1 O the happiness of those perfect in the way, They are walking in the law of Jehovah,

2 O the happiness of those keeping His testimonies, With the whole heart they seek Him.

Bem-aventurados os que guardam os seus testemunhos, que o buscam de todo o coração,

3 Y ea, they have not done iniquity, In His ways they have walked.

que não praticam iniqüidade, mas andam nos caminhos dele!

4 T hou hast commanded us Thy precepts to keep diligently,

Tu ordenaste os teus preceitos, para que fossem diligentemente observados.

5 O that my ways were prepared to keep Thy statutes,

Oxalá sejam os meus caminhos dirigidos de maneira que eu observe os teus estatutos!

6 T hen I am not ashamed In my looking unto all Thy commands.

Então não ficarei confundido, atentando para todos os teus mandamentos.

7 I confess Thee with uprightness of heart, In my learning the judgments of Thy righteousness.

Louvar-te-ei com retidão de coração, quando tiver aprendido as tuas retas ordenanças.

8 T hy statutes I keep, leave me not utterly!

Observarei os teus estatutos; não me desampares totalmente!

9 W ith what doth a young man purify his path? To observe -- according to Thy word.

Como purificará o jovem o seu caminho? Observando-o de acordo com a tua palavra.

10 W ith all my heart I have sought Thee, Let me not err from Thy commands.

De todo o meu coração tenho te buscado; não me deixes desviar dos teus mandamentos.

11 I n my heart I have hid Thy saying, That I sin not before Thee.

Escondi a tua palavra no meu coração, para não pecar contra ti.

12 B lessed Thou, O Jehovah, teach me Thy statutes.

Bendito és tu, ó Senhor; ensina-me os teus estatutos.

13 W ith my lips I have recounted All the judgments of Thy mouth.

Com os meus lábios declaro todas as ordenanças da tua boca.

14 I n the way of Thy testimonies I have joyed, As over all wealth.

Regozijo-me no caminho dos teus testemunhos, tanto como em todas as riquezas.

15 I n Thy precepts I meditate, And I behold attentively Thy paths.

Em teus preceitos medito, e observo os teus caminhos.

16 I n Thy statutes I delight myself, I do not forget Thy word.

Deleitar-me-ei nos teus estatutos; não me esquecerei da tua palavra.

17 C onfer benefits on Thy servant, I live, and I keep Thy word.

Faze bem ao teu servo, para que eu viva; assim observarei a tua palavra.

18 U ncover mine eyes, and I behold wonders out of Thy law.

Desvenda os meus olhos, para que eu veja as maravilhas da tua lei.

19 A sojourner I on earth, Hide not from me Thy commands.

Sou peregrino na terra; não escondas de mim os teus mandamentos.

20 B roken hath my soul for desire Unto Thy judgments at all times.

A minha alma se consome de anelos por tuas ordenanças em todo o tempo.

21 T hou hast rebuked the cursed proud, Who are erring from Thy commands.

Tu repreendeste os soberbos, os malditos, que se desviam dos teus mandamentos.

22 R emove from me reproach and contempt, For Thy testimonies I have kept.

Tira de sobre mim o opróbrio e o desprezo, pois tenho guardado os teus testemunhos.

23 P rinces also sat -- against me they spoke, Thy servant doth meditate in Thy statutes,

Príncipes sentaram-se e falavam contra mim, mas o teu servo meditava nos teus estatutos.

24 T hy testimonies also my delight, The men of my counsel!

Os teus testemunhos são o meu prazer e os meus conselheiros.

25 C leaved to the dust hath my soul, Quicken me according to Thy word.

A minha alma apega-se ao pó; vivifica-me segundo a tua palavra.

26 M y ways I have recounted, And Thou answerest me, teach me Thy statutes,

Meus caminhos te descrevi, e tu me ouviste; ensina-me os teus estatutos.

27 T he way of Thy precepts cause me to understand, And I meditate in Thy wonders.

Faze-me entender o caminho dos teus preceitos; assim meditarei nas tuas maravilhas.

28 M y soul hath dropped from affliction, Establish me according to Thy word.

A minha alma se consome de tristeza; fortalece-me segundo a tua palavra.

29 T he way of falsehood turn aside from me And with Thy law favour me.

Desvia de mim o caminho da falsidade, e ensina-me benignidade a tua lei.

30 T he way of faithfulness I have chosen, Thy judgments I have compared,

Escolhi o caminho da fidelidade; diante de mim pus as tuas ordenanças.

31 I have adhered to Thy testimonies, O Jehovah, put me not to shame.

Apego-me aos teus testemunhos, ó Senhor; não seja eu envergonhado.

