1 O the happiness of those perfect in the way, They are walking in the law of Jehovah,

2 O the happiness of those keeping His testimonies, With the whole heart they seek Him.

Ferice de ceice păzesc poruncile Lui, cari -L caută din toată inima lor,

3 Y ea, they have not done iniquity, In His ways they have walked.

cari nu săvîrşesc nicio nelegiuire, şi umblă în căile Lui!

4 T hou hast commanded us Thy precepts to keep diligently,

Tu ai dat poruncile Tale ca să fie păzite cu sfinţenie.

5 O that my ways were prepared to keep Thy statutes,

O, de ar ţinti căile mele la păzirea orînduirilor Tale!

6 T hen I am not ashamed In my looking unto all Thy commands.

Atunci nu voi roşi de ruşine, la vederea tuturor poruncilor Tale!

7 I confess Thee with uprightness of heart, In my learning the judgments of Thy righteousness.

Te voi lăuda cu inimă neprihănită, cînd voi învăţa legile dreptăţii Tale.

8 T hy statutes I keep, leave me not utterly!

Vreau să păzesc orînduirile Tale: nu mă părăsi de tot!

9 W ith what doth a young man purify his path? To observe -- according to Thy word.

Cum îşi va ţinea tînărul curată cărarea? Îndreptîndu-se după Cuvîntul Tău.

10 W ith all my heart I have sought Thee, Let me not err from Thy commands.

Te caut din toată inima mea; nu mă lăsa să mă abat dela poruncile Tale.

11 I n my heart I have hid Thy saying, That I sin not before Thee.

Strîng Cuvîntul Tău în inima mea, ca să nu păcătuiesc împotriva Ta!

12 B lessed Thou, O Jehovah, teach me Thy statutes.

Binecuvîntat să fii Tu, Doamne! Învaţă-mă orînduirile Tale!

13 W ith my lips I have recounted All the judgments of Thy mouth.

Cu buzele mele vestesc toate hotărîrile gurii Tale.

14 I n the way of Thy testimonies I have joyed, As over all wealth.

Cînd urmez învăţăturile Tale, mă bucur de parc'aş avea toate comorile.

15 I n Thy precepts I meditate, And I behold attentively Thy paths.

Mă gîndesc adînc la poruncile Tale, şi cărările Tale le am supt ochi.

16 I n Thy statutes I delight myself, I do not forget Thy word.

Mă desfătez în orînduirile Tale, şi nu uit Cuvîntul Tău.

17 C onfer benefits on Thy servant, I live, and I keep Thy word.

Fă bine robului Tău, ca să trăiesc şi să păzesc Cuvîntul Tău!

18 U ncover mine eyes, and I behold wonders out of Thy law.

Deschide-mi ochii, ca să văd lucrurile minunate ale Legii Tale!

19 A sojourner I on earth, Hide not from me Thy commands.

Sînt un străin pe pămînt: nu-mi ascunde poruncile Tale!

20 B roken hath my soul for desire Unto Thy judgments at all times.

Totdeauna mi se topeşte sufletul de dor după legile tale.

21 T hou hast rebuked the cursed proud, Who are erring from Thy commands.

Tu mustri pe cei îngîmfaţi, pe blestemaţii aceştia, cari se rătăcesc de la poruncile Tale.

22 R emove from me reproach and contempt, For Thy testimonies I have kept.

Ridică de peste mine ocara şi dispreţul! Căci păzesc învăţăturile Tale.

23 P rinces also sat -- against me they spoke, Thy servant doth meditate in Thy statutes,

Să tot stea voevozii şi să vorbească împotriva mea: robul tău cugetă adînc la orînduirile Tale.

24 T hy testimonies also my delight, The men of my counsel!

Învăţăturile Tale sînt desfătarea mea şi sfătuitorii mei.

