd Deborah saith unto Barak, `Rise, for this the day in which Jehovah hath given Sisera into thy hand; hath not Jehovah gone out before thee?' And Barak goeth down from mount Tabor, and ten thousand men after him.

Entonces Débora dijo a Barac: ¡Levántate!, porque este es el día en que el Señor ha entregado a Sísara en tus manos; he aquí, el Señor ha salido delante de ti. Bajó, pues, Barac del monte Tabor seguido de diez mil hombres.

15 A nd Jehovah destroyeth Sisera, and all the chariots, and all the camp, by the mouth of the sword, before Barak, and Sisera cometh down from off the chariot, and fleeth on his feet.

Y el Señor derrotó a Sísara, con todos sus carros y todo su ejército, a filo de espada delante de Barac; y Sísara bajó de su carro, y huyó a pie.

16 A nd Barak hath pursued after the chariots and after the camp, unto Harosheth of the Goyim, and all the camp of Sisera falleth by the mouth of the sword -- there hath not been left even one.

Mas Barac persiguió los carros y el ejército hasta Haroset-goim, y todo el ejército de Sísara cayó a filo de espada; no quedó ni uno.

17 A nd Sisera hath fled on his feet unto the tent of Jael wife of Heber the Kenite, for peace between Jabin king of Hazor and the house of Heber the Kenite;

Pero Sísara huyó a pie a la tienda de Jael, mujer de Heber ceneo; porque había paz entre Jabín, rey de Hazor, y la casa de Heber ceneo.

18 a nd Jael goeth out to meet Sisera, and saith unto him, `Turn aside, my lord, turn aside unto me, fear not;' and he turneth aside unto her, into the tent, and she covereth him with a coverlet.

Y Jael salió al encuentro de Sísara, y le dijo: Ven, señor mío, ven a mí; no temas. Y él fue hacia ella a la tienda, y ella lo cubrió con una manta.

19 A nd he saith unto her, `Give me to drink, I pray thee, a little water, for I am thirsty;' and she openeth the bottle of milk, and giveth him to drink, and covereth him.

Y él le dijo: Te ruego que me des de beber un poco de agua, porque tengo sed. Y ella abrió un odre de leche y le dio de beber; entonces lo cubrió.

20 A nd he saith unto her, `Stand at the opening of the tent, and it hath been, if any doth come in, and hath asked thee, and said, Is there a man here? that thou hast said, There is not.'

Entonces él le dijo: Ponte a la entrada de la tienda, y si alguien viene, y te pregunta, y te dice: “¿Hay alguien aquí?”, tú responderás: “No.”

21 A nd Jael wife of Heber taketh the pin of the tent, and taketh the hammer in her hand, and goeth unto him gently, and striketh the pin into his temples, and it fasteneth in the earth -- and he hath been fast asleep, and is weary -- and he dieth.

Pero Jael, mujer de Heber, tomó una estaca de la tienda y tomando en la mano un martillo, se le acercó silenciosamente y le clavó la estaca en las sienes, la cual penetró en la tierra, pues él estaba profundamente dormido y agotado, y murió.

22 A nd lo, Barak is pursuing Sisera, and Jael cometh out to meet him, and saith to him, `Come, and I shew thee the man whom thou art seeking;' and he cometh in unto her, and lo, Sisera is fallen -- dead, and the pin in his temples.

Y he aquí, cuando Barac perseguía a Sísara, Jael salió a su encuentro, y le dijo: Ven, y te mostraré al hombre que buscas. Y él entró con ella, y he aquí que Sísara yacía muerto con la estaca en la sien.

23 A nd God humbleth on that day Jabin king of Canaan before the sons of Israel,

Así sometió Dios en aquel día a Jabín, rey de Canaán, delante de los hijos de Israel.

24 a nd the hand of the sons of Israel goeth, going on and becoming hard on Jabin king of Canaan, till that they have cut off Jabin king of Canaan.

Y la mano de los hijos de Israel se hizo más y más dura sobre Jabín, rey de Canaán, hasta que lo destruyeron.
