1 I have been inquired of by those who asked not, I have been found by those who sought Me not, I have said, `Behold Me, behold Me,' Unto a nation not calling in My name.

Eram gata să răspund celor ce nu întrebau de Mine, eram gata să fiu găsit de ceice nu Mă căutau; am zis:,, Iată-Mă, iată-Mă!`` către un neam, care nu chema Numele Meu.

2 I have spread out My hands all the day Unto an apostate people, Who are going in the way not good after their own thoughts.

Mi-am întins mînile toată ziua spre un popor răzvrătit, care umblă pe o cale rea, în voia gîndurilor lui!

3 T he people who are provoking Me to anger, To My face continually, Sacrificing in gardens, and making perfume on the bricks:

Spre un popor, care nu conteneşte să Mă mînie în faţă, aducînd jertfe în grădini, şi arzînd tămîie pe cărămizile de pe acoperiş;

4 W ho are dwelling among sepulchres, And lodge in reserved places, Who are eating flesh of the sow, And a piece of abominable things -- their vessels.

care locuieşte în morminte, şi petrece noaptea în peşteri, mîncînd carne de porc, şi avînd în străchini bucate necurate.

5 W ho are saying, `Keep to thyself, come not nigh to me, For I have declared thee unholy.' These a smoke in Mine anger, A fire burning all the day.

Şi care totuş zice:,, Dă-te înapoi, nu te apropia de mine, căci sînt sfînt!``... Asemenea lucruri sînt un fum în nările Mele, un foc, care arde necontenit!

6 L o, it is written before Me: `I am not silent, but have recompensed; And I have recompensed into their bosom,

Iată ce am hotărît în Mine:,, Nici gînd să tac, ci îi voi pedepsi; da, îi voi pedepsi.

7 Y our iniquities, and the iniquities of your fathers together, said Jehovah, Who have made perfume on the mountains, And on the heights have reproached Me, And I have measured their former work into their bosom.'

Pentru nelegiuirile voastre-zice Domnul-şi pentru nelegiuirile părinţilor voştri, cari au ars tămîie pe munţi, şi M'au batjocorit pe înălţimi, de aceea, le voi măsura plata pentru faptele lor din trecut.``

8 T hus said Jehovah: As the new wine is found in the cluster, And one hath said, `Destroy it not for a blessing in it,' So I do for My servants' sake, not to destroy the whole.

Aşa vorbeşte Domnul:, După cum cînd se găseşte zeamă într'un strugure, se zice:, Nu -l nimici, căci este o binecuvîntare în el!` tot aşa, şi Eu voi face la fel, din dragoste pentru robii Mei, ca să nu nimicesc totul.

9 A nd I have brought out from Jacob a seed, And from Judah a possessor of My mount, And possess it do My chosen ones, And My servants do dwell there.

Voi scoate o sămînţă din Iacov, şi din Iuda un moştenitor al munţilor Mei; aleşii Mei vor stăpîni ţara, şi robii Mei vor locui în ea.

10 A nd Sharon hath been for the habitation of a flock, And the valley of Achor for the lying down of a herd, For My people who have sought Me.

Saronul va sluji ca loc de păşune oilor, şi valea Acor va sluji de culcuş boilor, pentru poporul Meu care Mă va căuta.

11 A nd ye those forsaking Jehovah, Who are forgetting My holy mountain, Who are setting in array for Gad a table, And who are filling for Meni a mixture.

Dar pe voi, cari părăsiţi pe Domnul, cari uitaţi muntele Meu cel sfînt, cari puneţi o masă, Norocului`, şi umpleţi un pahar în cinstea, Soartei`,

12 A nd I have numbered you for the sword, And all of you for slaughter bow down, Because I called, and ye have not answered, I have spoken, and ye have not hearkened, And ye do the evil thing in Mine eyes, And on that which I desired not -- fixed.

vă sortesc săbiei, şi toţi veţi pleca genunchiul ca să fiţi junghiaţi; căci Eu am chemat, şi n'aţi răspuns, am vorbit şi n'aţi ascultat, ci aţi făcut ce este rău înaintea Mea, şi aţi ales ce nu-Mi place.``

13 T herefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Lo, My servants do eat, and ye do hunger, Lo, My servants do drink, and ye do thirst, Lo, My servants rejoice, and ye are ashamed,

De aceea, aşa vorbeşte Domnul Dumnezeu:,, Iată că robii Mei vor mînca, iar voi veţi fi flămînzi; iată că robii Mei vor bea, iar vouă vă va fi sete. Iată că robii Mei se vor bucura şi voi vă veţi ruşina.