25 C leaved to the dust hath my soul, Quicken me according to Thy word.

Sufletul meu este lipit de ţărînă: înviorează-mă, după făgăduinţa Ta!

26 M y ways I have recounted, And Thou answerest me, teach me Thy statutes,

Eu îmi istorisesc căile, şi Tu mă asculţi: învaţă-mă orînduirile Tale!

27 T he way of Thy precepts cause me to understand, And I meditate in Thy wonders.

Fă-mă să pricep calea poruncilor Tale, şi voi cugeta la lucrurile Tale cele minunate.

28 M y soul hath dropped from affliction, Establish me according to Thy word.

Îmi plînge sufletul de durere: ridică-mă după Cuvîntul Tău!

29 T he way of falsehood turn aside from me And with Thy law favour me.

Depărtează-mă de calea necredincioşiei către Tine, şi dă-mi îndurarea ta, ca să urmez Legea Ta!

30 T he way of faithfulness I have chosen, Thy judgments I have compared,

Aleg calea adevărului, pun legile Tale supt ochii mei.

31 I have adhered to Thy testimonies, O Jehovah, put me not to shame.

Mă ţin de învăţăturile Tale, Doamne, nu mă lăsa de ruşine!

32 T he way of Thy commands I run, For Thou dost enlarge my heart!

Alerg pe calea poruncilor Tale, căci îmi scoţi inima la larg.

33 S how me, O Jehovah, the way of Thy statutes, And I keep it -- the end.

Învaţă-mă, Doamne, calea orînduirilor Tale, ca s'o ţin pînă în sfîrşit!

34 C ause me to understand, and I keep Thy law, And observe it with the whole heart.

Dă-mi pricepere, ca să păzesc Legea Ta şi s'o ţin din toată inima mea!

35 C ause me to tread in the path of Thy commands, For in it I have delighted.

Povăţuieşte-mă pe cărarea poruncilor Tale, căci îmi place de ea.

36 I ncline my heart unto Thy testimonies, And not unto dishonest gain.

Pleacă-mi inima spre învăţăturile Tale, şi nu spre cîştig!

37 R emove mine eyes from seeing vanity, In Thy way quicken Thou me.

Abate-mi ochii dela vederea lucrurilor deşarte, înviorează-mă în calea Ta!

38 E stablish to Thy servant Thy saying, That concerning Thy fear.

Împlineşte-Ţi făgăduinţa faţă de robul Tău, făgăduinţa făcută pentru cei ce se tem de Tine!

39 R emove my reproach that I have feared, For Thy judgments good.

Depărtează dela mine ocara de care mă tem! Căci judecăţile Tale sînt pline de bunătate.

40 L o, I have longed for Thy precepts, In Thy righteousness quicken Thou me,

Iată, doresc să împlinesc poruncile Tale: fă-mă să trăiesc în neprihănirea cerută de Tine!

41 A nd meet me doth Thy kindness, O Jehovah, Thy salvation according to Thy saying.

Să vină, Doamne, îndurarea Ta peste mine, mîntuirea Ta, după făgăduinţa Ta!

42 A nd I answer him who is reproaching me a word, For I have trusted in Thy word.

Şi atunci voi putea răspunde celui ce mă batjocoreşte, căci mă încred în Cuvîntul Tău.

43 A nd Thou takest not utterly away From my mouth the word of truth, Because for Thy judgment I have hoped.

Nu lua de tot din gura mea cuvîntul adevărului! Căci nădăjduiesc în judecăţile Tale.

44 A nd I keep Thy law continually, To the age and for ever.

Voi păzi Legea Ta necurmat, totdeauna şi pe vecie.

45 A nd I walk habitually in a broad place, For Thy precepts I have sought.

Voi umbla în loc larg, căci caut poruncile Tale.

46 A nd I speak of Thy testimonies before kings, And I am not ashamed.

Voi vorbi despre învăţăturile Tale înaintea împăraţilor, şi nu-mi va roşi obrazul.

