1 A nd there is a word of Jehovah unto me, saying,

Cuvîntul Domnului mi -a vorbit astfel:

2 ` Son of man, prophesy concerning the prophets of Israel who are prophesying, and thou hast said to those prophesying from their own heart: Hear ye a word of Jehovah:

Fiul omului, prooroceşte împotriva proorocilor lui Israel, cari proorocesc, şi spune celor ce proorocesc după gustul inimii lor:, Ascultaţi cuvîntul Domnului!

3 T hus said the Lord Jehovah: Wo unto the prophets who are foolish, Who are going after their own spirit, And they have seen nothing.

Aşa vorbeşte Domnul, Dumnezeu:, Vai de proorocii fără minte, cari umblă după duhul lor şi nu văd nimic!

4 A s foxes in the wastes, Thy prophets, O Israel, have been.

Proorocii tăi, Israele, sînt ca nişte şacali în mijlocul dărîmăturilor!

5 Y e have not gone up into breaches, Nor do ye make a fence for the house of Israel, To stand in battle in a day of Jehovah.

Voi nu v'aţi suit înaintea spărturilor, n'aţi înconjurat cu un zid casa lui Israel, ca să rămîneţi tari în luptă, în ziua Domnului.

6 T hey have seen vanity, and lying divination, Who are saying: An affirmation of Jehovah, And Jehovah hath not sent them, And they have hoped to establish a word.

Vedeniile lor sînt înşelătoare, şi proorociile lor mincinoase. Ei zic:, Aşa vorbeşte Domnul!` măcar că Domnul nu i -a trimes; şi fac pe oameni să tragă nădejde că se va împlini cuvîntul lor.

7 A vain vision have ye not seen, And a lying divination spoken, When ye say: An affirmation of Jehovah, And I have not spoken?

Nu sînt înşelătoare vedeniile, pe cari le aveţi, şi nu sînt mincinoase proorociile pe cari le rostiţi? Voi ziceţi:, Aşa vorbeşte Domnul!` în timp ce Eu n'am vorbit.

8 T herefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Because ye have spoken vanity, and seen a lie, Therefore, lo, I against you, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.

De aceea, aşa vorbeşte Domnul, Dumnezeu:, Pentrucă spuneţi lucruri înşelătoare, şi vedeniile voastre sînt minciuni, iată, am necaz pe voi, zice Domnul, Dumnezeu`.

9 A nd My hand hath been on the prophets, Who are seeing vanity, and who are divining a lie, In the assembly of My people they are not, And in the writing of the house of Israel they are not written, And unto the ground of Israel they come not, And ye have known that I the Lord Jehovah.

Mîna Mea va fi împotriva proorocilor, ale căror vedenii sînt înşelătoare şi ale căror proorocii sînt mincinoase; ei nu vor rămînea în adunarea poporului Meu, nu vor fi scrişi în cartea casei lui Israel, nici nu vor intra în ţara lui Israel. Şi veţi şti că Eu sînt Domnul Dumnezeu.

10 B ecause, even because, they did cause My people to err, Saying, Peace! and there is no peace, And that one is building a wall, And lo, they are daubing it with chalk.

Lucrurile acestea se vor întîmpla pentrucă ei rătăcesc pe poporul Meu, zicînd:, Pace!` cînd nu este pace. Poporul Meu zideşte un zid, şi ei îl tencuiesc cu ipsos.

11 S ay to those daubing with chalk -- It falleth, There hath been an overflowing shower, And ye, O hailstones, do fall, And a tempestuous wind doth rend,

De aceea, spune celor ce -l acopăr cu ipsos că se va prăbuşi, va veni o ploaie cu vifor, pietrele de grindină vor cădea, şi se va deslănţui furtuna.

12 A nd lo, fallen hath the wall! Doth not one say unto you, Where the daubing that ye daubed?

Iată, vi se prăbuşeşte zidul! Şi atunci vi se va zice:, Unde este ipsosul cu care l-aţi tencuit?`

13 T herefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah: I have rent with a tempestuous wind in My fury, And an overflowing shower is in Mine anger, And hailstones in My fury -- to consume.

De aceea, aşa vorbeşte Domnul, Dumnezeu:,În urgia Mea, voi porni furtuna; în mînia Mea, va veni o ploaie cu vifor; şi vor cădea pietre de grindină ca să nimicească.

