1 W o to shepherds destroying, And scattering the flock of My pasture, An affirmation of Jehovah.

¡Ay de los pastores que destruyen y dispersan las ovejas de mis prados! —declara el Señor.

2 T herefore, thus said Jehovah, God of Israel, Against the shepherds who feed My people, Ye have scattered My flock, and drive them away, And have not inspected them, Lo, I am charging on you the evil of your doings, An affirmation of Jehovah.

Por tanto, así dice el Señor, Dios de Israel, acerca de los pastores que apacientan a mi pueblo: Vosotros habéis dispersado mis ovejas y las habéis ahuyentado, y no os habéis ocupado de ellas; he aquí, yo me ocuparé de vosotros por la maldad de vuestras obras —declara el Señor.

3 A nd I do gather the remnant of My flock Out of all the lands whither I drove them, And have brought them back unto their fold, And they have been fruitful, and multiplied.

Yo mismo reuniré el remanente de mis ovejas de todas las tierras adonde las he echado, y las haré volver a sus pastos; y crecerán y se multiplicarán.

4 A nd I have raised for them shepherds, And they have fed them, And they fear no more, nor are affrighted, Nor are they lacking -- an affirmation of Jehovah.

Pondré sobre ellas pastores que las apacentarán, y nunca más tendrán temor, ni se aterrarán, ni faltará ninguna —declara el Señor.

5 L o, days are coming -- an affirmation of Jehovah, And I have raised to David a righteous shoot, And a king hath reigned and acted wisely, And done judgment and righteousness in the earth.

He aquí, vienen días —declara el Señor — en que levantaré a David un Renuevo justo; y El reinará como rey, actuará sabiamente, y practicará el derecho y la justicia en la tierra.

6 I n his days is Judah saved, and Israel dwelleth confidently, And this his name that Jehovah proclaimeth him, `Our Righteousness.'

En sus días será salvo Judá, e Israel morará seguro; y este es su nombre por el cual será llamado: “El Señor, justicia nuestra.”

7 T herefore, lo, days are coming, An affirmation of Jehovah, And they do not say any more, Jehovah liveth who brought up The sons of Israel out of the land of Egypt,

Por tanto, he aquí, vienen días —declara el Señor — cuando no dirán más: “Vive el Señor, que hizo subir a los hijos de Israel de la tierra de Egipto ”,

8 B ut -- Jehovah liveth, who brought up, And who brought in, the seed of the house of Israel, From the land of the north, And from all the lands whither I drove them, And they have dwelt on their own ground!

sino: “Vive el Señor que hizo subir y trajo a los descendientes de la casa de Israel de la tierra del norte y de todas las tierras adonde los había echado”; y habitarán en su propio suelo.

9 I n reference to the prophets: Broken hath been my heart in my midst, Fluttered have all my bones, I have been as a man -- a drunkard, And as a man -- wine hath passed over him, Because of Jehovah, and of His holy words.

En cuanto a los profetas: quebrantado está mi corazón dentro de mí, tiemblan todos mis huesos; estoy como un ebrio, como un hombre a quien domina el vino, por causa del Señor y por causa de sus santas palabras.

10 F or of adulterers hath the land been full, For because of these hath the land mourned, Dried up hath been the pleasant places of the wilderness, And their course is evil, and their might -- not right.

Porque la tierra está llena de adúlteros; porque a causa de la maldición se ha enlutado la tierra, se han secado los pastos del desierto. Pues es mala la carrera de ellos y su poderío no es recto.

11 F or both prophet and priest have been profane, Yea, in My house I found their wickedness, An affirmation of Jehovah.

Porque tanto el profeta como el sacerdote están corrompidos; aun en mi casa he hallado su maldad —declara el Señor.

12 T herefore is their way to them as slippery places, Into thick darkness they are driven, And they have fallen in it, For I bring in against them evil, The year of their inspection, An affirmation of Jehovah.

Por tanto, su camino será para ellos como resbaladeros; a las tinieblas serán empujados y en ellas caerán; porque traeré sobre ellos calamidad el año de su castigo —declara el Señor.

13 A nd in prophets of Samaria I have seen folly, They have prophesied by Baal, And cause my people -- Israel -- to err.

Además, entre los profetas de Samaria he visto algo ofensivo: profetizaban en nombre de Baal y extraviaban a mi pueblo Israel.