47 A nd I delight myself in Thy commands, That I have loved,

Mă desfătez în poruncile Tale, căci le iubesc.

48 A nd I lift up my hands unto Thy commands, That I have loved, And I do meditate on Thy statutes!

Îmi întind mînile spre poruncile Tale, pe cari le iubesc, şi vreau să mă gîndesc adînc la orînduirile Tale.

49 R emember the word to Thy servant, On which Thou hast caused me to hope.

Adu-Ţi aminte de făgăduinţa dată robului Tău, în care m'ai făcut să-mi pun nădejdea!

50 T his my comfort in mine affliction, That Thy saying hath quickened me.

Aceasta este mîngîierea mea în necazul meu: că făgăduinţa Ta îmi dă iarăş viaţă.

51 T he proud have utterly scorned me, From Thy law I have not turned aside.

Nişte îngîmfaţi mi-aruncă batjocuri; totuş eu nu mă abat dela Legea Ta.

52 I remembered Thy judgments of old, O Jehovah, And I comfort myself.

Mă gîndesc la judecăţile Tale de odinioară, Doamne, şi mă mîngîi.

53 H orror hath seized me, Because of the wicked forsaking Thy law.

M'apucă o mînie aprinsă la vederea celor răi, cari părăsesc Legea Ta.

54 S ongs have been to me Thy statutes, In the house of my sojournings.

Orînduirile Tale sînt prilejul cîntărilor mele, în casa pribegiei mele.

55 I have remembered in the night Thy name, O Jehovah, And I do keep Thy law.

Noaptea îmi aduc aminte de Numele Tău, Doamne, şi păzesc Legea Ta.

56 T his hath been to me, That Thy precepts I have kept!

Aşa mi se cuvine, căci păzesc poruncile Tale.

57 M y portion Jehovah; I have said -- to keep Thy words,

Partea mea, Doamne, o spun, este să păzesc cuvintele Tale.

58 I appeased Thy face with the whole heart, Favour me according to Thy saying.

Te rog din toată inima mea: ai milă de mine, după făgăduinţa Ta!

59 I have reckoned my ways, And turn back my feet unto Thy testimonies.

Mă gîndesc la căile mele, şi îmi îndrept picioarele spre învăţăturile Tale.

60 I have made haste, And delayed not, to keep Thy commands.

Mă grăbesc, şi nu preget să păzesc poruncile Tale.

61 C ords of the wicked have surrounded me, Thy law I have not forgotten.

Cursele celor răi mă înconjoară, dar nu uit Legea Ta.

62 A t midnight I rise to give thanks to Thee, For the judgments of Thy righteousness.

Mă scol la miezul nopţii să Te laud pentru judecăţile Tale cele drepte.

63 A companion I to all who fear Thee, And to those keeping Thy precepts.

Sînt prieten cu toţi cei ce se tem de Tine, şi cu cei ce păzesc poruncile Tale.

64 O f Thy kindness, O Jehovah, the earth is full, Thy statutes teach Thou me!

Pămîntul, Doamne, este plin de bunătatea Ta; învaţă-mă orînduirile Tale!

65 G ood Thou didst with Thy servant, O Jehovah, According to Thy word.

Tu faci bine robului Tău, Doamne, după făgăduinţa Ta.

66 T he goodness of reason and knowledge teach me, For in Thy commands I have believed.

Învaţă-mă să am înţelegere şi pricepere, căci cred în poruncile Tale.

67 B efore I am afflicted, I -- I am erring, And now Thy saying I have kept.

Pînă ce am fost smerit, rătăceam; dar acum păzesc Cuvîntul Tău.

68 G ood Thou, and doing good, Teach me Thy statutes.

Tu eşti bun şi binefăcător: învaţă-mă orînduirile tale!

69 F orged against me falsehood have the proud, I with the whole heart keep Thy precepts.

Nişte îngîmfaţi urzesc neadevăruri împotriva mea; dar eu păzesc din toată inima mea poruncile Tale.