14 A nd I have broken down the wall that ye daubed with chalk, And have caused it to come unto the earth, And revealed hath been its foundation, And it hath fallen, And ye have been consumed in its midst, And ye have known that I Jehovah.

Voi surpa zidul pe care l-aţi tencuit cu ipsos, îl voi doborî la pămînt, şi i se vor desgoli temeliile; se va prăbuşi, şi veţi pieri în mijlocul dărîmăturilor lui. Şi veţi şti că Eu sînt Domnul.

15 A nd I have completed My wrath on the wall, And on those daubing it with chalk, And I say to you: The wall is not, And those daubing it are not;

Îmi voi potoli astfel mînia împotriva zidului şi împotriva celor ce l-au tencuit cu ipsos; şi vă voi spune: Nu mai este niciun zid! Şi s'a isprăvit cu cei ce l-au tencuit cu ipsos!

16 T he prophets of Israel who are prophesying concerning Jerusalem, And who are seeing for her a vision of peace, And there is no peace, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.

S'a isprăvit cu proorocii lui Israel, cari proorocesc asupra Ierusalimului, şi au vedenii de pace asupra lui, cînd nu este pace, zice Domnul Dumnezeu.`

17 A nd thou, son of man, set thy face against the daughters of thy people, who are prophesying out of their own heart, and prophesy concerning them,

Iar tu, fiul omului, întoarce-ţi privirile împotriva fiicelor poporului tău, cari proorocesc după gustul inimii lor, şi prooroceşte împotriva lor!

18 A nd thou hast said: Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Wo to those sowing pillows for all joints of the arm, And to those making the kerchiefs For the head of every stature -- to hunt souls, The souls do ye hunt of My people? And the souls ye have do ye keep alive?

Spune:, Aşa vorbeşte Domnul Dumnezeu:, Vai de cele ce cos perinuţe pentru subsiori, şi fac măhrame pentru capetele oamenilor de orice mărime, ca să prindă suflete! Socotiţi că veţi prinde sufletele poporului Meu, ca să vă păstraţi cu viaţă sufletele voastre?

19 Y ea, ye pierce Me concerning My people, For handfuls of barley, And for pieces of bread, to put to death Souls that should not die, And to keep alive souls that should not live, By your lying to My people -- hearkening to lies.

Voi Mă necinstiţi înaintea poporului Meu, pentru cîţiva pumni de orz şi cîteva bucăţi de pîne, ucizînd nişte suflete, cari n'ar trebui să moară, şi făcînd să trăiască nişte suflete cari n'ar trebui să trăiască, înşelînd astfel pe poporul Meu care ascultă minciunile voastre.

20 T herefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Lo, I against your pillows, With which ye are hunting there the souls of the flourishing, And I have rent them from off your arms, And have sent away the souls that ye are hunting, The souls of the flourishing.

De aceea aşa vorbeşte Domnul Dumnezeu:, Iată, am necaz pe perinuţele voastre prin cari prindeţi sufletele ca păsările; deaceea vi le voi smulge de la braţe şi voi da drumul sufletelor, şi anume sufletelor pe cari le prindeţi ca păsările!

21 A nd I have torn your kerchiefs, And delivered My people out of your hand, And they are no more in your hand for a prey, And ye have known that I Jehovah.

Vă voi rupe măhramele, şi voi scoate pe poporul Meu din mînile voastre, ca să nu mai cadă pradă în mînile voastre; şi veţi şti că Eu sînt Domnul.

22 B ecause of paining the heart of the righteous with falsehood, And I have not pained it, And strengthening the hands of the wicked, So as not to turn back from his evil way, To keep him alive,

Pentrucă întristaţi prin minciuni inima celui neprihănit, cînd Eu însumi nu l-am întristat, şi pentrucă întăriţi mînile celui rău ca să -l împedecaţi să se lase de calea lui cea rea, făgăduindu -i viaţa, -

23 T herefore, vanity ye do not see, And divination ye do not divine again, And I have delivered My people out of your hand, And ye have known that I Jehovah!'

de aceea nu veţi mai avea vedenii înşelătoare, şi nu veţi mai rosti proorocii. Voi scoate din mînile voastre pe poporul meu, şi veţi şti că Eu sînt Domnul.```
