1 A nd a word of Jehovah is unto Jehu son of Hanani, against Baasha, saying,

Cuvîntul Domnului a vorbit astfel lui Iehu, fiul lui Hanani, împotriva lui Baeşa:

2 ` Because that I have raised thee up out of the dust, and appoint thee leader over My people Israel, and thou walkest in the way of Jeroboam, and causest My people Israel to sin -- to provoke Me to anger with their sins;

Eu te-am ridicat din ţărînă, şi te-am pus mai mare peste poporul Meu Israel; dar pentrucă ai umblat pe calea lui Ieroboam, şi ai făcut pe poporul Meu Israel să păcătuiască, pentruca să Mă mînii prin păcatele lor,

3 l o, I am putting away the posterity of Baasha, even the posterity of his house, and have given up thy house as the house of Jeroboam son of Nebat;

iată că voi mătura pe Baeşa şi casa lui, şi casa ta o voi face ca şi casa lui Ieroboam, fiul lui Nebat.

4 h im who dieth of Baasha in a city do the dogs eat, and him who dieth of his in a field do fowl of the heavens eat.'

Cine va muri în cetate din casa lui Baeşa, va fi mîncat de cîni, şi cine va muri pe cîmp dintr'ai lui, va fi mîncat de păsările cerului.``

5 A nd the rest of the matters of Baasha, and that which he did, and his might, are they not written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Israel?

Celelalte fapte ale lui Baeşa, ce a făcut el, şi isprăvile lui, nu sînt scrise oare în cartea Cronicilor împăraţilor lui Israel?

6 A nd Baasha lieth with his fathers, and is buried in Tirzah, and Elah his son reigneth in his stead.

Baeşa a adormit cu părinţii săi, şi a fost îngropat la Tirţa. Şi în locul lui a domnit fiul său Ela.

7 A nd also by the hand of Jehu son of Hanani the prophet a word of Jehovah hath been concerning Baasha, and concerning his house, and concerning all the evil that he did in the eyes of Jehovah to provoke Him to anger with the work of his hands, to be like the house of Jeroboam, and concerning that for which he smote him.

Cuvîntul Domnului vorbise prin proorocul Iehu, fiul lui Hanani, împotriva lui Baeşa, şi împotriva casei lui, pe deoparte pentru tot răul pe care -l făcuse supt ochii Domnului, mîniindu -L prin lucrul mînilor lui şi ajungînd ca şi casa lui Ieroboam, iar pe de alta pentrucă lovise casa lui Ieroboam.

8 I n the twenty and sixth year of Asa king of Judah reigned hath Elah son of Baasha over Israel in Tirzah, two years;

În al douăzeci şi şaselea an al lui Asa, împăratul lui Iuda, a început să domnească Ela, fiul lui Baeşa. El a domnit peste Israel la Tirţa. A domnit doi ani.

9 a nd conspire against him doth his servant Zimri (head of the half of the chariots) and he in Tirzah drinking -- a drunkard in the house of Arza, who over the house in Tirzah.

Slujitorul său Zimri, care era mai mare peste jumătate din carăle lui, a uneltit împotriva lui. Ela era la Tirţa, chefuind şi îmbătîndu-se în casa lui Arţa, căpetenia casei împăratului la Tirţa.

10 A nd Zimri cometh in and smiteth him, and putteth him to death, in the twenty and seventh year of Asa king of Judah, and reigneth in his stead;

Zimri a intrat, l -a lovit şi l -a ucis, în al douăzeci şi şaptelea an al lui Asa, împăratul lui Iuda. Şi a domnit el în locul lui.

11 a nd it cometh to pass in his reigning, at his sitting on his throne, he hath smitten the whole house of Baasha; he hath not left to him any sitting on the wall, and of his redeemers, and of his friends.

Cînd s'a făcut împărat şi a şezut pe scaunul lui de domnie, a omorît toată casa lui Baeşa, n'a lăsat să scape nimeni din ai lui: nici rudă nici prieten.

12 A nd Zimri destroyeth the whole house of Baasha, according to the word of Jehovah, that He spake concerning Baasha, by the hand of Jehu the prophet:

Zimri a nimicit toată casa lui Baeşa, după cuvîntul pe care -l spusese Domnul împotriva lui Baeşa prin proorocul Iehu,

13 c oncerning all the sins of Baasha, and the sins of Elah his son, that they sinned, and that they caused Israel to sin to provoke Jehovah, God of Israel, with their vanities.

din pricina tuturor păcatelor pe cari le săvîrşise Baeşa şi fiul său Ela, şi în cari tîrîseră şi pe Israel, mîniind prin idolii lor pe Domnul, Dumnezeul lui Israel.

14 A nd the rest of the matters of Elah, and all that he did, are they not written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Israel?

Celelalte fapte ale lui Ela, şi tot ce a făcut el, nu sînt scrise oare în cartea Cronicilor împăraţilor lui Israel?

15 I n the twenty and seventh year of Asa king of Judah, reigned hath Zimri seven days in Tirzah; and the people are encamping against Gibbethon, which to the Philistines;

În al douăzeci şi şaptelea an al lui Asa, împăratul lui Iuda, Zimri a domnit şapte zile la Tirţa. Poporul tăbăra împotriva Ghibetonului care era al Filistenilor.

16 a nd the people who are encamping hear, saying, `Zimri hath conspired, and also hath smitten the king;' and all Israel cause Omri head of the host to reign over Israel on that day in the camp.

Şi poporul a auzit în tabără vestea aceasta:,, Zimri a uneltit, şi chiar a ucis pe împărat!`` Şi în ziua aceea, tot Israelul a pus în tabără ca împărat al lui Israel pe Omri, căpetenia oştirii.