70 I nsensate as fat hath been their heart, I -- in Thy law I have delighted.

Inima lor este nesimţitoare ca grăsimea: dar eu mă desfătez în Legea Ta.

71 G ood for me that I have been afflicted, That I might learn Thy statutes.

Este spre binele meu că m'ai smerit, ca să învăţ orînduirile Tale.

72 B etter to me the law of Thy mouth Than thousands of gold and silver!

Mai mult preţuieşte pentru mine legea gurii Tale, decît o mie de lucruri de aur şi de argint.

73 T hy hands made me and establish me, Cause me to understand, and I learn Thy commands.

Mîinile Tale m'au făcut, şi m'au întocmit; dă-mi pricepere, ca să învăţ poruncile Tale!

74 T hose fearing Thee see me and rejoice, Because for Thy word I have hoped.

Cei ce se tem de Tine mă văd şi se bucură, căci nădăjduiesc în făgăduinţele Tale.

75 I have known, O Jehovah, That righteous Thy judgments, And faithfulness Thou hast afflicted me.

Ştiu, Doamne, că judecăţile Tale sînt drepte: din credincioşie m'ai smerit.

76 L et, I pray Thee, Thy kindness be to comfort me, According to Thy saying to Thy servant.

Fă ca bunătatea Ta să-mi fie mîngîierea, cum ai făgăduit robului Tău!

77 M eet me do Thy mercies, and I live, For Thy law my delight.

Să vină peste mine îndurările Tale, ca să trăiesc, căci Legea Ta este desfătarea mea.

78 A shamed are the proud, For falsehood they dealt perversely with me. I meditate in Thy precepts.

Să fie înfruntaţi îngîmfaţii cari mă asupresc fără temei! Căci eu mă gîndesc adînc la poruncile Tale.

79 T hose fearing Thee turn back to me, And those knowing Thy testimonies.

Să se întoarcă la mine, cei ce se tem de Tine, şi cei ce cunosc învăţăturile Tale!

80 M y heart is perfect in Thy statutes, So that I am not ashamed.

Inima să-mi fie neîmpărţită în orînduirile Tale, ca să nu fiu dat de ruşine!

81 C onsumed for Thy salvation hath been my soul, For Thy word I have hoped.

Îmi tînjeşte sufletul după mîntuirea Ta: nădăjduiesc în făgăduinţa Ta.

82 C onsumed have been mine eyes for Thy word, Saying, `When doth it comfort me?'

Mi se topesc ochii după făgăduinţa Ta, şi zic:,, Cînd mă vei mîngîia?``

83 F or I have been as a bottle in smoke, Thy statutes I have not forgotten.

Căci am ajuns ca un burduf pus în fum; totuş nu uit orînduirile Tale.

84 H ow many the days of Thy servant? When dost Thou execute Against my pursuers judgment?

Care este numărul zilelor robului Tău? Cînd vei pedepsi pe cei ce mă prigonesc?

85 T he proud have digged for me pits, That not according to Thy law.

Nişte îngîmfaţi sapă gropi înaintea mea; nu lucrează după Legea ta.

86 A ll Thy commands faithfulness, falsehood they have pursued me, Help Thou me.

Toate poruncile tale nu sînt decît credincioşie; ei mă prigonesc fără temei: ajută-mă!

87 A lmost consumed me on earth have they, And I -- I have not forsaken Thy precepts.

Gata, gata să mă doboare şi să mă prăpădească, dar eu nu părăsesc poruncile Tale.

88 A ccording to Thy kindness quicken Thou me, And I keep the testimony of Thy mouth!

Înviorează-mă după bunătatea Ta, ca să păzesc învăţăturile gurii Tale!

89 T o the age, O Jehovah, Thy word is set up in the heavens.

Cuvîntul Tău, Doamne, dăinuieşte în veci în ceruri.

