1 A nd I saw upon the right hand of Him who is sitting upon the throne a scroll, written within and on the back, sealed with seven seals;

Apoi am văzut în mîna dreaptă a Celuice şedea pe scaunul de domnie o carte, scrisă pe dinlăuntru şi pe dinafară, pecetluită cu şapte peceţi.

2 a nd I saw a strong messenger crying with a great voice, `Who is worthy to open the scroll and to loose the seals of it?'

Şi am văzut un înger puternic, care striga cu glas tare:,, Cine este vrednic să deschidă cartea şi să -i rupă peceţile?``

3 a nd no one was able in the heaven, nor upon the earth, nor under the earth, to open the scroll, nor to behold it.

Şi nu se găsea nimeni nici în cer, nici pe pămînt, nici supt pămînt, care să poată deschide cartea, nici să se uite în ea.

4 A nd I was weeping much, because no one was found worthy to open and to read the scroll, nor to behold it,

Şi am plîns mult, pentrucă nimeni nu fusese găsit vrednic să deschidă cartea şi să se uite în ea.

5 a nd one of the elders saith to me, `Weep not; lo, overcome did the Lion, who is of the tribe of Judah, the root of David, to open the scroll, and to loose the seven seals of it;

Şi unul din bătrîni mi -a zis:,, Nu plînge: Iată că Leul din seminţia lui Iuda, Rădăcina lui David, a biruit ca să deschidă cartea, şi cele şapte peceţi ale ei.

6 a nd I saw, and lo, in the midst of the throne, and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, a Lamb hath stood as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the Seven Spirits of God, which are sent to all the earth,

Şi la mijloc, între scaunul de domnie şi cele patru făpturi vii, şi între bătrîni, am văzut stînd în picioare un Miel. Părea jungheat, şi avea şapte coarne şi şapte ochi, cari sînt cele şapte Duhuri ale lui Dumnezeu, trimese în tot pămîntul.

7 a nd he came and took the scroll out of the right hand of Him who is sitting upon the throne.

El a venit, şi a luat cartea din mîna dreaptă a Celuice şedea pe scaunul de domnie.

8 A nd when he took the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell before the Lamb, having each one harps and golden vials full of perfumes, which are the prayers of the saints,

Cînd a luat cartea, cele patru făpturi vii şi cei douăzeci şi patru de bătrîni s'au aruncat la pămînt înaintea Mielului, avînd fiecare cîte o alăută şi potire de aur, pline cu tămîie, cari sînt rugăciunile sfinţilor.

9 a nd they sing a new song, saying, `Worthy art thou to take the scroll, and to open the seals of it, because thou wast slain, and didst redeem us to God in thy blood, out of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation,

Şi cîntau o cîntare nouă, şi ziceau:,, Vrednic eşti tu să iei cartea şi să -i rupi peceţile: căci ai fost jungheat, şi ai răscumpărat pentru Dumnezeu, cu sîngele Tău, oameni din orice seminţie, de orice limbă, din orice norod şi de orice neam.

10 a nd didst make us to our God kings and priests, and we shall reign upon the earth.'

Ai făcut din ei o împărăţie şi preoţi pentru Dumnezeul nostru, şi ei vor împărăţi pe pămînt!``

11 A nd I saw, and I heard the voice of many messengers round the throne, and the living creatures, and the elders -- and the number of them was myriads of myriads, and thousands of thousands --

M'am uitat, şi împrejurul scaunului de domnie, în jurul făpturilor vii şi în jurul bătrînilor am auzit glasul multor îngeri. Numărul lor era de zece mii de ori zece mii şi mii de mii.

12 s aying with a great voice, `Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive the power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing!'

Ei ziceau cu glas tare:,, Vrednic este Mielul, care a fost jungheat, să primească puterea, bogăţia, înţelepciunea, tăria, cinstea, slava şi lauda!``

13 a nd every creature that is in the heaven, and in the earth, and under the earth, and the things that are upon the sea, and the all things in them, heard I saying, `To Him who is sitting upon the throne, and to the Lamb, the blessing, and the honour, and the glory, and the might -- to the ages of the ages!'

Şi pe toate făpturile, cari sînt în cer, pe pămînt, supt pămînt, pe mare, şi tot ce se află în aceste locuri, le-am auzit zicînd:,, A Celui ce şade pe scaunul de domnie, şi a Mielului să fie lauda, cinstea, slava şi stăpînirea în vecii vecilor!``

14 a nd the four living creatures said, `Amen!' and the twenty-four elders fell down and they bow before Him who is living to the ages of the ages.

Şi cele patru făpturi vii ziceau:,, Amin!`` Şi cei douăzeci şi patru de bătrîni s'au aruncat la pămînt, şi s'au închinat Celui ce este viu în vecii vecilor!
