1 A nd he causeth me to turn back unto the opening of the house; and lo, water is coming forth from under the threshold of the house eastward, for the front of the house eastward, and the water is coming down from beneath, from the right side of the house, from the south of the altar.

M'a adus înapoi la uşa casei. Şi iată că ieşea apă de supt pragul casei, dinspre răsărit; căci faţa casei era spre răsărit. Apa se pogora de supt partea dreaptă a casei în spre partea de miază-zi a altarului.

2 A nd he causeth me to go out the way of the gate northward, and causeth me to turn round the way without, unto the gate that without, the way that is looking eastward, and lo, water is coming forth from the right side.

M'a scos pe poarta de miază noapte, şi m'a făcut să ocolesc pe din afară pînă la poarta de răsărit. Şi iată că apa curgea din partea dreaptă.

3 I n the going out of the man eastward, and a line in his hand, then he measureth a thousand by the cubit, and he causeth me to pass over into water -- water to the ankles.

Cînd a înaintat omul acela spre răsărit, cu măsura în mînă, a măsurat o mie de coţi, şi m -a trecut prin apă; apa îmi venea pînă la glesne.

4 A nd he measureth a thousand, and causeth me to pass over into water -- water to the knees. And he measureth a thousand, and causeth me to pass over -- water to the loins.

A mai măsurat iarăş o mie de coţi, şi m'a pus să trec prin apă, şi apa îmi venea pînă la genunchi. A măsurat iarăşi o mie de coţi, şi m'a trecut prin ea, şi apa îmi venea pînă la şolduri.

5 A nd he measureth a thousand -- a stream that I am not able to pass over; for risen have the waters -- waters to swim in -- a stream that is not passed over.

A măsurat iarăşi o mie de coţi, şi atunci era un rîu pe care nu -l puteam trece, căci apa era atît de adîncă încît trebuia să înot-un rîu, care nu se putea trece.

6 A nd he saith unto me, `Hast thou seen, son of man?' and he leadeth me, and bringeth me back unto the edge of the stream.

El mi -a zis:,, Ai văzut, fiul omului?`` Şi m'a luat şi m'a adus înapoi pe malul rîului.

7 I n my turning back, then, lo, at the edge of the stream very many trees, on this side and on that side.

Cînd m'a adus înapoi, iată că pe malul rîului erau o mulţime de copaci pe amîndouă părţile.

8 A nd he saith unto me, `These waters are going forth unto the east circuit, and have gone down unto the desert, and have entered the sea; unto the sea they are brought forth, and the waters have been healed.

El mi -a zis:,, Apa aceasta curge spre ţinutul de răsărit, se pogoară în cîmpie, şi se varsă în marea şi vărsîndu-se în mare, apele mării se vor vindeca.

9 A nd it hath come to pass, every living creature that teemeth, whithersoever the streams come, doth live: and there hath been great abundance of fish, for these waters have come thither, and they are healed; and every thing whither the stream cometh hath lived.

Orice făptură vie, care se mişcă, va trăi pretutindeni pe unde va curge rîul, şi vor fi o mulţime de peşti; căci ori pe unde va ajunge apa aceasta, apele se vor face sănătoase, şi pretutindeni pe unde va ajunge rîul acesta va fi viaţă.

10 A nd it hath come to pass, fishers do stand by it, from En-Gedi even unto En-Eglaim; a spreading place of nets they are; according to their own kind is their fish, as the fish of the great sea, very many.

Pescarii vor sta pe malurile lui, dela En-Ghedi pînă la En-Eglaim, şi vor întinde mrejile; vor fi peşti de felurie soiuri, ca peştii mării celei mari, şi vor fi foarte mulţi.

11 I ts miry and its marshy places -- they are not healed; to salt they have been given up.

Mlaştinile şi gropile ei nu se vor vindeca, ci vor fi lăsate pradă sării.

12 A nd by the stream there cometh up on its edge, on this side and on that side, every fruit-tree whose leaf fadeth not, and not consumed is its fruit, according to its months it yieldeth first-fruits, because its waters from the sanctuary are coming forth; and its fruits hath been for food, and its leaf for medicine.