90 T o all generations Thy faithfulness, Thou didst establish earth, and it standeth.

Credincioşia ta ţine din neam în neam; Tu ai întemeiat pămîntul, şi el rămîne tare.

91 A ccording to Thine ordinances They have stood this day, for the whole Thy servants.

După legile Tale stă în picioare totul astăzi, căci toate lucrurile Îţi sînt supuse.

92 U nless Thy law my delights, Then had I perished in mine affliction.

Dacă n'ar fi fost Legea Ta desfătarea mea, aş fi pierit în ticăloşia mea.

93 T o the age I forget not Thy precepts, For by them Thou hast quickened me.

Niciodată nu voi uita poruncile Tale, căci prin ele mă înviorezi.

94 I Thine, save Thou me, For Thy precepts I have sought.

Al Tău sînt: mîntuieşte-mă! Căci caut poruncile Tale.

95 T hy wicked waited for me to destroy me, Thy testimonies I understand.

Nişte răi mă aşteaptă ca să mă piardă; dar eu iau aminte la învăţăturile Tale.

96 O f all perfection I have seen an end, Broad Thy command -- exceedingly!

Văd că tot ce este desăvîrşit are margini: poruncile Tale însă sînt fără margini.

97 O how I have loved Thy law! All the day it my meditation.

Cît de mult iubesc Legea Ta! Toată ziua mă gîndesc la ea.

98 T han mine enemies Thy command maketh me wiser, For it before me to the age.

Poruncile Tale mă fac mai înţelept decît vrăjmaşii mei, căci totdeauna le am cu mine.

99 A bove all my teachers I have acted wisely. For Thy testimonies my meditation.

Sînt mai învăţat decît toţi învăţătorii mei, căci mă gîndesc la învăţăturile Tale.

100 A bove elders I understand more, For Thy precepts I have kept.

Am mai multă pricepere decît bătrînii, căci păzesc poruncile Tale.

101 F rom every evil path I restrained my feet, So that I keep Thy word.

Îmi ţin piciorul departe de orice drum rău, ca să păzesc Cuvîntul Tău.

102 F rom Thy judgments I turned not aside, For Thou -- Thou hast directed me.

Nu mă depărtez de legile Tale, căci Tu mă înveţi.

103 H ow sweet to my palate hath been Thy saying, Above honey to my mouth.

Ce dulci sînt cuvintele Tale pentru cerul gurii mele! Mai dulci decît mierea în gura mea!

104 F rom Thy precepts I have understanding, Therefore I have hated every false path!

Prin poruncile Tale mă fac mai priceput, deaceea urăsc orice cale a minciunii.

105 A lamp to my foot Thy word, And a light to my path.

Cuvîntul Tău este o candelă pentru picioarele mele, şi o lumină pe cărarea mea.

106 I have sworn, and I confirm, To keep the judgments of Thy righteousness.

Jur, -şi mă voi ţinea de jurămînt, -că voi păzi legile Tale cele drepte.

107 I have been afflicted very much, O Jehovah, quicken me, according to Thy word.

Sînt foarte amărît: înviorează-mă, Doamne, după Cuvîntul Tău!

108 F ree-will-offerings of my mouth, Accept, I pray Thee, O Jehovah, And Thy judgments teach Thou me.

Primeşte, Doamne, simţimintele pe cari le spune gura mea, şi învaţă-mă legile Tale!

109 M y soul in my hand continually, And Thy law I have not forgotten.

Viaţa îmi este necurmat în primejdie, şi totuş nu uit Legea Ta.

110 T he wicked have laid a snare for me, And from thy precepts I wandered not.

Nişte răi îmi întind curse, dar eu nu mă rătăcesc dela poruncile Tale.

111 I have inherited Thy testimonies to the age, For the joy of my heart they.

Învăţăturile Tale sînt moştenirea mea de veci, căci ele sînt bucuria inimii mele.