32 T he way of Thy commands I run, For Thou dost enlarge my heart!

Percorrerei o caminho dos teus mandamentos, quando dilatares o meu coração.

33 S how me, O Jehovah, the way of Thy statutes, And I keep it -- the end.

Ensina-me, ó Senhor, o caminho dos teus estatutos, e eu o guardarei até o fim.

34 C ause me to understand, and I keep Thy law, And observe it with the whole heart.

Dá-me entendimento, para que eu guarde a tua lei, e a observe de todo o meu coração.

35 C ause me to tread in the path of Thy commands, For in it I have delighted.

Faze-me andar na vereda dos teus mandamentos, porque nela me comprazo.

36 I ncline my heart unto Thy testimonies, And not unto dishonest gain.

Inclina o meu coração para os teus testemunhos, e não para a cobiça.

37 R emove mine eyes from seeing vanity, In Thy way quicken Thou me.

Desvia os meus olhos de contemplarem a vaidade, e vivifica-me no teu caminho.

38 E stablish to Thy servant Thy saying, That concerning Thy fear.

Confirma a tua promessa ao teu servo, que se inclina ao teu temor.

39 R emove my reproach that I have feared, For Thy judgments good.

Desvia de mim o opróbrio que temo, pois as tuas ordenanças são boas.

40 L o, I have longed for Thy precepts, In Thy righteousness quicken Thou me,

Eis que tenho anelado os teus preceitos; vivifica-me por tua justiça.

41 A nd meet me doth Thy kindness, O Jehovah, Thy salvation according to Thy saying.

Venha também sobre mim a tua benignidade, ó Senhor, e a tua salvação, segundo a tua palavra.

42 A nd I answer him who is reproaching me a word, For I have trusted in Thy word.

Assim terei o que responder ao que me afronta, pois confio na tua palavra.

43 A nd Thou takest not utterly away From my mouth the word of truth, Because for Thy judgment I have hoped.

De minha boca não tires totalmente a palavra da verdade, pois tenho esperado nos teus juízos.

44 A nd I keep Thy law continually, To the age and for ever.

Assim observarei de contínuo a tua lei, para sempre e eternamente;

45 A nd I walk habitually in a broad place, For Thy precepts I have sought.

e andarei em liberdade, pois tenho buscado os teus preceitos.

46 A nd I speak of Thy testimonies before kings, And I am not ashamed.

Falarei dos teus testemunhos perante os reis, e não me envergonharei.

47 A nd I delight myself in Thy commands, That I have loved,

Deleitar-me-ei em teus mandamentos, que eu amo.

48 A nd I lift up my hands unto Thy commands, That I have loved, And I do meditate on Thy statutes!

Também levantarei as minhas mãos para os teus mandamentos, que amo, e meditarei nos teus estatutos.

49 R emember the word to Thy servant, On which Thou hast caused me to hope.

Lembra-te da palavra dada ao teu servo, na qual me fizeste esperar.

50 T his my comfort in mine affliction, That Thy saying hath quickened me.

Isto é a minha consolação na minha angústia, que a tua promessa me vivifica.

51 T he proud have utterly scorned me, From Thy law I have not turned aside.

Os soberbos zombaram grandemente de mim; contudo não me desviei da tua lei.

52 I remembered Thy judgments of old, O Jehovah, And I comfort myself.

53 H orror hath seized me, Because of the wicked forsaking Thy law.

Grande indignação apoderou-se de mim, por causa dos ímpios que abandonam a tua lei.

54 S ongs have been to me Thy statutes, In the house of my sojournings.

Os teus estatutos têm sido os meus cânticos na casa da minha peregrinação.

55 I have remembered in the night Thy name, O Jehovah, And I do keep Thy law.

De noite me lembrei do teu nome, ó Senhor, e observei a tua lei.

56 T his hath been to me, That Thy precepts I have kept!

Isto me sucedeu, porque tenho guardado os teus preceitos.

57 M y portion Jehovah; I have said -- to keep Thy words,

O Senhor é o meu quinhão; prometo observar as tuas palavras.

58 I appeased Thy face with the whole heart, Favour me according to Thy saying.

De todo o meu coração imploro o teu favor; tem piedade de mim, segundo a tua palavra.

59 I have reckoned my ways, And turn back my feet unto Thy testimonies.

Quando considero os meus caminhos, volto os meus pés para os teus testemunhos.

60 I have made haste, And delayed not, to keep Thy commands.

Apresso-me sem detença a observar os teus mandamentos.

61 C ords of the wicked have surrounded me, Thy law I have not forgotten.

Enleiam-me os laços dos ímpios; mas eu não me esqueço da tua lei.