Dar lîngă rîul acesta, pe malurile lui de amîndouă părţile, vor creşte tot felul de pomi roditori. Frunza lor nu se va vesteji, şi roadele lor nu se vor sfîrşi; în fiecare lună vor face roade noi, pentru că apele vor ieşi din sfîntul Locaş. Roadele lor vor sluji ca hrană, şi frunzele lor ca leac.``

13 ` Thus said the Lord Jehovah: This the border whereby ye inherit the land, according to the twelve tribes of Israel; Joseph portions.

Aşa vorbeşte Domnul Dumnezeu:,, Iată hotarele ţării, pe care o veţi împărţi ca moştenire celor douăsprezece seminţii ale lui Israel. Iosif va avea două părţi.

14 A nd ye have inherited it, one as well as another, in that I have lifted up My hand to give it to your fathers; and this land hath fallen to you in inheritance.

O veţi stăpîni unul ca şi altul, cum am jurat, cu mîna ridicată, că o voi da părinţilor voştri. Ţara aceasta vă va cădea deci la împărţeală ca moştenire.

15 ` And this the border of the land at the north quarter; from the great sea, the way of Hethlon, at the coming in to Zedad:

Iată hotarele ţării: în spre miază noapte, dela marea cea mare, drumul Hetlonului pînă la Ţedad,

16 H amath, Berothah, Sibraim, that between the border of Damascus and the border of Hamath; Hazar-Hatticon, that at the coast of Havran.

Humat, Berota, Sibraim, între hotarul Damascului şi hotarul Hamatului, Haţer-Haticon, spre hotarul Havranului.

17 A nd the border from the sea hath been Hazar-Enan, the border of Damascus, and Zaphon at the north, and the border of Hamath: and the north quarter.

Astfel hotarul va fi, dela mare pînă la Haţar-Enon, şi la miază noapte de el hotarul Damascului, Ţafonului, şi hotarul Hamatului. Acesta va fi hotarul dinspre miază-noapte.

18 ` And the east quarter from between Havran, and Damascus, and Gilead, and the land of Israel, the Jordan; from the border over-against the eastern sea ye measure: and the east quarter.

În partea de răsărit, dintre Havran şi Damasc, între Galaad şi ţara lui Israel, hotarul va fi Iordanul, dela hotarul de miază noapte pînă la marea de răsărit şi anume pînă la Tamar. Acesta va fi hotarul de răsărit.

19 ` And the south quarter southward from Tamar unto the waters of Meriboth-Kadesh, the stream unto the great sea: and the south quarter southward.

Hotarul de miază zi, în spre miază zi, va merge dela Tamar pînă la apele Meriba dela Cades, pînă la pîrîul Egiptului, şi pînă la Marea cea mare. Acesta va fi hotarul de miază zi.

20 ` And the west quarter the great sea, from the border till over-against the coming in to Hamath: this the west quarter.

Hotarul de apus va fi marea cea mare, pînă la locul unde apucă spre Hamat: acesta va fi hotarul de apus.

21 ` And ye have divided this land to you, according to the tribes of Israel;

Ţara aceasta o veţi împărţi între voi, după seminţiile lui Israel.

22 a nd it hath come to pass, ye separate it for an inheritance to yourselves, and to the sojourners who are sojourning in your midst, who have begotten sons in your midst, and they have been to you as native, with the sons of Israel, with you they are separated for an inheritance in the midst of the tribes of Israel.

O veţi împărţi însă ca moştenire prin sorţ între voi şi între străinii cari vor locui în mijlocul vostru, acei străini cari vor naşte copii în mijlocul vostru. Pe aceştia îi veţi privi ca pe nişte băştinaşi între copiii lui Israel. Ei să aibă moştenirea prin sorţ împreună cu voi între seminţiile lui Israel.

23 A nd it hath come to pass, in the tribe with which the sojourner sojourneth, there ye give his inheritance -- an affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.

Străinului îi veţi da moştenirea lui în seminţia în care va locui, zice Domul Dumnezeu.``
