1 A nd in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, at the completion of the word of Jehovah from the mouth of Jeremiah, hath Jehovah waked up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, and he causeth an intimation to pass over into all his kingdom, and also in writing, saying,

No primeiro ano de Ciro, rei da Pérsia, para que se cumprisse a palavra do Senhor proferida pela boca de Jeremias, despertou o Senhor o espírito de Ciro, rei da Pérsia, de modo que ele fez proclamar por todo o seu reino, de viva voz e também por escrito, este decreto:

2 ` Thus said Cyrus king of Persia, All kingdoms of the earth hath Jehovah, God of the heavens, given to me, and He hath laid a charge on me to build to Him a house in Jerusalem, that in Judah;

Assim diz Ciro, rei da Pérsia: O Senhor Deus do céu me deu todos os reinos da terra, e me encarregou de lhe edificar uma casa em Jerusalém, que é em Judá.

3 w ho among you of all His people? His God is with him, and he doth go up to Jerusalem, that in Judah, and build the house of Jehovah, God of Israel -- He God -- that in Jerusalem.

Quem há entre vós de todo o seu povo (seja seu Deus com ele) suba para Jerusalém, que é em Judá, e edifique a casa do Senhor, Deus de Israel; ele é o Deus que habita em Jerusalém.

4 ` And every one who is left, of any of the places where he a sojourner, assist him do the men of his place with silver, and with gold, and with goods, and with beasts, along with a free-will offering for the house of God, that in Jerusalem.'

E todo remanescente, seja qual for o lugar em que é peregrino, seja ajudado pelos homens desse lugar com prata, com ouro, com bens e com animais, afora a oferta voluntária para a casa de Deus, que está em Jerusalém.

5 A nd heads of the fathers of Judah and Benjamin rise, and the priests and the Levites, even every one whose spirit God hath waked, to go up to build the house of Jehovah, that in Jerusalem;

Então se levantaram os chefes das casas paternas de Judá e Benjamim e os sacerdotes, e os levitas, todos aqueles cujo espírito Deus despertara, para subirem a edificar a casa do Senhor, que está em Jerusalém.

6 a nd all those round about them have strengthened with their hands, with vessels of silver, with gold, with goods, and with beasts, and with precious things, apart from all that hath been offered willingly.

E todos os seus vizinhos os ajudaram com utensílios de prata, com ouro, com bens, com animais e com coisas preciosas, afora tudo o que se ofereceu voluntariamente.

7 A nd the king Cyrus hath brought out the vessels of the house of Jehovah that Nebuchadnezzar hath brought out of Jerusalem, and putteth them in the house of his gods;

Também o rei Ciro tirou os utensílios que pertenciam ã casa do Senhor e que Nabucodonozor tinha trazido de Jerusalém e posto na casa de seus deuses.

8 y ea, Cyrus king of Persia bringeth them out by the hand of Mithredath the treasurer, and numbereth them to Sheshbazzar the prince of Judah.

Ciro, rei da Pérsia, tirou-os pela mão de Mitredate, o tesoureiro, que os entregou contados a Sesbazar, príncipe de Judá.

9 A nd this their number: dishes of gold thirty, dishes of silver a thousand, knives nine and twenty,

Este é o número deles: Trinta bacias de ouro, mil bacias de prata, vinte e nove incensários,

10 b asins of gold thirty, basins of silver (seconds) four hundred and ten, other vessels a thousand.

trinta taças de ouro, quatrocentas e dez taças de prata e mil outros utensílios.

11 A ll the vessels of gold and of silver five thousand and four hundred; the whole hath Sheshbazzar brought up with the going up of the removal from Babylon to Jerusalem.

Todos os utensílios de ouro e de prata foram cinco mil e quatrocentos; todos estes levou Sesbazar, quando os do cativeiro foram conduzidos de Babilônia para Jerusalém.
