1 F or Zion's sake I am not silent, And for Jerusalem's sake I do not rest, Till her righteousness go out as brightness, And her salvation, as a torch that burneth.

De dragostea Sionului nu voi tăcea, de dragostea Ierusalimului nu voi înceta, pînă nu se va arăta mîntuirea lui, lumina soarelui şi izbăvirea lui, ca o făclie, care s'aprinde.

2 A nd nations have seen thy righteousness, And all kings thine honour, And He is giving to thee a new name, That the mouth of Jehovah doth define.

Atunci neamurile vor vedea mîntuirea ta, şi toţi împăraţii slava ta; şi-ţi vor pune un nume nou, pe care -l va hotărî gura Domnului.

3 A nd thou hast been a crown of beauty in the hand of Jehovah, And a diadem of royalty in the hand of thy God,

Vei fi o cunună strălucitoare în mîna Domnului, o legătură împărătească în mîna Dumnezeului tău.

4 I t is not said of thee any more, `Forsaken!' And of thy land it is not said any more, `Desolate,' For to thee is cried, `My delight in her,' And to thy land, `Married,' For Jehovah hath delighted in thee, And thy land is married.

Nu te vor mai numi Părăsită, şi nu-ţi vor mai numi pămîntul un pustiu, ci te vor numi:, Plăcerea Mea este în ea,` şi ţara ta o vor numi Beula:, Măritată`; căci Domnul Îşi pune plăcerea în tine, şi ţara ta se va mărita iarăş.

5 F or a young man doth marry a virgin, Thy Builders do marry thee, With the joy of a bridegroom over a bride, Rejoice over thee doth thy God.

Cum se uneşte un tînăr cu o fecioară, aşa se vor uni fiii tăi cu tine; şi cum se bucură mirele de mireasa lui, aşa se va bucura Dumnezeul tău de tine.``

6 ` On thy walls, O Jerusalem, I have appointed watchmen, All the day, and all the night, Continually, they are not silent.' O ye remembrancers of Jehovah, Keep not silence for yourselves,

Pe zidurile tale, Ierusalime, am pus nişte străjeri, cari nu vor tăcea nici odată, nici zi nici noapte! Voi cari aduceţi aminte Domnului de el, nu vă odihniţi de loc!

7 A nd give not silence to Him, Till He establish, and till He make Jerusalem A praise in the earth.

Şi nu -I daţi răgaz, pînă nu va aşeza din nou Ierusalimul, şi -l va face o laudă pe pămînt.

8 S worn hath Jehovah by His right hand, Even by the arm of His strength: `I give not thy corn any more food for thine enemies, Nor do sons of a stranger drink thy new wine, For which thou hast laboured.

Domnul a jurat pe dreapta Lui şi pe braţul Lui cel puternic, zicînd:, Nu voi mai da grîul tău hrană vrăjmaşilor tăi, şi fiii străinului nu vor mai bea vinul tău, pentru care tu te-ai ostenit.

9 F or, those gathering it do eat it, and have praised Jehovah, And those collecting it do drink it in My holy courts.'

Ci cei ce vor strînge grîul, aceia îl vor mînca şi vor lăuda pe Domnul, şi ceice vor face vinul, aceia îl vor bea, în curţile locaşului Meu celui sfînt.``

10 P ass ye on, pass on through the gates, Prepare ye the way of the people, Raise up, raise up the highway, clear it from stones, Lift up an ensign over the peoples.

Treceţi, treceţi pe porţi! Pregătiţi o cale poporului! Croiţi, croiţi drum, daţi pietrele la o parte! Ridicaţi un steag peste popoare!

11 L o, Jehovah hath proclaimed unto the end of the earth: `Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Lo, thy salvation hath come,' Lo, his hire with him, and his wage before him.

Iată ce vesteşte Domnul pînă la marginile pămîntului:, Spuneţi fiicei Sionului:, Iată, Mîntuitorul tău vine; iată, plata este cu El, şi răsplătirile merg înaintea Lui.

12 A nd they have cried to them, `People of the Holy One, Redeemed of Jehovah,' Yea, to thee is called, `Sought out one, a city not forsaken!'

Ei vor fi numiţi, Popor sfînt, Răscumpăraţi ai Domnului.` Iar pe tine, te vor numi, Cetate căutată şi nepărăsită.``