112 I have inclined my heart To do Thy statutes, to the age -- the end!

Îmi plec inima să împlinesc orînduirile Tale, totdeauna şi pînă la sfîrşit.

113 D oubting ones I have hated, And Thy law I have loved.

Urăsc pe oamenii nehotărîţi, dar iubesc Legea Ta.

114 M y hiding place and my shield Thou, For Thy word I have hoped.

Tu eşti adăpostul şi scutul meu; eu nădăjduiesc în făgăduinţa Ta.

115 T urn aside from me, ye evil-doers, And I keep the commands of my God.

Depărtaţi-vă de mine, răilor, ca să păzesc poruncile Dumnezeului meu!

116 S ustain me according to Thy saying, And I live, and Thou puttest me not to shame Because of my hope.

Sprijineşte-mă, după făgăduinţa Ta, ca să trăiesc, şi nu mă lăsa de ruşine în nădejdea mea!

117 S upport Thou me, and I am saved, And I look on Thy statutes continually.

Fii sprijinul meu, ca să fiu scăpat, şi să mă veselesc neîncetat de orînduirile Tale!

118 T hou hast trodden down All going astray from Thy statutes, For falsehood their deceit.

Tu dispreţuieşti pe toţi ceice se depărtează de orînduirile Tale, căci înşelătoria lor este zădarnică.

119 D ross! Thou hast caused to cease All the wicked of the earth; Therefore I have loved Thy testimonies.

Ca spuma iei pe toţi cei răi de pe pămînt: de aceea eu iubesc învăţăturile Tale.

120 T rembled from Thy fear hath my flesh, And from Thy judgments I have been afraid!

Mi se înfioară carnea de frica Ta, şi mă tem de judecăţile Tale.

121 I have done judgment and righteousness, Leave me not to mine oppressors.

Păzesc legea şi dreptatea: nu mă lăsa în voia asupritorilor mei!

122 M ake sure Thy servant for good, Let not the proud oppress me.

Ia supt ocrotirea Ta binele robului Tău, şi nu mă lăsa apăsat de nişte îngîmfaţi!

123 M ine eyes have been consumed for Thy salvation. And for the saying of Thy righteousness.

Mi se topesc ochii după mîntuirea Ta, şi după făgăduinţa Ta cea dreaptă.

124 D o with Thy servant according to Thy kindness. And Thy statutes teach Thou me.

Poartă-Te cu robul Tău după bunătatea Ta, şi învaţă-mă orînduirile Tale!

125 T hy servant I -- cause me to understand, And I know Thy testimonies.

Eu sînt robul tău; dă-mi pricepere, ca să cunosc învăţăturile Tale.

126 T ime for Jehovah to work! they have made void Thy law.

Este vremea ca Domnul să lucreze: căci ei calcă Legea Ta.

127 T herefore I have loved Thy commands Above gold -- even fine gold.

De aceea, eu iubesc poruncile Tale, mai mult de cît aurul, da, mai mult decît aurul curat:

128 T herefore all my appointments I have declared wholly right, Every path of falsehood I have hated!

De aceea găsesc drepte toate poruncile Tale, şi urăsc orice cale a minciunii.

129 W onderful Thy testimonies, Therefore hath my soul kept them.

Învăţăturile Tale sînt minunate: de aceea le păzeşte sufletul meu.

130 T he opening of Thy words enlighteneth, Instructing the simple.

Descoperirea cuvintelor Tale dă lumină, dă pricepere celor fără răutate.

131 M y mouth I have opened, yea, I pant, For, for Thy commands I have longed.

Deschid gura şi oftez, căci sînt lacom după poruncile Tale.

132 L ook unto me, and favour me, As customary to those loving Thy name.

Întoarce-Ţi Faţa spre mine, şi ai milă de mine, după obiceiul Tău faţă de ceice iubesc Numele Tău!