14 L o, My servants sing from joy of heart, And ye cry from pain of heart, And from breaking of spirit ye do howl.

Iată că robii Mei vor cînta, de veselă ce le va fi inima, dar voi veţi striga, de durerea pe care o veţi avea în suflet, şi vă veţi boci, de mîhnit ce vă va fi duhul.

15 A nd ye have left your name For an oath for My chosen ones, And the Lord Jehovah hath put thee to death, And to His servants He giveth another name.

Veţi lăsa numele vostru ca blestem aleşilor Mei; şi anume:, Domnul, Dumnezeu vă va omorî`, şi va da robilor Săi un alt nume.

16 S o that he who is blessing himself in the earth, Doth bless himself In the God of faithfulness, And he who is swearing in the earth, Doth swear by the God of faithfulness, Because the former distresses have been forgotten, And because they have been hid from Mine eyes.

Aşa că, cine se va binecuvînta în ţară, se va binecuvînta în Dumnezeul adevărului, şi cine va jura în ţară, va jura pe Dumnezeul adevărului, căci vechile suferinţe vor fi uitate, vor fi ascunse de ochii Mei.``

17 F or, lo, I am creating new heavens, and a new earth, And the former things are not remembered, Nor do they ascend on the heart.

Căci iată, Eu fac ceruri noi şi un pămînt nou; aşa că nimeni nu-şi va mai aduce aminte de lucrurile trecute, şi nimănui nu -i vor mai veni în minte.

18 B ut joy ye, and rejoice for ever, that I Creator, For, lo, I am creating Jerusalem a rejoicing, And her people a joy.

Ci vă veţi bucura şi vă veţi veseli, pe vecie, pentru cele ce voi face. Căci voi preface Ierusalimul în veselie, şi pe poporul lui în bucurie.

19 A nd I have rejoiced in Jerusalem, And have joyed in My people, And not heard in her any more Is the voice of weeping, and the voice of crying.

Eu însumi Mă voi veseli asupra Ierusalimului, şi mă voi bucura de poporul Meu; nu se va mai auzi în el de acum nici glasul plînsetelor, nici glasul ţipetelor.

20 T here is not thence any more a suckling of days, And an aged man who doth not complete his days, For the youth a hundred years old dieth, And the sinner, a hundred years old, is lightly esteemed.

Nu vor mai fi în el nici copii cu zile puţine, nici bătrîni cari să nu-şi împlinească zilele. Căci cine va muri la vîrsta de o sută de ani va fi încă tînăr, şi cel ce va muri în vîrstă de o sută de ani va fi blestemat ca păcătos.

21 A nd they have built houses, and inhabited, And planted vineyards, and eaten their fruit.

Vor zidi case şi le vor locui; vor sădi vii, şi le vor mînca rodul.

22 T hey do not build, and another inhabit, They do not plant, and another eat, For as the days of a tree the days of My people, And the work of their hands wear out do My chosen ones.

Nu vor zidi case, ca altul să locuiască în ele, nu vor sădi vii, pentruca altul să le mănînce rodul, căci zilele poporului Meu vor fi ca zilele copacilor, şi aleşii Mei se vor bucura de lucrul mînilor lor.

23 T hey labour not for a vain thing, Nor do they bring forth for trouble, For the seed of the blessed of Jehovah they, And their offspring with them.

Nu vor munci degeaba, şi nu vor avea copii ca să -i vadă pierind, căci vor alcătui o sămînţă binecuvîntată de Domnul, şi copiii lor vor fi împreună cu ei.

24 A nd it hath come to pass, They do not yet call, and I answer, They are yet speaking, and I hear.

Înainte ca să Mă cheme, le voi răspunde; înainte ca să isprăvească vorba, îi voi asculta!

25 W olf and lamb do feed as one, And a lion as an ox eateth straw, As to the serpent -- dust its food, They do no evil, nor destroy, In all My holy mountain, said Jehovah!

Lupul şi mielul vor paşte împreună, leul va mînca paie ca boul, şi şarpele se va hrăni cu ţărînă. Niciun rău, nici o vătămare nu se va face pe tot muntele Meu cel sfînt, zice Domnul.``