62 A t midnight I rise to give thanks to Thee, For the judgments of Thy righteousness.

 meia-noite me levanto para dar-te graças, por causa dos teus retos juízos.

63 A companion I to all who fear Thee, And to those keeping Thy precepts.

Companheiro sou de todos os que te temem, e dos que guardam os teus preceitos.

64 O f Thy kindness, O Jehovah, the earth is full, Thy statutes teach Thou me!

A terra, ó Senhor, está cheia da tua benignidade; ensina-me os teus estatutos.

65 G ood Thou didst with Thy servant, O Jehovah, According to Thy word.

Tens usado de bondade para com o teu servo, Senhor, segundo a tua palavra.

66 T he goodness of reason and knowledge teach me, For in Thy commands I have believed.

Ensina-me bom juízo e ciência, pois creio nos teus mandamentos.

67 B efore I am afflicted, I -- I am erring, And now Thy saying I have kept.

Antes de ser afligido, eu me extraviava; mas agora guardo a tua palavra.

68 G ood Thou, and doing good, Teach me Thy statutes.

Tu és bom e fazes o bem; ensina-me os teus estatutos.

69 F orged against me falsehood have the proud, I with the whole heart keep Thy precepts.

Os soberbos forjam mentiras contra mim; mas eu de todo o coração guardo os teus preceitos.

70 I nsensate as fat hath been their heart, I -- in Thy law I have delighted.

Torna-se-lhes insensível o coração como a gordura; mas eu me deleito na tua lei.

71 G ood for me that I have been afflicted, That I might learn Thy statutes.

Foi-me bom ter sido afligido, para que aprendesse os teus estatutos.

72 B etter to me the law of Thy mouth Than thousands of gold and silver!

Melhor é para mim a lei da tua boca do que milhares de ouro e prata.

73 T hy hands made me and establish me, Cause me to understand, and I learn Thy commands.

As tuas mãos me fizeram e me formaram; dá-me entendimento para que aprenda os teus mandamentos.

74 T hose fearing Thee see me and rejoice, Because for Thy word I have hoped.

Os que te temem me verão e se alegrarão, porque tenho esperado na tua palavra.

75 I have known, O Jehovah, That righteous Thy judgments, And faithfulness Thou hast afflicted me.

Bem sei eu, ó Senhor, que os teus juízos são retos, e que em tua fidelidade me afligiste.

76 L et, I pray Thee, Thy kindness be to comfort me, According to Thy saying to Thy servant.

Sirva, pois, a tua benignidade para me consolar, segundo a palavra que deste ao teu servo.

77 M eet me do Thy mercies, and I live, For Thy law my delight.

Venham sobre mim as tuas ternas misericórdias, para que eu viva, pois a tua lei é o meu deleite.

78 A shamed are the proud, For falsehood they dealt perversely with me. I meditate in Thy precepts.

Envergonhados sejam os soberbos, por me haverem subvertido sem causa; mas eu meditarei nos teus preceitos.

79 T hose fearing Thee turn back to me, And those knowing Thy testimonies.

Voltem-se para mim os que te temem, para que conheçam os teus testemunhos.

80 M y heart is perfect in Thy statutes, So that I am not ashamed.

Seja perfeito o meu coração nos teus estatutos, para que eu não seja envergonhado.

81 C onsumed for Thy salvation hath been my soul, For Thy word I have hoped.

Desfalece a minha alma, aguardando a tua salvação; espero na tua palavra.

82 C onsumed have been mine eyes for Thy word, Saying, `When doth it comfort me?'

Os meus olhos desfalecem, esperando por tua promessa, enquanto eu pergunto: Quando me consolarás tu?

83 F or I have been as a bottle in smoke, Thy statutes I have not forgotten.

Pois tornei-me como odre na fumaça, mas não me esqueci dos teus estatutos.

84 H ow many the days of Thy servant? When dost Thou execute Against my pursuers judgment?

Quantos serão os dias do teu servo? Até quando não julgarás aqueles que me perseguem?

85 T he proud have digged for me pits, That not according to Thy law.

Abriram covas para mim os soberbos, que não andam segundo a tua lei.

86 A ll Thy commands faithfulness, falsehood they have pursued me, Help Thou me.

Todos os teus mandamentos são fiéis. Sou perseguido injustamente; ajuda-me!

87 A lmost consumed me on earth have they, And I -- I have not forsaken Thy precepts.

Quase que me consumiram sobre a terra, mas eu não deixei os teus preceitos.

88 A ccording to Thy kindness quicken Thou me, And I keep the testimony of Thy mouth!

Vivifica-me segundo a tua benignidade, para que eu guarde os testemunhos da tua boca.