133 M y steps establish by Thy saying, And any iniquity doth not rule over me.

Întăreşte-mi paşii în Cuvîntul Tău, şi nu lăsa nici o nelegiuire să stăpînească peste mine!

134 R ansom me from the oppression of man, And I observe Thy precepts,

Izbăveşte-mă de asuprirea oamenilor, ca să păzesc poruncile Tale!

135 T hy face cause to shine on Thy servant, And teach me Thy statutes.

Fă să strălucească Faţa Ta peste robul Tău, şi învaţă-mă orînduirile Tale!

136 R ivulets of waters have come down mine eyes, Because they have not kept Thy law!

Ochii îmi varsă şiroaie de ape, pentrucă Legea Ta nu este păzită.

137 R ighteous Thou, O Jehovah, And upright Thy judgments.

Tu eşti drept, Doamne, şi judecăţile Tale sînt fără prihană.

138 T hou hast appointed Thy testimonies, Righteous and exceeding faithful,

Tu Îţi întemeiezi învăţăturile pe dreptate, şi pe cea mai mare credincioşie.

139 C ut me off hath my zeal, For mine adversaries forgot Thy words.

Rîvna mea mă mănîncă, pentru că protivnicii mei uită cuvintele Tale.

140 T ried thy saying exceedingly, And Thy servant hath loved it.

Cuvîntul Tău este cu totul încercat, şi robul Tău îl iubeşte.

141 S mall I, and despised, Thy precepts I have not forgotten.

Sînt mic şi dispreţuit, dar nu uit poruncile Tale.

142 T hy righteousness righteousness to the age, And Thy law truth.

Dreptatea Ta este o dreptate vecinică, şi Legea Ta este adevărul.

143 A dversity and distress have found me, Thy commands my delights.

Necazul şi strîmtorarea mă ajung, dar poruncile Tale sînt desfătarea mea.

144 T he righteousness of Thy testimonies to Cause me to understand, and I live!

Învăţăturile Tale sînt drepte pe vecie: dă-mi pricepere, ca să trăiesc!

145 I have called with the whole heart, Answer me, O Jehovah, Thy statutes I keep,

Te chem din toată inima mea: ascultă-mă, Doamne, ca să păzesc orînduirile Tale.

146 I have called Thee, save Thou me, And I do keep Thy testimonies.

147 I have gone forward in the dawn, and I cry, For Thy word I have hoped.

O iau înaintea zorilor şi strig; nădăjduiesc în făgăduinţele Tale.

148 M ine eyes have gone before the watches, To meditate in Thy saying.

O iau înaintea străjilor de noapte, şi deschid ochii, ca să mă gîndesc adînc la Cuvîntul Tău.

149 M y voice hear, according to Thy kindness, Jehovah, according to Thy judgment quicken me.

Ascultă-mi glasul, după bunătatea Ta: înviorează-mă, Doamne, după judecata ta!

150 N ear have been my wicked pursuers, From Thy law they have been far off.

Se apropie ceice urmăresc mişelia, şi se depărtează de Legea Ta.

151 N ear Thou, O Jehovah, And all Thy commands truth.

Dar Tu eşti aproape, Doamne, şi toate poruncile Tale sînt adevărul.

152 O f old I have known Thy testimonies, That to the age Thou hast founded them!

De multă vreme ştiu din învăţăturile Tale, că le-ai aşezat pentru totdeauna.

153 S ee my affliction, and deliver Thou me, For Thy law I have not forgotten.

Vezi-mi ticăloşia, şi izbăveşte-mă, căci nu uit Legea Ta.

154 P lead my plea, and redeem me, According to Thy saying quicken me.

Apără-mi pricina, şi răscumpără-mă, înviorează-mă după făgăduinţa Ta.

155 F ar from the wicked salvation, For Thy statutes they have not sought.

Mîntuirea este departe de cei răi, căci ei nu caută orînduirile Tale.

