1 A nd it cometh to pass, at the end of twenty years, that Solomon hath built the house of Jehovah, and his own house.

a întărit cetăţile, pe cari i le -a dat Hiram şi a aşezat în ele pe copiii lui Israel.

3 A nd Solomon goeth to Hamath-Zobah, and layeth hold upon it;

Solomon a mers împotriva Hamatului, la Ţoba, şi a pus stăpînire pe ea.

4 a nd he buildeth Tadmor in the wilderness, and all the cities of store that he hath built in Hamath.

A întărit Tadmorul în pustie, şi toate cetăţile cari slujeau ca cetăţi pentru merinde în Hamat.

5 A nd he buildeth Beth-Horon the upper, and Beth-Horon the lower -- cities of defence, with walls, two-leaved doors, and bar --

A întărit apoi Bet-Horonul de sus şi Bet-Horonul de jos, ca cetăţi întărite cu ziduri, porţi şi zăvoare;

6 a nd Baalath, and all the cities of store that Solomon had, and all the cities of the chariot, and the cities of the horsemen, and all the desire of Solomon that he desired to build in Jerusalem, and in Lebanon, and in all the land of his dominion.

Baalatul, şi toate cetăţile cari slujeau ca cetăţi pentru merinde şi cari ţineau de el, toate cetăţile pentru cară, cetăţile pentru călărime, şi tot ce a găsit cu cale Solomon să zidească la Ierusalim, la Liban, şi în toată ţara al cărei stăpîn era.

7 A ll the people who are left of the Hittite, and the Amorite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite, who are not of Israel --

Pe tot poporul care mai rămăsese din Hetiţi, din Amoriţi, din Fereziţi, din Heviţi şi din Iebusiţi, care nu făcea parte din Israel,

8 o f their sons who have been left after them in the land, whom the sons of Israel consumed not -- doth Solomon lift up a tribute unto this day.

pe urmaşii lor cari rămăseseră după ei în ţară şi pe cari nu -i nimiciseră copiii lui Israel, Solomon i -a ridicat ca oameni de corvoadă, ceeace au fost pînă în ziua de azi.

9 A nd none of the sons of Israel hath Solomon made servants for his work, but they men of war, and heads of his captains, and heads of his charioteers, and of his horsemen;

Solomon n'a întrebuinţat ca robi pentru lucrările lui, pe niciunul din copiii lui Israel: căci ei erau oameni de război, căpeteniile lui, slujbaşii lui, mai marii carălor şi călărimii lui.

10 a nd these heads of the officers whom king Solomon hath, two hundred and fifty who are rulers among the people.

Căpeteniile puse de împăratul Solomon în fruntea poporului, şi însărcinaţi să privegheze peste el, erau în număr de două sute cincizeci.

11 A nd the daughter of Pharaoh hath Solomon brought up from the city of David to the house that he built for her, for he said, `My wife doth not dwell in the house of David king of Israel, for they are holy unto whom hath come the ark of Jehovah.'

Solomon a suit pe fata lui Faraon din cetatea lui David în casa pe care i -o zidise; căci a zis:,, Nevastă-mea să nu locuiască în casa lui David, împăratul lui Israel, pentrucă locurile în cari a intrat chivotul Domnului sînt sfinte.``

12 T hen hath Solomon caused to ascend burnt-offerings to Jehovah on the altar of Jehovah that he built before the porch,

Atunci Solomon a adus arderi de tot Domnului pe altarul Domnului, pe care -l zidise înaintea pridvorului.

13 e ven by the matter of a day in its day, to cause to ascend according to the command of Moses, on sabbaths, and on new moons, and on appointed seasons, three times in a year -- in the feast of unleavened things, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of booths.

Aducea ce era poruncit de Moise pentru fiecare zi, pentru zilele de Sabat, pentru zilele de lună nouă, şi pentru sărbători, de trei ori pe an, la sărbătoarea azimilor, la sărbătoarea săptămînilor, şi la sărbătoarea corturilor.

14 A nd he establisheth, according to the ordinance of David his father, the courses of the priests over their service, and of the Levites over their charges, to praise and to minister over-against the priests, according to the matter of a day in its day, and the gatekeepers in their courses at gate and gate, for so the command of David the man of God.

A pus în slujbele lor, aşa cum le rînduise tatăl său David, cetele preoţilor, după slujba lor, pe Leviţi după însărcinarea lor, care era să mărească pe Domnul şi să facă zi de zi de slujbă în faţa preoţilor, şi pe uşieri, împărţiţi la fiecare uşă, după cetele lor: căci aşa poruncise David, omul lui Dumnezeu.

15 A nd they have not turned aside the command of the king concerning the priests and the Levites, in reference to any matter, and to the treasures.

Nu s'au abătut dela porunca împăratului cu privire la preoţi şi Leviţi, nici cu privire la vreun alt lucru, nici în privinţa vistieriilor.

16 A nd all the work of Solomon is prepared till the day of the foundation of the house of Jehovah, and till its completion; perfect is the house of Jehovah.

Aşa s'a înfăptuit toată lucrarea lui Solomon, din ziua cînd s'a pus temelia Casei Domnului şi pînă în ziua cînd a fost isprăvită. Casa Domnului a fost deci isprăvită.

17 T hen hath Solomon gone to Ezion-Geber, and unto Elath, on the border of the sea, in the land of Edom;

Solomon a plecat atunci la Eţion-Gheber şi la Elot, pe ţărmul mării, în ţara Edomului.

18 a nd Huram sendeth to him, by the hand of his servants, ships and servants knowing the sea, and they go with servants of Solomon to Ophir, and take thence four hundred and fifty talents of gold, and bring in unto king Solomon.

Şi Hiram i -a trimes, prin slujitorii săi, corăbii şi slujitori cari cunoşteau marea. Ei s'au dus cu slujitorii lui Solomon la Ofir, şi au luat de acolo patru sute cincizeci de talanţi de aur, pe cari i-au adus împăratului Solomon.
