1 A nd when he openeth the seventh seal, there came silence in the heaven about half-an-hour,

Quando abriu o sétimo selo, fez-se silêncio no céu, quase por meia hora.

2 a nd I saw the seven messengers who before God have stood, and there were given to them seven trumpets,

E vi os sete anjos que estavam em pé diante de Deus, e lhes foram dadas sete trombetas.

3 a nd another messenger did come, and he stood at the altar, having a golden censer, and there was given to him much perfume, that he may give to the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar that before the throne,

Veio outro anjo, e pôs-se junto ao altar, tendo um incensário de ouro; e foi-lhe dado muito incenso, para que o oferecesse com as orações de todos os santos sobre o altar de ouro que está diante do trono.

4 a nd go up did the smoke of the perfumes to the prayers of the saints out of the hand of the messenger, before God;

E da mão do anjo subiu diante de Deus a fumaça do incenso com as orações dos santos.

5 a nd the messenger took the censer, and did fill it out of the fire of the altar, and did cast to the earth, and there came voices, and thunders, and lightnings, and an earthquake.

Depois do anjo tomou o incensário, encheu-o do fogo do altar e o lançou sobre a terra; e houve trovões, vozes, relâmpagos e terremoto.

6 A nd the seven messengers who are having the seven trumpets did prepare themselves that they may sound;

Então os sete anjos que tinham as sete trombetas prepararam-se para tocar.

7 a nd the first messenger did sound, and there came hail and fire, mingled with blood, and it was cast to the land, and the third of the trees was burnt up, and all the green grass was burnt up.

O primeiro anjo tocou a sua trombeta, e houve saraiva e fogo misturado com sangue, que foram lançados na terra; e foi queimada a terça parte da terra, a terça parte das árvores, e toda a erva verde.

8 A nd the second messenger did sound, and as it were a great mountain with fire burning was cast into the sea, and the third of the sea became blood,

O segundo anjo tocou a sua trombeta, e foi lançado no mar como que um grande monte ardendo em fogo, e tornou-se em sangue a terça parte do mar.

9 a nd die did the third of the creatures that in the sea, those having life, and the third of the ships were destroyed.

E morreu a terça parte das criaturas viventes que havia no mar, e foi destruída a terça parte dos navios.

10 A nd the third messenger did sound, and there fell out of the heaven a great star, burning as a lamp, and it did fall upon the third of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters,

O terceiro anjo tocou a sua trombeta, e caiu do céu uma grande estrela, ardendo como uma tocha, e caiu sobre a terça parte dos rios, e sobre as fontes das águas.

11 a nd the name of the star is called Wormwood, and the third of the waters doth become wormwood, and many of the men did die of the waters, because they were made bitter.

O nome da estrela era Absinto; e a terça parte das águas tornou-se em absinto, e muitos homens morreram das águas, porque se tornaram amargas.

12 A nd the fourth messenger did sound, and smitten was the third of the sun, and the third of the moon, and the third of the stars, that darkened may be the third of them, and that the day may not shine -- the third of it, and the night in like manner.

O quarto anjo tocou a sua trombeta, e foi ferida a terça parte do sol, a terça parte da lua, e a terça parte das estrelas; para que a terça parte deles se escurecesse, e a terça parte do dia não brilhante, e semelhantemente a da noite.

13 A nd I saw, and I heard one messenger, flying in the mid-heaven, saying with a great voice, `Wo, wo, wo, to those dwelling upon the land from the rest of the voices of the trumpet of the three messengers who are about to sound.'

E olhei, e ouvi uma águia que, voando pelo meio do céu, dizia com grande voz: Ai, ai, ai dos que habitam sobre a terra! por causa dos outros toques de trombeta dos três anjos que ainda vão tocar.