17 A nd Omri goeth up, and all Israel with him, from Gibbethon, and they lay siege to Tirzah.

Omri, şi tot Israelul cu el, au pornit din Ghibeton, şi au împresurat Tirţa.

18 A nd it cometh to pass, at Zimri's seeing that the city hath been captured, that he cometh in unto a high place of the house of the king, and burneth over him the house of the king with fire, and dieth,

Zimri, văzînd că cetatea este luată, a intrat în cetăţuia casei împăratului, şi a dat foc casei împăratului peste el. Astfel a murit el,

19 f or his sins that he sinned, to do the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah, to walk in the way of Jeroboam, and in his sin that he did, to cause Israel to sin;

din pricina păcatelor pe cari le săvîrşise, făcînd ce este rău înaintea Domnului, umblînd pe calea lui Ieroboam, săvîrşind păcatele pe cari le făcuse Ieroboam, şi făcînd şi pe Israel să păcătuiască.

20 a nd the rest of the matters of Zimri, and his conspiracy that he made, are they not written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Israel?

Celelalte fapte ale lui Zimri, şi uneltirea pe care a făcut -o el nu sînt scrise oare în cartea Cronicilor împăraţilor lui Israel?

21 T hen are the sons of Israel parted into halves; half of the people hath been after Tibni son of Ginath to cause him to reign, and the half after Omri;

Atunci poporul lui Israel s'a desbinat în două părţi; jumătate din popor voia să facă împărat pe Tibni, fiul lui Ghinat, şi jumătate era pentru Omri.

22 a nd stronger are the people that are after Omri than the people that are after Tibni son of Ginath, and Tibni dieth, and Omri reigneth.

Ceice urmau pe Omri au biruit pe ceice urmau pe Tibni, fiul lui Ghinat. Tibni a murit, şi Omri a domnit.

23 I n the thirty and first year of Asa king of Judah reigned hath Omri over Israel twelve years; in Tirzah he hath reigned six years,

În al treizeci şi unulea an al lui Asa, împăratul lui Iuda, a început să domnească peste Israel Omri. A domnit doisprezece ani. După ce a domnit şase ani la Tirţa,

24 a nd he buyeth the mount Samaria from Shemer, with two talents of silver, and buildeth the mount, and calleth the name of the city that he hath built by the name of Shemer, lord of the hill -- Samaria.

a cumpărat dela Şemer muntele Samariei, cu doi talanţi de argint; a întărit muntele, şi a pus cetăţii pe care a zidit -o, numele Samaria, după numele lui Şemer, domnul muntelui.

25 A nd Omri doth the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah, and doth evil above all who before him,

Omri a făcut ce este rău înaintea Domnului, şi a lucrat mai rău decît toţi ceice fuseseră înaintea lui.

26 a nd walketh in all the way of Jeroboam son of Nebat, and in his sin that he caused Israel to sin, to provoke Jehovah, God of Israel, with their vanities.

A umblat în toată calea lui Ieroboam, fiul lui Nebat, şi s'a dedat la păcatele în cari tîrîse Ieroboam pe Israel, mîniind prin idolii lor pe Domnul, Dumnezeul lui Israel.

27 A nd the rest of the matters of Omri that he did, and his might that he got, are they not written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Israel?

Celelalte fapte ale lui Omri, ce a făcut el, şi isprăvile lui, nu sînt scrise oare în cartea Cronicilor împăraţilor lui Israel?

28 A nd Omri lieth with his fathers, and is buried in Samaria, and Ahab his son reigneth in his stead.

Omri a adormit cu părinţii săi, şi a fost îngropat la Samaria. Şi în locul lui a domnit fiul său Ahab.

29 A nd Ahab son of Omri hath reigned over Israel in the thirty and eighth year of Asa king of Judah, and Ahab son of Omri reigneth over Israel in Samaria twenty and two years,

Ahab, fiul lui Omri, a început să domnească peste Israel, în al treizeci şi optulea an al lui Asa, împăratul lui Iuda. Ahab, fiul lui Omri, a domnit douăzeci şi doi de ani peste Israel la Samaria.

30 a nd Ahab son of Omri doth the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah above all who before him.

Ahab, fiul lui Omri, a făcut ce este rău înaintea Domnului, mai mult decît toţi ceice fuseseră înaintea lui.

31 A nd it cometh to pass -- hath it been light his walking in the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat? -- then he taketh a wife, Jezebel daughter of Ethbaal, king of the Zidonians, and goeth and serveth Baal, and boweth himself to it,

Şi, ca şi cum ar fi fost puţin lucru pentru el să se dedea la păcatele lui Ieroboam, fiul lui Nebat, a mai luat de nevastă şi pe Izabela, fata lui Etbaal, împăratul Sidoniţilor, şi a slujit lui Baal şi s'a închinat înaintea lui.

32 a nd raiseth up an altar for Baal, in the house of the Baal, that he built in Samaria;

33 a nd Ahab maketh the shrine, and Ahab addeth to do so as to provoke Jehovah, God of Israel, above all the kings of Israel who have been before him.

34 I n his days hath Hiel the Beth-Elite built Jericho; in Abiram his first-born he laid its foundation, and in Segub his youngest he set up its doors, according to the word of Jehovah that He spake by the hand of Joshua son of Nun.

Pe vremea lui, Hiel din Betel a zidit iarăş Ierihonul; i -a pus temeliile cu preţul lui Abiram, întîiul lui născut, şi i -a pus porţile cu preţul lui Segub, cel mai tînăr fiu al lui, după cuvîntul pe care -l spusese Domnul prin Iosua, fiul lui Nun.