89 T o the age, O Jehovah, Thy word is set up in the heavens.

Oh! quão doces são as tuas palavras ao meu paladar! mais doces do que o mel ã minha boca.

104 F rom Thy precepts I have understanding, Therefore I have hated every false path!

Pelos teus preceitos alcanço entendimento, pelo que aborreço toda vereda de falsidade.

105 A lamp to my foot Thy word, And a light to my path.

Lâmpada para os meus pés é a tua palavra, e luz para o meu caminho.

106 I have sworn, and I confirm, To keep the judgments of Thy righteousness.

Fiz juramento, e o confirmei, de guardar as tuas justas ordenanças.

107 I have been afflicted very much, O Jehovah, quicken me, according to Thy word.

Estou aflitíssimo; vivifica-me, ó Senhor, segundo a tua palavra.

118 T hou hast trodden down All going astray from Thy statutes, For falsehood their deceit.

Desprezas todos os que se desviam dos teus estatutos, pois a astúcia deles é falsidade.

119 D ross! Thou hast caused to cease All the wicked of the earth; Therefore I have loved Thy testimonies.

Deitas fora, como escória, todos os ímpios da terra; pelo que amo os teus testemunhos.

120 T rembled from Thy fear hath my flesh, And from Thy judgments I have been afraid!

Arrepia-se-me a carne com temor de ti, e tenho medo dos teus juízos.

121 I have done judgment and righteousness, Leave me not to mine oppressors.

Tenho praticado a retidão e a justiça; não me abandones aos meus opressores.

122 M ake sure Thy servant for good, Let not the proud oppress me.

Fica por fiador do teu servo para o bem; não me oprimem os soberbos.

123 M ine eyes have been consumed for Thy salvation. And for the saying of Thy righteousness.

Os meus olhos desfalecem ã espera da tua salvação e da promessa da tua justiça.

124 D o with Thy servant according to Thy kindness. And Thy statutes teach Thou me.

Trata com o teu servo segundo a tua benignidade, e ensina-me os teus estatutos.

125 T hy servant I -- cause me to understand, And I know Thy testimonies.

161 P rinces have pursued me without cause, And because of Thy words was my heart afraid.

162 I do rejoice concerning Thy saying, As one finding abundant spoil.

Regozijo-me com a tua palavra, como quem acha grande despojo.

163 F alsehood I have hated, yea I abominate, Thy law I have loved.

Odeio e abomino a falsidade; amo, porém, a tua lei.

164 S even in a day I have praised Thee, Because of the judgments of Thy righteousness.

Sete vezes no dia te louvo pelas tuas justas ordenanças.

165 A bundant peace have those loving Thy law, And they have no stumbling-block.

Muita paz têm os que amam a tua lei, e não há nada que os faça tropeçar.

166 I have waited for Thy salvation, O Jehovah, And Thy commands I have done.

Espero, Senhor, na tua salvação, e cumpro os teus mandamentos.

167 K ept hath my soul Thy testimonies, And I do love them exceedingly.

A minha alma observa os teus testemunhos; amo-os extremamente.

168 I have kept Thy precepts and Thy testimonies, For all my ways are before Thee!

Observo os teus preceitos e os teus testemunhos, pois todos os meus caminhos estão diante de ti.

169 M y loud cry cometh near before Thee, O Jehovah; According to Thy word cause me to understand.

Chegue a ti o meu clamor, ó Senhor; dá-me entendimento conforme a tua palavra.

170 M y supplication cometh in before Thee, According to Thy saying deliver Thou me.

Chegue ã tua presença a minha súplica; livra-me segundo a tua palavra.

171 M y lips do utter praise, For Thou dost teach me Thy statutes.

Profiram louvor os meus lábios, pois me ensinas os teus estatutos.

172 M y tongue doth sing of Thy saying, For all Thy commands righteous.

Celebre a minha língua a tua palavra, pois todos os teus mandamentos são justos.

173 T hy hand is for a help to me, For Thy commands I have chosen.

Esteja pronta a tua mão para me socorrer, pois escolhi os teus preceitos.

174 I have longed for Thy salvation, O Jehovah, And Thy law my delight.

Anelo por tua salvação, ó Senhor; a tua lei é o meu prazer.

175 M y soul liveth, and it doth praise Thee, And Thy judgments do help me.

Que minha alma viva, para que te louve; ajudem-me as tuas ordenanças.

176 I wandered as a lost sheep, seek Thy servant, For Thy precepts I have not forgotten!

Desgarrei-me como ovelha perdida; busca o teu servo, pois não me esqueço dos teus mandamentos.