156 T hy mercies many, O Jehovah, According to Thy judgments quicken me.

Mari sînt îndurările Tale, Doamne! Înviorează-mă după judecăţile Tale!

157 M any my pursuers, and adversaries, From Thy testimonies I have not turned aside.

Mulţi sînt prigonitorii şi protivnicii mei, dar nu mă depărtez de învăţăturile Tale.

158 I have seen treacherous ones, And grieve myself, Because Thy saying they have not kept.

Văd cu scîrbă pe cei necredincioşi Ţie, cari nu păzesc Cuvîntul Tău.

159 S ee, for thy precepts I have loved, Jehovah, According to Thy kindness quicken me.

Vezi cît de mult iubesc eu poruncile Tale: înviorează-mă, Doamne, după bunătatea Ta!

160 T he sum of Thy word truth, And to the age every judgment of Thy righteousness!

Temelia Cuvîntului Tău este adevărul, şi toate legile Tale cele drepte sînt vecinice.

161 P rinces have pursued me without cause, And because of Thy words was my heart afraid.

Nişte voievozi mă prigonesc fără temei, dar inima mea nu tremură decît de cuvintele Tale.

162 I do rejoice concerning Thy saying, As one finding abundant spoil.

Mă bucur de Cuvîntul Tău, ca cel ce găseşte o mare pradă.

163 F alsehood I have hated, yea I abominate, Thy law I have loved.

Urăsc şi nu pot suferi minciuna, dar iubesc Legea Ta.

164 S even in a day I have praised Thee, Because of the judgments of Thy righteousness.

De şapte ori pe zi Te laud, din pricina legilor Tale celor drepte.

165 A bundant peace have those loving Thy law, And they have no stumbling-block.

Multă pace au ceice iubesc Legea Ta, şi nu li se întîmplă nicio nenorocire.

166 I have waited for Thy salvation, O Jehovah, And Thy commands I have done.

Eu nădăjduiesc în mîntuirea Ta, Doamne, şi împlinesc poruncile Tale.

167 K ept hath my soul Thy testimonies, And I do love them exceedingly.

Sufletul meu ţine învăţăturile Tale, şi le iubesc mult de tot!

168 I have kept Thy precepts and Thy testimonies, For all my ways are before Thee!

Păzesc poruncile şi învăţăturile Tale, căci toate căile mele sînt înaintea Ta.

169 M y loud cry cometh near before Thee, O Jehovah; According to Thy word cause me to understand.

Să ajungă strigătul meu pînă la Tine, Doamne! Dă-mi pricepere, după făgăduinţa Ta.

170 M y supplication cometh in before Thee, According to Thy saying deliver Thou me.

Să ajungă cererea mea pînă la Tine! Izbăveşte-mă, după făgăduinţa Ta!

171 M y lips do utter praise, For Thou dost teach me Thy statutes.

Buzele mele să vestească lauda Ta, căci Tu mă înveţi orînduirile Tale!

172 M y tongue doth sing of Thy saying, For all Thy commands righteous.

Să cînte limba mea Cuvîntul Tău, căci toate poruncile Tale sînt drepte!

173 T hy hand is for a help to me, For Thy commands I have chosen.

Mîna Ta să-mi fie într'ajutor, căci am ales poruncile Tale.

174 I have longed for Thy salvation, O Jehovah, And Thy law my delight.

Suspin după mîntuirea Ta, Doamne, şi Legea Ta este desfătarea mea.

175 M y soul liveth, and it doth praise Thee, And Thy judgments do help me.

Să-mi trăiască sufletul şi să Te laude, şi judecăţile Tale să mă sprijinească!

176 I wandered as a lost sheep, seek Thy servant, For Thy precepts I have not forgotten!

Rătăcesc ca o oaie pierdută: caută pe robul Tău, căci nu uit poruncile Tale.