14 A nd in prophets of Jerusalem I have seen a horrible thing, Committing adultery, and walking falsely, Yea, they strengthened the hands of evil doers, So that they have not turned back Each from his wickedness, They have been to me -- all of them -- as Sodom, And its inhabitants as Gomorrah.

También entre los profetas de Jerusalén he visto algo horrible: cometían adulterio y andaban en mentiras; fortalecían las manos de los malhechores, sin convertirse ninguno de su maldad. Se me han vuelto todos ellos como Sodoma, y sus habitantes como Gomorra.

15 T herefore, thus said Jehovah of Hosts, concerning the prophets: Lo, I am causing them to eat wormwood, And have caused them to drink water of gall, For, from prophets of Jerusalem Hath profanity gone forth to all the land.

Por tanto, así dice el Señor de los ejércitos acerca de los profetas: “He aquí, les daré de comer ajenjo y les daré de beber agua envenenada, porque de los profetas de Jerusalén ha salido la corrupción por toda la tierra.”

16 T hus said Jehovah of Hosts: Ye do not hearken unto the words Of the prophets who are prophesying to you, They are making you vain things, A vision of their own heart they speak, Not from the mouth of Jehovah.

Así dice el Señor de los ejércitos: No escuchéis las palabras de los profetas que os profetizan. Ellos os conducen hacia lo vano; os cuentan la visión de su propia fantasía, no de la boca del Señor.

17 S aying diligently to those despising The word of Jehovah: Peace is for you, And every one walking in the stubbornness of his heart they have said: Evil doth not come in unto you.

Dicen de continuo a los que me desprecian: “El Señor ha dicho: ‘Tendréis paz ’”; y a todo el que anda en la terquedad de su corazón dicen: “No vendrá calamidad sobre vosotros.”

18 F or who hath stood in the counsel of Jehovah, And seeth and heareth His word? Who hath regarded My word, and hearkeneth?

Pero ¿quién ha estado en el consejo del Señor, y vio y oyó su palabra ? ¿Quién ha prestado atención a su palabra y la ha escuchado ?

19 L o, a whirlwind of Jehovah -- Fury hath gone out, even a piercing whirlwind, On the head of the wicked it stayeth.

He aquí, la tempestad del Señor ha salido con furor, un torbellino impetuoso descargará sobre la cabeza de los impíos.

20 T he anger of Jehovah doth not turn back Till His doing, and till His establishing, The thoughts of His heart, In the latter end of the days ye attend to it With understanding.

No se apartará la ira del Señor hasta que haya realizado y llevado a cabo los propósitos de su corazón. En los postreros días lo entenderéis claramente.

21 I have not sent the prophets, and they have run, I have not spoken unto them, and they have prophesied.

Yo no envié a esos profetas, pero ellos corrieron; no les hablé, mas ellos profetizaron.

22 B ut -- if they stood in My counsel, Then they cause My people to hear My words, And they turn them back from their evil way, And from the evil of their doings.

Pero si ellos hubieran estado en mi consejo, habrían hecho oír mis palabras a mi pueblo, y les habrían hecho volver de su mal camino y de la maldad de sus obras.

23 A God near I -- an affirmation of Jehovah, And not a God afar off?

¿Soy yo un Dios de cerca —declara el Señor — y no un Dios de lejos ?

24 I s any one hidden in secret places, And I see him not? an affirmation of Jehovah, Do not I fill the heavens and the earth? An affirmation of Jehovah.

¿Podrá alguno esconderse en escondites de modo que yo no lo vea ? —declara el Señor. ¿No lleno yo los cielos y la tierra? —declara el Señor.

25 I have heard that which the prophets said, Who prophesy in My name falsehood, saying, `I have dreamed, I have dreamed.'

He oído lo que dicen los profetas que profetizan mentira en mi nombre, diciendo: “¡He tenido un sueño, he tenido un sueño!”

26 T ill when is it in the heart of the prophets? The prophets of falsehood, Yea, prophets of the deceit of their heart,

¿Hasta cuándo? ¿Qué hay en los corazones de los profetas que profetizan la mentira, de los profetas que proclaman el engaño de su corazón,

27 W ho are devising to cause My people To forget My name by their dreams, That they recount each to his neighbour, As their fathers forgot my name for Baal.

que tratan de que mi pueblo se olvide de mi nombre con los sueños que se cuentan unos a otros, tal como sus padres olvidaron mi nombre a causa de Baal ?

