1 A nd God remembereth Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle which with him in the ark, and God causeth a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters subside,

Dumnezeu Şi -a adus aminte de Noe, de toate vieţuitoarele şi de toate vitele cari erau cu el în corabie; şi Dumnezeu a făcut să sufle un vînt pe pămînt, şi apele s'au potolit.

2 a nd closed are the fountains of the deep and the net-work of the heavens, and restrained is the shower from the heavens.

Izvoarele Adîncului şi stăvilarele cerurilor au fost închise, şi ploaia din cer a fost oprită.

3 A nd turn back do the waters from off the earth, going on and returning; and the waters are lacking at the end of a hundred and fifty days.

Apele au scăzut de pe faţa pămîntului, scurgîndu-se şi împuţinîndu-se, şi, după o sutăcincizeci de zile, apele s'au micşorat.

4 A nd the ark resteth, in the seventh month, in the seventeenth day of the month, on mountains of Ararat;

În luna a şaptea, în ziua a şaptesprezecea a lunii, corabia s'a oprit pe munţii Ararat.

5 a nd the waters have been going and becoming lacking till the tenth month; in the tenth, on the first of the month, appeared the heads of the mountains.

Apele au mers scăzînd pînă în luna a zecea. În luna a zecea, în ziua întîi a lunii, s'au văzut vîrfurile munţilor.

6 A nd it cometh to pass, at the end of forty days, that Noah openeth the window of the ark which he made,

După patruzeci de zile, Noe a deschis fereastra corăbiei pe care o făcuse.

7 a nd he sendeth forth the raven, and it goeth out, going out and turning back till the drying of the waters from off the earth.

A dat drumul unui corb, care a ieşit, ducîndu-se şi întorcîndu-se, pînă cînd au secat apele de pe pămînt.

8 A nd he sendeth forth the dove from him to see whether the waters have been lightened from off the face of the ground,

A dat drumul şi unui porumbel, ca să vadă dacă scăzuseră apele de pe faţa pămîntului.

9 a nd the dove hath not found rest for the sole of her foot, and she turneth back unto him, unto the ark, for waters on the face of all the earth, and he putteth out his hand, and taketh her, and bringeth her in unto him, unto the ark.

Dar porumbelul n'a găsit nici un loc ca să-şi pună piciorul, şi s'a întors la el în corabie, căci erau ape pe toată faţa pămîntului. Noe a întins mîna, l -a luat, şi l -a băgat la el în corabie.

10 A nd he stayeth yet other seven days, and addeth to send forth the dove from the ark;

A mai aşteptat alte şapte zile, şi iarăş a dat drumul porumbelului din corabie.

11 a nd the dove cometh in unto him at even-time, and lo, an olive leaf torn off in her mouth; and Noah knoweth that the waters have been lightened from off the earth.

Porumbelul s'a întors la el spre seară; şi iată că în ciocul lui era o frunză de măslin ruptă de curînd. Noe a cunoscut astfel că apele scăzuseră pe pămînt.

12 A nd he stayeth yet other seven days, and sendeth forth the dove, and it added not to turn back unto him any more.

A mai aşteptat alte şapte zile; şi a dat drumul porumbelului. Dar porumbelul nu s'a mai întors la el.

13 A nd it cometh to pass in the six hundredth and first year, in the first, in the first of the month, the waters have been dried from off the earth; and Noah turneth aside the covering of the ark, and looketh, and lo, the face of the ground hath been dried.

În anul şase sute unu, în luna întîi, în ziua întîi a lunii, apele secaseră pe pămînt. Noe a ridicat învelitoarea corăbiei: s'a uitat, şi iată că faţa pămîntului se uscase.

14 A nd in the second month, in the seven and twentieth day of the month, the earth hath become dry.

În luna a doua, în a douăzeci şi şaptea zi a lunii, pămîntul era uscat de tot.

15 A nd God speaketh unto Noah, saying, `Go out from the ark, thou, and thy wife, and thy sons, and thy sons' wives with thee;

Atunci Dumnezeu a vorbit lui Noe, şi i -a zis:

16 e very living thing that with thee, of all flesh, among fowl, and among cattle, and among every creeping thing which is creeping on the earth, bring out with thee;

Ieşi din corabie, tu şi nevastă-ta, fiii tăi şi nevestele fiilor tăi cu tine!

17 a nd they have teemed in the earth, and been fruitful, and have multiplied on the earth.'

Scoate afară împreună cu tine toate vieţuitoarele de tot felul cari sînt cu tine, atît păsările cît şi vitele şi toate tîrîtoarele cari se tîrăsc pe pămînt: să mişune pe pămînt, să crească şi să se înmulţească pe pămînt.``

18 A nd Noah goeth out, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him;

Şi Noe a ieşit afară cu fiii săi, cu nevastă-sa şi cu nevestele fiilor săi.

19 e very beast, every creeping thing, and every fowl; every creeping thing on the earth, after their families, have gone out from the ark.

Toate dobitoacele, toate tîrîtoarele, toate păsările, tot ce se mişcă pe pămînt, după soiurile lor, au ieşit din corabie.

20 A nd Noah buildeth an altar to Jehovah, and taketh of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and causeth burnt-offerings to ascend on the altar;

Noe a zidit un altar Domnului; a luat din toate dobitoacele curate şi din toate păsările curate, şi a adus arderi de tot pe altar.

21 a nd Jehovah smelleth the sweet fragrance, and Jehovah saith unto His heart, `I continue not to disesteem any more the ground because of man, though the imagination of the heart of man evil from his youth; and I continue not to smite any more all living, as I have done;

Domnul a mirosit un miros plăcut; şi Domnul a zis în inima Lui:,, Nu voi mai blestema pămîntul, din pricina omului, pentrucă întocmirile gîndurilor din inima omului sînt rele din tinereţa lui; şi nu voi mai lovi tot ce este viu, cum am făcut.

22 d uring all days of the earth, seed-time and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night, do not cease.'

Cît va fi pămîntul, nu va înceta sămănatul şi seceratul, frigul şi căldura, vara şi iarna, ziua şi noaptea!``
