1 A nd God remembereth Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle which with him in the ark, and God causeth a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters subside,

Y se acordó Dios de Noé y de todas las bestias y de todo el ganado que estaban con él en el arca; y Dios hizo pasar un viento sobre la tierra y decrecieron las aguas.

2 a nd closed are the fountains of the deep and the net-work of the heavens, and restrained is the shower from the heavens.

Y se cerraron las fuentes del abismo y las compuertas del cielo, y se detuvo la lluvia del cielo.

3 A nd turn back do the waters from off the earth, going on and returning; and the waters are lacking at the end of a hundred and fifty days.

Las aguas bajaron gradualmente de sobre la tierra, y al cabo de ciento cincuenta días, las aguas habían decrecido.

4 A nd the ark resteth, in the seventh month, in the seventeenth day of the month, on mountains of Ararat;

Y en el mes séptimo, el día diecisiete del mes, el arca descansó sobre los montes de Ararat.

5 a nd the waters have been going and becoming lacking till the tenth month; in the tenth, on the first of the month, appeared the heads of the mountains.

Las aguas fueron decreciendo paulatinamente hasta el mes décimo; y el día primero del mes décimo, se vieron las cimas de los montes.

6 A nd it cometh to pass, at the end of forty days, that Noah openeth the window of the ark which he made,

Y aconteció que al cabo de cuarenta días, Noé abrió la ventana del arca que él había hecho,

7 a nd he sendeth forth the raven, and it goeth out, going out and turning back till the drying of the waters from off the earth.

y envió un cuervo, que estuvo yendo y viniendo hasta que se secaron las aguas sobre la tierra.

8 A nd he sendeth forth the dove from him to see whether the waters have been lightened from off the face of the ground,

Después envió una paloma para ver si las aguas habían disminuido sobre la superficie de la tierra,

9 a nd the dove hath not found rest for the sole of her foot, and she turneth back unto him, unto the ark, for waters on the face of all the earth, and he putteth out his hand, and taketh her, and bringeth her in unto him, unto the ark.

pero la paloma no encontró lugar donde posarse, de modo que volvió a él, al arca, porque las aguas estaban sobre la superficie de toda la tierra. Entonces extendió su mano, la tomó y la metió consigo en el arca.

10 A nd he stayeth yet other seven days, and addeth to send forth the dove from the ark;

Esperó aún otros siete días, y volvió a enviar la paloma desde el arca.

11 a nd the dove cometh in unto him at even-time, and lo, an olive leaf torn off in her mouth; and Noah knoweth that the waters have been lightened from off the earth.

Y hacia el atardecer la paloma regresó a él, y he aquí, en su pico traía una hoja de olivo recién arrancada. Entonces Noé comprendió que las aguas habían disminuido sobre la tierra.

12 A nd he stayeth yet other seven days, and sendeth forth the dove, and it added not to turn back unto him any more.

Esperó aún otros siete días, y envió la paloma, pero ya no volvió más a él. Noé sale del arca

13 A nd it cometh to pass in the six hundredth and first year, in the first, in the first of the month, the waters have been dried from off the earth; and Noah turneth aside the covering of the ark, and looketh, and lo, the face of the ground hath been dried.

Y aconteció que en el año seiscientos uno de Noé, en el mes primero, el día primero del mes, se secaron las aguas sobre la tierra. Entonces Noé quitó la cubierta del arca y miró, y he aquí, estaba seca la superficie de la tierra.

14 A nd in the second month, in the seven and twentieth day of the month, the earth hath become dry.

Y en el mes segundo, el día veintisiete del mes, estaba seca la tierra.

15 A nd God speaketh unto Noah, saying, `Go out from the ark, thou, and thy wife, and thy sons, and thy sons' wives with thee;

Entonces habló Dios a Noé, diciendo:

16 e very living thing that with thee, of all flesh, among fowl, and among cattle, and among every creeping thing which is creeping on the earth, bring out with thee;

Sal del arca tú, y contigo tu mujer, tus hijos y las mujeres de tus hijos.

17 a nd they have teemed in the earth, and been fruitful, and have multiplied on the earth.'

Saca contigo todo ser viviente de toda carne que está contigo: aves, ganados y todo reptil que se arrastra sobre la tierra, para que se reproduzcan en abundancia sobre la tierra, y sean fecundos y se multipliquen sobre la tierra.

18 A nd Noah goeth out, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him;

Salió, pues, Noé, y con él sus hijos y su mujer y las mujeres de sus hijos.

19 e very beast, every creeping thing, and every fowl; every creeping thing on the earth, after their families, have gone out from the ark.

Y todas las bestias, todos los reptiles, todas las aves y todo lo que se mueve sobre la tierra, salieron del arca según sus familias.

20 A nd Noah buildeth an altar to Jehovah, and taketh of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and causeth burnt-offerings to ascend on the altar;

Y edificó Noé un altar al Señor, y tomó de todo animal limpio y de toda ave limpia, y ofreció holocaustos en el altar.

21 a nd Jehovah smelleth the sweet fragrance, and Jehovah saith unto His heart, `I continue not to disesteem any more the ground because of man, though the imagination of the heart of man evil from his youth; and I continue not to smite any more all living, as I have done;

Y el Señor percibió el aroma agradable, y dijo el Señor para sí: Nunca más volveré a maldecir la tierra por causa del hombre, porque la intención del corazón del hombre es mala desde su juventud; nunca más volveré a destruir todo ser viviente como lo he hecho.

22 d uring all days of the earth, seed-time and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night, do not cease.'

Mientras la tierra permanezca, la siembra y la siega, el frío y el calor, el verano y el invierno, el día y la noche, nunca cesarán.