28 T he prophet with whom a dream, Let him recount the dream, And he with whom My word, Let him truly speak My word. What -- to the straw with the corn? An affirmation of Jehovah.

El profeta que tenga un sueño, que cuente su sueño, pero el que tenga mi palabra, que hable mi palabra con fidelidad. ¿Qué tiene que ver la paja con el grano? —declara el Señor.

29 I s it not thus? My word as a fire, An affirmation of Jehovah. And as a hammer -- it breaketh in pieces a rock.

¿No es mi palabra como fuego —declara el Señor — y como martillo que despedaza la roca ?

30 T herefore, lo, I against the prophets, An affirmation of Jehovah, Stealing My words each from his neighbour.

Por tanto, he aquí, estoy contra los profetas —declara el Señor — que se roban mis palabras el uno al otro.

31 L o, I against the prophets, An affirmation of Jehovah, Who are making smooth their tongue, And they affirm -- an affirmation.

He aquí, estoy contra los profetas —declara el Señor — que usan sus lenguas y dicen: “ El Señor declara.”

32 L o, I against the prophets of false dreams, An affirmation of Jehovah, And they recount them, and cause my people to err, By their falsehoods, and by their instability, And I -- I have not sent them, Nor have I commanded them, And they are not at all profitable to this people, An affirmation of Jehovah.

He aquí, estoy contra los que profetizan sueños falsos —declara el Señor — y los cuentan y hacen errar a mi pueblo con sus mentiras y sus presunciones, cuando yo no los envié ni les di órdenes, ni son de provecho alguno para este pueblo —declara el Señor.

33 A nd when this people, or the prophet, Or a priest, doth ask thee, saying, What the burden of Jehovah? Then thou hast said unto them: Ye the burden, and I have left you, An affirmation of Jehovah.

Y cuando te pregunte este pueblo, o el profeta, o sacerdote, diciendo: “¿Cuál es la profecía del Señor ?”, les dirás: “¿Cuál profecía?” El Señor declara: “Yo os abandonaré.”

34 A nd the prophet, and the priest, and the people, That saith, The burden of Jehovah, I have seen after that man, and after his house.

Y al profeta, al sacerdote o al pueblo que diga: “Profecía del Señor ”, traeré castigo sobre tal hombre y sobre su casa.

35 T hus do ye say each unto his neighbour, And each unto his brother: What hath Jehovah answered? And what hath Jehovah spoken?

Así diréis cada uno a su prójimo y cada uno a su hermano: “¿Qué ha respondido el Señor ? ¿Qué ha hablado el Señor ?”

36 A nd the burden of Jehovah ye do not mention any more, For the burden to each is -- His word, And ye have overturned the words of the living God, Jehovah of Hosts, our God.

Y no os acordaréis más de la profecía del Señor, porque la palabra de cada uno le será por profecía, pues habéis pervertido las palabras del Dios viviente, del Señor de los ejércitos, nuestro Dios.

37 T hus dost thou say unto the prophet What hath Jehovah answered thee? And what hath Jehovah spoken?

Así dirás al profeta: “¿Qué te ha respondido el Señor ? ¿Qué ha hablado el Señor ?”

38 A nd if the burden of Jehovah ye say, Therefore thus said Jehovah: Because of your saying this word, The burden of Jehovah, And I do send unto you, saying, Ye do not say, The burden of Jehovah.

Pero si decís: “¡Profecía del Señor!”, entonces así dice el Señor: “Por cuanto habéis dicho esta palabra: ‘¡Profecía del Señor!’, habiendo yo enviado a deciros: ‘No digáis: “¡Profecía del Señor!”’”,

39 T herefore, lo, I -- I have taken you utterly away, And I have sent you out, And the city that I gave to you, And to your fathers, from before My face,

por tanto, he aquí, ciertamente me olvidaré de vosotros y os echaré de mi presencia, junto con la ciudad que os di a vosotros y a vuestros padres;

40 A nd I have put on you reproach age-during, And shame age-during that is not forgotten!

y pondré sobre vosotros oprobio eterno y humillación eterna que nunca será olvidada.
